Part 2 of this series. The railway line in this part sadly no longer exists, however the platform at Hellesdon is still there even though the tracks arent.

I thought of putting a Back to the Future reference in there too ^_^

Thomas turned to see his boss standing in the doorway between the shopfront and the back room. He was a tall but wide sort of man with a plump face, which shew how much money he made. "Tom." he said with a kind smile, "Youve been working hard here the past year and a half. So i'm giving you a week off." Next day, Thomas looked out of the small cracked window of his bedroom and grinned as he saw the sun shining brightly. He had a week free and he knew just how he was going to spend it. He got himself dressed in his usual navy cotton trousers and no top. Shirts wouldnt fit over his wings. Leaving his small flat he walked the short distance to Norwich City railway station. He bought a ticket at the ticket office and stepped onto the platform. The first thing that caught his eye was an unusual locomotive sitting in platform 1. He stepped over for a better look. The loco was a Single Stirling class, but it had been heavily modified with scientific instrumments and pipes attatched to the sides. A small group of people were crowded near the driver who was explaining. "This." the driver boasted, "Is a time machine. When it hits 88 miles per hour you're gonna see some serious sh..." the last word was drowned out by the safety valves letting off steam. The signal went green and the "time machine" departed. Tom turned around and headed for his train in platform 2. The train sped along the tracks making its rythmic clickety clack noise. Tom sat near the window, enjoying the view as the city turned to fields. Finally, the train stopped at Hellesdon. Tom disembarked and looked at his surroundings. A couple of fields seperated the houses from the railway. Tom climbed over a gate and into the grassland. Grass was a new feeling on his bare feet and he curled up his toes to enjoy it. He then remembered the main reason for his trip and spread his wings. He was outside the no-fly zone, so making final mental checks he began to flap...
