Farinay grumbled something in his sleep, being suddenly jerking awake startled, he looked down to look at Markus in surprise,

"Everything alright?"

He asked around a yawn, Markus shook his head, and got up, he walked over to is clothes which he had hung on a nearby chair and began to dress himself, he realized that he had woken up with a fantastic sense of clarity, something he'd never experienced before, he looked back as he was putting on his black jeans to see Farinay after only a few seconds of waking up looking bright eyed and awake.

"It probably has something to do with being an Astorian I guess."

Thought Markus, as he did up the belt buckle around his waist and began to put some of his battle gear into a light, dark green backpack, he put his few remain canisters and grenades into the backpack as well as a small dagger he found on the chair where his clothes had been, probably left for him there. He look at his bow, and wondered how he was going to carry that all the way.

His question was answered as Narr entered the room, looking a bit serious, and handed him what seemed to be a leather case of some sort for his bow.

"Here, we forgot to give it to you yesterday."

"Thanks Narr."

Markus replied, and looked over the case for the bow.

It was remarkable, the bow fit perfectly into the leather case as he found out when he did up the zippers, he looked at other side of the case to see that there were several thin sleeves there, which he realized were for storing arrows, he took out his quiver from under the bed where he'd stored it and transferred them to the case. He grinned, he was beginning to like this world and the weird way it seemed to work.

He looked down at his body, he hadn't really been able to examine properly before, he realized how smoothly his features worked together to create his form, it was truly remarkable. He felt and looked like a perfect being, he hadn't felt so powerful in his life! Though, something was telling him that even now he wasn't at his peak yet.

Farinay, having gotten fully prepared, had left the room and came back with what seemed to be-

"Are those waffle, bacon, and egg sandwiches?!"

Farinay looked surprised at Markus, and threw him one of them which was wrapped in newspaper.

"Uh, yeah, how did you know?"

Markus grinned happily, as he took a huge bite out of the sandwich, syrup dripped down his muzzle but he didn't care, he was so ecstatic that he had this comfort food with him.

"I could smell it a mile away! My grandma always made them for me when I visited, I absolutely loved 'em!"

Farinay frowned and considered this a moment.

"I had a grandma, but she tried to eat me when I was a cub so my parents forebode her to get near me."

Markus stared horrified at Farinay, stopping his ravenous devouring of the sandwich to look at him with wide eyes. Farinay smiled.

"Gotcha, don't worry, we're not that crazy."

He winked, and motioned for Markus to pick up his pack and get up, they had to get moving, Markus shouldered his backpack, and put the bow case on so it hung at his side, pretty easy, he noticed, to be withdrawn within a few seconds if needed.

Farinay grabbed his own pack which had several an incredible amount of keychains on the back and walked outside, Narr and Arron were waiting for them, they were arguing again with the messenger that was sent to them, who was staring at them flatly.

"No, I will NOT help you carry that, you don't need that sword anyway we have plenty back at HQ!"

He bickered, his arms crossed as he stared intently at the two of them.

"Oh come on! You haven't got anything to carry plus this really comes in handy with the bigger soldiers!"

Replied Arron, as he pointed to a sword so big that Markus realized he could lay himself out completely flat and still not be longer than it. The messenger was just about to make another smart remark about how he wasn't their slave when Farinay cleared his throat.

"We're ready to go..."

The group turned, the looked at Farinay and Markus standing together, the messenger then took advantage of that moment to turn and stalk outside, ending the argument about the sword with a huff of breath. Farinay rolled his eyes and said.

"Come on Arron, leave the blasted sword here, we already have enough trouble as it is!"

Arron just sighed and nodded, he shoulder his own back, and together the four Astorian teenagers paraded out the door, which was now hanging on two hinges. Having gotten ready for their trip, and setting out on their journey back to their group's origin.
