#70 of Iron Dragon

Alice and Carly had a slight problem as they and their crews stood on the tarmac next to the starship. How in the hell were they going to get five tractor trailer trucks onto the ship? With the exception of the fabrication truck, the other trucks were currently empty. Marko had the fore thought to get everything out by the ship to make sure they would have enough room for everyone and thing.

"I don't think even Alice is good enough to get all of those trucks in there." Big Joe chuckled.

"I don't think there is enough room for four, let alone five." Jim said crossing his arms.

Marko rubbed his chin. "This is a great deal more cargo than I had anticipated."

"With the amount of time we will be gone, we cannot afford to leave anything behind. Two full race cars in each trailer and enough parts to rebuild the drive line three times over." Ron said as they stood in the cool fall air. It was quite simply an all or nothing affair.

"What about a second ship or two trips?" Carly asked. She had no idea if this could be done, but they were going to try.

Jenny looked at the trucks, then at Nodrog. "What if we stuck two of the trucks in a giant container? Nodrog could teleport the container to the other world."

Jim looked at Marko. "We could build a container fairly quick. Put our fuel truck and the fabrication truck in it."

Marko chuckled. "Don't you and Jenny think we should ask him first?"

"Do you think they would let me say no?" Nodrog said and laughed with Marko.

"I have to ask. Are you sure about covering both teams expenses for this trip?" Big Joe asked the bear of a man in a suit.

Carly, her team manager and the team owner also wanted to know the answer to that very question. Because it was going to be a very expensive ordeal for a single race.

Marko looked up at the ship. "I am one hundred percent sure. This is every child's dream to travel to other worlds. We are not stumbling out into space hoping we find other life. We have been invited to another world, and I don't care how much it coasts... I will make sure Alice and Carly can race on that far off world. Even if I have to pay for it out of my own pocket."

"You are not the least bit excited to go with them?" Roslyn asked with a smile.

"I cannot describe my excitement or my pride. I learned a great deal about the Amazon culture and cannot tell you how proud I am of Alice and Carly to have been given this chance." Marko said.

Carly leaned close to Alice. "Glad there is no pressure on us."

They both giggled. "I am approaching this as any other race. The venue might be very different, but the goal is still the same." Alice said with a smile as she looked up at the starship.

"Jim, Nodrog. I want the two of you to figure out how much mass you can safely transport. I want to bring some smaller support vehicles and the generator truck." Marko turned to address Joe and Carly.

"If either of you need anything, do not hesitate to ask." Marko handed each of them a card, with a direct line to his office on it.

With that, they parted ways to make final preparations. The Amazon world did not have seasons, so it was always warm and sunny. The race would be held in December this world's time. It was generally the off season for racing on half the worlds that would be attending, the other half would be during their normal race season.

Of the twenty eight racers Beatrice extended the invitation too, all twenty eight of them accepted. The total number of drivers would be thirty, a pair from fifteen different worlds. Thirty of the fastest women in the universe would compete on a scale no one had seen before. Or even knew if it could even be pulled off.

Despite the scale of the race Alice was going to be in, she still worked her normal shift. Today in fact, Jenny, Stacy and her were trying to figure out how in the hell the cradle went together. After Jenny went to the bathroom again. You were not going to hear a single complaint from her, if just going to the bathroom was the only effects of being pregnant she had.

Actually not having a period the last two months was a pretty good perk in Jenny's book. So far her first trimester was going smoothly, only getting morning sickness twice thus far. Once she was fairly certain she brought on herself, by eating her usual very spicy Asian food.

"That does not look right, at all... Maybe you should call Jim?" Stacy said from her cross-legged position on the floor with the directions in her hands. Her work clothes were even cute. Capri overalls and a light yellow t-shirt, with her trade mark chrome barrettes.

Alice lay back with a sigh and pulled her phone out. "Yeah I give up, this is harder than rebuilding a transmission... Hey Carrel is Jim around?"

"Of course he is Alice, what do you need?" Carrel asked and turned to look at Jim, who was already putting his shoes on.

"We need help putting this thing together." Alice said as she played with her hair while looking up at the ceiling.

"He is already getting his shoes on. How long have the three of you been at it?" Carrel asked as Jim walked over.

"Ummm two hours or so... Why?" Alice asked and sat up.

"No reason dear, I will send him over." Carrel said with smile and cleared her throat as she held out her hand.

