After miscounting I am now caught up.

The chatter from the meeting was over and Rictus looked over who came and again Drake was not there. This was a bimonthly meeting and he only came once. Rictus was angry and left to find out why Drake never came.

At the door to Drake's home Rictus heard a poem, "Bound by blocks, the door is locked Those who seek, now speak Death awaits those, Who pass through the door"

Rictus touched the door handle and he felt pain and fire. He looked down to see moving chains.

Rictus yelled, "Open up Drake! It is me Rictus your leader!"

The chains flew away and Drake opened the door. Rictus looked around to see boxes to be shipped and a nest with three eggs. Then, he looked at the medals and guilds that Drake was in.

Drake interrupted Rictus thoughts and said, "The one on the far left is the lost medical guild I was in for a bit. The next one to the right is the mortuary guild, and it is basically a union. Second to the right is my secret guild that I do business with and finally, the scoundrel whom, I really hate the members that keep asking for my personal life. Anyway, your members did not listen to your orientation about posting online and I read all the forums and they tell me what is going on. So, put the letter on the table and leave me alone as I have egg duty as Anna is not here but at her mothers for help."

"Wait, your record states you are unknown age and how do you know anything about eggs. Did you make them with her?" Rictus asked.

Drake looked annoyed and replied, "Just leave, explaining how my culture is different from this one takes hours. All I will say is that I am called 'primitive' by eight of the scoundrel and they treat me like an idiot. Why should I deal with that as I have no need to talk to them at all."

Rictus left the letter and left as Drake was no help at the moment.

Just as Rictus was out the door Drake told him, "I will not be attending the event as I have my own part to attend in another content." Drake was cryptic as it was suppose to be a secret.

The weather was colder than normal and Drake had no real problem as he was a fire type. Besides the fact that Anna put him on brooding her eggs due to the weather. The white background on a white pokémon was not a good concept in the city. In the wilds of long age, it was good for hunting but, in the urban environment it was trouble. Anna made him wear an orange vest to get out in town. This annoyed him a little, but Anna was afraid he would get hit by a car if not.

He was walking to the newspaper delivery spot for orientation and this cart he did not like at all.

The manager said, "First, you all need to be seen so reflective vests will be provided and along with the carts that are company property. You break it, you pay for it and that goes for all of you. Here are your routes and take a walk in the daylight as this is a late graveyard shift job. Also, fill out this paperwork. If you are iterate, get someone else to help you."

Drake was thinking, "This guy is an idiot for trusting half these fools. I think most of them can't read very well at all."

One temp helper asked Drake, "I see you finished your paperwork. So, please help me with mine?"

Drake rolled his eye's and filled out four out of ten that day. He was looking at his routes and planned them as the snow was getting deeper. Drake used a low flamethrower to melt some snow until he could walk on it. Drake was thinking how his children would look like and that he was hungry. His monthly alimony from his old mate as a gift for returning from the dead was easily enough to get lunch at his favorite place. It was in an ally of the city and served the best soups and noddles in the city, in his opinion. He ate a larger lunch and came home to see some more work for him. His ability of fire flash was a con as he forgot that eggs develop faster and he had three hatchlings to deal with and they were doing something strange.

Drake asked Anna, "How can you lactate when you lay eggs?"

"All females I know do this so what is the point?" Anna asked.

Drake explained, "In my era, females that laid eggs had fully developed but smaller hatchlings that the adults sizes. Or, they had pups live as that was a trait long extinct in most of the developed world. It was useful in harsh environments where eggs had little chance of surviving."

Anna gave it a thought and said, "A few hundred years ago there was a catastrophe and all females started to give milk as eggs hatched a little faster and it was safer due to disease. Still, live pups are new one on me."

Drake decided to sleep for the rest of the day and his children were wet and smelly as Anna cleaned them up and placed them on their father. His tail was warm and the cold night was not good for hatchlings. Drake was asleep for hours as they wanted to sleep along with him. His children were blind and soon they were moving and that got him up.

Drake looked at the time and bathed before his paper route. It was four in the morning as he locked the door and headed off. (300 PK)

The papers were heavy and his back hurt from the cart. Every spot needed a signature for him to prove they got the papers. All week this was his job to get away from his residency for a little while.

After the paper delivery Drake would return home to roll on his back and pull it loose as his back hurt. Then, start to teach his children to speak or give them milk.

After a few paper runs he was finally stuck in the snow and his radiating natural heat was not melting the snow fast enough. He had to clear the streets with his paws to get to the pack-ice under the snow and heat that up to clear the streets enough to dig the road clear. (100 PK)

All Drake was thinking about were his old winter homes near the equator that were no longer his to own. Anna insisted he still were the orange vest when he was outside to be seen as she was wearing orange as well. All the white pokémon tended to do the same thing whenever there was snow on the ground. It was for their personal safety.

Drake was tired and wanted to go home to see his children and Mary was there looking heavy and she was moody and felling ill. Drakes' life felt almost normal as his guild had a party that was family friendly event that served good alcohol. He was sick of berry juice that was weak.

Drake thought, "Why is there no corn liquor when you need it?"
