Here it is! I'm sorry, I know it's late. But I wanted it to be a nice read. I didn't expect it to take so long, but now you can read it! Yay!

An explosion.

It couldn't have been described in any other way. As the wolf's lips touched thefox's, it was like a rocket had just shot off in the young fox's mind. His negative thoughts were purged in that one kiss; the one kiss that assured him that the two truly belonged. The fox's body felt limp as he leaned into the strong wolf's arms, accepting the love that he offered. Blake opened his eyes slowly once the kiss ended.

"I do like you, Blake," Jordan said quietly as he gave a caring smile.

Blake's body shook, in a good way, as he brought his arms up and tightly clung them around Jordan's neck, pulling him closer. Their foreheads touched and Blake could've sworn that he almost started crying.

"Oh Jordan, I... I-I'm so sorry."

"Sorry for what, bud?"

"That I left you. That I ever had any doubt in my mind that you wanted to be with me. I got so scared when Oliver told me that you were straight and you were just messing with my heart and-"

"Wait, wait, who said that?"

"Oliver, the dragon in my section. He told me that you recently dated some girl and that you were just gonna end up breaking my heart after you've had your fun with me," Blake said quietly as his ears dropped.

Jordan just laughed. "He must've mistaken me for my cousin, Aaron. He just moved here about two months ago. Everyone thinks that we're twins or they mistake one of us for the other." Jordan gave one of Blake's paws a squeeze. "I like you though. I've liked you for a long time just like I told you last night."

Blake just blushed, leaning closer to the wolf again. "Jordan, I don't want to scare you, but... I think I love you."

Jordan just smiled. "Well, I don't think I'm ready to say that just yet, but I do know that I really care about you. I know that you make me happy and I just feel like I should protect you and keep you next to me."

Blake giggled and leaned forward for a quick peck, the wolf returning and then giving a small nuzzle and lick, making the fox blush just as planned.

"Gosh, you're so cute, Blake. I can't believe you were single until I asked you out," Jordan said, giving another nuzzle.

"Oh I am not," Blake said quietly, face still red.

"Yes you are. And you're all mine now." Jordan faked an evil laugh and the fox laughed too.

Blake could only smile as the two leaned in and gave another kiss. For once he felt happy. Nothing could go wrong.

-

The rest of the day flew by so quickly that Blake almost thought the school got dismissed an hour early. He grabbed his things from his gym locker and waited right outside for his now boyfriend. Within two minutes, the wolf came out in his band shirt and a pair of shorts on while holding up a plastic bag with his marching shoes in them.

"Hey, babe. Ready for the game tonight?" The wolf gave a quick kiss on the lips.

Blake smiled and returned the kiss. "Will you be playing tonight? Or do you not know?"

"Don't know. But I'm hoping. Coach has been surprisingly understanding of my wants to be in the stands with the rest of the band though."

Jordan was also on the football team, so since he had to fulfill both roles as a band member and a team player, Coach and Mr. B came to an agreement that he would be switched out every few games. He would always bring his gear just in case he was ever needed. Blake always wondered how he was able to manage all that at once.

"I hope you do. I know you've been itching to get on the field again. But at the same time I want you to be in the stands cuz you stand right in front of me," Blake said with a small laugh.

Jordan smiled and grabbed Blake's paw, holding it as they walked. "We can ask Mr. B. He'll know."

Blake blushed. "H-Holding paws? Already?"

"Is that okay?"

"Yeah, I-I mean... It's not too soon?"

Jordan laughed. "Of course not. Besides, there's a picture of us on the internet now. Figured it didn't matter. Besides, I want to showcase my amazingly cute boyfriend."

The fox's face turned red yet again. "I guess that makes sense."

The wolf squeezed his paw reassuringly. "Don't worry. If you start feeling uncomfortable just tell me and I'll let go, okay?"

"Okay." Blake smiled. Jordan really was perfect.

-

The two approached the band room still holding paws. Along the way they got a few glances, some good and some bad, but Jordan was always there to squeeze his paw and pull him closer. Blake never felt afraid. He only felt happy with the wolf beside him. Even when a group of guys pointed and laughed, Blake didn't let go. All he had to do was look at Jordan and he smiled.

The two went into the band room and was greeted with an applause by about half the bandmembers. Caitlin jumped out from the side with her arms up in the air.

"Surprise! I told everyone that you became official at lunch today. Isn't this so exciting?!" Caitlin said loudly with a giant smile.

Blake was quiet and stood motionless, but Jordan was smiling too. "So you snooped on us, huh?" the wolf said.