Jim grumbled and pulled out a five and put it in her hand. He was of course all smiles as Jenny opened the apartment door. The young ladies had insisted on trying to do it themselves first, he and his wife just bet on how long they would try before calling him.

Jim adjusted his old lucky hat as he read over the directions and looked over what they had gotten done. It was a good effort, the problem was they got two parts mixed up and that threw the whole thing off. "Except for using the short ones, when you needed the long ones, you just about had it."

"At least we tried... Could you make sure everything is tight?" Alice asked.

"Of course." Jim said with a smile. He checked every nut and bolt; and with that job done they let him put together the small dresser with a changing table top.

Jim had gotten a little quiet as Alice and Stacy picked up the mess the boxes and packing materials made. "Are you okay?" Jenny asked.

Jim looked down at her and smiled. "Oh, yeah, I'm alright."

Jenny looked at the newly decorated room. He had done all of this before, except his daughter never lived long enough for him to build a room for a grandchild. "No matter what, you will always be the fix it man, and the dad I never had."

The two of them both teared up a little as they hugged each other. Alice and Stacy both smiled and let Jenny and Jim have a moment. Alice found it hard to keep a smile around Jim and Jenny sometimes. She knew them both so well, but to imagine what they had to go through... She couldn't do it.

With the two arguments Alice saw between Jenny and her father, to know how abused Jenny was. Alice did not know how Jenny managed to get up every day and live in that hell. The only reason Alice could think of that enabled Jenny to stand her ground now, was Nodrog. In some ways he was a saint in his devotion to protecting them... a rabid, razor fanged, flesh eating, dragon of a saint. Jenny's nightmare was over because the darkest of nightmares was her keeper.

Alice knew with the death of Jenny's father, her little kitten could finally be free. Jenny would no longer be looking over her shoulder, or worrying about what he will think. Now Jenny was like Stacy, the last of her past was gone and could be forgotten. They had been a little concerned about Jenny traveling to the Amazon world to watch the race. She would actually travel with Roslyn by way of shadow. The Elves and Velopians have been using that method of travel for damn near forever, with no ill effects to expecting mothers. Stacy would also be with them, because that freed up that many places on the ship for Carly to bring people with her.

Since Marko was sponsoring Alice and Carly essentially, he would have a box up in the main grandstands with most of the track visible. There was room for twenty people in the box. Since Tabbatha did not want to go, Roslyn took her spot. Leaving sixteen people Alice and Carly could bring with them. With her own father sitting on the tool box with Katie and Little Joe; her mom, Jim, Carrel, Jenny and Stacy would be up in the box.

Nodrog was actually going to be the jack and fuel man on her team. That was part of the preparation work the Viper needed. It needed to be fit with a different fuel filling door and the air hose that supplied air to the four air jacks installed on the car. He would hold a device with the hoses attached to it, press and hold it tight against the car and squeeze the triggers. One for fuel and one for the air. It could completely fill the car full of fuel in four seconds, because it sucked the air out of the fuel tank as it pumped fuel in.

The twins would change out the front tires on the car. Wes and Tim would change the larger and heavier rear tires. The twins had no trouble with the smaller wheels and tires the Lotus runs, but the Viper has massive rear tires. Little Joe would monitor the car from a computer, Ron and Little Joe could also jump down and make physical adjustments to the car if needed.

Katie would actually change out the cold water bottle and clean the windshield, if and when it needed it. She would also make any repairs to the body work, if Alice or the other drivers got a little rough. Big Joe, was a little like Tabbatha and just not keen on traveling to other worlds. So he would stay behind to keep things running at the shop, and watch their daughter.

They had scheduled an entire day to practice pit stops, since Nodrog was new to the whole thing. However like everything they had taught him, mastery came quickly. Nodrog's signal to lower the car would be DJ crossing back over to the pit wall side. The only reason she had to, was to keep Alice from running over the air hose that powered her gun. Which was the same reason Wes would have to wait until Alice had come to a stop in the pit box. Not only to keep from damaging the hose, but to keep the hose from getting caught on something under the car.

"How did practice go?" Roslyn asked as she cooked her dinner. Surprisingly that was still odd, not having to cook extra for him to eat. Not that she would have minded, since Roslyn did like to cook.

"It went well... though I think I might have annoyed a couple with how quickly I picked it up." Nodrog said as he pulled a beer out of the fridge.

