This is my FIRST story so any feedback on how to make it better or any comments PLEASE email me with anything at [email protected] Working at the hospital doesn't give me much time to think so I just wrote this during my breaks.

"I want your report at the end of the school year" Mr. Wong said as the bell rang.
We all let out a moan as we grabbed our bags and backpacks and headed for the door.
"Why are they killing us with all these reports?" I said walking down the hall.
"Hey Arn, wait up."
I turned around to see Chris jogging towards me.
"What're going to do when you get home?"
"I'm going to drink heavily and watch porn till I can't stand it anymore."
"Don't let them get to you. We only have a week of school left."
"Nothing gets to me" I said opening the double doors leading outside.
"Hey, how about coming over my house later? You can help me start my network over the internet?"
"Sure why not."
"Great. I'll catch you later then" Chris said jumping into his car and taking off.
I walked down the street cutting through the woods to my grandmother's house. Opening the door, I tossed my bag down and flopped on the couch. My name is Arngrim Ultimus. Most people call me Arn or Ultimus. I'm 22 years old and live alone. My parents left me when I was still little and my grandmother who I lived with died when I was 18. Looking at the clock, it was only 3:15. Man this day was going by so slow.
"I guess I'll take a quick nap."
Closing my eyes, I drifted off to sleep. I woke up to a loud bang and lots of yelling.
"Those people next door are always arguing."
I turned around to look at the clock which read 7:20. I got up and took a big stretch. Changing my clothes, I walked out the door and headed for Chris's house via the forest path which was quicker. As I was walking, I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being followed. Hearing a branch snap behind me, I turned around to see a squirrel run up a tree.
"I need to stop being so paranoid."
Turning back around, I saw 4 people in all black with hoods covering their faces.
"It's a little early for Halloween don't you think fellas?"
"Are you Arngrim Ultimus?" the tall one in the middle asked.
"Who wants to know?"
"Your father requests your presence."
That word struck a bad nerve.
"Humph, I don't have a father."
"He said you would deny it at first. But with a little convincing, you would see the light."
As he said that, he rushed me and knocked me into a tree making me see stars. I stood up wobbly and shook my head in time to see him charging me again. I managed to jump out the way as his impact shattered the tree.
"That's impossible to do. No human can do that. I must be dreaming" I said to myself as they stood in front of me again.
"Come along quietly so we don't have to beat you into submission like we want."
"Go to hell" I yelled and ran at them.
One of them held out its hand as web like thread flew from it. I covered my face and closed my eyes. When I opened them, I was tied between 2 trees in a spider like web. I tried to break free but it wasn't doing any good.
"Give up. Nobody escapes my "Energy Net"."
"Master Lucid, can we have some fun with him?"
"Sure. I'm sure the master doesn't mind a couple of bumps" Lucid the tall one said.
The one on the left came up to me first with a smile.
"I always heard that expression he's my right hand man. Let's see if I can change that "Burst Knuckle"."
His fist started to glow as he swung at my arm and shattered it from the elbow down. I yelled in pain and gritted my teeth.
"What's a grown man that doesn't cry?" the second one said walking up to me. "I always wanted to see a human bleed, so I made a little something for it to happen."
He took a couple of steps back as the winds picked up around and a black orb appeared in front of him getting bigger. When he thought it was big enough, he pushed it towards me. As it connected, I wanted to scream but instead of my voice coming out, I coughed up blood.
"Perfection. It looks like my "Gravity Blow" works."
He walked up and felt my chest area.
"Let's see 1, 3, 5 broken ribs and what seems to be internal bleeding. I guess I put too much in that."
They all started laughing as I was fading in and out of reality. The last one came up to finish me off I guess.
"Well bro, I hate to see you like this so I'll finish you in one blow."
He reached into thin air and pulled out a double-bladed sword. Just as he was about to deliver the final blow, we heard a voice shout something. The next thing I knew, I was cut free from the web and the guy's body was gushing blood because its head was missing. Using what strength I had left, I managed to pull myself against a tree as 3 more people appeared.
"Looks like me made it."
"Tasha, go see how Ultimus is doing, we'll handle this."
I was too weak and tired to do anything as she approached me and scanned me with some kind of device.
"He's got 5 broken ribs, broken right arm and internal bleeding. If we don't get him to Annabelle, he's not going to make it."
