"I fucking hate..." a punch flew to the sandbag "...this life!!!"

This was all the thoughts that Catherin "Kat" Jonas had in mind. The orange cat was passing her Saturday evening like every other since she left her, that is coming to the gym straight after finishing her search for a job. In fact, when she found her boyfriend cheating on her with a girl she ran away from their house and went living in the college dorm. The only problem were the high rent of the dorm, it tock away most of the money her parents passed her monthly.

Still thinking about her money problem, Kat went in the dressing room to change herself. Once ready she got out and starting going to the exit still thinking to a solution when...

"Kat!!!" a voice called her from the reception.

"mmmh?" She turned to the source of the voice. It was Max, the bulky panda that the reception, and for now, the only male she trusted except her father. "Oh, hi Max. Sorry. Didn't notice you."

"I saw. Anyway, are you still searching for a job?" he asked her.

"Yes. Wait, don't tell that your bicolor ass managed to get me a job at the gym!" she shouted grabbing him from the t-shirt.

"Nope, sorry kitty" he said taking her hands off him "But maybe I have something that may help anyway."

"What?"she asked impatient like a child during the Christmas eve.

"Well, this morning a shark came here with a leaflet about a café searching for a new barman/woman. There wasn't much else other than the address. He said that people could come starting from tomorrow. If I were you I would give it a cha..." he couldn't finish the sentence that Kat was already hugging him.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you Max, you are the best!" She shouted.

"Ouch. Don't shout in my ear kitty."

"Oh sorry, too much excited. I have to go. See you on Monday." She said going back to her dorm.

"Bye Kat!!!" He shouted after her.

The next morning Kat got up so excited she got up before the alarm went off. She took a shower, dressed up with a white t-shirt and a pair of brown trousers and ran out of the door not bothering to have breakfast.

Several minutes later she arrived in front of the café. From the outside it wasn't nothing special. Just a white two-story building with ensign that said "Paradise Café". It had two showcases, one with a glass door, but they were so clean that the sun reflected on them and stopped her from taking a peek to the inside.

And so, a bit afraid of the nth delusion, she grabbed the handle and went inside.

As she opened the door, the following things happened: A bell ranged, a piece of ice flew through the room, a little lion and a shark ended their fight, a dragon lost his bet, human stopped his cuddling session with his mate and a wolf put down his cup of tea.

"Finally somebody new." The wolf said "Welcome to Paradise Café, how can I help you miss?"

Kat took a moment a look of the big room, besides the grey wolf there were a white shark, a little lion, a black tiger, a black dragon, two humans, an Exveemon and a DarkFlamedramon, and worst of all, they were all males.

"Ehm... well... My name is Catherin, I saw yesterday the leaflet were you said you were searching for a new employer and..."

"Basically" peeped in the human sitting on the Exveemon "You came here for the job. Am I right?"

"Well yes, but said this way seemed less rude."

"Oh, It doesn't matter." The wolf said "So Catherin, my name is Demetrius and I'm the owner of this place. But before I start anything, please, take a sit." Pointing to one of the red stools standing in front of the counter.

Reluctantly she sat down near the black tiger.

"Ok. Now First question: Do you have any experience in working at bars or cafés?"

"No." she admitted looking down to her hands.

"Perfect, second question: Are you omophobic?"

"No..." She answered again beginning to be a little confuse.

"Are you good in handling magic?"

"Not really. At school I go quite well but I don't use it in my life."

"What are the three main ways to use magic?"

"Excuse me sir but what does this..."

"What are the three main ways to use magic?" He asked again.

"Spiritual, Mana and Chakra."

"Will any of your friends, parents or relatives worry if you change house?"

"I don't really have one so..."

"Ok. Last question: Are you ticklish?"

"What does this..." She couldn't end the sentence that the little lion started to tickle her.

"Ahahahahhahahahahhaaahhh Stop ahhahahahahahahhaha pleaseahahahahahahahhaahah" She said between laughter.

"Ok Marco. You can stop now" The dragon said tacking him from behind.

"Well, at least I made her smile" Marco answered "Now give me a piggyback."

"You are eleven, you can't still want piggybacks."

"No. You said it the wrong way. I'm still eleven, I can still allow myself piggybacks."

"Stop you two." Demetrius said tacking another sip from his mug. "Getting back to the main subject. Catherin, welcome to the family."

"Anf anf, what? Sorry didn't understand."

"I said, Welcome to the family. The job is yours."

"Yeaaaahhh" she said before fainting.

"God. She must be very ticklish for fainting." The white haired human said.