"Oh well. With every passing day I hear more and more buzz about it. They even had a short little blurb about it during sports news." Roslyn said and smiled as he gave her a kiss as he passed by.

"Alice had mentioned Carly and her had an interview with someone about it later in the week." Nodrog said as he picked up the TV remote to turn it to the news.

"I cannot imagine how excited the two of them are... Did they ever get the things for the baby put together?" Roslyn asked as she dished up her supper.

"They had to get Jim to give them a hand. He said they made a solid try." Nodrog said. Roslyn always ate every meal at the small table she had, she only let him eat out in the living room because his dinner never made a mess. If he wanted blood, it either had to come from the source, or he could drink the bottles in the kitchen.

That was the only thing Roslyn just could not get used to. She, like Alice had caught sight of the dragon feeding on Jenny. Those fangs sinking into the girl's tender skin made her skin crawl in ways few things ever had. Making it more unnerving was the slightly blank eyed expression and soft moans of pleasure Jenny had when he drank her blood.

Roslyn knew he would not be taking any of her blood while she was pregnant. Neither Jenny or him had said anything about it, but she came home and found several large bottles of it in the small fridge he had. That was the same day she had heard the good news from the excited pair.

The thought had crossed her own mind, what it felt like... Not just the physical part of him drinking her blood, but the emotional and physiological part of being so connected on such a level. However as ballsy as Roslyn was, offering her own neck as a treat was not something she was going to jump up and do. She had lost enough blood in her life, and wanted to keep the rest of it on the inside.

"Are you excited to be a part of her team?" Roslyn asked as she opened a bottle of tea.

"I am looking forward to it. I was surprised how many people are not interested in going to another world." Nodrog said.

Roslyn gave her spoon a thoughtful lick. "I sure as hell don't understand it. After madness and the change, people were afraid. Few ventured far from their homes for decades. It has only been recently that travel has really picked up. Minus those few of us who throw caution to the wind."

"How many countries have you been too?" Nodrog asked as the news anchors yapped about something.

"Damn near all of them. Been to every continent and major region of the world. Even been to both poles when I was in the military. And thanks to you I have already been to several other worlds." Roslyn said with a smile. She loved traveling and now could go anywhere she damn well wanted too. Actually she had made plans to visit Dallarth before the race.

"Perhaps things are just progressing to quickly for some. Before Alice found me, the vast majority of the universe was unknown to you humans. Still, some of you have always managed to weather change better than others." Nodrog said.

"Luck has been known to favor the bold." Roslyn said as she put her dishes in the sink.

"That seems especially true here on earth." Nodrog was surprised as Roslyn yanked the news paper out of his hand flinging it into the air. "I was reading that."

Roslyn sat on his lap and kissed him as the pages floated to the ground around them, making a mess. "Don't care."

Nodrog smiled as he pulled her closer. "Want something?"

"I do, and you happen to have it." Roslyn smiled.

"The TV remote?" Nodrog asked and laughed at the electric shock she gave him. He curled his fingers so his finger tips rested against her sides, Roslyn was even more ticklish than Jenny. A fact the dragon loved to exploit in certain situations.

"Don't you dare..." Roslyn said as she tensed up. She managed to push away just as that playful smile spread across his face. Her tank top and shorts offering little protection.

Nodrog managed to grab hold of Roslyn's short tail with his own. A slight squeal and laugh came from Roslyn as tickled her sides anyways. She tried to fight to get away but they were now laying on the floor and Nodrog's left hand moved down her side and into her shorts.

"Oh you cheating..." Roslyn moaned as he quit tickling and moved to teasing.

"No complaining, you started it." Nodrog whispered in her ear before kissing her neck. His finger easily slipping inside her, subduing her even more.

Roslyn reached back and put a hand on his neck pulling them closer as she adjusted her left leg so he could please her more. Sometimes he let her be the aggressor and sometimes she had no choice but to submit to him. It was that little power play between them that made it more intense, in every sense of the word. Even when she was not in the mood at the start of it, she was never unsatisfied when they were finished.

Roslyn looked into those playful cobalt eyes as he pulled off her shorts and smiled wickedly before going down on her. His expertise in eating a girl out was always mind blowing, more for the reach of his tongue then the spark that came with it.

She put an arm across her face as she lay on the floor panting from her fist climax. "Has anyone told you how good you are at that? Cause it blows me away every time."

