Towards a Brighter Day
#4 of Poetry
Just a short poem I wrote once upon a time ^^
Every night the moonlight casts its long shadows across the world and I take a hold of the hands of those that care for me.
I step through a door searching for my dreams once swallowed by darkness
Though soon the skies will clear, I know that through the gentle breeze through my fingers that's sure to clear the clouds
And though the clouds will gather again someday, I know that a gentle breeze is all that's needed to clear them again as I smile towards the brilliant blue sky
Remembering the warmth of those that I hold close to me I call your names
In this uncertain world you all stand firm by me
As I softly fall asleep the gentle rain falls against my windows
Lured into a deep slumber, I dreamt of a life - a dream I never woke up from
The break of dawn pulls me from my slumber taking my hopes with it - a reason to wake up another day and ensure I never lose my hopes by keeping them close to me
We all talk of friendship and leave behind the tales of our struggles, in the hopes of being remembered, never forgotten
Remembering the warmth of those that I hold close to me I call your names
In this uncertain world you all stand firm by me.
