upon deaf ears

Chants of a better life pass over her lips, a silent echo heard only by her within the walls of the cathedral. She laid her head against the altar, beads of tears stream down her face, knowing her words would not be heeded.

She looks up, staring at the crucifix, her savior.

"Why?" She asks, her eyes glossy and red, her robe soaking up the tears that fall from her. "Why am I treated this way, in the house of the lord?" She asked quietly. "Only do I wish to carry on your name, your love,

your pain... I abide myself to his ways, but a fur of the church has given himself to you, and to no one else." She fell silent, whipping the tears from her fur. "Save me... set me free from all this"

She motioned over her body a gesture, forming a cross then nodding. She stood silently, folding her paws into each other's cuffs and walking down the isle, passing those who have come to pray. She made her way down into the lower levels of the church, walking down a desolate corridor lit by torches.

"Rin " a voice behind her called, stopping her. A paw clutched her shoulder, then traveled down her back and along her side. She shivered, shutting her eyes and looking away as the wolf leaned over her shoulder. She

crossed her arms, wishing someone would interrupt this moment. "I need to speak with you, meet with me in my quarters after the sermon." He said, his paw caressing her thigh. She pulled away from him, acknowledging his wishes with a slight nod, his paw left her side and he kissed her on the neck, then left her alone in the faint light of the dancing flames.

The grand bells of the church rang aloud, calling all those faithful to prayer throughout the small town. The church was quite an extravagant building; it's main body bearing windows of holy furs and others telling the story of our lord. To the right, the tallest tower with the huge bronze bells and massive circular stained glass window under the bells, its colors arranged as rays of the sun cast down upon the land in days long past, rolling hills stretching across it with one bearing three cross at its top.

Rin stood at the grand doors at the front of the church; furs greeted the young collie as they entered for the day's sermon. Inside, they took their seats in the pews, flipping through their bibles as Father Sodin took his place at the front, setting his candles and bible on the podium. Rin walked down the isles, her hood was up and she carried a long pole with a circular incense burner swinging from a chain at the end of the rod. Furs said their blessings as she passed them, breathing in the holy scent of the smoke that poured from the cross shaped holes of the sphere. She placed the rod in a hole next to the organ and took her seat, then began to play. A soothing hymn flowed through the chapel, setting every sole at peace. Striking the keys with a light touch, her beautiful playing could bring tears to those with noble hearts. It always amazed those who came, for she played in the dark, her eyes always closed as she played, knowing ever sheet of music down to the very last measure. Her music brought furs from all around the countryside.

A slight breeze passed over her as she opened the old door; it was cold in his room as she stepped in, just like before. It's been two years since she had been summoned to this room; she remembers that night so well, not as

a night of beauty, lust, or love; but as pain. She took a seat in an old wooden chair next to a role top desk and waited, sitting upright and attentive with her paws in her lap. Three minutes had passed before the door creaked

open and the wolf stepped in, she stood and faced him as if at attention.

"You wished to speak with me, father?" she asked, her paws behind her back as he approached her. He walked around her, eyeing every curve as she stood silently, waiting for a response. He stopped behind her and placed his paws around her waist, she stiffened, just like before. "I wish to thank you for your contributes to the church." He said, hugging her and slipping a paw inside her robe. She couldn't say anything, her memories flowing back to her in a wave of pain and suffering that left her speechless. "God smiles upon you, young one, and I'm here to reward you." A smile curled over his lips and he pushed her up against the wall, running his paws down her sides and clutching her robe. She leaned up against the wall, her paws holding her up and her awareness still lost in the back of her mind. He lifted her robe above her waist, rubbing his fingers between her thighs. He was already hard and ready for her, pressing up against her ass as she stood dazed. He licked his fingers and made circles around her tail hole, getting it wet and slipping his finger in and out, then jamming his fully erect cock up her hole. She snapped out of it at that point, the sharp pain of him ripping up her insides as he pumped away at her made her clinch her teeth, her eyes shut tightly and she tried to scream, but no words made it out. His claws gripped at her hips as he pushed in and out of her, kissing her neck and whispering to her to relax herself, but she couldn't, she wouldn't. She moaned in pain, her claws digging into the wall and tears running down her face.

" stop " she managed to whisper, but even she was barley able to hear it. "please."

He pushed harder and deeper into her, his paws now rubbing her crotch as his sniffed her fur. Her breathing was quick and hard, her arms growing weak; through her mind she prayed for him to stop, then a voice came from

upstairs.

"Father Sodin? You here?" It called, the words echoing down the corridor and into their ears. He paused and silence befell the room; he slipped himself from her, his cock still hard and pink as he rapped himself in his rob and left the room. Rin slid down the wall to her knees, crying and pulling her robe tightly against her body. He sobs were silent, but strong; she's taken these years of his touching her, caressing her, feeling her for his own pleasure, and kept it tightly inside her; but now it bleeds from her soul. She hugged herself, shivering and crying and rocking back and forth. She finally gathered herself after a minute and got up, running to the door and taking her leave down the hall.

The afternoon light shimmered through the staind glass mural, its light filtered into the colors of the sky, the clouds, the hills, and onto Rin, who huddled against the railing of the stair case. Her face was wet with tears and her paws shaking. Her breathing stopped, holding it in as the stairs creaked beneath her. She got up and stood in front of the mural, breathing hard as the wolf appeared from the darkness. He gaze upon her a cold one. She was a dark figure to him, standing before the window.

"why did you leave? We weren't done yet. " he said, stepping closer. Her anger and fear fought with her, she couldn't keep it in any more, words she wouldn't dare speak in the house of the lord ran through her mind,

and she exploded.

"I'm not here for you to make me your own! I stand here before my lord, not for thee, you're ways are not justified by his wishes for he hasn't bid thee to do so! Blasphemes! Your sins will not go unheeded and it starts with

me! You will not touch me, nor anyone else on these sacred grounds!" She cried, trying to step past him, but he grabbed her wrists and slammed her into the stained glass window, she could hear the glass crack under the sudden force.

"I'll cast thee out upon the streets! Cast thee from this church! You'll be damned, a heathen in the eyes of the lord, of the people! Then no one will trust your word!" His paws squeezed her wrists, crushing her bones

together and making her paws go numb, " I'll find another apprentice, one worthy of me and the lord" he whispered to her, releasing one of her paws and rubbing the side of her face, "and don't think it'll be different "

She turned away from him, casting her eyes to the green hills embedded into the widow, their colors an ridescent shine in her eyes. She looked up a little ways, to the three crosses upon the hill. She closed her eyes, whispering a silent prayer to herself.

"What was that?" He asked, forcing her to look up at him. She smiled slightly, still chanting forgiveness to her savior in a silent voice.

"No... you won't " she whispered to him, then pushed him away from her, then pulled him forward, tripping him and causing him to fall against her and into the glass mural, shattering the weakened glass as she pulled him with her through the sparkling shards of glass that caught the light of the evening sun. She let go of him as they plummeted, falling back with her arms out to her sides, her robe flapping as air rushed past her. She look to the sky,

smiling as a tear fell from her eye and blown away in the wind.

"Finally" she thought to her self, lost in her gaze upon the sky. "I'm free"
