Chapter 1: The opening of raven's gate

By the approval of the midnight society, I call this... "The tale of Ravens gate."

Once there were three children going on a small trip with many other children. The three main characters names were Adam, Rosa and May. Those three and all the other kids on the trip were travelling to a place called ravens gate. An ancient place where five gatekeepers guarded from the darkness. On the way there, May and Rosa talked about the place and what they might do there. Adam was reading about Ravens gate. And added in bits to his new story "The mystery of Ravens gate."

"What are you doing?" Asked Rosa.

"I'm writing a new story. It's called 'the mystery of Ravens gate.' Cool title, right?"

"Yeah... That's cool and everytin'." She turned back to talk to May. Adam scowled, and went back to adding chapters for his book. Suddenly, the bus screeched to a stop, everyone there shook a little. Adam dropped his work on the seat next to him. The bus stopped moving. Adam looked at his folder. Luckily, all his work was safe. He sighed in relief.

"Is everyone all right?" The teacher asked the students. They all nodded, slightly. "Okay, I want everyone to walk out in an orderly fashion." The teacher called out each student's name as they came to exit the bus. Everyone exited and as soon as they looked away from the bus. It vanished like it never existed.

"Miss," asked a student. "Where are we going?"

"Well," The teacher started "First we are going to see the main attraction... The Ravens Gate." They followed the teacher to a gate. She rubbed the rust on the gate saying, "The last resting place of the Raven's gate. Proceed at your own risk."

"We're here." The teacher whispered. "A legend tells that a true gate keeper may open a world to no-man has ever seen before. Where this gate gets into play. It can be opened by any-one but only a true gatekeeper can get Raven's gate to its former glory. Who will go first?"

"I will." One student said. He pushed the gate open and it just showed what was behind the gate, nothing that looks unusual. He pulled the gate and closed it "Bad luck. Who next?"

Everyone had a go and failed. Adam noticed something everyone missed. There a five finger code that everyone missed. He went towards it and turned his hand so he could open the gate to whatever secrets the gate might have held. As soon as he did this "Adam," the teacher said, darkly "It's your turn." He noticed a slight distortion in her voice. He turned away from the side went towards the gate and pushed the doors. Everyone stood in anticipation of showing the other world, Adam couldn't do it alone. May and Rosa helped him so did everyone else. The teacher stood back as the door opened. The gate glowed as everyone went flying backwards except for Adam who was already on the other side. "Everyone?" Adam called, but he was too late. The gate closed as soon as he called out to everyone in the world originally in.

A few hours later, Rosa and May returned to their conscious as everyone was still knocked out, including their teacher.

"What happened here?" Rosa asked. May was quiet. She went towards the gate, opened it and the other place was still there. She went through and the gate closed behind her. Rosa was petrified. What is she going to do? Will she follow her friends to that... Other place? Or will she wait for everyone to recover. She looked at everyone then looked at the gate. That place whatever it was took her friends away. The only way to get them back is too follow them. She pushed the gate and went through the gate to that other place as the gate behind her.

Chapter 2: "Maybe" May is in May

Rosa found herself in a world she would have never expected. She found that all the trees are white, pretty much... Everything was almost white; it's a portrait waiting to be painted. She saw people, (what seemed to be very tall people) lots of people marching towards her. She was frightened and ran away. She ran behind a white building and looked at the people. She saw the 'people' were wearing yellow hats and colourful shirts.

"Who are they?" Rosa thought. "More importantly, what are they?" She thought this for quite a while. After the people arrived they each stood to one side. Half of them were in one side, the other half on the opposite side. Rosa saw two robes and a crown and tiara on their heads. She supposed they were the King and Queen. The king spoke first

"As you know... The month of May is among us. This month is named after the death of my late wife... May." May is dead? Rosa thought that was a little farfetched. But it couldn't be true. Could it? Rosa disagreed with that quote and I shook her head. "Now my Queen, shower this place with colour." The queen spreaded her arms and she shot colour into the clouds. And it started to rain with colour. It seemed to cover this entire world with colour. Even the gate was coloured. Everyone and everything was coloured.

