THE DOUBLE LIFE OF TAILS PROWER

~~~Chapter Three: A Clone Rebellion~~~

Darkness. Eyes were denied any source of colour. There was no light at all. The senses touch and hearing were heightened as a result. Step by step. Rushing down a narrow service tunnel amongst a harsh, monotone voice that echoed in the distance. Intruder alert. Intruder alert. The words echoing again and again - intruder alert - with no end in sight. The tunnel ended abruptly with a rusty door blocking the way.

With the use of metallic claws to preform a quick jab and a lift so that the sealing mechanism of the door would release. It swung open with a loud creak and two surprised foxes turned to face what ever that was confronting them to their left. The metallic paw shot out to grab Azure and the other grabbing Sarah before forcefully snatching them back into the darkness of the tunnel. The door slamming shut a moment later. The alarms still echoing as if the two foxes weren't missed.

An oil covered Tails was speechless and watched in disbelief as he was shouted at by what seemed to be other foxes; until they were suddenly taken away before his very eyes. He couldn't see who they were nor did the dim lighting allow him to get a good look at them to begin with. Sonic came from behind and grabbed him a second later as he announced coolly, "C'mon little bro. Iron lips will have his forces storming this place in a matter of seconds. Time to juice and jam!"

"But. But Sonic!" Tails protested, "I saw people in the holding corridor." Pointing to the empty hallway of rusted doors to urge Sonic to investigate.

Sonic simply shook his head as he peered inside, "There's no one there. Sorry little bro. But we have to go now!" Taking off with Tails not a moment later as he sped out of the detention centre via the new exit; created by the explosion that made way for Sonic's entrance.

In the dimly lit darkness. Dark figures and red lines huddled back and forth. The blue blur and his friend sped through the middle of a group of SWAT bots. In the confusion they all started opening fire and shooting each other up by mistake. Little explosions and flying debris littered the streets as the SWAT bots were basically fighting one another while Sonic and Tails escaped to the safety of the forest - lying along the outskirts of Robotropolis.

In the control room of Robotropolis. Doctor Robotnik managed to get power back to the surveillance systems once again. To add to his rage was pictures of his very own forces destroying themselves. With both fists he slammed the input console and shouted into the microphone, "CEASE FIRE!" The booming voice would carry weight as the chaotic machines ceased all movements and stood awaiting orders. The evil dictator was just about to throw a temper tantrum any second now.

Full power was restored to all systems and the streets were lit up to highlight the eerie smog that polluted the city. All interiors and all quadrants were now brightly lit to maximum visual. The sweeping search to find any freedom fighters in Robotropolis would soon begin. Sonic would be no where to be found. A complete failure that would have the Robotropolis ruler searching for some one to pay. The one who promised with a plan of success. Robotnik would make sure he would not fail him again.

A humming sound would buzz through the head of Azure as he regained consciousness. The simple flicking of a switch would cause a loud snapping sound before lights flickered into existence. The first thing he saw were the rusted walls contrasting with the state of the art benches, equipment and technology. It was what appeared to be an underground laboratory. Feeling he couldn't move, he glanced down to see he was tied to a chair and behind him was Sarah; who was also tied up. It was then he heard foot steps coming towards him.

From behind a solid wall with a metallic finish appeared a red fox. Looking straight at them with rectangle glasses covering his eyes. Azure glanced over before dropping his vision downward, the fox seemed to be dressed in a white, lab coat with matching gloves and footwear. His sight shot back to his face as the fox called over to Azure, "You're awake. That's a good sign. Sorry about knocking you both out back there. But I knew you wouldn't be so willing to come with me." He smiled with a sinister twist, "After all. I am a stranger to you am I not?"

Azure called out in his confusion, "Who are you and why are you holding us here?" He tried to get a better look at Sarah before he would bark more questions, "What have you done to Sarah?"