"All right, we'll finish this quickly."
"Damn you Freedom Fighters. You 2 kill them" Lucid said angrily.
They charged them as they started laughing.
"You guys need to relax and chill out, "Frozen Wind"."
The attackers stopped dead in their tracks encased in a huge block of ice.
"Not bad. I'll try a little ice sculpting" the other said walking up to the ice.
He put his hand on the handle of his sword and stood still. "Mirror Slice Strike". He cut through the ice so fast that it looked like his hand never left the handle of the sword. He hopped back as the ice started to fall apart in little bloody cubes.
"Cutting with precision as always huh Greywolf?"
"You know it Tiger" Greywolf said laughing.
"You may have won this round, but Ultimus will come to his father side" Lucid said jumping into a portal.
They ran over to me and Tasha.
"How is he?" Tiger asked.
"He's unconscious and losing a lot blood."
"Alright, take my comm watch and get him back. Me and Greywolf will make a sweep of the area."
"Okay."
She pressed a button and disappeared in a flash of blue light. I was having a great dream. My family and I were having a picnic in the park. It was going good until those same people in black appeared and killed both my mother and grandmother. They pinned me down to the ground as my father pulled out a sword and plunged it into my chest. I woke up suddenly but then regretted it as my body reacted to the pain of my quick movements. After catching my breath, I looked around to see I was cleaned up with a needle in my arm taking my vital signs. I pulled the needle out and got out of the bed slowly and put on my clothes which were right besides the bed.
"I don't know where I am and I don't want to find out either."
I got to the door and peeked out. All around humans and morphs were laughing and talking, even making out. When the coast was clear, I snuck out and hid in the darkness when I heard people coming.
"Where the hell is the exit at?" I said angrily.
Soon I heard a voice over a speakerphone.
"Attention personnel, Ultimus has disappeared. Please find him and bring him back to the Medlab with as little harm as possible."
"Dammit" I said angrily and raced out of my hiding spot.
"Look there he is" somebody said down the hall.
I raced down the hall taking corner after corner, not having a clue where I was going. As I rounded another corner, I connected heads with Greywolf sending us both to the ground.
"Who the hell's running in the hallway?" Greywolf said holding his head.
He looked at me as I was holding my ribs in pain because of the way I fell down. 2 other people saw me and rushed over. I pulled myself up against the wall holding my ribs.
"Ultimus what are you doing out here? Come on, let's get you back to the Medlab" Greywolf said slowly approaching me.
"I don't know you. Keep away from me" I said angrily.
"You can trust me, I'm your friend" he said moving even closer.
"Bullshit. I said keep back" I said yelling causing a strong force of power to push them back.
I held onto my ribs painfully as blood came out of my mouth.
"Calm down Ultimus, please. We are not here to hurt you" a voice said down the hall.
I turned to see who said that and there before me was a vision of beauty. She was a tall, slim white wolf with an hour glass figure. Her fur was pure white with ample breasts and a small black line that went from the tip of her nose to the back of her tail. She had gold finger nail polish on each of her claws to match her eyes. She was a sexy animal, so to say. I was dumbfounded for a moment and Greywolf took that chance to grab me from behind.
"Let me go" I said angrily.
"Relax, we're not going to hurt you" he said struggling to hold me.
"I said, LET ME GO."
I threw him off me with power I never knew I had as he hit the wall.
"Stay away from me" I said glowing a crimson red.
"Please Ultimus listen to me. We are here to help to you" Tasha said.
I held my hand out towards her as fierce hurricane like winds came forth and knocked her into the wall taking her breath away.
"That's quite enough from you Arngrim."
That voice hit me like a brick wall. I turned back around and there before me was my mother.
"Mom....?" I managed to say before the pain hit me again and I passed out.
I woke up later in the same bed I left. I saw my mom and that killer wolf talking.
"You sure about this? I mean he might have somebody else?"
"I know he's the one for me. I do."
"All right. But to make sure, you have to train him so you can spend some time together.
"Yes maam" she said and gave me a quick glance before leaving.
My mom pulled up a chair and sat down.
"You still have a short temper."
I didn't answer her as I turned my head.
"Arngrim listen to me, I know nothing I say will make up for the 22 years but you have to listen to what I say."
"Why should I?"
