A story that my friend TreIII has been helping me write that relates to his TAMR story on Roommates.

Bon Voyage

For a few moments more, the two young men sat in complete silence, allowing themselves process everything that had just transpired. After all, regardless of whatever outcome Trey may have desired originally, this did change the dynamics of their relationship in a profound way.

"So, what now?" Trey asked at long last.

"Well, I don't know about you, but I think it's time for me to see to my yoga regiment." Jojo replied.

"Yoga, eh? Mind if I join you?"

"Really?" Jojo said raising an eyebrow. "Have you ever done it before? If not, I should warn you now: it's definitely not as 'action-packed' as your martial arts. Would that at all pose a problem?"

"Not at all!" Trey said with a goofy grin, and pulled Jojo into a playful headlock. "But I really don't know much of anything about it, so perhaps my new 'friend' could show me!"

"Already using the 'friend card', I see!" Jojo replied with a chuckle breaking free of Trey's grip. "Very well, then. I would say you should go and change into something that will make you feel as relaxed as possible. Then I can show you some basics!"

"Alright, be right back!"

With that, Trey ran back inside the house. He came in through the side door, and soon smacked right into the large, solid form of his Uncle Gai. Trey fell back onto his rear and looked up at him with an impish smile, all while Gai was clearly unfazed by the collision.

"Perhaps Jojo is right about your 'habit.'" Gai said with a chuckle, helping his nephew to his feet. "As a budding martial artist, you MUST be more aware of the world around you...if you catch my drift."

"Sorry 'bout that, just going up to change."

"No worries." His uncle replied, taking a sip of his coffee. "So, is everything well? What were you two discussing out there, anyway?"

Trey froze up a little, unsure if he wanted to be but so frank with more sensitive details. "Being so nosy, eh? How much did you see, anyway?"

"Not a thing." Gai replied with a smile, patting Trey on the shoulder as he walked by.

"He can joke around all he wants. His body language tells me that he saw everything." Trey thought to himself, putting the very observational skills in question to immediate use.

Nevertheless, he made it back to his room without further incident and took off his new gi, hanging it in his closet. He then changed back into the T-shirt he had on earlier and a pair of sweat pants. He also put his gloves back on, along with retying his bandanna atop his head. After a quick check in the mirror, he ran back outside to rejoin Jojo.

"Hey I'm ba-" He quickly stopped when he saw Jojo. The Persian was in the middle of performing a handstand over in the grass, with his left arm extended to his side, and his right leg angled against his left one. Trey giggled a little because Jojo's shirt had sagged down towards his head, exposing his toned stomach.

"I wonder if he's ticklish?" Trey thought with a devilish grin on his face.

He crept up quietly, and gave Jojo a poke to his bellybutton. The startled Persian fell over onto his back with a shout.

"...Have you gone out of your hollow head, Gaowow? You trying to have me break my bloody neck?!" Jojo said as he stood back up, giving Trey a displeased look.

"Sooorry, couldn't resist." Trey responded with a shit-eating grin.

"Well, this is certainly a new side to you." Jojo said with a bit of surprise on his face. "You're normally so quiet. All the while setting me up for a quite literal fall! You cad!"

"Well, what can I say? You heard my life-story, and still accepted me as a friend. I trust you, so I think I can be more 'myself' around you." Trey replied with a slight blush.

"Heh...likewise Gaowow." Jojo replied in kind. "Now, if you are ready to begin...?"

"After you."

"Now, yoga is about attaining peace and relaxation. The poses I will show you are very basic, and I'm sure you'll have no problem doing them, based on what I've seen you do in your classes. And if you end up enjoying this, I could show you some more advanced ones before I leave. Who knows, the increased flexibility might help you be able to better contort your body for those judo throws better!" Jojo said with a rather scholar like tone.

"Sounds good to me."

"Alright, this first pose is called the 'mountain pose.' For this, you simply stand straight, with your hands to your side." Jojo said as he demonstrated, Trey following suit. "Now, take a deep breath, and reach overhead with your palms facing each other."

Trey complied again, and the two held that position for about 30 seconds.

"Very good." Jojo said at last. "Now, on to the next one..."

After about 30 minutes of different poses, Trey pleaded exhaustion from his muscles stiffening from the unusual bending and stretching that he had just performed.