The red fox tilted his head to the side before he laughed, "Slow down with all the questions!" His own glance trying to getting a better look at the vixen as soon as he heard the name, "I know you may be very scared and lost at the moment. But I am here help you as you are here to help me. First off, I am Doctor Fox. Second, I am not holding you at all. It is merely for your own safety and mine." Doctor Fox moving over to one of the benches where he would pick up an empty syringe with a matching test tube. "Third, she is fine. I knocked her out with the same drug I used on you. She should wake up any moment now."

"Well thank you for keeping us safe. I would like to be released now and we'll be on our way." Azure being a little concerned about the intentions of this red fox.

"Sure. I'll release you. After I am done with my experiment."

"What? What experiment?"

"With your little freedom fighters storming in and ruining it all. My plan to capture Sonic didn't go as Robotnik would like." Doctor Fox would move over to Sarah where he would inject a needle into her left arm. "But now that I have found you and her. I can try a different approach."

Azure struggling to look around before he appeared shocked, "What are you doing to her?"

"Taking a sample of her blood." The red fox would finish filling up the test tube and withdraw from Sarah before he would move next to Azure, "Your turn." As much as he would struggle, Doctor Fox would simply state as he prepared the next test tube, "Its no use. It'll only hurt more if you keep on struggling. Just sit still."

"Ngggh!" Azure grunted before he would cease with a sigh. Unable to move as his arm was pierced by the needle. "Why are you doing this?" He inquired helplessly.

"Ahh! The infamous 'why?' I'll be sure to answer your question when I am ready. But now is not the time." The red fox then withdraw the needle from Azure before pocketing the two blood-filled test tubes in his lab coat. "This place isn't safe forever. I only managed to stumble upon it while dropping off Robotnik's radar here and there. He will eventually find me and there is no time to waste. I will get my revenge though! Yes. Yes I will."

Azure not sure what this fox was going on about. He thought he seemed a little too eccentric, "You've lost me."

"Oh my apologies. Let me reintroduce myself. I am Doctor Fox. I've been working with Robotnik on a cloning project." The red fox noticing Azure's suspicious expression towards him, "Why would I work for such a heartless person you may ask?" He paused with a sigh before continuing, "He has my daughter. Fiona. Holding her as a hostage unless I complete the project for him. Promising her, and my freedom in exchange."

"I don't think he would live up to his end of the bargain regardless." Added Azure before he turned around to see Sarah was beginning to awake from her drug induced slumber.

Doctor Fox proceeded with giving his little induction speech as he stood in front of the two foxes, "I was quite well aware. In fact I believe my daughter as I knew her probably doesn't even exist any more. Most likely sent to the robotizier like all the others." Clenching his fist as a hint of anger trembled through his voice, "He had the nerve to attempt to deceive me by sending in an android replica of her to fool me into believing she was in good care. I instantly knew she was not my daughter but I never let on. That made Robotnik less suspicious of my motives so I could prepare my plan for revenge!"

Sarah a little disorientated as Doctor Fox carried on. Feeling Azure was behind her, she whispered half-awake, "Azure? Wh-what is going on?"

"I had fooled that idiot Robotnik! How ever I think that charade is all but over." Doctor Fox continued to ramble on as he began to untie the two subjects, "You see. I promised him Sonic. I failed to deliver. It would of have been great if I did capture him."

"I'm not quite sure myself." Azure whispered back in reply to Sarah while the doctor was still talking. Then a spark of concern hit him as he stopped the doctor mid-speech, "You wanted Robotnik to capture Sonic? Are you insane?"

"No. Quite the opposite! My clones is what will give me strength." Doctor Fox finished untying Azure and Sarah from the chairs they sat on and the two immediately stood up. "They will ALL soon turn on that machine-loving fool and he'll never suspect a thing. I promised him a false fail-safe. In return, his over confidence will catch him off guard."

"That actually sounds like a pretty good plan." Azure stated as he went to support Sarah as she was still a little drowsy, "How many clones have you created so far for your rebellion?"

"Robotnik only knows about five of them. In truth. I have really created six."

"Only six? Again. Are you insane?!"

"You love labelling me that don't you? You'll see how great my plan is once you see it in action. The five known clones are really failures on purpose. How ever the sixth one was kept secret from Robotnik. Another is also still in progress." Doctor Fox paused to give a smirk before he sensualized his words, "It will be some thing to be very proud of. The marking of the rebirth of freedom."

