Once I made up my mind I quickly covered my track but left very subtle clues. Either way I knew that she's going to do everything she can to prove me wrong. Considering that's what I'm hoping for, that's sorta why I've been pushing her so hard. For the next two days that pass I put triple the distance between myself and Luna. That night I found a nice spot to rest before continuing towards the northern mountains.

As the hours ticked by and I'm pretty sure Luna is boiling mad at me right now. Of course I couldn't hide my grin as I reached the base of the northern mountains. "You know maybe I should throw her a curve by doubling back the same way. Granted there's a chance I'll run into her along the way but, it'll certainly throw her off." I said to myself. Though I quickly calculated the odds at 60/40 at but, left myself plenty of room.

Roughly halfway back I picked up on her scent about fifteen miles ahead. I decided to loop around once her scent grew stronger the closer she got to me. From there I'd make a straight shot for our den though I'll make random stops also. Though I was curious as to why Luna was upwind unless she's doing this deliberately. Even though being upwind can grant you some advantages especially when hunting for food.

After covering another eight miles her scent grew stronger the closer she got. It was time that I found an alternate route in the hopes she notices the sudden change. I decided to allow her within two miles of my present position though it'd be interesting. If whether or not she takes advantage of this helping hand that I'm willingly providing. The second I heard her approaching I swiftly found a place to conceal myself.

Hopping into a nearby pine tree then climbed high enough to avoid being seen. Luckily I didn't have to wait long as she walked slowly underneath me. She was clearly tracking me by the faint scents I left behind for her to follow. Strange she didn't pick up on my presense since women are far more aware than men. That's when it dawned on me she hasn't come into heat perhaps that's the reason why.

As the sun began setting on night one of her hunt she located a place to sleep. While continued on my way back to the den where I'd rest for tonight at least. From there I'd head back out early the following morning to continue outrun her. The next eleven days consisted of many close calls and she's shown a great deal of improvement. Luckily she understood that my job was to make things as hard as I could for her.

So she'd have to push herself past her limits and prove her worth to me. On the afternoon of day thirteen I decided that it was time that I threw Luna a bone. Taking a few minutes to locate her scent then I took my time tracking her down. About an hour later I found her taking a nice drink from the pond across the way. When I went to show myself to her she had curled up into a ball then proceeded to take a nap.

Quietly sneaking around the pond to the other side and slowly walked over to her. "Well, hello there beautiful lady so do you come here often?" I asked smiling. Luna didn't bother to lift her head to look at me as she continued sleeping. Seeing as I was getting the brush off I decided to change tactics to get her all riled up. The pond was only a few feet away it gave me all the inspiration I needed to get Luna's fur ruffled.

I dove in, swam around for a few minutes to make sure I was soaked thoroughly. From there I crawled up to her then grabbed her tail and proceeded to tug. "What are you doi/" She went to say before I quickly spit water all over her face. Next I wisely took off on foot running towards the woods while Luna wisely gave chase. When I looked over my shoulder sure enough she was trailing right behind me.

It was about time to finish this so I jumped into the trees and traveled that way. While Luna followed close behind me on the ground that's when I made a mistake. As I went to jump into another tree I miss judged the actual distance between them. So instead of landing in the next tree I wound up landed on the ground with a loud crash. Sadly I precious little time to even recover as Luna charged towards me at full speed.

The next mistake I made is when I took a moment to see how far away Luna was. Quickly jumping onto my feet I took off running without looking in front of me. At times I'm extremely grateful for my rather unique metal skeleton as I ran into a redwood. I bounced off the trunk with a heavy bang then dropped to the floor with a thud. Next about half the trees acorns and a couple of branches fell on top of my head.

As I unearthed myself from my little mound Luna pinned me against the tree. "It appears that this little game of your is officially over, Zero." Luna stated smugly. Now she would've been correct if there wasn't one last test she needed to undergo. I told her straight out that her next test was to beat me in a no holds barred fight. Though I was proud of her that she passed the hunting and tracking part of her test.

"Zero, you're a lot stronger than I am so you'll have the advantage over me. I'll get my cute little ass handed to me with very little effort." She pointed out sourly. "Knock that off right now Luna why do you think I've been pushing you so hard. You're so much stronger than you even realize and this fight will prove just think positive." I replied. Luna's head flinched back after hearing my honest remark in regards to her true potential.

