SubChapter 2 of my TWWWW story

Tanya awakens after being knocked out and encounters a very angry woman

TWWWW SubChp.2 Unwanted captive

Tanya's head hurt. Something cold was being pressed against her head. She opened her eyes and saw night sky. She didn't know what was going on.

"Good to see you're awake," Said a woman. Tanya didn't recognize the voice.

"Where am I?" she asked.

"Where you're not supposed to be,"

The reply confused her, but her memory kicked back in and Tanya recalled what had happened. "My hand!" Tanya yelled and brought her left arm up into her vision. It was still attached. But if it was still ok then had any of that happened? Her thought was interrupted when she got punched on her forehead, and before she could react a long thin blade was held in front of her face and the woman yelled at her. "Next time I'll use the sharp side!"

A cold fear filled her, all that had happened, and she nearly lost her hand. Tanya started to turn her head to see who this woman was, but an unknown hand slammed over her eyes and knocked her head hard against the ground.

"Don't fucking look at me!" the woman yelled. The hand felt cold against her face, and was covered with soft scales with a hard spot in the middle.

"Please don't hurt me..." Tanya sobbed, her head now hurt more with the abuse she just received, and this woman's cold scaled hand on her face made her skin crawl. There was a deep rumbling growl. she didn't think her chances of survival were improving.

"Don't move, and keep your eyes shut!"

She took her hand off her face and Tanya did as she said and kept her eyes shut, she didn't want to anger her any more. She first heard some shuffling. Then she heard some water dripping and then a flapping noise. What had to be a damp cloth was placed over her eyes, and then tied up tightly round her head.

"Now listen, don't dare peek and do as I say, understand?"

"Ok," she replied.

"Now get up!" she yelled as she grabbed hold of Tanya's arm and pulled her up on to her feet, but she didn't stay up for long. The moment she let go of her arm she immediately felt dizzy. Very soon she completely lost sense of which way was up. She was spinning through space. Then she stopped. She was caught in a pair of arms, stopping her from her fall.

"Shit! No, no, no. You're not in a good condition" came the scaled woman's voice inches from her. "Come now let me put you down over here." She then started to lead her, her voice tone had changed and it sounded as if she was upset.

Tanya had to grip on to the woman's arms for better support. Her arms were covered with cold, hard scales, different than the palm of her hand

"Here now, sit down. You'll feel a low wall next to you, hold on to it. Don't climb on or over it or you'll fall to your death." She said as she lowered her onto what had to be a box. Tanya let go immediately of her and gripped the wall on her right side.

"Now stay here. And don't take off that blindfold!" she then heard her walk away.

She sat alone in silence waiting for the world to stop spinning. She began to think of how to escape from this place, but she couldn't see anything. She would need to take off the blindfold if she wanted to do anything.

"Hello?" she said and listened. There was no reply so she assumed she had truly left.

She slowly lifted the blindfold off her one eye.

It looked like she was on a stone balcony, half cut into the side of the mountain. When she looked over the wall she saw that it was pretty damn high up. Getting down from here would be impossible. This place was built on a vertical face of the mountain. She would need another way. She looked over to what else was here, she could see a fire pit with some wood next to it, a bunch more boxes around the one she was sitting on, a large telescope stood in the corner, and the only doorway out of the place which stood open.

The doorway was her only hope, but she would be through there as well. And there was no telling when she would be back or where that path went. She began to weigh her option against each other. On one side if she stayed and didn't try anything she might be set free, but she might just be killed anyways. On the other she could run out and be free, but she might get lost or run into her and get killed, she might even chase after her and kill her for running.

It really looked like she was going to die. That woman was definitely some monster. Maybe it's a good thing she didn't see what she looked like, she was probably hideous.

"I'm coming back! That blindfold better still be on!" shouted the woman from somewhere past the doorway.

She quickly pulled the blindfold down over her eye, her chance for escape was gone, she would just have to wait and hope she would be spared. But as she sat and listened for her footsteps coming back she wondered why the woman was warning her of her coming back? Why did she blindfold her in the first place? She definitely didn't want her to see her.

She heard footsteps approach her, then the woman spoke "I'm glad to see you haven't done anything. As you hit your head pretty hard there is no choice but to keep you here till your better,"

She then felt something hit her leg. "I brought you your bag" she continued.

Tanya felt confused by what was happening. She reached down and felt the bag, it was indeed hers.

Before she could ask the woman answered her question.

"Oh don't look so confused. If it was up to me I'd be hitting you all the way out here and never see your face again. Since you can't even stand you'll most likely trip and break your neck while going down the stairs. Dead little girls tend to attract attention."

She sat there thinking of what she just said. She was alive, and going to live. There was the noise of wood being dropped, then the soft crackling of fire coming to life.

"So I can leave once I can stand by myself?" she asked the woman.

"Of course, but stay there and wait, head injuries take time."

Her fears fell away and she felt relieved, she would live past this day. Though she might be here for a while, her head was still spinning.

After a while of sitting just waiting she started getting bored, and thirsty, also her head still hurt. The night air breeze was helping with the headache. She reached into her bag and got her bottle of water. A drink later she started thinking of what she could do, she started to fumble round her bag. Her hand clasped a book, something to read! But she stopped half way taking it out, she couldn't see, it would be pointless. The woman must have noticed. "What book is that?"

"I can't see."

"Don't you know what you packed?"

"Oh, I packed my diary, and two story books, but I can't see which it is."

"Then hold it up."

She brought the book back up and held it in front of her, hoping it was upright and facing the correct direction.

"Rose of Stenekal. Oh, a book on roses, you like gardening?"

"No, this is a romance."

"Ugh... Romance books are boring."

There was a moment of silence in which she returned the book to her bag. She then remembered the pile of books in the room she was knocked out in. She decided to ask about it, even though her head hurt and she still felt dizzy she could still talk. It would pass the time, even if that meant talking to a monster.

"You have a lot of books, don't you? What do you read?"

There was an awkward silence. For a moment she thought she was alone but then the woman answered her.

"Alchemy, mechanics, metallurgy... right now I'm reading a book on astronomy."

She started thinking what those were. She knew what alchemy was and remembered that astronomy was some wizard stuff. She didn't know what mechanics or metallurgy was, the second sounded like it had to do with metals. But thinking about the book pile she began to wonder about the other events that had occurred, she wondered about the box and the trapped musicians, the suit of armor, the glowing stone, the black and white ghost and why they trapped her so. Nothing better to do than ask.

"Do you know about the ghosts?"

It was a while before the woman replied "yes."

"Well, could you tell me about th-" her sentence was cut short when she heard the woman move up right next to her and start shouting in her ear "if you want to talk about something let's talk about why you barged through the red door instead of running through the fucking unlocked door!"

She could only shrink as the woman shouted at her and whimper "I didn't know the door was unlocked."

"Of course you wouldn't, you were too busy pissing yourself on the floor! You could have run home! But now you're here, trying to pass the time by talking instead of staying still and getting better!"

"I'm sorry"

"Shut up! You can talk again to tell me your head stopped hurting. After that you'll get out of here and forget everything, understand?"

She nodded. Then the woman walked away. She sat in silence for the rest of the time doing nothing but hoping that she would be better soon until she silently fell asleep against the wall.