Azure wasn't too keen on the stranger who obtained his blood and was now promising freedom, yet he went along with it, "So where is this secret clone of yours?"

"Come with me." Doctor Fox gestured to them both to follow, "You'll probably see him in Robotropolis central by now."

Snively walked slowly through the dark corridors of the unused section of Robotropolis. Unused and rusted jail cells lined the walls on either side. Whimpering cowardly as he walked down the middle of them. His echoing foot steps only adding more to his fears. Then suddenly a hand slammed against one of the bars and sacred Snively enough to scream out until the voice behind the hand spoke out, "Quiet you imbecile! Help me get out of this cell already!"

"I came as quick as I could." Snively jittering as he went to reach for the release mechanism, "I had no idea what he was until I was told. The pursuit of the freedom fighters was a big distraction."

"Turn on the lights already Snively. I can't see!"

Snively opened up the jail cell before moving over to the wall to connect the power grid to the lights, "I just have to. OW! Find it." The lights buzzed and hummed before flickering on. A large, round figure over shadowed him as the freed prisoner came into clear view. It didn't scared Snively, rather the presence of this person made him smile as he welcomed him, "It is glad to have you back sire."

The figure that could only belong to Doctor Robotnik shifted his view over to the exit of the disused holding area, "Now Snively. Lets go take care of that clone and reclaim my rightful place over Robotropolis once again!"

On the outskirts of Robotropolis where the tree lining of the forest began. Sonic came to a halt as he placed Tails on the ground and shook the oil off himself. He was looking back to the polluted city before glancing back to Tails with a concerned look, "Sally and Bunnie were meant to meet us here."

Tails spoke with a sad expression, "But Sonic. I saw the SWAT bots kill Aunt Sally! Right in right of me." Little tears streaking down his cheeks as he dropped his glance, "She just melted."

"Tails! She's not dead."

"But I saw!"

"No way little bro. That person you saw wasn't the real Sal."

"But I saw her Sonic. She was real. I swear!"

Suddenly Sally popped out from behind some bushes and tapped Sonic on the shoulder, "I'm here." With both the guys turning around, Tails' immediate reaction was to yelled out in surprise and in fear before he hid behind Sonic. Having him separate Tails from her, "Oh. This is going to take a while to explain to him." Sighed Sally.

"Tails' therapy sessions can wait Sal. What about Bunnie?"

"She was suppose to meet us back here."

"My bet is some thing happened to her and she maybe in trouble back at Robotropolis! I'm going back. Sal, you take Tails back to Knothole."

"What?! Sonic, don't leave me with her!" Tails protested.

"Don't worry little bro. She'll take care of you."

"She's not the real Sally! Just like last time. She's the fake!" Tails shouted one more time before he jumped into the air and took flight. Most likely heading back to Knothole on his own.

Sally standing there still a little shocked at Tails' reaction to her and she shook her head, "I don't blame him. Poor Tails has been through a lot. I better get back to Knothole and wait for him there."

"Just make sure to give him a bath. That oil muck is yuck!"

Sally laughed for a moment before she insisted, "Sonic. Find Bunnie." She paused to move over to kiss Sonic on the lips, "And good luck."

A smile appeared on Sonic before he sped off with his usual catch phrase, "Later Sal. Time to juice and jam!"

An enraged Doctor Robotnik sat in the middle of the Robotropolis control room. A chime from one of the monitors would alert him of a communication from one of the SWAT bot patrols. Pressing a button on his ego-inspired, command chair to open the channel to see what more could go wrong.

"Master Robotnik." The SWAT bot squad leader would report in a monotone voice, "We have captured a freedom fighter. The one we have captured claims to be Bunnie Rabbit. What shall we do with her?"

An evil smirk appeared on the robotic tyrant as he replied with pleasure, "Send her to the robotizier immediately!"

The smirk was soon wiped clean off Robotnik's face when three foxes stormed into the control room through the unguarded service passage way. Doctor Fox pointed a finger at Robotnik before shouting with clenched teeth, "Your end has come!"