"Because the world depends on you."
I looked at her with a give me a break look but she had a serious look in her eyes.
"Okay then, enlighten me on how I can save the world?"
"Your father is possessed by a demon of great power called Thanos. He needs 7 Power Stones to come back to life: Power, Space, Time, Chaos, Light, Reality, and Soul. We have the Soul and Power."
"Go ahead. This is interesting" I said with a smile.
"You have been embedded with the Light stone in your body which is why he's so hell bent on taking you."
I felt my chest as she continued.
"In order to revive him, he needs the Light stone and a sacrifice, which is you."
"Are you done?"
"Yes. That's about the sum of it."
"Excuse me while I laugh" I said laughing wildly. "You expect me to buy this shit?"
She gave me the meanest look as I stopped laughing.
"You are joking right?"
She was about to answer when a stunning dragoness walked in. I stared at her as she walked up to me.
"How are you today Ultimus?"
"Now that you're here, I'm better. Are you going to give me a physical?"
"Maybe" she said winking at me.
She started feeling my chest area. She couldn't help but smile when she smelt my arousal.
"This is a head nurse Annabelle."
She bowed her head a little and walked over to the computer.
"Anna, do we have a stone around here?"
"Yes maam we do."
"Bring it here and show it to my son."
She left the room and came back a couple minutes later with an orange stone. Bringing it closer, my chest started to react to it causing it to glow.
"Do you believe me now?"
"You did this to me?"
"I didn't do anything. You were giving this gift. You are the chosen one."
"I don't want this. Take this thing out of me" I said hitting my chest.
"Hear me out before you do anything rash. I have chosen you to be the leader of a group I created called the Freedom Fighters."
I sat up in the bed and found I was fully healed but naked again.
"Where are my clothes?"
"Right here" my mom said handing me my clothes. "Get dressed and I'll take you to meet everybody else."
As I was getting dressed, I couldn't help but notice Annabelle biting her nails and swallowing hard.
"Um, thanks for fixing me up."
"The pleasure was mine" she said winking at me again.
"She wants me" I said to myself leaving the room.
"This way" my mom said walking down the hall.
We walked until we got to the Conference room. We walked in as everybody was talking and joking around. My mom clapped her hands as everybody went quiet.
"Everybody, this is my son, Ultimus. He's our trump card for stopping the revival of Thanos.
"Welcome" everybody said.
I didn't pay any attention to them. Instead my eyes were glued on 2 people, the killer wolf and what appeared to be her twin sister.
"Have a seat" my mom said as she sat down. "Let's begin. That's Tiger and his brother Greywolf" she said pointing to a black wolf and a white wolf. "That beautiful brown wolf next to Tiger is Jenna, his mate."
As I heard that, I felt the door slam shut on my chances on getting her.
"The guy in the back with the glasses is Theft, our computer geek."
"Sup dude" he said with a smile giving the peace sign.
"You already meet Tasha. That mean looking dragon next to her is Venom and the black panther next to him is Crystal. He's my favorite."
They just looked at me which started to piss me off.
"He doesn't look like all that powerful" Crystal said.
"What a waste. Why couldn't it have chosen somebody better" Venom said disgusted.
"Look man, I didn't ask to be here so back off."
"Or what weakling? You'll go home crying?"
"Why don't you say that to my face" I said standing up.
"With pleasure" he said standing up also.
He easily towered over me but I didn't back down.
"All right you 2, calm down" my mom said.
"What for? He started this shit" I said not looking away.
Venom held his hand out as a small ball of light started to glow. With a flick of his wrist, he sent it flying towards me as it hit me sending me flying into the wall.
"Venom that was uncalled for" my mom said angrily.
"Which proves my point that he's not worthy of the Light stone."
I sat up holding my head as I felt a small trail of blood come down. Now I was pissed as I started to glow red again.
"Wow, his power level is rising so fast" Greywolf said shocked.
I stood up and looked at Venom with intent to kill. Opening my hand, a small ring appeared and grew bigger by the second. When it was just big enough, I tossed it at Venom as it wrapped around his body. I began to close my fist and it started to squeeze him.
"Ultimus stop, he's our partner" Tasha said getting up and running towards me.
I didn't listen as I began to close my hand tighter and everybody heard one of his ribs cracked as he let out a roar of pain.