"A most astute learner, Gaowow. I can see why Mr. Gai and Hanny speak so highly of you." Jojo said rather impressed.

"Thanks, but I think it'll take my body some time to adjust to those new types of stretches, though." Trey replied cracking his neck.

"Ah, don't worry! Like with anything else you do, it will become much easier with practice. Now, by my watch, I believe it's time to eat."

"Yeah, me too."

The two boys walked back into the manor and made their way to the kitchen, where they both made a sandwich and grabbed some fruit. As they ate, they enjoyed some more small talk.

"Hey guys, how are both doing?" Gai said as he walked into the kitchen.

"Doin' good, Jojo just showed me some yoga that I can practice with."

"Yes, as I was just saying, Gaowow here is a very quick study." Jojo added.

"'Gaowow'...?" Gai said before bursting out with a hearty laugh.

"Yeah yeah, laugh it up!" Trey smirked. "I'll have you know, I happen to like the name he's given me."

"And it's very fitting for you." Gai said after he calmed down. "Glad to see you both getting along, so well."

"Thanks!" Both boys replied in unison.

Gai let out another light laugh at the display of the two youths. "Anyway, I need to go back into town for about an hour or so. You both will be alright while I'm away, right?"

"Sure Gai, we'll be fine. Jojo wanted me to show him how to play some Guilty Gear...so that's what we'll probably be doin'."

"Good. Won't be gone too long, just handling some business!" He turned to Jojo with a smile. "I'm trusting that you can keep blue boy out of trouble?"

"Hey!"

"No worries at all, sir! I shall keep Gaowow here in line." Jojo responded with a smile.

"Am I really that much trouble?" Trey pleaded with a playful look of defeat on his face.

"Well..." Jojo started.

"Quiet cat!" Trey said cutting him off with a grin.

"Alright, have fun boys." Gai smiled as he walked out of the kitchen.

"So, ready to go play?"

"Certainly." Jojo replied as he put his dishes into the sink.

The two of them then proceeded to the manor's main living room where the PlayStation was set up. It started with several one round matches so Jojo could find a character that he liked and wanted to try and learn how to play as fully. After a while he settled on choosing Venom as his character, making Trey laugh a little because the feline was completely unaware that Venom was the only Gay character in the game series.

The matches then went onto full three rounds, and in order to give Jojo a fair chance, Trey went with using Chipp, a character he had never used before. Despite him still having some superiority over him, Jojo was fairly quick to learn the controls and gave Trey a run for his money.

"Are you sure you've never played this before?" Trey asked as Jojo KO-ed him making the score Trey - 7, Jojo - 5.

"Not at all. Just applying some basics from other games I've played prior." Jojo grinned. "Worried about losing to a novice?"

"Hey, we've only just begun, don't be getting' cocky now!"

The matches continued for another hour or so, with the final score being Trey - 21, Jojo - 17.

"That was quite enjoyable." Jojo said putting his controller away.

"Yeah, it was." Trey replied somewhat somberly.

"Is everything alright?"

"Yeah, it's just that... I finally make a friend I can trust, and only have a few days left to spend with him."

"Come now, Gaowow. Just because we won't be seeing much of each other does not mean we still won't be friends. We can still stay in touch." Jojo smiled.

"How do you figure?"

"Well, you do have a cellphone, correct?"

"Uh, yeah." Trey said reaching into his pocket and pulling out his Cell. "Gai bought it for me when I first moved in, although I haven't really used it yet."

The Persian quickly swiped the phone from Trey's hand and put his number in.

"There, now we can stay in touch, no matter where you may be!" Jojo said handing the phone back.

"You do know that it's like a sixteen hour time difference, right?" Trey said putting the phone back into his pocket. "Although I suppose it's not that big a deal. Just means that if you call or text me in the evening, it'll be morning for me. And vice-versa..."

"Exactly!"

"Well, it is good to see you two getting along so well." Said a familiar, low tone.

The boys turned to see Hanbei standing in the doorway smiling at them.

"Yes, Gaowow was showing me how to play that 'Gear game' you two love so much."

"'Gaowow?'" Hanbei said with a grin. "Very fitting..."

"Whatever, 'Hanny'!" Trey replied sticking his tongue out.

