THE POKEMON TRAINERS' CLUB

#11: The Inner Umbreon

Now that everybody was fully set in their routine, things had been going smoothly at Malcolm's house for the past three weeks. Pikachu and Charmander had taken quite nicely to their new free-roam suits, and were overjoyed to have more freedom around the house for everyday activities. Pikachu and Charmander remained in their new suits for three days of every week, the remaining four being spent in their tournament battle suits again for training to keep their skills sharp.

Pikachu found that his tournament suit's training carried over to being in his new free suit. With the added freedom of movement, Pikachu was even more agile than before. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing around on the seesaws and balance beams outside, but found it was also enjoyable to do something he hadn't been able to do in a very long time -- simply relax after a hard day of training and watch television. Charmander, too, enjoyed his freedom as well. Since he was so used to having cigars lit inside his mask all the time and his new prosthetic had no room for them internally, Charmander took up smoking them normally. Besides that, Charmander enjoyed working out in the gym, relaxing with Pikachu, and being an incorrigible troublemaker, his favorite target being the easily-annoyed Scyther.

Scyther took a month off from his random battles to dedicate to solid training, which he had been doing dutifully for the past three weeks. He now handled himself excellently in suit, just about as well as Pikachu and Charmander did in theirs; it helped immensely that he was in excellent shape from previously doing random battles in his own suit. After the initial getting used to his far more restrictive suit, everything else came to Scyther very easily. The hardest thing for Scyther to learn was to not talk -- while he still had the occasional slip-up (generally when he first woke up, was really tired, angry, frustrated, or was just distracted by something), he had gotten much, much better at remembering to not talk... except for the times when Charmander purposely attempted to screw Scyther up, which succeeded for the most part. The most recent example of this was two days ago, while Scyther was in the middle of training. As soon as Malcolm left the room to get something, Charmander trotted in, finding Scyther busy running on the treadmill.

"Hey there, Scyther, training hard?" Charmander asked. Scyther, who was distracted, tried to respond with a simple "yep!" without another thought, only to find himself getting shocked, doubling over in pain, and getting thrown off the treadmill to Charmander's endless amusement. (Needless to say, Malcolm couldn't understand what happened when he returned and Charmander was gone, Malcolm finding only the whimpering Scyther on the ground...)

This particular day, though, was the day everyone was looking forward to going to visit Kyosuke and Umbreon, who were spending the next week or so in the U.S., vacationing. Since they were going out, Malcolm and Paul put Pikachu and Charmander in their tournament suits, but with their new prosthetics that allow them to see, and also with their collars off so that they can socialize a bit better. Scyther was also left in his tournament suit to continue getting used to it, but Malcolm also left Scyther able to see and with his speech repressing collar off for the day -- both of which were a welcome relief to Scyther, who ran off to have some words with Charmander as soon as the collar was off!

Once the pokemon had settled down, the five piled into Malcolm's car, and set off to the resort where Kyosuke and Umbreon were staying. It was a huge (and apparently very, very expensive) resort about two hours away from Malcolm's house. Once they arrived and parked, they went in, finding the elevator's buttons only allowed them to ascend to the 5th floor, one shy of the penthouse. Paul, standing closest to the console, looked at it and scratched his head.

"There's no button for the penthouse. How do we get up there?"

"Hit that intercom button up there," Malcolm instructed. Paul looked again, noticing a small button near the functional buttons of the elevator (such as the fire alarm and door open and close buttons) labeled "Intercom." Paul pressed it, and a moment later, a speaker clicked on.

"Good morning!" Kyosuke's voice said through the speakers. "Is that you, Malcolm?"

"It is!" Malcolm answered. "Good morning to you, too!" As soon as Malcolm finished answering him, the elevator shook and slowly began to ascend.

"I have activated the elevator. I shall meet you at the door when you arrive!" Kyosuke said. With that, the speaker clicked off. As the elevator ascended, Malcolm leaned against the back wall of the elevator.