"What?!" Replied the stunned dictator, "You have some nerve Fox. Guards! Seize the intruders!"

"Not so fast." Came a voice from the main entrance to the Robotropolis head quarters, "You don't belong in that chair. It is YOU who is the intruder!" The second Robotnik walked in with Snively by his side.

It was quite an awkward moment. There were two Robotniks opposed to each other. The one sitting down didn't know where to look before he shouted, "What is going on? Snively! What is the meaning of this?!"

Snively replied, "You are not who you say you are! Fox told me every thing and what you have done! You won't get away with imprisoning the real Julian and ruler of Robotropolis!" Trying to sound big to the one who he believed to be the real Robotnik before two SWAT bots ran into the fray.

"Guards. Seize that impostor!" One Robotnik shouted and the SWAT bots started moving towards the Robotnik that was standing beside Snively.

"No. He is the impostor! Seize him!" Shouted the other and the SWAT bots turned on a dime to run back towards the Robotnik that was sitting down.

"What?! How dare you!"

"How dare I? How dare you!"

"Guards shoot him! This has gone long enough!" One of the two SWAT bots raised its arm and shot a trio of spikes as ordered.

The other Robotnik grunted as a spike impaled his shoulder and a trickle of blood leaked out, "I agree! There is only one way to end this." Growled the other Robotnik before using his wrist communication device to shout a message across all Robotropolis, "All SWAT bots. Shut down immediately. All SWAT bots. Shut down immediately. Compromise of voice activation in effect. This is not a drill. All SWAT bots. Shut down!"

Robotnik sitting in his chair watched in horror as all his beloved SWAT bots deactivated every where he looked on his surveillance monitors, "You little. This can't be!" He sat up from his command chair before he was stopped by Snively who wielded a laser pistol straight at him, "Snively. It's me. Your uncle."

"My uncle was never this pathetic." Snively coldly stated before waving his gun for him to move along to the detention centre, "You'll be locked up until the real Julian will decide what to do with you."

Robotnik narrowing his eyes at the red fox, "Fox! You are going to pay dearly for this deception!" Before he was shepherded off by Snively at gun point.

Azure and Sarah were speechless and shocked through out the whole thing. Once it was just them, Doctor Fox and the other Robotnik standing in the room, Azure inquired, "I take it he's the clone?"

"Very perceptive of you." Doctor Fox noted with a smirk.

"He looks very real." Added Sarah.

Azure slowly walked up to one who he saw as the evil dictator ever since he was born. In his earlier childhood, Robotnik was the thing of nightmares to the little ones. But as Azure inspected the clone, he didn't sense the evil taint that would be found from the real deal. The clone however still simulated real emotions and frowned as Azure got close to him, "What?"

"You're not so scary." Replied Azure.

"Do I look like some sort of freak show to you or what?"

Azure nodded with a smirk, "Yes."

Bunnie jumped off a ledge as lasers streamed in from behind her. Not bothering to sneak around as the entire Robotropolis was alerted to her presence and running was the only option. Pounding step after step with her synthetic legs, she was determined to get away and not let the others down by being captured. But it all came to an end when she ran around a corner and was knocked out by a metallic arm to the head.

Once Bunnie came to, she found herself surrounded by heavily armed SWAT bots. Groaning as she was immediately interrogated by the squad leader of the group, "What is your name, intruder?" Asked the robot in their trade mark monotone voice.

As soon as Bunnie had a grasp of what was going on, she stared defiantly at the machine before bitterly replying, "You can tell Robotnik, Bunnie Rabbit says go to hell!" She appeared to be even more angry as she stood up, but was restrained by one SWAT bot who had wrapped its arms around her waist.

The squad leader of the SWAT patrol chimed in his communication device to report to its master before he would point at Bunnie. "Take the intruder to the robotizier." Passing on the command of its master to the others.