"Of course I did. I knew something was wrong when Blake came home crying last night," she said. "And stop pretending like you didn't know, Jordan."

"Huh?" the fox said. "You mean... you staged this whole thing?"

"I wouldn't say staged. More like I set it all up. 'Staged' makes it sound like it's all fake. But nope! It's all real. Aren't you happy?"

Blake was silent again for a while after the question, but soon found himself laughing regardless of his shy blushes. "Caitlin, I don't know what to say."

"Well you could just say 'Thank you'," she said before sticking out her tongue.

Blake hugged her. "Thank you."

Jordan grabbed both of Blake's paws and gave him another big kiss, the whole room either clapping or giving an "Aww". Some probably did both. Blake's face turned completely red, but he couldn't help but smile. Everyone was so accepting. It made him happy.

"Now," came a voice from behind. It was Mr. B. "Don't think that this means you can always do things together while in class. The school has a strict PDA policy and you know that you have to follow it. Not every teacher is nice or accepting. Just be careful."

"Yeah, and nothing during Jazz Band either. The last thing I need is you two getting distracted by each other and start making out when there's work to do," came the voice of Mr. Koln.

Blake's face turned red. "Mr. Koln you know I'd never do such a thing!"

Jordan wrapped his arms around his fox again. "I make no promises," he said with a toothy grin to show that he was just kidding.

The students in the room shortly dispersed to do their own things. The football game was still a few hours away, so those who wanted to go home or go out to get some food were able to. Others usually decide to stay and hang out for a while, practice, or do some homework. At one side of the room next to the lockers sat Blake, Jordan, Josh, and Caitlin. Blake was sitting against one of the lockers with Jordan's arm around him while the other two sat across from them.

"You knew this whole time too, didn't you, Josh?" Blake said in the middle of their conversation.

"Sure did. And I told you that you never know what'll happen unless you try," he said with a smile.

"I just can't believe this is actually happening."

"Best believe it," Jordan said with a quick nose against the fox's cheek.

"So how many kids are you two gonna adopt?" Caitlin asked abruptly.

"Wait, what?" Jordan replied, but then started laughing.

"Caitlin!" Blake shouted. "You don't just ask something like that."

"I can't help it! I'm just so happy! You two are officially my favorite official couple that ever officially became official ever!"

Jordan was still laughing as he replied. "That's a lot of officials. But honestly, I don't really know. But I can say that I do want at least two kids."

Blake looked shocked. "You're really talking about this?"

Jordan shrugged and gave his boyfriend a warm smile. "It's not like I'm making plans. It's just fun sometimes to put out your thoughts and look at the future."

Josh and Caitlin both nodded at the wolf's comment.

Touchdown!

The game had hardly just started and our team got a touchdown on the third play. O'Conner, a panther and Wide Reciever, had ran about 45 yards to the end zone in a single go. The crowd went crazy and the band started playing the Fight Song. This was gonna be a good game. Blake stood with his saxophone section and looked out to watch. He'd never actually been too interested in football, but now he had someone to watch and cheer for. Jordan had been picked to play in the game tonight as a Tight End. Made sense, Blake thought, even though he usually didn't think of raunch things like that. He snickered quietly and looked back at the game. The team was setting up for the next play. He was able to spot Jordan standing at the ready in his "Number 17" jersey. Even though the wolf had his helmet on, Blake could feel Jordan's eyes strafing over and see the shine of his smile way out on the field.

In an instant, the ball was thrown to the quarterback from the line. Players from the enemy team tried their best to break through, but it was no use. The line stood firm as the quarterback, a tall and muscle-bound bull by the name of Derrick, looked for an opening for a pass.

Jordan quickly made his way around the left side of the defensive line with only one person trailing him. He kept his eye back on Derrick every few seconds. He tried to signal for the bull to pass to him without making it too obvious. Finally, the bull did. Jordan ran a few steps further as he followed the ball and got a clean catch. He smiled and laughed for that brief moment of triumph and ran a few yards more to get a first down. He was about to keep going, but then got tackled on the side and fell to the ground with a yelp of pain.

The whole audience let out audible hisses or "ooh"s on that hit. Blake frowned and attempted to make himself taller so he could see. The wolf was still holding the ball, but wasn't moving very much. His attacker stood and patted himself down before he walked away to get back in position. Jordan slowly sat up with another groan as his teammate, a Wide Reciever named Chris, offered a paw.

"You alright, Jordan? That hit looked pretty rough."