Nodrog only chuckled as he picked her up to continue in the bedroom. He snagged her shorts with his tail before turning to head to the bedroom. "Not necessarily with words..."

Roslyn pulled her top off and eyed him with lust as he removed his shorts. No matter how many times she got to admire his form, she would always think herself as lucky. Her own sex drive seemed to have grown after her transformation, either because of her more youthful vigor, or because Valkyrie were just more sexual. As he pushed his entire length into her, Roslyn didn't give a damn why. Sex was sex, but sex with the Iron Dragon was euphoric.

It was also messy as he pulled out of her and smiled before pressing his cum covered prick against her tight butt hole. Roslyn sighed as he slowly pushed inside of her a second time. His fiery breath teased her breasts as the second round was a little slower and sensual. A fire slowly spread inside of her as his magic crept into her and brought another wave and level of pleasure with it.

Roslyn took a shower after their tryst on the bed. The dragon's thick cum slowly running down her legs from both of her holes. Jenny had gotten her to enjoy sex with women and Nodrog had gotten her to enjoy anal sex, both of which had been things she was stead fast against.

It might be the way they did it, or that their personalities made it easier to be open to the idea in the first place. It probably didn't matter, but was one of those odd things you think about late at night or with cum dripping down your leg. Roslyn wasn't really sure, and really didn't care anymore.

As she watched Nodrog pick up the news paper pages. She did not have the sometimes violent jealousy Valkyrie had to anyone who got close to their mate. Roslyn did not mind that he loved Jenny and Alice, or even still would take them to bed. What actually bothered Roslyn about it was not the lack of caring, but that she did not know why. Whatever the reason, Roslyn was happy with the way things turned out.

Chapter.

Today was a day Alice and Carly had mixed emotions about. They were sitting in a makeup room at one of the TV studios. Both of them had given interviews before, but not at an actual station without their friends and crew handy. Add in the live studio audience and they were understandably a little nervous.

They had the same number of wins and Carly managed to sneak past Alice and take a victory over her friend in the last race of the season. Which did a great deal to boost Carly's confidence before the off world race. It also showed that Alice could be beaten if the person had enough skill and a little luck.

This year marked a high point in their careers, in that each had more victories than any three of their closest competitors. Alice had spent more time racing this year than she had in many years past. It was the first year her car had more track miles on it then street miles. And now the Viper was set up only for track use.

They walked out onto the stage and got damn near a standing ovation. Taking their seats next to the sports anchors, they smiled and waved. What made this a little easier, was they had talked with these guys before from the track or pit stalls before or after a race.

"What strikes you both as the hardest part of this upcoming event?" The sports guy asked.

"Just getting our equipment to the track. I thought getting ready to race in another country was hard, but so much more planning is going into this." Carly said calmly. The first few questions were easy and after they got into their normal interview mode, it was easy.

"I agree. The logistics are the hardest part, because if we forget anything. We will just have to do without." Alice said.

"What about from a competition stand point?" A different man asked.

"That is the second hardest part. We are going up against some incredibly talented drivers. All of us want to win, that's a give in. But no one has attempted this before at least that puts us on equal footing." Alice said.

"All we can do is our best. Win or lose it will be an experience of a life time. I am thrilled just to be going." Carly said.

"Alright, more with Alice and Carly after this break." The third guy said.

They did talk over the break and the rest of the interview went smoothly. The two of them signed several more autographs for the people in the studio audience before they managed to escape.

"That wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Course having you with me helped." Carly said as they exited the building.

"Funny, I was thinking the same thing." Alice said with a smile.

"Everything go okay?" Nodrog asked as they got into Jenny's hummer. Jenny was currently down town at Winston's club, for their practice today. The interview was the only thing Carly had to go to today, which was a nice change.

"It went smoothly, it really felt like people are excited for us." Carly said as they headed down to the club.

"There was a lot of energy in the crowd and everyone wished us luck." Alice said.

"Any word on if Mike will make it or not?" Nodrog asked as he pulled the big, wide SUV into the only spot it would likely fit in, on the hole block.

"He should already be here." Carly said as they got out and walked down the street to the club. She was surprised to find there was already a line. "Or he might be in line..."

"Hey Cid." Nodrog said as they walked up to the door.

"Hey. Alice your little cat came out and got everyone she was waiting for." Cid said as he moved the rope so they could enter.