Bunnie's eyes went wide as she heard that. She did not want to just be another mechanical drone for Robotnik. Wasn't her legs and arm enough? She soon raised her legs before she would forcefully kick the robot that stood opposite from the one holding her. The kick would send the SWAT bot flying into the wall before the other would raise their arms in preparation to fire.

Closing her eyes shut, Bunnie was embracing for the edible impact of intense heat. But nothing happened. She opened her eyes and there was all the SWAT bots still pointing their arms at her. Yet they stood motionless. They were all frozen on the spot. Even the one holding her wouldn't budge as she wriggled out from its grasp.

A moment later, Sonic would blaze onto the scene before he would stop on the spot in front of the one who he came here for. "Bunnie! Are you okay?"

Smiling at seeing a friendly face, Bunnie replied, "Oh sugar. You know me. I can handle myself. But it's strange, all the SWAT bots stopped moving!"

"Yeah. It's weirding me out. On the way I saw tons of the tin cans every where. They were like statues. Not one moved at all."

"It is like the entire Robotropolis SWAT bot network just shut down!"

"Well, what ever is going on. I have a good feeling we'll know more if we go check out Robotnik's headquarters."

As Azure was busy being fascinated with the life like clone, Doctor Fox would turn towards Sarah before engaging her in a conversation, "I heard your name is Sarah. I assume you are Sarah Prower. Am I correct?"

Sarah giving a suspicious glance back before she would answer him, "Yes. Why do you ask?"

"Lets just say I am a friend of the Prower family. I've heard a lot about you."

"Oh?"

"But I'm curious to know who your companion is? The one over there with my clone. What is his name?"

"He is called Azure. He is also a Prower."

A confused expression would be placed upon Fox's face before he hesitated to ask, "A Prower hmm? What relation is he to you?"

"A distant relative of mine. That's what he told me. We actually ran into each other by chance. In the woods last night as Robotnik's army." She paused with a tear, "Robotnik's army slaughtered my village and I barely escaped with my life. If it wasn't for Azure..." She trailed off until mute after reflecting back on the situation for the first time.

"I'm sorry to hear that about your village. A true shame and pointless act by Robotnik." Keeping silent to the fact that it was him who advised the attack to his own means. "But my dear little Sarah. I have pressing matters I wish to briefly discuss with you."

"What matters?" Sarah appearing a little confused to what Fox was getting at.

"As knowing your family name well. I know of a place where your family history was stored as a record within a hidden bunker." Doctor Fox would move over to write some thing down on a piece of paper before sealing it up in an envelope. Walking back over to Sarah, he would hand her the envelope as he continued to speak, "Now what I am about to tell you is important. Don't open this envelope until you are at the records terminal. You will not believe what I have to say unless you are there."

"What do you mean? I don't understand."

"Your companion is not who he says he is. He is not to be trusted."

"But Azure is-"

Doctor Fox would cut her off, "I urge you to listen. To go and see for yourself. I can provide hover transport so you can leave immediately. Just trust me on this if you want to learn the truth."

Sarah didn't know what to think. Should she trust the one who saved her life or the one that claimed to know her? She had been lost and confused since the attack on her village. Only Azure made sure to ease her emotional pain. Now that feeling of loss and confusion returned as she looked back into the eyes of the older fox, "I can't leave him." She softly protested.

"Sarah. You have a twin brother. You'll have to see for yourself to understand. Go now if you wish to know more. That is all the information I can give you."

Azure had eventually lost interest in the highly detailed, life-like clone before he turned back to face a lone Doctor Fox. Azure would then immediately glance left and right around the room for any traces of Sarah. Then focusing back on Fox, he would frown as he called out in concern, "Where's Sarah? Where did she go?"

"She is on her way to find out the truth. It would be good for her to find out that she actually has a twin brother rather than a distant relative. Wouldn't you say, Tails?"

Azure would narrow his eyes before he would angrily shout, "What have you done with her?!"

"Aren't you the least bit curious to know how I know who you really are?"

"I am. But I would rather know that Sarah is safe first."