"Boy, we haven't seen Kyosuke in quite a while," Malcolm said.

"Don't you talk to him just about every day online?" Pikachu asked.

"Well, yes, but that's different. Besides, aren't you and Charmander looking forward to seeing Umbreon?" Pikachu nodded.

"Yeah. From what you told me about him, I can't wait to actually be able to see him!"

"It will be nice to see Kyosuke and Umbreon again, but I've always wanted to see this place's penthouse suite," Scyther said. "It's been given top reviews in both several travel magazines and websites online! It's supposed to be cover the entire roof of this place, with both inside and outside areas, and it's one of the largest penthouse suites in the country! It's supposed to be fully-furnished, with an outdoor patio and..."

"Maybe Malcolm should have left your collar on," Charmander commented, cutting Scyther off. Everybody laughed, and Scyther frowned.

When they arrived at the penthouse floor, they found the elevator opened directly into Kyosuke's room. It was no small wonder the elevator, to reach the penthouse, had to be activated either by a special key card or the current occupant of the suite. The glass windows of the front of the elevator before it opened offered them a view into Kyosuke's room: it was, as Scyther suggested, gigantic. At the moment, all they could see was a huge living room, an open door leading to a large bedroom, a kitchen area, and a glass door leading to an outdoor patio, complete with pool, and walk-through garden. The doors slid open, and Kyosuke, waiting nearby, walked up to meet them as the five piled out of the elevator, looking around.

"Kyosuke," Malcolm said as he bowed in greeting. Kyosuke chuckled, and offered a hand to shake.

"Malcolm," he replied simply, the two laughing as they shook hands and gave each other a friendly hug. "It is wonderful to see you all again, as usual! Please, please, come in and make yourselves at home. And do not mind Umbreon, he is enjoying this chance to relax," Kyosuke said as he nodded over at Umbreon, who was currently curled up in a ball and sound asleep in a large, comfortable-looking chair off in the corner by himself. Kyosuke led the others over to the couch, and everybody began to talk.

Kyosuke and the others talked about rather general topics -- how they'd been since they last saw each other, what sort of plans they had for the league tournaments this year, and about the league in general. Ten minutes or so of their talking was finally enough to wake Umbreon up. He yawned, stretched, and hopped down off his chair, walking over to join everybody else, hopping up next to Kyosuke on the couch. Malcolm, who had been watching Umbreon ever since he noticed him wake up, racked his brains, trying to figure out how on earth Umbreon's suit was so absolutely perfect. Unable to contain his curiosity any longer, Malcolm waited for a lull in the conversation.

"Say, Kyosuke," Malcolm said, "forgive my asking this, and if you don't want to tell me, I understand, but I just have to ask. Umbreon and his suit... how on earth does it look so real?!" he exclaimed. Paul and the pokemon nodded as well -- they, too, were rather curious now that Malcolm brought it up. Kyosuke chuckled slightly.

"Do you really want to know?" he asked, amused. He looked down at Umbreon, who looked back up at him. "What do you think, shall we tell them, Umbreon?" Umbreon nodded.

"Bree," he answered. It was definitely affirmative, but he didn't sound particularly enthusiastic.

"Very well then. Umbreon, stand up." Umbreon got to his feet, still standing on the couch, and Kyosuke first removed Umbreon's collar, setting it on the coffee table. With that, he searched through Umbreon's fur, finding a tiny (and absolutely invisible) zipper which he began to unzip. The zipper's seam stretched from the middle of the top of Umbreon's head all the way down to the base of his tail. Once it was fully open, Kyosuke pulled the suit down to Umbreon's paws, fully removing it to reveal inside... another umbreon?

The umbreon inside the suit appeared almost exactly like how his suit looked: he looked like a quadrupedal animal, covered head to toe in black fur with yellow rings on his ears, tail, forehead, upper arms, and upper thighs, long floppy ears, and a large fluffy tail. The only big difference between the real Umbreon and the suit was instead of the suit's huge, almond-shaped red eyes, Umbreon himself had normal human-shaped eyes, but colored differently: the whites of his eyes were blood red, and his irises were black, just like the suit's. Everyone was absolutely speechless for a full minute, until Paul finally spoke.