"Thanks." Alice said with a smile.

Mike and her parents were sitting with Jenny. Her kitten had a Shirley Temple since she was not supposed to have alcohol. This morning had been the worst morning of her pregnancy thus far. Jenny couldn't keep anything down until lunch. "Feeling any better?" Alice asked as she gave Jenny a kiss on the cheek.

"Yeah, lunch has stayed where it is supposed to. How did your interview go?" Jenny asked.

"That's what I wanted to know as well." Mike said as Carly sat next to him.

"It went well. People really are excited about it." Carly said and paused mid reach for a chicken strip.

"Go ahead." Jenny smiled and pushed the plate closer to the middle of the table. Anymore and she would probably get sick again.

Alice snagged a couple pieces of celery off the plate. "Have to admit, I am starting to get excited about it now as well."

"I am looking forward to traveling to the Amazon's world and taking in some of their culture." Lucy said

"Unfortunately we will have to stay at the track. Even Nodrog will be limited in where he can go." Ron said.

"That and they have not yet figured out how to convert our money to the Amazon currency, so we will not be able to buy anything unless Nodrog gives us some of his gold." Jenny said.

"How are we going to get anywhere without cab or bus fair?" Carly asked.

Jenny sipped at her drink, at least it was helping keep her food down. "They are assigning a guide for us, who will also drive us around. Roslyn was going to get us an itinerary this week or next."

"I thought she was a normal pilot." Ron said.

"She is. Nodrog taught her how to travel by magical means... So she could do some soul searching. You will have to ask her about it." Jenny said cautiously. The collar's power was greatly diminished while she was pregnant, but Jenny was still limited on what she told people about certain things.

"I am more curious about what the other cars are going to look like." Ron said.

"Yeah, that has been on my mind as well." Carly said.

"Well aerodynamics will work the same no matter what. So from that standpoint, I doubt they will be too wild in appearance. I think the biggest difference will be in the engine and driveline." Alice said.

Jenny only smiled since she knew what the everyday car looked like on the Amazon world. She couldn't say anything about it, but that didn't matter. Really Jenny was excited that Alice and Carly were getting the chance to go show everyone how good they were. It would be a more enjoyable evening if she felt better, but it was still nice.

While the rest of the world seemed to get more caught up in the excitement of the upcoming race. Alice was still firmly grounded and focused. Meetings, doctor appointments with Jenny, normal work routine. Alice still had a life outside of racing as some people seemed to forget. October passed and so did November, without incident and thankfully with Jenny feeling better.

"What are you doing?" Alice asked as she sat on the edge of their bed. Jenny was developing a noticeable belly, now in her second trimester. She never understood the whole pregnant and barefoot thing... Jenny was always pretty.

"Looking for stretch marks..." Jenny said as she turned and twisted to look in the mirror.

"You aren't that far along yet. Hurry up and come to bed." Alice said.

Jenny sighed and turned off the bathroom light. "You know, they told us all about this in school, but parts of it suck a great deal more than they said it would."

"I think you are doing just fine, in fact I am sure you are doing better than I would be." Alice said.

"Thanks, I am still nervous about it. I know how all of this works." Jenny said as she gestured to her growing abdomen after pulling on her night shirt. "But part of me is in awe of the fact that at this moment. I am creating life inside of me."

"I am in awe of how much money my parents have spent on a baby stuff. We must have enough diapers to get us through two babies." Alice said.

"They are just happy for us, and that won't be near enough for a year. I just wish..." Jenny laid down without finishing what she was going to say. It was still too hard.

Alice turned off her light and snuggled up to Jenny. "I am sure where ever they are, your grandparents are happy for us as well. I wish they were still here too."

"Do you think Carly's dad is going to give your dad the twenty for getting a grand baby first?" Jenny asked trying to push away the unhappy thoughts.

Alice giggled. "I am sure he will."

A light snow fell from the sky as Little Joe pulled the semi truck to a stop with the other trucks near the starship. Alice had gone to the shop with a van to pick everyone up and bring them out here. It was twenty three out at the moment and in a couple days they would be standing on a world light years away with an average temperature of eighty two.

The starship itself was an elegant piece of engineering, everything had a purpose and like the Viper in the trailer. It was also sinister looking as well as elegant. Little Joe doubted it would contain the twins' excitement as they gathered up their bags to board. He could hardly blame them considering the trip they were all about to take.