Doctor Fox sighed as he ordered the Robotnik clone to enter a few commands into the console below where all the surveillance monitors were. A couple seconds later it would show Sarah boarding one of the hover transports outside in the streets of Robotropolis before it would take off shortly afterwards to its pre-set destination. Flying through the smog until it vanished from sight.

"She's safe. Are you happy?" Fox asked with irritation in his voice before he would inquire, "Would you like to take a walk with me now? I'd like to have a little talk before we reach the cloning vats back at my laboratory."

"Where is she going?"

"Oh shut up about your twin sister and just follow me for Mobius sake. This is more important." Fox would gesture for Azure to follow as he would stand at the door way that would lead to his main experimentation area. "I think you'll be very interested to what I have to show you."

The morning sun would rise over Knothole. Sally had just returned to the sanctuary of their peaceful village before glancing over at Tails' hut, wondering if he was back already. She would slowly open the door to his room and peer inside. She didn't see him at first, but then she noticed a black patch of fur sticking out from under the bed. It seems he was hiding from her.

Opening the door fully before stepping inside, Sally would place her paws on her hips as she would announce a little fed up, "Okay. This has to stop now, Tails." She would bend over to confront Tails under the bed, "It is really me this time. Will you please come out from under there?"

Tails defiantly shook his head, "No!" Before hesitantly adding, "How do I know any of you are the real Sally?"

"Well, Tails. How can I prove to you that I am when you won't even give me a chance?"

"I'm staying here until Sonic gets back!"

"Alright. Fine. Be that way." Sally would reply in a huff, "But you're having a shower first mister! You've dirtied your bedroom with oil marks all over the place." She then knelt down before grabbing Tails' oil slick body around the waist and began to pull him out.

"No! Let me go!" Tails would protest as Sally would carry him flailing into the bathroom before she would plop him down on the shower floor. As she would turn on the water, the shower head would spray directly onto his head and began washing away the oil from his fur. He however sat there in silence, arms crossed with an unimpressed expression on his face as water ran down his entire body.

"Oh stop your sulking." Sally would say as she would rub her paws through his fur to help removing the sludge that discoloured his fur. Slowly draining away the oil and restoring the natural colour of his body. Turning off the water, she would dry him off with one of his towels after helping out of the shower, "There. That wasn't so bad was it? You look like the Tails I remember." She giggled trying to lighten up the mood. "Please open up sweety. Let's pretend for now that what I am saying is true. What did that other me do to you to make you so afraid of me?"

"She." Tails paused a little embarrassed before continuing, "She placed her mouth over my thing while I was sleeping." He walked over to his bed and sat there with Sally after pointing to his member not know what to call it, "She was sucking up and down it."

Sally feeling a little uncomfortable now after hearing these new versions of her were being used as sex toys, "Oh." She paused before repeating, "Oh my." After getting over the initial shock, she asked a bit curious, "And did you like it?

"Now Tails. I would like to point out that's one thing your real Aunt Sally could never do." Sally tried to make Tails understand with out revealing too much about sex. Yet the confused look she got in return gave the indication of her explanation being counter-productive to her goal.

"Aunt Sally..." Tails trailed off in a moan. Lost in building pleasure as Sally's rubbing would soon turn to stroking up and down along his growing erection.

Once Tails' shaft was hard after Sally's continued strokes over his length. She would soon cease before would lay back on the bed for him. Eventually Doctor Fox would take off the white glove off his right hand to reveal it was robotizied, "Every time I failed Robotnik's expectations. I would lose a limb to the machine."

Azure appearing a bit shocked as he waved the metallic hand in front of him, "Geesh. Talking about having an evil boss to work with. But then again. It's Robotnik." His two tails flicking behind him as he strolled with the scientist, "So if you got your arm robotizied. What happened to your colleague?"

Doctor Fox would shake his head, appearing a little sad before he spoke, "The poor soul. After a suspicious accident. He almost had his entire body done away with. Then to add to the insult. Robotnik threw him into the zone of silence."

Azure blinked for a moment before inquiring, "You mean, the void?"

"Yes the void. He was sent there after almost stopping Robotnik by turning his own robots against him. This was when King Acorn was still in control. It failed of course, but he would be proud of what I had accomplished today."

