A Present for my Sister.

This story is actually based on a true story that happened. Every year, I buy my sister a nutcracker for christmas because she loves them and has a collection of them. So I bought her a beautiful white nutcracker. (At TJ Max though not Hobby Lobby). This is just a little short slice of life story I wrote in around ten minutes. Not much but enjoy.

The best thing about Hobby Lobby was that no matter what, it was always so peacefull and quiet. Even on the holiday season. That's one reason Jack went there to do some last minute Christmas shopping. The twenty year old wolf walked into the warm welcoming store, his jacket covered with snow.

"Let's see," he said to himself as he reached into his wallet and checked how much money he had.

He had around sixty dollars in cash to buy his mother and sister a Christmas present. Because it was only 9:30 AM, Hobby Lobby was rather empty and quiet. There were a few other customers, there was an old tabby cat who was looking around at Christmas décor while some employees were stocking shelves. The entire store was filled with Christmas carols and the centerpiece decoration, a large Christmas tree which had pictures and décor dedicated to the US military took at the front proud and strong.

Jack made his way through the store searching for a christmas present for his mother. It was traditional that every Christmas, he would buy his mother a snowman and she had quite the collection. Toy snowmen, wooden snowmen, snowmen made of plastic, snowmen which played music when you turned the handle at the bottom, his mother had quite the collection.

"Ah there they are!" Jack exclaimed as he saw the table full of Christmas décor on sale. He noticed a cute plushie snowmen wearing an innocent blue hat and the most adorable smile. It would be a perfect gift for his mother. Jack picked up the snowman and checked the price. Only 14.99 and it was fifty percent off so that was a good deal. Jack also picked a Santa Clause decoration as a gift for his grandmother as that was also another family tradition. He was about to head to check out when something caught his eye.

At the very edge of the store was perhaps the most beautiful thing he ever saw. Sitting at the bottom of a shelve was a large nutcracker painted in white and silver holding a sword also painted with silver. Jack appoarched it with his eye wide with excitement. It was the most excellent nutcracker he had ever seen. Even though it was made of wood, the paint was professionally done and made the nutcracker shine in the stores lights. It stood proud with it's wooden sword and it's body painting with decorations and medals. Jack knew exactly who would like this. He carefully picked up the nutcracker and checked it's price. Only 24.99. He could afford that. He picked it up and carefully set it in his bag as he headed to the check out. The kind vixen behind the counter helped him wrap his gifts with paper and greeted him a merry christmas.

As Jack headed out to his truck, he looked down at the nutcracker in his bags. He smiled with spirit for he knew this nutcracker would be the perfect gift for his sister. He started his truck and headed home, waiting for the day when he would get to see his sister open her present to her charming nutcracker.