Quarters on the ship would be tight, but it was not designed to carry two full race teams and support staff. Another reason why Jenny, Roslyn and Stacy were traveling to the Amazon world by magic. Jim and those with the fuel and fabrication truck would actually travel with the other equipment. A few volunteered to wait and travel that way to free up a little more room on the ship. Because while magic was still a stretch for most to believe, a few trusted it more than technology and physics they did not remotely understand.

Alice took them to their rooms for the trip while Jim and Kenny loaded up everything. Kenny was disappointed he could not take his boys, but maybe once they were older. It took most of the day to get things loaded and triple checked that they had everything needed.

Jim, Kenny and Nodrog watched as the starship slowly pulled itself into the air for its voyage to the distant world. They had modified a cargo plane to use as the container for the other equipment. Which mainly entailed removing the wings and tail section, and adding four grab handles on the fuselage. With the crew compartment left intact, it gave them a place to ride along for the instant trip.

A few of the race crew and family sort of remained dignified. The twins and a handful of others had their faces pressed up against the glass of the observation deck as the world shrank below them. The ship was well equipped, but was not luxurious by any stretch. It was primarily a light cargo ship to fairy things to and from Mars. It had made this trip once before just to make sure everything worked.

Before they could make the jump, everyone had to be seated. As the ship's drive system used colossal amounts of power to bend space and hop to its destination. Unlike teleportation which just instantly put you there. The effect of the drive system can cause something like motion sickness, or cause a person to faint. Being seated lessened both side effects.

They watched as the stars outside the ship flattened out and stretched as the drive warped space linking its current position to that of a point light years away. Then the ship shuddered before the stars seemed to explode. The view out the glass was entirely different then it had been seconds ago. Thanks to the medical staff on hand, those who did not handle the jump well, were taken care of.

After everyone recovered Marko walked to the glass, shortly followed by everyone in the observation room. They were now near a large space station in the Amazon's home star system. Before them lay a system of worlds and a star they could not see from earth. And it was simply breath taking.

It was several minutes before anyone said anything in the observation deck. The crew had checked in with the station and was given permission to head for the world. Thanks to a Velopian translator that was living on earth to aid in getting the crew trained for travel like this.

The human ship traveled at half the speed the Velopian cutter could so it was a two day voyage to the planet from the space station. With the exception of the crew, Marko and Alice, there really was not any quiet anticipation to be found on board.

"How can you not be excited Alice? I mean we are on a different world." TJ exclaimed as they stood in the cargo hold waiting for the ship to equalize the internal pressure with the external.

"Well, truth be told, this is not the first time I have been to a different world." Alice shrugged.

"Is there something you have not told us?" Lucy asked.

"A few things." Alice said with a smile. With the pressure equalized the large loading doors opened.

To most of their surprise, Nodrog had already teleported the container and equipment here. The large dull iron dragon was standing next to the modified aircraft. He was not the only one as two of the other races did not have starships at all. A few dragons had been kind enough to bring them and their equipment to the world. Making the space port equal parts high tech industrial and straight out fantasy.

As they walked down the ramps they were greeted by several tall Amazon women. And a fair amount of humidity from the tropical climate of the world. They had made hundreds of the translators and that was the first order of business along with welcoming the humans to their world. Second order of business was to air up all the tires on the trucks. The world had a slightly higher atmospheric air pressure, which made the tires slightly under inflated. With the greater air pressure and higher oxygen level, everyone felt great.

The race track was on the out skirts of the capital city. With everything ready to go, they all got in a van or truck and with a police escort headed out to the facility. They and four other race teams convoyed to the facility and it was nearly like a parade. Many people lined the streets they traveled. It was at that point it really sunk in that this was a world entirely of women as there were very few adult males in the crowds.

Those with Alice were surprised by the fact this city could have been any place back home. Everything was a little bigger given the Amazon's taller height. Which meant even Nodrog, Little Joe, Katie and Marko had plenty of leg room even if they sat in the very back of the van. The twins and Alice's feet didn't reach the floor boards.

As they got on a highway to leave the city behind they got their first glimpse of the race facility. Massive was the first word that came to mind, the second being gigantic. While some of them knew the track length and elevation others did not. The Amazon driving them explained that the race track itself was eighteen miles in length and had over seven hundred feet of elevation change from its highest to lowest point. The main grand stands held thirty thousand fans with additional seating along various points of the track for another forty thousand.

