Drako's Wish, a Dragons tale

Chapter Seven: The Shaman

I woke up slowly not wanting to open my eyes. I looked around. I was in a hut. I heard some faint crackling of fire outside the tent. I slowly to get up from the bed in was in when I felt a small pressure on my chest. "Oh no you don't, I didn't stitch al those wound for nothing." I looked up and saw a Fox. My mouth dropped. "Who are you?" I groaned out in pain. It hurt even to talk. "You fell into our village late last night. We gave you all the medical treatments that our village had to offer, And I am the Villages Shaman Kara."

I lead my head back down. "I'm Drako. I am sorry that I fell into your village. I was in a great battle not to far from here in the Valley of Dragons. I don't remember much but I fell into a forest."

I ached all over. My body felt battered and broken. I must have done much more to my body then I had expected. What did I do? I remember something's. Then I realized. I had transformed into something over then a half Dragon. I bolted up ignoring the pains of my batter body. I walked out of the hut and into the village outside. I looked around. There was a pall of water at the foot of the small porch of the hut. I picked it up looking at my reflection. "Good still normal Drako."

"What in the sane hell are you doing?" Kara tugged on something from behind. A surge of pain went through my body then it went limp. I fell to the ground. "What happened? I can't move?"

"I pulled on your tail. That probably why you went limp now get up and get back into bed." She helped me to my feet and walks me back into the hut laying me back onto the bed I was in.

After doing that she went over to get a bowl of water. "If you wanted water you could have asked me for some." She said handing me the bowl. I took it and drank it with gratefulness.

I placed the bowl down. "What are you? I never saw a walking, talking Fox before?"

"Well I never saw a Half Dragon before." She joked back. "I am known to other as a Vixen. This village is home to a tribal Kind of Fox bringing. We are called the Hokanoes."

"I've read legend about you people. But you only reside in the Merlin Forest. That could only mean one thing." I stopped.

"Yes you're far away from the Dragon Valley."

"Marina, I remembered Marina fallowing me." I bolt yet again upwards.

I fell back as yet another surge of pain brought me back down.

"She is alright. She can come see you as soon as you recover enough to have company. You have along road ahead of you before you will be able to leave. Now relax and rest." She said taking the bowl that I lead down beside me. She walked out of the hut.

I felt myself get sleepy and slowly drift away.

I was running. I leaped into the air flapping my wings. I had to get in the air fast.

I was running from something. What was it? I heard cruel laugh. Fire erupted from around my body. Incasing me in a ball of fire, a body appeared. It was in a long red robe with a crown on top.

"W...who are you?" I yelled out in pain.

"I am King Gazer. I am the true Ruler of this world and the next. You my dear boy will find the keys for me and opening the gateway to the other world. If not I will destroy you along with you friend and you little girlfriend." He raised his hand. I felt pain like no other. It coursed through my body.

Anger boiled in my gut. The evil residing in my body burst out with dark energy. My eyes glowed red as my body changed. My shirt ripped to shreds as my body grew. My scales turn black. Dark horns burst out of my head. My wings grew larger. I was transforming into from more then a half.

"GAZER, I WILL KILL YOU!" My voice thundered. "You have no idea who you're fucking with."

He laughed, "You can't fight me. I'm more powerful then you'll ever be." I vanished from within the fire ball. "What, uhhck.

I stabbed him with my claw. "Can't beat you huh?"

He laughed and vanished. Pain coursed through my body yet again. It was like I was struck by lightning. "Let that be warning. Do not go to the west across the big ocean. Or you will be destroyed."

I woke up.

"Phew thank god you woke up." I heard Kara say.

"Why what happened?" I asked trying to open my eyes.

"You started to yell and flop around on your bed. I did what I could to keep you from moving anymore."

Later on I was able to go outside for some fresh air. It was absolutely beautiful. The air smelt fresh and clean. I could smell flower blossoming in the sun shine on the end of the porch. There were little children running and giggling as they played games with their brother's and sisters. One of the little ones accidentally threw a ball towards me. But me being in my little paradise I didn't even notice. It hit me in the head causing me to fall over backwards. The little kid came running over to me. "Hey Mr. are you alright?"

I looked around at them and broke out in laughed. "It's going to take a lot more then that to take me out." They giggled. I picked up the ball. "Is this yours?" I pointed the ball to the smallest one. "Yes sir thank you." He took it and ran off.

"Need some help there tiger?" I heard a familiar voice rang through my head. I looked up and there she was. "MARINA!"

It got dark. I and Marina talked around a fire pit. We got caught up on something's. One was who those shadows were. Kara came in on our conversation. "There are of a secret tribal people. They are mere shadows of evil. My people do not speak of these creatures."

"Kara do you know anything about the three keys and the Staff of Openings?" I looked up at her, into to her mysterious red eyes.

"Yes do know of them but badly enough I have no idea where they are."

I sighed. Something was ringing the hell out in the back of my head. There was something heard. I realized. King Gazer had said in my dream 'do not go west, past the big ocean.' "I know where the first key is." I said suddenly. Kara and Marina both looked at me. "It's in a country called America."

Kara gasped out. Marina looked at me, "Where is this America?"

Kara was the first to speak, "It's a country far west from our own country. But why of all places is it there?"

"Why what wrong?" Marina asked.

"It's not like this country. It's more advance in technology. There's planes flying over head, little thing called cars that take people to over places faster then horses."

"Then it's settled we're going to America to find the first Key." I got up suddenly, I raised my fist up. "I'll go right now if... Ouch."

Kara bonked me on the head. "You're not going anywhere just yet. You still have weeks until you fully recover."

"I know but still. Before I go find the first Key I need to find the Staff of Openings."

I started to feel sleepy as we made our way. Marina made a request to Kara if I could sleep with her. She didn't like it but gave the ok. So we made our way to Marina's cabin which was at the far in of the village near a large lake. Marina helped me inside considering I had a broken leg when I had fallen. He sat me down on the couch which was near small oil lantern. I lit it with a small string of fire. Light a reached out inside the small room. We cuddled together as we sat in the room alone. We kissed. "God I was worried out you. When you had changed into that form, I didn't know what to think?

"I knew you hadn't changed but you looked really scary. It was like you were a totally other person. Drako promise me something?"

"Now I can't start making promises."

"Promise!" she demanded me.

"Ok what is it?"

"Don't ever leave my side. When you had disappeared that night I was scared that... that..." She started to cry.

I went wide eyed. No one had loved me as much as Marina did. "Marina I don't know if I told you lately that you have beautiful eyes."

She giggled at me knew to well what I was doing. I couldn't help but bring her close to me. "Nothing is going to happen to me. I would kill a thousand of those shadow figures before anyone could break us apart. Our love for one another will last forever."

"Then prove it. Take me right here and now." She cried out.

"B...but Marina now is not the time for that. I still have time to heal."

"Don't you love me anymore?" She looked at me in tears. I couldn't resist. Fuck my injury. I love her and she loves me, plain and simple. I took her in my arms. Not wanting to let her go. If I had the chance I would leave this world and go to another and build a world especially for people like us. We went into the next room where I found a large mattress. Marina guided me onto the bed as she took her two clothes off completely exposing her beautiful body to me. She was absolutely beautiful. She was like a goddess that had fallen from the heaven. "Did it hurt?" I asked quietly"

"Did what hurt?" She answered back.

"Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?" She laughed at me. She threw a pillow at me. I shed off my clothes and got into bed with her, completely ignoring my bandages. Throw myself on her.
