A week, maybe a little over, that's what William counted since he's been on the Glass Sea. He still hasn't spoken to Johnathan... James, despite all the questions that swam around in his head, making it hard for him to think straight. He slept with the rest of the crew at night below deck, well, he tried to sleep, but knowing that his old friend was no more than a short stride away, he still had no idea what to say. What was he supposed to say? The old James that he used to know was gone and replaced with this stranger that called himself Johnathan Black, that much was clear to him.

William shook his head. He didn't even know how to feel anymore. He still had the love for his friend James, but had a burning hatred for this other person called Johnathan. Two different people in one body, two different emotions for the same person. He wasn't even sure if Johnathan really was James. He could be lying? Their fur and eye color were different... but... even so, something inside of William told him that they were the same.

He ran his fingers through his hair, clutching his head as it began to throb with all the uncertainty that drowned his mind in waves. This wasn't right, something just didn't feel right about the whole situation and the more he thought about it the less sense it made. Was the wolf Johnathan, or was he James? Or maybe he was both?

William looked up to the night sky. He was leaning against the mast on the main deck, still fighting with his own mind for control. Thoughts and scenarios ran freely through his mind and down to his stomach, making it hard to keep his dinner down. He shook his head again, was it really worth all the fret, he thought. It's not like it made a difference in the long run. He was a prisoner on this ship, nothing more, nothing less.

Yeah, that's what he'd keep telling himself. Maybe if he says it enough times, he will believe himself and can finally get some sleep...

"She fancies you, ya know?" James said, giving William a few jabs in the side with his elbow. He was caught staring at Emily Rose again, but how could he not? She was a beautiful young women; hair a rich brown, skin a milky white, lips redder than a rose and always wore the most radiant gowns. She was absolutely intoxicating.

William scoffed, prying his eyes away from the stunning women. "No she doesn't," he said, having to tilt his head back to look up to James. "She thinks I'm strange, it's you she fancies... though I can't entirely blame her..." he mumbled those last few words, a hot blush plastering itself on the boy's cheeks as he looked away, getting one last glance at the beautiful Emily Rose.

"Me?" James said sarcastically. "A wolf, I doubt that. Why would she choose me (a mutt) over you? The prince and heir to your fathers thrown."

'I could name several reason's' William thought. 'starting with your broad shoulders, thick arms and abdomen of iron...' He cleared his throat, brushing those thoughts off. "Simple, you're more attractive," he said, giving the wolf a firm punch in the stomach, but James was unmoved and unaffected. "And more muscular, tougher, kinder, and several other reason that escape me at the moment."

James rolled his eyes, as he always did when William would go on about how he should be getting married soon, though the wolf had never shown any interest in women, as far as William knew.

"Come on, James! You're going to have to marry sooner or later. You're twenty one, for heaven's sake!" William said, weaving through a few of the commoners as the two made their way back to his father's palace.

"Oh please," the wolf said. "And what about you, eh? What's your excuse? You're only a few years behind me, you know." James scratched his head. "... How old are you again?"

"Nineteen," William said in an irritated tone, annoyed that the wolf forgot his age... again... "And I don't have to worry about searching for a wife because I'm very certain that my father will arrange a marriage for me eventually." He looked down. "He's already been pestering me about it."

James crossed his arms and the prince knew what was coming, the same talk that he got every time he brought up the subject of arranged marriages. "I don't think that having an arranged marriage is right,"

"I know," William said, nodding. "You've told me a good thirty or so times by now."

"Then why don't you do anything about it! That law doesn't require the prince to be wed before gaining the crown, that law only applies to the princess... though I'm still not entirely sure why..."

"Because the crown needs a king, not just a queen," He said, reminding the wolf as he always did.

"Oh yes..." he mumbled, scratching his chin in thought. "Women are really underestimated, you know. I think your sister could run a kingdom without much of a hassle."

William looked back up to the wolf and gave him a coy smile. "You talk awful highly of my sister..." he chuckled. "Do you fancy her_?"_

The wolf's face burned a bright red, visible even through his chocolate fur. "No!" he said, a little too loudly and drawing some attention from the passing citizens. His ears flattened on his head as he looked down and fiddled with his fingers. "I mean, she's nice, and lovely to look at... but she's human, and humans and wolves (or any other animals for that matter) can be mated, that's the way it's always been."

