Hello Wizards and Witches alike...
I'm here to tell you about Wizard101... A kid friendly magical game where wizards and witches team up to battle strange and weird monsters. I have 6 wizards, 2 of which are life, 1 fire, 1 death, 1 balance and the other Myth... Most of them are all the same level, Spent 4 years getting them perfected just the way I wanted and I ran out of quests because I decided to quit the game, even though the level cap is level 90 now. I would log in the game, follow wizards around and help them deal with the bad monsters I had to face again and again. Everything was normal, until 1 day, I got this strange text box from a brand new character telling me I needed to report to Wizard City Commons. She had a weird location as she didn't show up in front of the buildings, but rather, she stay behind the buildings and hide. The Quest helper arrow pointed directly to her. She seemed very natural and normal graphics for the game. I thought it was some new quest thing that Wizard101 just added and didn't really mind it, and because I had all my wizards at the level I wanted and didn't feel it necessary to advance anymore, I didn't really care. But I decided to approach her anyway. Above her character was the name, Samantha Deathheart. As I walked up to her and clicked X to start the natural order of getting a quest with the below text and then the voice of her to tell me where to be... She didn't sound like the actors I usually heard who only changed their voice to sound like different people. Nope, she had a voice all her own, and as she spoke, a few minor glitches to the game occurred. The Quest Arrow flipped left and right then would blank out and come back in, and my health bar would go all the way down to 1 health but then shoot right back up to the standard health I had. I didn't pay it much mind as these technical glitches happen with new things in the game most often anyways. So she asked me to go to the Haunted cave where the big iron gates was sealed tightly to prevent wizards from going through the main door. My first reaction was that I was gonna have to buy this area with crowns, cause I have paid for the game with crowns. If you never played the game, Crowns are Real life money that you can use to buy cool upgrades not given to you in the game naturally. Or you can unlock areas and play them forever.
So as I rode my mount to the Haunted cave past all the low rank monsters, I came up to the iron bar gate and found it still sealed... I saw Samantha standing in front of the gate then she stood and smiled. She said to me. "Ah, you made it, I didn't think you would come. This gate was sealed off by Ambrose in fear that it was to tough of a place to handle for young strong wizards. But I've been reading a special spell book that will let us enter this area." *She said and then waved her wand... She muttered words under her breath as they appeared on the bottom of the screen in spoken text. "AAAAh SHEASKA----MAK --- KEEE --- BECK---TOOO---RAM--US!!!" As she screamed the spell and waved her wand a bright purple bomb bolt shot from her wand and blew the gate open... The metal bars flied everywhere and the hole to the darker cave opened. She ran inside without saying a word. As I approached the door she called out to my wizard, but no text box appeared and my character still was able to move as she talked to me. "Come on silly! It's fun, lets go!" The wizard showed himself walking up to the door, and when it showed the screen with the fire wizard and the ice wizard to load the next room, the 2 wizards on the screen had no faces. Their heads was completely blank, the rest of the image was normal. After the loading page turned and the room was starting to show, there was wraiths roaming the streets, It was raining, which I found odd cause Wizard101 only let it rain in the brief intro of the game of Ambrose and Malistare. But in this darker cave, it was just lightly sprinkling. What was even more interesting was that my character showed rain drops on his clothing as if the rain animation for the game was much improved graphics. My Quest helper arrow was black now with red outline and dark green text showing the distance of my quest, instead of the natural yellow with black outline and black text. My health bar was bubbling green instead of the natural red. And my magic bar wasn't blue, it was dark purple, My pet power dropped to zero, but I didn't care about that. I never cared for the pet raising thing anyway. Although I had to admit that it was strange that I had full pet energy before I entered the area. I also noticed that my wizard didn't have a face anymore... In fact, all the dark creatures roaming the streets didn't have faces...
This made me feel a little bit weird, the only one who did have a face was Samantha Deathheart. Samantha ran ahead in front of me as if she was a playable character, instead of just vanishing and appearing somewhere else like all the other non playing characters. She was much different, As she stopped, she stopped next to some floating ghosts and some roaming vampires flapping their wings in a slow circle.. She held up her finger and pointed to the vampires and ghosts. "We gotta kill them, I need a sample of their blood in order to make a special potion. So I did what would normally happen in these situations. I ran up and confronted them in battle, The large battle circle appeared in the middle of the street and the battle began. The timer counter didn't start as she screamed to me to wait and became angry, she ran in the battle too and took the stance of the game wizards. She looked at me and said, I wanna fight too... and no bottom text appeared. As I looked through my cards I selected a blade move and ended my turn. My wizard was my life wizard. Level 74, and because I bought the Halloween outfit, my wizard looked like Spooky Bob with the weird grinning face the game designers gave him. I joked to other wizards in the past as I told them I was the undead life wizard.. Samantha took her turn and casted a blade as well. Our pip counters which was used to explain how big of spells we could cast, based on the number of pips we had wasn't it's natural white and yellow, instead, they was dark brown. They registered as power pips as I could cast a level 4 spell with just 2 pips... My left deck had an off look to it... My natural cards didn't look right, the pictures of the monsters looked old and bony. My Living tree looked like it had died, hundreds of years ago... and again, no face, My seraph was the death form of the seraph and my Centaur was all bony as well... It was the vampires turn, He casted the ghoul, but this ghoul was different. The Ghoul didn't pop out of the ground like in the normal animation for the children. This ghoul dug his way out of the ground and clawed at the ground until he looked at me... Rotting teeth and the sound of bones with rotting flesh creep at me and then, He pulls his shovel out of the ground and bashes at my