Hanbei let out a slight chuckle. "Anyway, I did not mean to interrupt. Jonathan, I have something to ask of you."

"Oh?" The Persian said raising an eyebrow.

"As you may recall in a previous conversation, there may be more opportunities presented to you as time goes on. And now, one has presented itself. There is a need for your skills in mathematics. A young friend of mine, who is around the same age as you, is taking AP Calculus this upcoming school year. Since I know that you will stand to be in that class with him? I would like to ask if you would be willing to tutor him in my absence. And of course, I would see to it that you would be reimbursed for your time, so that you could earn some spending money for yourself."

Jojo smiled wide. "I'd be delighted, Hanny. After all that you have done for me within this past year? I would have done it for free!"

"Thank you kindly." Hanbei replied with a smile. "I will be sure to give you the address, and as much information as possible to help you with your new 'charge', before I leave. I know this is on short notice, but I will need this to move quickly since the semester is starting soon."

"Again, it is no trouble at all." The Persian said still grinning.

"Aw, now why does HE get to meet your friends, whom you constantly compare me to, before I do?" Trey said with a pout.

"No worries, you shall meet them soon enough."

"I'm going to hold you to that."

The next few days were some of the best in Trey's life. With Hanbei gone most of the day, the two boys spent a lot of their remaining time together. Trey convinced Jojo to join him and Gai in their morning training. And in return, Jojo showed Trey more yoga poses for him to practice. Trey was deeply saddened when the day finally came for Jojo to leave.

"Are you sure you have everything Jonathan?" Gai asked, has he put the last of Jojo's bags into the car.

"Yes sir, that is that last of it."

"I can't believe you're leaving already..." Trey said.

"We've been over this already, Gaowow~! We will stay in touch, I promise you that."

"Thanks, Jojo." Trey replied, holding his hand out for a handshake.

Jojo took his hand and pulled Trey into a hug that made the Gaomon go into a deep blush. The fact that Hanbei and Gai were both watching made it all the more awkward for him.

"And I will see you on Friday, too." Jojo said to Hanbei, breaking his hug with the still blushing Gaomon.

"Yes, I will see you at about one o'clock."

They finished their good-byes, and then Gai left to take Jojo to his new residency.

The next few days had an odd pacing to them. Sometimes it seemed like they dragged on forever. But before long, the Day was upon them. Hanbei was off with his friend for one last go around, before they left that evening. Gai had just finished packing and Trey was playing some Soul Calibur in the living room. About an hour and a half later, Gai walked in to see his nephew still on the coach.

"Hanbei will be back soon, and we'll be leaving once he does. Are you SURE you have everything you're bringing with you? This may be your last chance to check!"

The lingering doubt laced within Gai's words accomplished their objective, as Trey stood up. "Let me go and check!"

As he ran down the hallway, he passed Hanbei walking in the door, and caught a glimpse of another, larger figure following behind him. He was in too much of a hurry to take full notice though.

"Now where did I leave my damn cellphone???" He thought has he sifted through his nightstand. "Maybe Gai's seen it...?"

He ran back out of his room to go ask his uncle.

"Hey Gai have you se..." He was immediately cut off when he ran into something big and heavy as he rounded the corner into the living room knocking him over. This was an even harder collision than with his uncle a few weeks ago. "Who...put a brick wall there?"

Trey looked up to see a towering figure standing in front of him. He got up and quickly gave a bow. "I'm so sorry about that!"

"It's cool." The man replied in a gruff tone.

Trey quickly gave the man a look over. Based on his body type and shell on his back, he must have been of the koopa species. Although he was by far the biggest Koopa he'd ever seen. The man had at least five inches on him, and must have outweighed him by over double his body weight. Not to mention the fact that it was all muscle on him, not an ounce of body fat to be seen. He was donned in a white tank top, a pair of pink sweat pants, and a pair of rosy-colored sunglasses that complimented his pink, bald head.

"And you are?" Trey asked.

"This, Trey," Hanbei quickly spoke up. "...is my best friend Roy Koopa."

"So ya must be da lil guy my boy here's been talkin' 'bout." Roy said with his gruff voice.

"Little guy? Well compared to you, apparently so! What brings you here?"

"Couldn't let y'all leave without sayin' goodbye to my mentor n my best pal!" He said looking over at Gai.