From there I convinced her to head home and ask her how she faired hunting. "I'll be honest it was a pain catching small prey but, it felt wrong to kill for food. After a few days I realized that this world works differently than where we came from. Once I made peace with my new home hunting actually became a cinch for me." She informed. All I said was now that she knows the law of the land things will become much easier.

"There's one thing I still don't know, Zero are we husband and wife or not?" She asked. As I looked over my shoulder at her then I told her to ask me that after or fight. Considering when it's all said and done she'll already know the answer to her question. Luna, looked at me funny but, I knew she'd discover the answer eventually. Granted it was the kind of answer that could be given or taught it's just a gut feeling.

Once back home I cooked us a nice large hardy meal then turned in early. As we slept soundly on our beds mother nature decided to give the ground soaking. So naturally when I got up the next morning and checked the ground it was saturated. This would certainly be a game changer for our fight all the more interesting for us. I still had not choice but, to push her to her breaking point to bring out her full potential.

If she couldn't put me in my place than she isn't worthy being my alpha female. I decided to wait until noontime giving the sun time to dry the ground enough. From there we walked around to find a secluded spot where we could fight unrestrained. This was going to be rough not only on her but, myself included and it kept me awake. Luckily I was able to keep Luna from picking up on it since that gave her an edge.

Once we found a location suitable for our needs I advise Luna to stretch out. "Alright, Luna when you're ready I'm going to lay out some simple ground rules. Rule 1: Don't kill your opponent. Rule 2: No, cheap shots especially in sensitive areas. Rule 3: To defeat your opponent is to pin their whole body for a total of five seconds. Finally Rule 4: There's a time limit of one hour. Good luck, Luna." I informed.

With everything agreed on I grabbed a rock then tossed it high into the air. The second it hit the ground our fight began I struck first going right for her throat. Luna was quick to avoid my fangs as they snapped shut but, I followed up with a kick. This time around my attack glanced along her back knocking Luna off center for a brief moment. She wasted little time returning the favor with everything she had learned over the weeks.

All that could be heard for three miles was the sound of metal clashing together. Whatever injuries we caused healed fast because of the robocells in our blood. Oddly enough this fight would boil down to battle of who could endure the longest. Sadly like I knew earlier the lack of sleep would begin to work against me at some point. Luna noticed that I was showing signs of fatigue but, knew I'd make her work for it.

Not wanting to drag this fight out any longer I decided to go for the victory. That's when I made my first and only mistake as I went to pounce I just lost my footing. The instant I hit ground Luna quickly rushed in then pinned me firmly on the ground. Next she applied her jaws around my throat keeping me in place for ten seconds. "Luna, I concede to you my dear this contest is over now claim your prize." I admitted.

Upon hearing my surrender Luna stood up then willingly helped me to my feet. "Zero, I don't have to claim my prize considering I just earned him all on my own. There's one thing I would like cleared up though and you're going to answer me mister." She stated. The look I gave her was all the information she needed to answer the question. "Whoa, Hold It! Are you saying that the fight we just had was our wedding?" She asked.

"Luna think for a second in a traditional wolf pack the alpha female is in charge. While the Alpha male is merely keeper of the peace when his life mate is away. Everything you've gone through recently was a test to see if you're alpha material. I won't blame you if you're mad at me but, I hope do you understand my reasons." I stated. Naturally she scowled at me before walking over and hooking her arms around my neck.

Giving her a deep kiss then I scooped her into my arms and carried her home. Carrying her through the entrance of our den then I placed her onto my bed. Instead of indulging in acts of intimacy our stomachs decided to change our plans. With a chuckle I walked over to where I kept our food stores then cooked dinner. Once it was cooked to our individual likings we ate in peace then called it an early night.

As winter closed in Luna assisted me in gathering all the food we needed. This helped us grow closer as we hunted, played, learned together and finally mated. Winter was a bit rough on us but, we found a way to survive without much trouble. When spring was in full swing, Luna informed me that she was going into heat. Later that night we shared our first time of pure and unbridled intimacy together.

After about five months of uncertainty Luna gave birth to four very healthy pups. During the entire pregnancy we're very worried that our children would be human. Luckily as they grew older we learned they were just like our present forms after all. In the weeks to follow our lives were pretty hectic caring for four hungry wolf pups. Once they're old enough our pack would be whole and wouldn't survive without every member.