"MAY!!" The queen shouted to her people "This Month will be called MAY-"

"My queen," The king interrupted her "I have explained it fully. Have I not?"

"You don't understand," The queen replied. "I," She lowered her hood as she said that. "I am not your queen." She removed the tiara from head. "I am May. And thanks to you my friend, Adam is trapped in that crown you wearing." She pointed to the crown the king was wearing. The kind seemed to be angry.

"I did nothing of the sort."

"Then take off your crown."

"I shall not be ordered by this lowly peasant."

"Hey!" May snapped "My name is May. And I am no peasant, you royal bully."

"Guards," The king started "Arrest her."

"NOOO!!" Rosa screamed and ran towards her. The king looked at her. Rosa suddenly froze. Oh no! He saw her. "And her too!" The king pointed at Rosa.

"That shall not happen." Someone shouted. The king looked around.

"Who goes there?" One of the guards fell. "Rana!" That seemed to be his name. "What did you do to Rana?" Another guard fell. "Kara!" They seemed to be twins. Both of these guards died. All of the guards ran and un-handed May and Rosa. The king fell on his knees and his dead guards turned into dust. "My people!" The king exclaimed. "You killed my people!"

"I think that's enough," The hero appeared "Adam." May and Rosa squealed in delight. Adam was finally coming back.

"I don't think so."

Chapter 3: The king royal reveal

The king threw his robe to the side and the hero, Rosa and May saw his terrifying form. He was a giant tree with arms thicker than tree trunks and stood taller than the Houses.

"When I am in this form!" the king started "I cannot be defeated."

"We'll see about that!" The hero drew his sword and charged at the king heart! The king just pushed him to the side.

"Such a feeble attempt," The king replied "I would have expected more from you... Buizel!" The hero looked defeated and laid down on the ground blood oozing out of his body, knowing what will happen next...Death! "Goodbye... Hero!" He took his large sword and swung it down. Buizel closed his eyes and waited for the cut, but he didn't feel anything. He looked up and saw Adam blocking his sword with his hand. His hand started gushing out blood and Adam groaned in pain. Indeed, the sword was stopped and Buizel just looked at him.

"Why?" He asked "Why did you save me?"

"For some reason I believe that we are the same." He replied "The friendship between all of us helped me break out of his crown and save you. You are the true hero." Adam closed his eyes and fell to the ground. The king looked at his crown and indeed saw it was broken. He groaned and melted into a small green puddle into a sewer. Rosa and May went towards Buizel and Adam. "Adam..." Rosa Whispered. Silence. May asked

"Adam, are you there?" Still silence. Rosa covered her eyes and May just sat there holding her head. Buizel was till there on the ground. He felt a sharp pain in his stomach and fell to the ground, just like Adam did before him.

Chapter 4: The journey to Floatzel, the healer

Adam groaned a bit and opened his eyes and saw white everywhere as if he was in a hospital. He got up and everything was misty and white. This meant he was... Dead? He dreaded the thought of being dead and looked around. Everything was white. There was no doubt...He was unfortunately dead. He looked around again and saw Buizel on the ground, with his eyes closed. Adam went towards him and shook him.

"Buizel, wake up!" Buizel opened his eyes and just stood straight up as if he was a bullet. He just stood there and looked around. He saw Adam and everything white; even Adam's clothes were white!

"Adam," Buizel asked "Where are we?"

"It looks a bit like limbo to me." Buizel widened his eyes and his jaw dropped.

"Do you mean we're dead?" Adam nodded slowly. "Great. Just great... Now what (!)." Adam looked around him.

"There must be a way to be alive again." Adam looked around and shouted "Help!" Buizel stared at him as he went to any random space and shouted help over and over again. Buizel felt sorry for him and did the same, shouting for help.