"Ooooooh! So YOU'RE the one Hanbei compares me to whenever I complain about something." Trey said giving Hanbei a smug grin, knowing full well he just threw him under the bus.

"Oh, so it's like DAT?!" Roy said locking Hanbei's neck with his tree trunk-like arm. "All da praise ya been givin' this kid, dat's all you can tell him 'bout me? I said it before, n I'mma gonna say it again! Ya cold, Bei-Bei!"

"And as I always say, Roy-dai? 'If I step on your toes, all you can say is ouch'!" Hanbei said with a smirk as he stomped on Roy's foot, causing the large Koopa to yelp in pain and release the wartortle.

Trey couldn't help but smile at the display. Despite being "grown" in every other facet, the two friends were acting like little kids on a playground. It was actually refreshing to see Hanbei in such an uncharacteristically happy mood.

"I hate to interrupt, but we do have a plane to catch." Gai said.

"Can't believe ya really leavin', Bei-Bei." Roy said somewhat glumly.

"None of that, Roy-dai. The time will seem to fly by in my absence. And correct me if I am wrong, but you have Sidney, now. You have not seen her in days since we began our 'farewell tour'. You should remedy that."

"Yeah, I get what ya sayin'. Still, ya been my best bud for YEARS, man. Dis the first time we aint gonna see each other in a long-ass time."

"...Indeed, it will. However-" Hanbei was interrupted mid-thought, as Roy lunged forward and gave the Wartortle a big hug.

"Dun ya worry 'bout me n da kid." Roy said with a toothy grin. "Ya got a plane to catch so ya dun got da time to be givin' me one ya lectures. I'll see ya when I see ya!"

Roy turned to Gai and gave a slight bow. "Same goes for ya too, Sensei."

Gai replied with a smirk and respectable bow of his own. And after a brief, yet lasting smile between the two friends, the large Koopa soon got into his trademark pink Hummer and headed back home.

After Roy left, the trio made sure all of their belongings were together and then loaded them, to Trey's surprise, into the limo when it arrived. They made it the airport around 8:00(PM), and finally boarded the plane at about 8:30. Again, to Trey's surprise, first class.

While the flight was definitely long, the plane ride itself was a blur to him. Trey slept the entirety of it with his headphones on, and didn't wake up until Hanbei elbowed him in his side.

Trey woke up somewhat disoriented from having slept over eleven hours. It was around midnight in Tokyo by the time he was fully conscious.

"Everything alright?" Gai asked. "You were tossing a lot in your sleep."

"...Just can't seem to shake off those...damn nightmares." Trey replied groggily.

"You will someday." Hanbei said reassuringly.

They disembarked from the plane and got their luggage with no issue. They left the airport in another limo, the surprise beginning to wear off for Trey, and made their way to the hotel where they would be staying for several days. All while Hanbei was set to meet with his relatives on his father's side.

Trey was taken back by all of the tall buildings and lights in Tokyo, as well as all of the people that were still active and roaming the streets at this time of night. After about twenty minutes, the limo arrived at their destination.

"...'Koopa Suites'?" He asked. "This is getting pretty expensive..."

"Yes," Hanbei started. "Roy's father is none other than Bowser Koopa. The very 'King,' as he calls it, of the Hotel Industry."

"Damn, he must be loaded!" Trey replied in astonishment.

"That is an understatement, my young friend."

They made their way inside to the huge lobby to check in. Much like the Kagami household, there were several statues, plants, and pictures that seemed to represent Japanese culture. Other than that, however, it looked much like any hotel lobby you'd find in the states.

"Y?koso! Watashi wa dono y? ni anata-tachi o tasukeru kamo shirenai?" The male Wargreymon desk clerk asked.

"Kagami Hanbei." The wartortle replied.

"And it begins..." Trey thought, knowing full well that he wouldn't be able to understand anyone for a while.

"Shi kagami ?, kangei. Anata wa, saij?kai no pentohausu ni narimasu!"

"Arigatou." Hanbei replied.

Gai bent over to whisper in his nephew's ear. "Translation: We will be staying in the penthouse suite during our stay here."

"Whoa, really?!" Trey said looking at his uncle in disbelief.

"Courtesy of Bowser Koopa, himself." Hanbei said handing both Trey and Gai a room key.