"Ultimus please let him go" Tasha said again softly touching my arm.
Somehow, when she touched my arm, we connected. I managed to control my anger and release the hold I had on Venom as he went to one knee holding his side.
"Venom, are you okay?" Annabelle asked entering the room.
I stood there looking at my hands which were shaking.
"No, I don't want this. I don't want this" I said angrily.
"Ultimus you have to do this. The whole world needs our help" Tasha said.
I looked at her angrily and grabbed her by the throat.
"Look lady, the only help I need is to get away from you people."
This pissed her off as she grabbed my arm and strongly twisted my arm and held it behind my back.
"Now you listen to me. Whether you like it or not, we are here to help you and you help us. Either you agree to that fact or I'll rip your fucking arm off right now. Do you understand?" she said twisting it harder.
"Yes, I understand" I said whining a little.
She let go of my arm as I backed away from her.
"Now sit down."
I did what she said without hesitating.
"Tasha's our hand-to-hand specialist, as you just witnessed first hand" my mom said with a smile.
"Thanks for the warning" I said moving my sore arm.
"Get use to it because she'll be training you starting today."
"Training?"
"That's right. We need you in fighting form."
"If I have to train with her, I'm better off with those creatures I ran into."
Tasha gave on evil growl which scared me.
"It's either her or Venom."
He gave me the scariest look as he cracked his knuckles.
"I'll take Tasha."
"Wise choice. Now you 2 head over to the training room and get started. The rest of us will look for the next Power stone."
"Yes maam" they all said.
Tasha got up and headed for the door.
"Move it" she said harshly.
"I'm coming, don't rush me."
We walked down the hall a little ways to the Training room. Inside was huge as one side had weights galore and the other side had a huge sparring mat.
"All right lets begin. Show me what you got and we'll go from there" Tasha said taking a stance.
I never fought before, maybe once or twice but never against a skilled fighter. What the hell, you only live once. I charged her and threw everything I had into one punch. She lifted her hand and caught it with ease.
"You have to do better then that" she said with an evil grin.
That's when the pummeling began. After 2 minutes, I was on one knee with a busted lip and a little bit of blood coming down my right eye.
"You have a lot to learn in so little time. Come on, let's try it again."
As I stood up, something inside me took over my body. Looking up, I saw Tasha coming at me again. She swung her left hand which I grabbed with ease inches from my face. Shocking her, I started putting pressure on her hand.
"Ow, Ultimus, you're hurting me."
I let her go and gave her a swift kick knocking her across the room. She held her stomach as she went to her knees. I walked up to her glowing red and smiling.
"Ultimus don't let the dark side control you. Fight it."
I backhanded her to the ground and sat on her hips. Raising my fist, I was prepared to crush her skull, when her eyes made contact with mine. I shook my head and stood up.
"I'm sorry. I can't seem to control what happens to me."
"You'll learn in time don't worry. That's what we're here for. Give me a hand."
"Sure."
I reached down when she pulled me down and straddled my waist. She placed her hands besides my head and laughed.
"Never let your guard down silly" she said smiling.
I stared into her eyes again. I can't believe it. On top of me is probably one the hottest girl I ever seen besides my ex. Should I try and kiss her or act shy. I laughed mentally at that and cautiously pulled her closer to me. She accepted my move and laid chest to chest with me as I leaned up and kissed her.
"This can't be real. I'm laying here holding a smoking hot girl in my arms and making out."
She broke off and looked at me.
"So I take it we're on talking terms?" I said.
"Of course silly" she said smiling.
"Am I interrupting you 2?" Tiger said at the door.
We both got up kind of embarrassed.
"We found where the Power stone is. We got 2 days before your father finds it as well. Head down the hall, 3 doors to your right. Your mother's waiting for you in your room."
"Ok thanks" I said heading for the door.
Before I left, I looked back to see Tasha looking at me. She gave me a smile and a wink which made me blush a little. I gave a chuckle and headed to where my mother was. Walking in, she was sitting on a chair next to the bed. I jumped on the bed and laid down staring at the ceiling.
"Have you decided to accept what has happened?"
"No. This is still too much to handle."
"I understand. I know you'll understand sooner or later."
"What if I don't want too?"
"Then the world will cease to exist."
I shuddered a little at the thought.