"What on earth?" he asked. "Is that a suit inside a suit or something?" Kyosuke shook his head.

"No. This is really me," Umbreon said, startling everybody -- his muzzle moved as he spoke, but it was no mask or prosthetic, and his voice even sounded like an umbreon's, even without the collar on. Kyosuke began to explain.

"Eight years ago, when Yamato here wanted to become a pokemon, he started off as an eevee. He wanted to be more than just a person in a suit, though. Even though he wanted to be a real, live pokemon, and while he felt strongly about becoming an eevee, he simply did not feel an eevee was the right one. But when he saw an umbreon, he knew... he knew that was the one. He battled as an eevee in a standard suit for a while, during which time I made the first umbreon suit he ever wore. While I spared no expense to make sure it was perfect, and he did battle happily in that for a short time, he did not just want to be in the best umbreon suit ever made... he wanted to be an umbreon. We started off pretty simply -- after some experiments with painting his body to resemble that of an umbreon, he received full-body tattooing to permanently make him look like one. While it made him happy for a time, it was simply not enough. He did not want to just look like an umbreon -- he wanted to be an umbreon. Thus, while we continued to participate in league tournaments, we had to search all over the world before we found doctors who would agree to do all of the things he had in mind. Facial reconstruction to give him the facial structure of an umbreon. Surgery to give him paws instead of hands and feet. Full-body limb shortening, skeletal and muscular reconstruction, and other types of controlled body alteration to make his body look like that of an animal, plus allow him to use the muscles in his ears and tail. Genetically modified and grown hair follicles, taken right from his own body, then re-implanted all over his body to give him his fur coat. Eye surgery to alter their colors permanently. And now, finally, Umbreon is as you see him before you: a real, live umbreon." Everyone was stunned as to the extent of Umbreon's transformation.

"It seems he certainly got his wish," Malcolm commented. "That's absolutely amazing. But why does he wear the suit over that?" he asked.

"League stipulations," Kyosuke answered simply. "All pokemon participating in league battles are required by the rules to be in a suit. Which, I suppose, is a good thing. Can you imagine the uproar Umbreon would have caused were anyone to find out that was not a suit? It was a shame to have to cover Umbreon up, though, which is why I made sure to put all my effort into making it as perfectly as I could to match him. For battle purposes, it worked out well in the end, since I was able to add some things to the suit, both aesthetic and practical, that Umbreon would not have been able to do himself, such as the holographic projectors in his eyes and glowing rings."

Paul and Charmander continued to stare at Umbreon, unable to think of anything to say. Scyther, also still staring at Umbreon, racked his brains in an attempt to think of any cases he had ever heard of dealing with anything even remotely like this, realizing he'd never heard of anything of this magnitude before. Malcolm and Pikachu, while they were also still starting at Umbreon, were doing so in awe. Umbreon, now nervous being under everybody's scrutiny, got nervous, walking behind Kyosuke's back. Kyosuke chuckled.

"Well, now that I have answered your question, Malcolm, would you and the others care to continue talking out on the patio? I believe you will find there is a great view on the benches out there." With that, everybody followed Kyosuke outside -- everybody, that is, except for Umbreon, who curled up in a ball near the arm of the couch, sighing. Pikachu, however, stopped just before going outside with the others, and instead walked back in, hopping up on the couch to sit next to Umbreon. Umbreon looked up to see who it was, laying back down again. The two sat in uncomfortable silence for a few minutes until Umbreon suddenly spoke, startling Pikachu.

"Was there something you needed, Pikachu?" he asked. Pikachu shook his head.

"No, not really. I just thought I'd stay in here with you. You know, to keep you company."

"That is nice of you, thank you, but you really do not have to. I am fine alone."