William coughed a laugh. "No its not! That was never a law in the kingdom. They just typically don't like each other. I've seen human and other races find love with each other. It's not as uncommon as you think, James."

James glared down at the prince. "Don't burst my bubble. I'm running out of excuses okay?"

William nodded sarcastically. "Okay big guy, whatever you say."

William sighed as he pulled another rope to secure the main sail. Last night's sleep was short lived, feeling as if he only closed his eyes for a few minutes. It was a light sleep, more like a nap, but sleep none the less. He was afraid to get up and go back to his hammock below deck and risk ruining his will to sleep, so he slept against the mask of the ship instead. The night was cold, but the warm morning sun quickly turned the prince's body into a sweaty fountain, drops from his brow leaking down into his eyes. One of the lemur boys (Lance, William lerend that the lemur with the green headband was Lance, and the one with the red was Gregory, Greg for short) had given him a bandana to tie around his head. The crew had eventually warmed up to William's presents and, surprisingly, William began to enjoy being in their company. Most of them were nice men, telling stories to him on what all Captain Johnathan had lead them through in their years at sea and how they came to meet the pirate captain.

Lance and Gregory had met the wolf on a pirate island known as Bella's Bay. The boys were orphaned when they were just lads, so trust for each other was the only thing they had. They were living in on the streets at the time and pickpocketing was their only source of money. So long story short, they stole from the wrong pirate and got into some trouble when Johnathan came about and saved their lives. They spoke highly of him when they were explaining his sword skills; quick as a flash with devastating and fatal blows were only some of the many compliments they explained him with. All the while, William just couldn't get over the thought of James holding a blade, let alone being good at it. The wolf was (WAS) the kindest soul that William had ever met, but now, listening to the crew members' stories on how most of them were saved by the pirate captain, it was as if William never knew the wolf at all.

A large and heavy crocodile (James's first mate, William was told) had explained that on an expedition with his old crew and captain, he had been captured by a group of natives on an unexplored island. He was thrown in a bone cage and awaited his fate when he realized that he had a prison mate. "At first I thought the man had gone mad," The crocodile had explained. "He was going on about the treasure of Babasigh and how he was so close until he was captured by the natives." He chuckled as he thought back on the memory. "That treasure was only a myth, as far as I knew, and we were both going to die within the hour, oh but boy was I wrong." Then the crocodile had explained an elaborate and cunning escape that the wolf captain had performed by using a broken bone and twine from the cage that he was being kept in. "The most amazin' thing I ever saw," the crocodile said before walking off.

William leaned against the rails of the side of the ship, thinking about all the stories that he'd heard throughout the week and tried to piece the personality of Johnathan together with James, but they just didn't seem to fit. He flicked a chip of wood off the railing and into the water, watching it float as the ship shoved on. He needed to talk to the wolf, he knew that, but he didn't really want too. He mentally slapped himself for sounding like such a child. Life was full of things you don't or didn't want to do, those rules applied to him as well, even if he was the prince.

"Can we talk?" a familiar and dreaded voice came from behind him. William turned to see James, or Johnathan, standing motionlessly behind him. Much to William's surprise, the wolf wasn't wearing all the jewelry that he normally does, now only wearing his earrings. He wasn't wearing his captain's hat, or coat, or even sword for that matter and for the first time, the wolf actually looked like James.

William was quiet, wondering what he should do before he found himself nodding. James gave a small smile and offered his hand. The prince looked at his hand, than back at the wolf before walking past him towards the captain's quarters. "Right," he heard James sigh as he scratched his ear and followed William into his room. He smiled inwardly at himself, feeling as if he was being scolded by his mother as he followed the prince and closed the door behind him. He looked outside past William and through his window to see that the sun had already set and the moon replaced its spot in the sky.

He drew closer to William, who was leaning against his desk with his arms folded firmly across his chest. He came to stop, only within arm's length from the boy. "I know I owe you a lot of explanations," he began, not really knowing what he was saying but just letting his lips do the work. "Like why I disappeared on you like that five years ago and why I'm a pirate-" he was cut off by the sudden contact between his and the prince's lips. William had covered the distance between them before James could notice and was now standing in front of him, kissing him with his hands on the wolf's chest.

When William did break the kiss, he wrapped his arms around James torso and embraced his old friend, tears already starting to blur his vision. "You have no idea how much I've missed you, you bastard."