"Well get some rest and let us know your decision tomorrow whether you'll help us or not. Either way, they will come after you and will not stop until they have that stone in your body" my mom said getting up.
I stared at her as she stopped at the door.
"I'm happy to see you again Arngrim."
My head was hurting as she left and the room was pitch black besides light coming from the window.
"What do I do? This is way too much for me too handle."
I got out the bed and went outside. Looking around, I asked somebody where a balcony or porch was. Walking out, I felt good as the wind blew through my hair.
"Why did this happen to me? What is this power she keeps talking about and why does it control me when I get angry?"
My head pounded again and I didn't have any aspirin. Soon I heard footsteps as I turned around and saw Crystal coming towards me.
"Come to give me more criticism?"
"No, I've come to talk."
I watched him as he stood next to me looking out towards the woods.
"You must understand that we only want to help you."
"You have a funny way of showing it."
"I jumped to conclusion to quickly. Please forgive me."
I looked at him as he gave me a small smile.
"You are our only hope against Thanos if he is ever revived. Your powers will be far greater then his if trained the right way."
"What power do I have? I'm just a kid."
He held out hid hand as a small red ball of light appeared.
"Take it."
"How? Won't I get burned?"
"No. Here" he said grabbing my hand and placing it in.
I looked at it as it shined brightly.
"To find power, you must look within yourself. There, you will have all the power you need. What ever you decide tomorrow, we will not stop you in any way. All we ask is for your help."
I looked at him as he left, then back to the red ball in my hand. I began to smile a little.
"Maybe he's right. What do I have to lose?"
Looking at the ball, I closed my eyes and tried to make it disappear. I opened them to see it shrink then vanish. Chuckling, I went inside and went to bed.
"Do you think he'll help maam?" Tiger asked.
"I don't know. If he doesn't, then we go it alone like we have been and hope we don't get killed."
Walking in, everybody stopped what they were doing and looked at me. I went into the kitchen and found what I was looking for. Heading back in with a bottle of Jack Daniels in my hand, I sat down and took a quick shot to the head.
"Whew, I needed that" I said with a smile.
I looked up to see everybody looking at me.
"Well, what have you decided?" Greywolf asked. "Will you help us?"
I took another shot and said the answer I wanted to say since last night.
"Nope."
"But why?" Jenna asked. "You're our only chance."
"You found 2 of those things so you can find the rest."
Everybody had a look of disappointment on their faces as they turned to my mother.
"Very well. If that's your decision, we can't force you."
"Next time don't wait 22 years to say you need my help when I could've used yours."
"Is that the only reason you're not helping?" Tasha asked.
"Partly that and some other things" I said getting up.
"You are the most selfish person I've ever met. I can't believe I've fallen in love with somebody like you."
I stopped at the door and looked back.
"Sorry if you feel that way."
I left as the door closed behind me. Walking a little ways, I saw a hanger holding a B-52 Stealth Bomber.
"Cool" I said walking towards it.
Soon I heard an alarm go off as people started to run this way and that. I looked down to see everybody heading towards here. Thinking quickly, I jump into the plane and hid inside.
"I can't believe he's moving already. I thought you said we had 2 days Theft?" Tiger asked sitting down.
"I can be wrong sometimes. I'm only human you know" he said starting the plane.
"Yeah we know" Crystal said.
"Bite me."
After taking off, everybody was quiet.
"Are you ok Tasha?" Jenna asked.
"I think so" she said looking out the window.
"Don't let my son get to you."
"I can't stop thinking about him. Every since I first laid eyes on him, I knew he was the one for me."
I sat in my hiding space listening to everything they said.
"Did I make the right choice?" I said to myself.
After about an hour, we landed. They jumped out as I stayed there. Waiting for about 5 minutes, I hopped out and followed them. Coming to a clearing with buildings, I saw them fighting those creatures. Once they were done, the only one left was a huge bear holding a yellow stone.
"So you decided to come here and steal my stone huh?"
"You could just hand it over" Greywolf said.
"Humph. Tempting offer, but I'll have to pass."
"Then we'll just take it from you" Venom said angrily.
"You don't know who you're fucking with" he said angrily as the sky got dark around them.
Everybody charged at him as he plowed through them one by one. After they got over powered, they were down on the floor as he laughed.