"Fine alone? You mean you don't get lonely?" Pikachu asked, a hint of pity in his voice. Umbreon sighed.

"I do. But you get used to it," he said. At that, Pikachu hugged Umbreon, surprising him slightly.

"Why should you have to get used to being lonely when you've got friends right here with you?" Pikachu asked. Umbreon was about to respond, but instead just smiled happily, laying his head back down -- this time on Pikachu's lap. Pikachu giggled, idly petting Umbreon's head. "You know, Umbreon, I think that was really brave of you, getting all of that done. That's incredible."

"Sometimes when you really want something, you just have to go for it." Pikachu nodded.

"I know how you feel. I really do love being a pikachu. It just feels right. But I bet it must have been great to actually be able to become an umbreon, huh?"

"It was. It really was. So why don't you do it, too?" Umbreon asked. Pikachu looked startled at the suggestion.

"What? Me? I couldn't do all that!"

"Why not?" Umbreon asked. "You said yourself that being a pikachu feels right, doesn't it?"

"Yes, but..." Pikachu was about to protest further, when he realized Umbreon was right. Pikachu paused, giving some serious thought to the matter. Would he really be happy as a pikachu?

"Say, Umbreon," Pikachu asked, "exactly how well does all that surgery work? You know, as far as it carrying over into your everyday life?"

"It works perfectly. While it may seem extreme..." Umbreon paused to think for a moment. "Well, I suppose it is extreme. But there are no side effects that I have encountered after several years like this. You retain full nerve sensitivity and muscle usage throughout your entire body, and you even gain some new control as well," Umbreon explained, wagging his tail and wiggling his ears slightly to demonstrate. "I will not lie to you though, Pikachu. It is a long and hard road to recovery, and it requires that you put in a lot of work and bear a lot of pain at first. Once you are fully adapted to your new body, however, it is the most amazing feeling you can ever imagine." Pikachu thought it over in his mind. He really loved being a pikachu, so much that it was to the point where when he was out of suit for maintenance, it felt strange. He found, however, the more he thought about it, the hornier it made him. Pikachu just grinned, continuing to softly pet Umbreon's head fur.

"So you can feel this?" Pikachu asked.

"That's right," Umbreon said. "Just as if you were running your paw through short hair." Pikachu moved his paws down, now petting Umbreon's side very softly, just barely touching his fur.

"And this?" he asked. Umbreon nodded affirmatively. Pikachu's paw wandered down once more to Umbreon's tailhole, using a single finger to trace it lightly. Umbreon yelped softly in surprise, and Pikachu giggled. "That too, I take it?" he asked sarcastically.

Umbreon grinned, rolling over on his back and exposing himself to Pikachu. Umbreon's underside also looked exactly like a real umbreon's, including a real working furry sheath, his dyed black cock already beginning to poke out as Pikachu pet him. Pikachu giggled, and continued to play with Umbreon, one paw lightly playing with his cock and sheath, the other softly massaging Umbreon's balls. It didn't take much of this for Umbreon to get fully erect; he was generally alone and didn't get to do much of anything other than training. He was finally able to relax, finally able to enjoy himself with someone else for once. Pikachu leaned over, nuzzling Umbreon's cock softly with his nose and lapping at it gently with his tongue. Umbreon shivered in pleasure, his tail wagging ever so slightly in delight. Pikachu now leaned fully over, taking Umbreon's erect member into his muzzle now, sucking at it gently as he tickled it with his tongue. Umbreon squirmed around, giggling at the sensation, and Pikachu used his paws to rub Umbreon's sides gently as he worked his cock in his mouth. Umbreon was happy to, for a change, not have to hold himself back at all; his body began to become tense as he felt himself drawing closer to orgasm. It didn't take much more of Pikachu's skillful tongue work to make Umbreon whine out loud, jerking slightly as all the muscles in his body fully tensed up as he exploded into Pikachu's muzzle, filling it with his seed. He sighed, whining softly and happily, now able to relax as Pikachu swallowed obediently, giggling as he sat back up. He rubbed Umbreon's belly, and smiled.