Azure listening to his ramblings before some thing sparked his interest, "Wait. What?" He paused before he appeared concerned, "What was the name of your research partner?"

"He was well known as Commander tee-ay-one-seven-five. Commended for his robotic designs and knowledge of physics."

"Commander T-A-1-7-5?!"

"Yes. But I was lucky enough to know him personally. His real name was Tails Junior Prower. Sound familiar?"

Azure's jaw dropped as he stopped in his tracks and stared back at Doctor Fox, "Are you serious? You knew him?"

"Yes. Gathering by your reaction, you must of known him as well. Very well. Which means his crazy ramblings were true! He did create a time machine! You ARE from the future!"

Azure didn't know what to say or how to respond. It was like he was being studied like a book and his past was for every one to read. It suddenly made him suspicious about this fox, "Alright. It is true. I am from the future. But-"

Doctor Fox would cut him off, "No need to explain yourself nor wonder how I knew. You see, I saw the records of your son and your family history. He kept his log updated until he was thrown into the zone of silence." He paused before smiling, "Of course this was all before you were born. No one else had access to the records until today. Seeing two foxes with the trademark dual tails. Seeing your sister with you in the cell. It was all too obvious. There is no other explanation."

Azure starting walking off with the scientist again, "Well, now that you know about me. Now I have a very important question to ask you. What happened to him?"

"Who? Your son? He was released from the void already."

"Is he still alive?"

Doctor Fox shook his head as he arrived to the cloning lab, "No." Before he would open the doors and step inside, "The original Tails Junior is quite dead."

"The original?" Azure asked, unsure what Doctor Fox meant.

The red fox would move towards one of the cloning vats. Placing two blood-filled test tubes into the sockets before they were immediately drained. A moment later he would announce with a joyful shout, "Yes! It is finished!" As he would tap away at the control console to a pod. Slowly the pod would open up with white mist filling the room once again, "I hope you'll be quite proud of what I have done, Mister Miles Tails Prower. Welcome back to the world, the new war general for the recently reclaimed Mobotropolis!"

Azure was waving away the steam and coughing as the red fox spoke. As soon as his vision cleared, an adult, orange fox was sitting up and glancing back at him. The orange fox would look at the red one before smiling, "Hello old friend." Then focusing back on Azure, "Hello father. It is good to see you again."

Azure was in shock once again, he simply shook his head in disbelief, "Tails Junior?" Continuing to shake his head before shouting, "No. NO. NO!" Backing away to the exit while glaring at Doctor Fox, "Do you know what he is capable of? What I have come back to correct?!"

Doctor Fox was astonished at the response he received, "Now Tails. I will admit that he was a little messed up when he lost his organic form to the abomination that Robotnik made him into. But he is different now. His brilliant mind will serve to improve the new Mobotropolis as a whole. Only good can come out of this." He went over to Tails Junior to hand him a box that belonged to the original one, "I promised to save him and now I have kept my promise by cloning him as his organic form with his memories in tact. Freedom of will, Freedom of thought, he is probably the son you might of loved if you had of given him the chance."

Azure shouted, "I destroyed his base of operations out at sea for a reason!"

"Hmph! I'll have you know that's my base of operations for my genetic projects as well. I lost years of research there. You almost killed me in the process too! I barely escaped with my life."

"Maybe I should of finished the job. Then you wouldn't of brought this nightmare back to life! All he wants is revenge on me and Sarah. He has already killed Sarah once. Thanks to you, he has another chance at that."

Suddenly the adult Tails Junior would speak out, "That's not true!" Gritting his teeth before shaking in anger, "I would never hurt you on purpose father. Or mother. Not out of my own choice."

Azure was absolutely surprised by the response he received from the one who had hated all this time, "Y-you don't?"

"Of course not. You are not to blame for my problems." Seemingly enraged, Tails Junior would shout as he would point over to some where, "It's them! The Mobians. The Freedom Fighters. Every one else. They are the ones who are responsible for me being outcast. Not once, but twice! They are also the ones who indirectly made you suffer, father." He paused before closing his eyes, "Now, I will get revenge. Not on you. But on every one else. Make them suffer in the present for our suffering in the past and future!"