Jordan stood and flexed his knee a little. It felt really painful, but not overbearing. "Yeah, I'm alright. Might have a little leg sprain, but it's fine." The wolf slowly jogged back over to his team for the next play.

In the stands, Blake sighed in relief and then raised his horn for the next song.

-

As the second quarter approached it's ending, the band had set off to the end of the track to warm up for the halftime show. Concert arcs were formed as people were still gathering their things. Blake hooked up the plume to his helmet and set it down in front of him.

"Ugh! I fucking hate these things!" said Jessica. She was a freshman trombone player and was clearly having trouble putting her helmet together. Blake walked over.

"Here, I'll help. These things can get really annoying."

She smiled. "Thanks, Blake. You know, I'm really jealous of you."

"Huh?" Blake asked as he stopped for a second.

"Well think about it. You're smart, musically talented, really cute, and dating one of the hottest guys in the whole school. I think just about anyone would like to be in your shoes," she explained.

Blake blushed and went back to attaching the plume. "I-I'm nothing special... I just got lucky." He gave the readied helmet back to Jessica.

She snickered and placed it down on the ground. "Lucky or not, you're in a good place. I wish I had the courage to ask the guy I like out."

"Well why don't you?" the fox asked.

She shrugged. "I'm too afraid, I guess. I don't think he likes me, or would even consider going out with me."

Blake was about to say something back, but Mr. B got on the PA and started talking.

"Never mind," Jessica said. "Thanks again."

Blake went back to his position and listened to Mr. B while he thought to himself.

"That's really sad. She's so pretty. I don't know why a guy would say no..."

The band set up their block as the halftime point was approaching. Jordan jogged up with his clarinet in hand and still wearing all his football gear except his helmet. "Alright, I'm ready!" he shouted to Mr. Koln.

The assistant band director looked at him. "Are you sure, Jordan? You took a bad hit only just a half hour ago. You should probably just rest."

"Hey, I've been tackled before. I'm fine, really. I've never missed a halftime show," the wolf said back.

Mr. Koln just shrugged a little. "Alright, I guess I can't stop you. But you better get in the block fast. We're about to head out."

"Yes, sir!" he said happily as he went to the spot conveniently open for him and directly in front of Blake.

Blake tilted his head. "What're you doing here? Don't you want to relax?"

Jordan snickered. "I'm fine, babe. I've always done the halftime show before. You know that."

"Yeah, but I also know that you don't always get picked as first Tight End and I know that I've never seen you get tackled before. I saw you flexing out your leg after you stood up. I think-"

The wolf cut the fox off with a kiss and smiled at him. "I'll be fine. Don't worry so much."

Blake blushed and tried to show some frustration, but he couldn't. He couldn't help but be worried. Moments later, the drumline started their cadence and the band set off.

The halftime show went perfectly. No screw ups, no bumps, no missed spots, and sounded great. The whole audience applauded even though they were mostly from the opposing high school. The band marched off and clumped up in front of the stands to watch the other band's show. Jordan found Blake and grabbed him from behind in a hug, sneaking a kiss on his neck.

"Hey. You were great out there."

Blake smiled and leaned back against him. "Thanks. You were too." He sighed a little. "Are you sure you're leg is okay?"

"Shh," Jordan said as he raised a paw to push a finger against the fox's lip. "No more of that. You know I can always just tell Coach to put me off if I start feeling pain."

"But-" the fox protested but was stopped by quick consecutive kisses on his lips. He blushed and giggled after the third or fourth one and reached up to gently push the wolf away. "Okay, okay! I'll stop," he said while laughing.

-

There were only seven seconds left on the clock. The enemy team was ahead by five points. There was only time for only one more play. The team huddled up and discussed.

"What's the plan?" said a linesman.

"I was thinking of doing another pass to Rull. He got a good catch earlier and I think he can do so again," said Derrick, the quarterback.

"Heh. I bet Jordan knows all about catching with that fox fuckbuddy of his," came the snarky remark of another one of the linesmen.

"Actually, I'm a virgin, so I have no idea," said Jordan with a grin. "But thanks for the compliment."

The linesman couldn't even reply as the rest of the team shared a quick laugh. "Alright. Rull will go out wide. O'Conner, I want you on the other side of the field in case he gets caught. Be ready if I need to throw to you."

"10-4," replied the panther.

"Break!" The team set up. Jordan stood at the side and readied. He looked out and caught glance of the player that tackled him earlier who was giving him quite the death glare. He watched as the guy mouthed 'You're going down' to him and then smirked. He mouthed back 'We'll see' and squated down, giving his legs one final stretch.