"Now wasn't that fun?" Pikachu asked with a giggle. Umbreon nodded, and stood up, turning to face Pikachu. He nuzzled Pikachu's cock, already hard from playing with Umbreon. Pikachu, surprised, giggled as Umbreon turned away from Pikachu, raising his tail and looking back at Pikachu, grinning. Pikachu chuckled; he knew an invitation when he saw one. He kneeled on the couch behind Umbreon, carefully sliding his cock into Umbreon's tailhole. Pikachu, too, was happy to be able to have some fun outside of training, working his cock in and out of Umbreon slowly and gently. Umbreon only knew what not to do when another pokemon was inside him to keep the other pokemon from being able to cum (and therefore win against him); now, he did everything he was trained not to do. He made sure to push back softly against Pikachu, occasionally and gently tightening his ass around Pikachu's cock. Pikachu, whose cock was now slick with pre-cum, moaned softly, quickening his pace as he pumped in and out of Umbreon a bit faster now. Umbreon giggled softly; he had to admit, this really was great when it wasn't about training or battles! Pikachu gripped Umbreon's sides tightly, moaning as he shot his load into Umbreon's tailhole, sighing happily as he pulled out one final time, his cock sticky with his own cum. Umbreon giggled, and Pikachu laid on his side, hugging Umbreon and nuzzling him affectionately.

While Pikachu and Umbreon were busy inside, the others were outside, sitting in the patio on benches surrounding the huge pool, talking.

"Kyosuke, are you and Umbreon were going to be battling at the Southwest US division tournament in two months?" Scyther asked. Kyosuke shook his head.

"We shall be there, but we are not battling."

"Really? How come?" Malcolm asked. "I thought you said you were going to be competing?"

"We are, but only in the pokemon show section of the tournament," Kyosuke explained. "You see, after what happened at the last tournament, I realized I should significantly relax Umbreon's fighting schedule for the sole reason of giving Umbreon plenty of time to rest and recuperate between tournaments. You two should also keep that in mind," Kyosuke said to Paul and Malcolm. "While battling in tournaments is fun and may not strain your pokemon initially, constant training and battling does take its toll eventually. Too much exertion in too short of a period can only be harmful for your pokemon."

"That makes sense," Paul said with a nod.

"You should have seen poor Umbreon. When we returned to our home in Japan after the previous tournament, he slept almost all day and night for two whole days. I felt so terrible that I pushed him so hard. It is because of that I have promised both myself and Umbreon that I will not force him past his limits anymore. While we will attend tournaments wherever and whenever we can, we will probably only battle at two or three a year from now on."

The five continued talking until they realized the sun was beginning to set. Malcolm stood up, checking his watch.

"Wow, it's gotten late fast. I guess we'd better get going, Kyosuke, it's still quite a drive back home."

"I understand, and thank you all so much for visiting. Will you be visiting again at all before we leave?" Kyosuke asked as they all made their way back inside.

"If we have some free time before you leave again, we'd love to!" As they walked inside, the five chuckled at what they saw -- Pikachu and Umbreon were still laying on the couch, the two sound asleep and snuggled up next to each other.

"That is adorable," Kyosuke said. "I'm amazed that Umbreon has really taken so well to Pikachu, he is usually not very social."

"That's Pikachu for you. Attention whore extraordinaire," he said with a snicker. "Hey, Pikachu, up and at 'em, it's time to get going!" Malcolm called out. Both Pikachu and Umbreon snapped awake, and Pikachu hopped down off the couch, running over to Malcolm. Umbreon also hopped down off the couch, walking over to see the others off.

"You are leaving?" Umbreon asked. Malcolm nodded.

"Don't worry, though. Kyosuke has already invited us back, and I'm sure we can make some time to see you two again before you leave!" Umbreon wagged his tail, smiling.

"That is good to hear," he said happily. "I wish you all a safe trip back, and I look forward to seeing you again!"