James sighed as he returned the hug and rested his chin on the boy's head. "I know, and I'm sorry. You didn't deserve that kind of loss when I was never really gone..."

William was silent, burying his nose into the other man's chest. After all the pondering and thinking that he's done over the week, he's finally come to a conclusion in his own mind. He didn't care what James was like now, he didn't care if it wasn't the same James or if it was, all that he cared about was that he had finally found him. Those three years of searching on the waters had finally paid off.

"So..." James said after a few more moments in the embrace. "Does this mean you're not mad at me anymore?"

William scoffed, pulling his body away from the wolf, but keeping his arms around him. "Oh you better believe I'm still mad at you and you have a hell of a lot of explaining to do," he paused for a moment before looking back up into the Wolf's deep brown eyes. "But not tonight, I'm much too tired to get into it right now..."

James smiled wide, showing some of his canids as he bent down, running his hands down the prince's rear and onto his legs before picking him up with no effort at all. William gasped at the touch and wrapped his arms tightly around James thick neck, clinging onto him as if afraid to be dropped. The wolf grinned as the boys rump came to rest on his crotch. "Can I ask you one thing first?" he said, carrying William to his bed and playfully throwing him onto the bed before bracing himself over the boy. "When did you start to like males?"

William laughed and turned his head away from the wolf's. "About a minute and a half ago when I kissed you,"

James chuckled as he leaned down to kiss William, who gladly kissed back when they made full contact. They stayed like that for a long moment, William enjoying the kiss while James enjoyed feeling up and down the boy's body, giving loving gropes and squeezes that made the prince whine in minor pleasure. "We don't have to do this," James said, breaking the kiss and moving on to attack the boy's neck with his tongue.

"It's okay," William whispered, running his fingers through the fur of James back all the way down to the base of his tail. "I want to."

The wolf couldn't stop his tail from wagging uncontrollably. He moved his hands under William's shirt and pealed it off, gazing down to admire the boy's magnificent body. He quickly moved on to the boy's pants, receiving a giggle from William as he ran his hand down the boy's thighs as he pulled off his pants.

Unable to control himself any long, James striped his own cloths off, reviling a hard and ready canine cock, glistening in the candle lit room. He leaned down and rolled them both over so that William was sitting on James's lap. "We can go at your pace," he said, running a hand up and down the boy's chest, extending his claws so that they just barely touched the skin.

William nodded, lifting his rear and reaching back to find James waiting erection. He held it in his hand as he guided it to his entrance, the tip of the hungry member just touching William's entrance. James hands have moved down to place themselves of the boy's hips, waiting for the boy to be ready. Slowly and steadily, William began to lean back, feeling James penetrate him as it slid in with ease. James gasped at the tightness of the boy's rear while William gasped as pain and pleasure flooded his body in electrical waves. Unlike last time, William was actually happy to be here, sitting on the wolf's cock. There was a different feeling in the air, and this time, William wanted it. He wanted to be dominated, as strange as it sounds. Maybe it was the joy of being reunited, or maybe it was pure lust, but whatever the case, they both wanted each other and that much was undeniable.

William began to slide up and down James's ready member, feeling the wolf's natural lubricant wet his insides with warmth. He sat back deeper and harder with each bounce until he could feel the wolf's knot inside of him and his sack just under his rear. He quickened his pace a little more, feeling somewhat awkward at the unnatural position. Eventually James's instinct started to kick in and he was pumping his hips up and pushing William's rump down over his shaft. He could feel his knot swelling with each thrust and didn't know how much longer he would last. This would probably be his quickest round with anybody that he could remember. The boy on top of him was just so... different than the others that he's slept with.

"I-I'm gonna-" he heard William gasped but was cut short from James letting out a throaty growl.

"Me too," he said through a snarl. With one last thrust and a quick push, William's rear was locked and stretched as James's knot slid in place and released his load.

William gasped as he let out his load as well, spraying James's chest with his white, sticky strands. With a reliving sigh, William leaned down and rested his head on the wolf's soft chest, feeling his own globs cling to his skin, but he didn't really care. James's one hand was placed on the boy's side while the other stroked his back affectionately. They stayed there like that, enjoying each other's feel and especially the afterglow. James's knot was starting to become uncomfortable inside of William, but he knew that it would feel much worse if he tried to pull the wolf's shaft out before it was ready, so he closed his eyes and let sleep take him over instead.

That was the first night in a week that William, and James, slept peacefully.