head... The sound of metal hitting against my bone head, then the loud clunk and the ring of metal upon hitting a hard object... My health bounced back and forth from 1 HP to my standard 3,543 HP. Then it was the wraiths turn. The Wraith casted a spell and used death bats... The animation showed the dark moon, then a whole swarm of angry bats swarmed down. Their angry screeching chirps echoed through my speakers and hurt my ears a little bit. I turned the volume down on the game to accommodate for it. They attacked and bit on my characters bones... As they did, I felt myself behind the keybard start to draw blood... My arms cut with tiny scrapes as if I had just fought with a cat. It was then time to select my next card. I used Centaur now that I had 3 power pips. The Centaur galloped into the area on old dried up leaves then raised up and fired the arrow right into the wraiths chest. But instead of a tree growing up then shattering int splintering wood, death hands rose up, little white clawing hands rose up from the black darkness and started to rip the wraith to shreds... The gory sight of watching the wraith get torn to bits was a little bit frightening. I was exited of the 1 hit kill but didn't think it would resort to that. After my turn ended, Samantha took her turn, but instead of casting a monster, she looked at me... she waved her wand and mumbled words I couldn't understand... as if she was speaking Latten. After the chant, she put me in as her spell card. I went right to the middle of the battle, her dark death blade activated and gave me a bonus attack boost and my character cut up the vampires body with the sword he used as a wand. The Vampire lay bleeding as she walked up and grabbed a vile and took a good bit of blood from the dead vampire corps. As the vampire lay there, the ghosts devoured his very being and the dark hands from my spell slowly crept up from the ground and ate his body. Nothing was left. Both of us run to the sidewalk where the monsters didn't roam. She turns and looks at me then she raises up the vile and drinks the vampire blood. As she does this she gags and falls to the ground heaving. The sounds was unnerving through my computer. She looked up as she didn't have anymore eyes. Her eyes was laying on the ground in front of her... This scared me... I wanted to get away from this quest and get away from this character. I didn't wanna continue in fear of what might happen next. So I tried to click the return to the Commons button. As I brought my mouse over the button, the button darkened and wouldn't let me click it. Taking a deep breath I attempted to push the go home button, but that darkened too.. So I moved my mouse up to the tiny X button in the main window of my computer program. It blinked out of existence. My Final approach was CTRL, Alt Delete... Something everyone knows about.. As I did, the window for closing out programs just showed nothing, No text, no buttons at all. I went down to the start menu bar where the wizard101 was being displayed on the bottom bar and right clicked to close it out there.. It wouldn't let me do it... Finally I got bold. I attempted to turn the computer off, but the power remained on. Desperate now I pulled the plug and pulled the battery in the back of the computer. But the computer refused to turn off as my computer screen glowed in a faint mist... not static. The only image was my character looking at hers with her eyeballs on the ground in front of her, and her hunched over them puking. My wizard walked around and picked up her eyes and popped them into the undead sockets of his eyeless face. My wizard typed the words in the text box.. I can see now, you was using me. Samantha stood up and looked at my wizard with her blank face. The hollow holes showed lifelessness inside of her spirit as she started to wave her wand. Her mumbling chant began again as my wizard darted at her and cut her up. He cut off her face and said... "Now I am wearing a true mask for Halloween." Little bits of blood dripped from the cut off face, and stained his shirt with red drops. I closed my computer and hid it away until morning. I went so far as to leave my computer in our barn until the next morning. After a sleepless night, I woke up and went to go get my computer out of the barn. As I opened the lid and there was no battery, and no power feeding to the computer, the image stayed on my screen, only this time. The wizard was looking straight at me, The camera would turn around like it was suppose to in the game. The wizard just looked at me with Samantha's face. He asked, "Do you like my mask?" I panicked and grabbed my dads sledge hammer. I was determined to make this nightmare end. I raised the hammer then let it fall down and bashed the computer screen all to tiny pieces. I continued to hit the screen till it was so broken that it wouldn't even produce a picture anymore. I thought my nightmare had ended. I vowed I would never play that game again. A few days went by, and I had kinda left the game behind me. Though it haunted me in the back of my brain. My dad was watching TV and was recording the Price is Right, an annoying show I really didn't care for. As we took the show back however, the Price is Right didn't play...instead, it was my wizard character, RIGHT ON THE TV SCREEN!!! But he wasn't wearing Samantha face anymore. It was blank again, no eyes, no mouth, no nose, just a white bone head with a lower jaw... The text appeared and said, "I need a new face, can I have yours?" I turned the TV off as I saw the power go out...then my characters face remained on the screen in a ghost like image and asked again. "Can you give me your face?" I ran to the TV plug and pulled the plug as fast as I could... The screen finally went dark but the text appeared again. "Alright, if you won't give me your face, Then I'll just take it by force." A high pitch yell went through the TV as I reached up and held my ears... I squinted my eyes shut tightly then the high pitch noise stopped. As I uncovered my ears and raised my head up to see if he was still there, I noticed that everything was dark, I didn't have a face anymore... My dad looked at me and then looked at the TV... I looked just like my wizard. My wizard faded out and was gone... shortly after, I died, I couldn't eat, I didn't have a mouth, I couldn't breath, I didn't have a nose, I couldn't see, and the loud screeching noise busted my ears. At my funeral my mother wept for me... My wizard101 account became corrupted and it was deleted by kingsisle for having the added part of the game with Samantha DeathHeart and my mysterious wizard that literally killed me. Just by robbing my face.. I end this letter and urge everyone, If you see the mysterious bone man running around in wizard city, or if you see Samantha Deathheart... DO NOT!! Talk to her.. I write this to you in vein as I am already dead, but strong enough willed to put text into a computer in hopes that you won't encounter my fate.