"Stop observing her and get her to her room"

"Yes sir" the Exveemon said moving the human from his lap "Sorry Chase"

"Only if this night you don't steal all the blankets like always."

"What's the problem? There is Dark to keep you warm." He replayed

"Yes. Then it ends like this morning with Ann coming in and..."

"Excuse me guys." The shark interrupted "But we don't need to hear your sexual life, get her to her room and shut up."

"Oh shut up you" The dragon said "I was interested"

"Do you want to bring it in the hell room Drake?"

"Ok, If I win you will come with me to the mall like a couple and you will bring all my bags."

"Great. But If I win you will shout loud your secret in front of everybody."

"Like if the little Mathew could defeat me."

"Don't tempt me Pervdragon."

And so, The Exveemon and Demetrius brought Kat upstairs, Mathew and Drake went downstairs Chase sat on Dark lap and started to cuddle him.

"So Mike, It's only us eh?" The white haired human said "What do you want to do?"

"You know Cremesi? I think I'll just have my usual hot chocolate." He answered before going the other side of the counter.

When Kat woke up an hour later, the first thing she saw was a blue and white muzzle, at first she blinked her eyes thinking she was still asleep, but when she realized it was true she punched it so hard it made the Exveemon fall backwards.

"Ouch Miss! I think you broke some of my data with that punch of yours." He said holding his nose which was starting to bleed.

"You were trying to kiss me!!!" she shouted at him. "Way the heck were you trying to kiss me?!?"

"Woah woah woah miss. I was trying to do what?"

"I said: You were trying to kiss stupid bunch of data!!!"

"Me? Kissing you? A girl? Just when my boyfriends are downstairs?" He asked "Are we sure we are speaking of the same person?"

The fact that the big muscled digimon was gay shocked her "Wait, are you saying me that you and the kid that was standing on your lap are a couple?" she asked, still a little shocked.

"Not only Chase, I'm even with Dark, remember? I said boyfriends."

"Oh my god, sorry, I didn't know." She said blushing a bit under her fur.

"No, it's ok, I shouldn't have been so near you. If this happened it's my fault and..."

In that moment the door opened and Marcos' head popped in "Oh, you are awake, grate, I'll tell dad to get the cake out."

"Marco, aren't you forgetting anything?"

"What?" he asked?

"Don't know, something like an excuse to your new keeper for making her faint?" He answered?

"Oh yes? Sorry for making you faint. Now move, the cake is ready." He said before running away.

"Ok, let's move before they finish it without us." He said grabbing her arm and pulling her out of the room

"Wait what's happening?"

"We are having a party!"

"Why?"

"Because you got the job and you are moving here."

Still confused she arrived downstairs were everybody shouted a big congratulation and started a little party with music and cake.

Somehow, they ended up in the living room of the apartment. The Exveemon, which name is Ex, Dark and Chase had already went back home using Demetrius laptop while Drake, Cremesi, Mike, Mathew, Marco and Demetrius were sitting with her in her new house.

"Can I ask you a couple of questions sir?" She asked.

"As long as you stop calling me sir and start calling me daddy or Demise yes."

"Ok, now the question are three. First, is this a gay café?"

"Not really, when I opened up this café I was thinking about a café mainly for students, but really our door is open for everybody except homophobic."

"Ok, the second question is why did you chose me? I mean, it's not that I'm angry but like I said during the "test" I don't have any experience in bar or anything."

"Well you see Catherin..."

"Please daddy" she interrupted him "Call me Kat"

"Ok, You see Kat, the only question that was important to me was "Are you homophobic?" for the experience we don't have a lot of costumers so you will gain it easily with time, besides I made Mathew give the leaflet only to gyms, I wasn't expecting much, and for the questions about magic, well, the fact is that here, except Marco, we are only naturals

"What does it mean?" she asked curiously.

"It means that we are capable of using magic since we were little, and also, naturals are at 99,9% homosexual"

"Oh, so last question, why is your nick name Demise?"

"Well it's a long story and maybe one day I will even tell you, In short, my mate gave this nickname to me because I killed his life as a single."

"Oh, that interesting. Anyway, I have to go or I won't be back home in time."

"Aren't you forgetting something Kat?" Mathew asked?

"No way?"

He threw her a pair of keys. "When you'll come back tomorrow you better bring with you all your things, if you need a hand call us, but staring from tomorrow this will be the place you call home, remember it."

She blushed and got out of the bar. Having her first wide and genuine smile after months, she got back to the dorm. Maybe she finally found a bit of hope in her life.