"You guys are a good workout. You even managed to make me bleed a little" he said a little of out breath.
He walked over to Tasha and put his foot on her throat choking her.
"You were the only one able to hit me so I'll take you out first."
I watched as she struggled when something inside me snapped and I found myself running towards him.
"Let her go" I yelled and hit him so hard he flew right into a building.
Everybody looked surprised as I kneeled down towards Tasha.
"Ultimus? What are you doing here?" my mom said shocked.
"Tasha, are you all right? Can you hear me?" I asked.
"Ultimus? Is that you?" she asked weakly looking up at me.
Suddenly, I felt this strong sense come over me. I stood up and turned around as that same guy I socked was looking me straight in the eyes. He grabbed me by the throat and lifted me up with ease.
"Nobody sucker punches Tiamat and gets away with it" he said angrily.
I tried to get free when the stone he had around his neck reacted to my chest. He looked at me in shock.
"So you're master's son huh? He will be pleased to have that stone" he said digging his claws into my chest as I let out a scream of pain.
He reached the stone only to have it shock him as he touched it.
"Dammit" he yelled shaking his hand. "Since I can't take it from you alive, I might as well kill you."
He tossed me into the air and opened his arms. "Tornado Hold" he yelled as a huge tornado held me in the air helpless. He floated up and started laughing.
"You're suppose to be stronger then me. But yet you're nothing but a little bitch."
I looked at him with angry eyes as he laughed and held his hand next to the funnel.
"Time to die, "Gatling Blast"."
The explosion was so great that as soon as I hit the building it collapsed onto me burying me in the rubble. He started laughing as everybody looked at the building.
"Could he have survived?" Jenna asked.
"I don't know" my mom said.
Tiamat landed on the ground with his arms crossed.
"Well, time to collect."
He didn't take 2 steps before everybody felt an evil power.
"Holy christ what was that?" Venom asked.
"It's Ultimus" Tasha said looking at the rubble.
"Impossible. My attack should've killed him" Tiamat said angrily.
The ground started shaking as I exploded from the wreckage throwing debris everywhere. I had a deep gash across my chest flowing blood.
"What's going on here? Why is his power level so high?"
My hair had turned completely red along with my eyes.
"Bad thing to do" I said harshly.
"Fuck you. Eat this" he said throwing energy balls at me which bounced off my aura I was surrounded in.
I held out my hand as a sword made of pure fire appeared.
"Shall we finish this fellas?" I asked with a smile.
"Who are you talking too?" Tiamat asked.
"He's talking to me" my clone said.
"And me" my other clone said.
Tiamat looked around as he was surrounded. We each took a step and began our assault. Tiamat hit the floor with a thud, blood flowing freely from every part of his body.
"Time to finish you off" we all said.
Grabbing his leg, I tossed him in the air. While he was in the air, we made a triangle pattern in the ground and stood at the corners.
"Go to hell "Dead Triangle Attack" we shouted.
We threw our swords in the air, caught them, and slammed them into the ground causing a massive ball of energy to float up and engulf him.
"Be gone" I said snapping my fingers as it exploded in the air causing an ear shattering boom.
When the light dimmed down, everybody looked around.
"Where is Ultimus?" Tasha asked.
"Look, there he is" Tiger said pointing to where I was laying down.
They rushed over as Tasha held my in her arms.
"Ultimus can you hear me? Answer me please."
I opened my eyes as everything was blurry.
"I guess I'll help after all" I said with a smile before passing out.
I woke up a couple of hours later with a killer headache and naked.
"Welcome back" Annabelle said with a smile.
"What happened?"
"You kicked his ass and then passed out due to loss of blood and fatigue."
"Did you get that thing around his neck?"
"You mean this?" she said showing me the stone.
I gave a small smile as I got up weakly and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Where are my clothes?"
"Here" she said handing them to me.
I began to get dressed as I watched her lick her lips.
"Can I have something for this headache?"
"Sure can sweetie."
She tossed me a pill and I gulped it down. Walking out, I went to my room and I saw Tasha standing by the window.
"Hello" she said.
"Hi" I replied.
"Are you feeling better?"
"A little."
"That's good."
We both were quiet for a while.
"Well, I better be going. You need your rest to recover" Tasha said heading for the door.
"Wait" I said touching her shoulder.