The football was tossed back to Derrick and Jordan took off. In what felt like a split second, the wolf was 15 yards away from the end zone with his arch rival right next to him. He looked back and saw Derrick throw the ball with all his might before being slammed down by a hefty horse. The ball was misdirected. Jordan stopped and broke to the left side around his chaser and went back to catch the ball, barely getting it in his paws. He went to the left again and found himself stuck with two players in front of him and one behind. The wolf sprinted diagonally and took a leap of faith as he felt paws on his sides, trying to pull him down. His body twisted sideways, but he kept his grasp on the ball. This was the last chance. He closed his eyes and fell, hoping that his arms had extended far enough so the ball was inside the line.

There was a brief silence.

"Touchdown by number 17! The Lakefront Miners win!" came the loud voice of the announcer. The whole Away Team bleachers exploded with sounds of cheer and the band started playing their victory Fight Song once again. Players ran out to Jordan and grabbed him from the ground, lifting him up to his feet and up into the air onto two sets of shoulders. Jordan smiled and cheered himself with a big laugh, disregarding the pain in his leg. He turned towards the band and smiled, looking out to the fox that was smiling back to him.

-

Blake and Jordan took a seat next to each other for the bus ride home. The fox hugged his boyfriend.

"I'm so happy for you, Jordan. That last catch was amazing!"

"Haha, thanks. I didn't think I made it for a moment there," the wolf said back.

"Hey Jordan, awesome catch!" came the voice of another band member.

"Yeah, that was great! And the way you somehow got out of being surrounded like that? Wow," said another as he passed by to find a seat.

Jordan smiled, actually even blushing a little. "Thanks, guys. But I only did what I was supposed to do."

Blake laughed and leaned against him. "Looks like you've got yourself a little fan club starting now."

The wolf put an arm around the fox. "I guess so. Also be careful, I probably smell awful."

"Yeah, you do," Blake said as he looked up with a smirk. "I'm just kidding. In a way, I actually kind of like it. Though I probably don't smell much better. It was a hot night."

Jordan stuck his tongue out. "You should probably take all your clothes off then, hmm?"

"Nice try. But no."

"Damn. It was worth a shot."

The two talked for a part of the way home. Blake couldn't help but notice that the wolf rubbed his right leg every few minutes, but said nothing about it. The wolf kept going on about football terminology and the way that the game went tonight.

"Jordan, you know I don't know what all that means," Blake said with slight emberrassment.

Jordan chuckled quietly. "I know, but you could always just ask." He laughed again, this time bringing his leg up, but he stopped and hissed as he brought it back down.

"I knew it. You're hurt, aren't you?" Blake asked.

"Only a little..." the wolf said innocently. He looked back to Blake who had now crossed his arms and looked annoyed. "It's not that bad, honest! I mean it's not like I broke anything. It's probably just a strained muscle."

"And you probably made it worse by marching tonight. And not telling Coach you were in pain for the last half of the game. And then you got tackled again to top it all off. You better rest this weekend," the fox said back being very serious.

"Alright, fine. But you do know that this means you have to come visit me at home and probably meet my parents."

"Say what now?"

The wolf laughed again. "Oh c'mon, it'll be fine. I've already told my mom about you anyway. She's been wanting to meet you ever since I told her that I had a crush on you. Please? I don't wanna be alone aaaaaaaall weekend."

Blake looked at the wolf's pleading eyes that were obvious even in the dark bus. He sighed. "Alright, fine... But I still wish you had just taken a rest like I asked."

"I'm sowwy, babe," the wolf said with a gentle nuzzle against Blake's cheek.

Blake snickered. "Never do that again."

"What? Sowwy?"

"Stop it!"

Jordan laughed again and Blake did too. The fox yawned.

"You tired?" the wolf asked.

Blake nodded gently. "I didn't sleep very much. There was a lot of... crying and sadness..."

"Aww. No need to be sad anymore. You can lean against me if you want."

Blake didn't hesitate for a second at the offer. He leaned against the wolf's strong chest and closed his eyes, feeling his lover's hand gently rub against his side. It took only a few minutes before the two had fallen asleep for the rest of the ride home.

So much fun. So much cute. So much yay. I hope you all enjoyed that. And in case anyone is wondering, yes, my fiance did indeed play football and was in the band in high school. I still don't really know how he did it.

I'll try to keep chapers coming regularly again. I keep getting distracted by family, friends, work, and YouTube video editing. And I'm also learning German now. So there's lots to do!