"N-no. This won't solve any thing!"

"Oh yes it will!" He opened the box before pulling out a wrist device and attaching it to his right arm, "And I'm starting with that hedgehog. Sonic the hedgehog."

"I won't let you! They are our friends!"

Doctor Fox stepping in, "Calm down please. No one has to get hurt."

"You are the exception my friend. But if either of you stand in my way. I might regret my following actions. I must do this." Stated Tails Junior as he would hop out of the containment pod before running towards the door. Azure was quick to use himself to block the way out but was quickly shoved aside with a growl from his son, "Out of my way!"

Once Tails Junior had disappeared from sight, Doctor Fox ran over to Azure who was lying on the floor. As he would help him back up, he would apologise sincerely, "I'm so very sorry. I didn't know he would react this way. He seems full of hatred. This wasn't suppose to happen."

Azure responded with an irritated tone, "We have to stop him. Now!"

"No! He is too strong. But you probably already know that since you're from the future."

"Actually, I changed the future after destroying your sea labs. This is all new to me at the moment."

"Then you must not endanger yourself. Go and seek out your sister. You'll probably be needed to keep her safe again."

"Tell me where to find her."

"She is at the secret bunker, on an island adjacent to the ruins of the sea labs." Doctor Fox would hand Azure a data pad so he could use it to guide his way there, "Connect this to one of the navigation systems in one of Robotnik's hover crafts. The autopilot should take you there with out any problems. Go now."

Azure nodded before he took off towards the direction where the hangar bays would be located. The red fox on the other hand would make his way back towards the headquarters of Robotropolis to try and locate where his renegade friend had gone. As Azure was running towards a hovercraft, he slapped his forehead, "The hidden bunker is the space yacht!"

Sonic and Bunnie had just arrived in the chamber of Robotnik's throne: Robotropolis headquarters. Both of them looking around for clues to what on Mobius was going on. As both of them were still puzzled to why every system in Robotropolis was dead with one exception. Only the surveillance monitors were still online along with the lighting, but every thing else seemed to have completely shut down.

"Man. This is whacked." Noted Sonic he continued to inspect the entire room before tapping his foot with arms crossed, "I don't like this one bit."

"Well Sugar." Bunnie laughed, "At least we don't have an army of SWAT bots after us."

"Who's that?" Sonic squinted as he saw some one appear from out of the darkness.

The figure of Robotnik would be clear to see. Frowning at his arch-nemesis, "Oh it's you."

Sonic couldn't resist the chance to mock the fallen dictator, "Having a little trouble keeping your robots oiled up Robotnik?"

"What ever you are looking for. Just get on with it and be gone. I won't stop you."

It seemed very out of character for Robotnik to respond like this, Bunnie was already suspicious as she whispered to Sonic, "I bet it's a trap."

Suddenly a bolt of lightning narrowly missed Sonic. Dodging another as it struck the spot where he leapt from only a moment ago. Rolling to the side and rebounding off a wall. Catching a glimpse at what ever was shooting at him as he landed before sprinting towards their attacker.

An orange, two-tailed fox ran into the room with his right arm levelled. The device attached to his wrist was a highly-charged, energy weapon. In his rage, he would pull the trigger multiple times with Sonic as his target. Sonic able to avoid every shot with his speed and dodged the debris as glass monitors would explode violently.

Bunnie getting closer to their attacker before she was stunned as she called out, "Tails? Is that you?"

The orange fox turned to face Bunnie before he would fire another lightning bolt directly at her. Sonic rushing to her defence, jumped in front of her and took the full force of the bolt. He would then fall limp to the ground as he would yell out in pain as an electrical charge surged through out his body.

Tails Junior walking slowly up to the downed hedgehog, pointing his weapon straight at him once he was standing over his body. With an insanely evil smirk on his face, he would shout in front of a horrified Bunnie, "Now you die Sonic!"
