#3 of Miscellaneous Works

This is a poem in a loose form of a Villanelle that I wrote between classes today. It basically was just a reflection on how I felt while writing and I'm sorry that I use some weak rhymes at times. I hope that I can finally get back to writing more often for you guys and that you enjoy it! Thanks for reading and have a great day!

In the promise of opportunity,

Let us not rest upon days past:

Let us go forth in unity.

What can we have without community?

An inkling of solidarity dashed

And the promise of opportunity.

Can we seek immunity

From the words that hurt and bashed?

Let us go forth in unity.

Is this some ingenuity?

To do what many others have asked

And seek the promise of opportunity?

So let us think prudently:

Should we keep our identities masked

Or go forth in unity?

It isn't fair to call this lunacy

And though the process will not be fast,

In the promise of opportunity,

Let us go forth in unity.