Alice and Carly had an Amazon guide, one for each team. The women had familiarized themselves with the human's language. The other guides did the same for the language of the race they were helping. Along with the conversions to help with measurements, weight, and time. The guides were women who could either tolerate men or simply accepted the different cultures easily. They were also all shorter Amazons with a less intimidating build.

There were more males present out at the race facility. They were tasked mainly with getting everyone in their pits and garages, keeping the facility clean and being of assistance whenever possible. It was the last day of the Amazon weekend, so after trucks were parked they piled back into vans for the short ride back to town. No team would be allowed to get a jump start on practicing or working on their cars. Those who arrived early simply had a little more time to take in sights if they wanted or to just relax before getting started on the second day of the work week.

Roslyn got them the itinerary and Marko had wanted to arrive a day earlier so they could have a chance to take in some culture. The Amazon's would allow the males to travel with the females and had planned on a little sightseeing before the preparations for the race began. Marko had Roslyn request and make arrangements for them to do a little sightseeing beforehand. While they were a civilization of warriors, polite and courteous requests were appreciated and generally granted.

An entire hotel had to be acquired to house the racers and their teams for the event. Having several different races to feed required careful planning, but if anyone went hungry that was purely their own fault. Because there was plenty of food to eat and was available anytime they wanted it.

Rooms would still have to be shared, simply because of the sheer number of people. Given the Amazons' physical size along with other races that visited frequently the beds were quite large. Alice and the twins could share a bed comfortably. Katie would have the second bed in the room, with one of the twins sharing it. The twins and Alice found the height of the toilet as amusing as Jenny had during her overnight visit.

Jenny would only stay for the race before Roslyn took her back home depending on how she felt. They had planned on Jenny not staying longer, but if she felt like it there was room. Nodrog would share a room with Wes, Tim and little Joe. Not that Nodrog had need of a bed, but it did give him a place to keep his clothes. Ron and Lucy had a room with Jim and Carrel.

Kitty and Catlin would share a room with Marko. They were a little unsure about it, because he always had a room to himself. It had nothing to do with him being a man, and a rather handsome one at that. He was their boss, and while they were paid to protect him, they had never spent this much time with him before. They greatly disliked anyone thinking they only had their positions because they slept with him.

With the rooms figured out and their stuff safely in them, they headed down in mass to the very large buffet the hotel had. They met some of the other drivers and their crew, and talked racing of course. Light years of separation and vast cultural differences were mostly ignored because they all shared the same passion.

The Amazons were fantastic hosts for the historic event and it seemed had spared no expense to be the host. It was quite impressive considering the wide variation of beings present. While a few kept to themselves most were rather open. The Velopians and the brightly colored salamander anthro race of Salak thought of everyone as friends.

"That was overwhelming." Kitty said. She was glad to be out of the crowded buffet.

"And that was just lunch." Marko chuckled as they headed out to the lobby to catch a ride to do their sightseeing.

"At least there are people shorter than us." TJ said. The two of them were short even compared to the rest of the humans here. To the Amazons they must be small children or pets.

"So did anyone else notice how tall the bathroom fixtures are, or was it just me?" Carly asked.

"We got a good laugh about that. Our feet don't touch the ground." DJ said with a big smile.

"At least you don't need step stools like some of them do." Katie said. As tall as she was, she felt right at home on the world of women warriors. The cultural differences were not as great as she was expecting. Maybe because while earth still thought of both sexes as equal, the women outnumbered the men.

Their guides took them to a museum and the Palace, and a few other places of interest. The capital cities' sprawling school campuses were interesting since they had no college as such. Kindergarten through college was all on one campus. The older students helping the younger students throughout the course of their studies. Actually assisting younger students was part of the older students grades. Because no matter a girl's age or grade level, they all had the same classes when it came to all matters of war and fighting. It was a point of pride their guide explained for a young adult woman to teach the younger girls.

Friendly competition was encouraged in all areas along with respecting those around you. Their tour of one of the campuses was one of the places that made the warrior culture perfectly clear. It was engrained in every child from a very early age along with taking pride in everything they did. And they had competitions for nearly everything.

While several of them found the culture fascinating, some of them were itching to get started on the thing that brought them to the world in the first place. The race, and now on world Alice and Carly were getting antsy with anticipation to get behind the wheel.