Meanwhile in the world of the living...

Rosa and May were standing over the dead bodies of Adam and Buizel when they heard for their voices shouting for help. And they saw the two souls looking around them for anyone. Their eyes laid on Rosa and May.

"Adam," Rosa asked "Is that you?" Adam looked straight at Rosa.

"I can ask you the same question."

"But that's impossible." May gasped, "You're dead."

"Not exactly," Buizel replied "Adam explained we're in a world between dimensions. We're not dead or alive. We're between life and death. We're sort of dead and sort of alive." Rosa and May exchanged glances they looked at Adam and Buizel, then at their dead bodies, then back again. Rosa and May looked worried.

"How do we help you live again? We want to help!"

"You have to bring us to my mother!" Buizel replied.

"Where is it?" May asked.

"When go to the edge of this town, you go across a bridge to reach a small lake say "carus markus" to activate a spell to my house in the lake. My mum will bring us back to life. We're counting on you!" They're souls disappeared, back into Limbo. Rosa and May nodded, hauled their bodies onto their shoulders and ran to find the bridge. Adam and Buizel looked at them running towards the direction of the bridge.

"Do you think they'll make it in time?" Adam asked

"I dread to think what will happen if they didn't make it in time." Buizel replied. "We'll place our faith on them and hope they bring us back to life."

They went for ages and found the bridge, they crossed it with ease. They walked for about a mile and found a lake in the middle of the small bit of light not covered by the trees. May and Rosa looked at each other and tried to remember what Buizel told them to say.

"What did he say? Carus Marcus??"

"I think he said 'carus markus' Rosa." May replied. The lake water opened up to reveal a house made out of pure Aqua. She looked at Rosa "See?"

"I was close!" Rosa snapped.

"Of course you were..."

"I was!" Rosa said

"Come on!" May shouted "We are here to bring Adam Buizel back to life."

"Right." They walked down to the house. They went towards the door as it creaked open.

"Strange..." May thought "It's open. Rosa and May nodded to each other and went inside. The door shut behind them as they saw a Floatzel look at them and also saw Buizel's body and Adam's body on their shoulders.

"What happened to them?" She asked.

"They were killed by the king and went into Limbo."

"So they are still alive/" She asked.

"They are," May replied "But we believe they may not have much time."

"Come with me," Floatzel grabbed them "I am Nicholas's mother, I know just what to do with Nicholas and Adam."

"How do you know Adam's name?" Rosa asked on amazement.

"It's for me to know and for you to find out." She replied mischievously. May and Rosa rolled their eyes. Floatzel giggled. "My name is Annabelle, Belle for short. I know what to do."

C** hapter 5: They can't go back to the human world yet!**

Annabelle started chanting words that Rosa and May didn't understand. She poured glowing water onto Adam and Nick (the Buizel/hero) since she said she knew what she was doing. Rosa and May decided to leave her to do her work on brining Adam and Nicholas back to life. Rosa was getting impatient, May saw this and told her

"You know... if we do bring them back to life... we can go back home. You know that right?"

"I know that May! But, I'm not impatient about how long Belle takes to bring Adam and Nick back to life." May looked at her sternly "Well, I am little bit but not completely."

"Then what else are you impatient about?" "What happens when we go back home. We've been gone for hours and hours and hours! People will be wondering what we've been doing for the last... Who knows how many hours?" There was a bright light coming from Adam and Nick. Rosa gasped and May looked at Adam.

"They're coming back to us!" Belle screamed in delight. Rosa and May jumped in joy, Adam was finally coming back to the world of the living. Nick and Adam slightly opened their eyes and looked at each other, their eyes were wide open. They got off the ground and jumped with joy. They were finally alive! Alive and kicking, just like they always do. Belle went to hug Nick. Nick did exactly the same. As Rosa and May went to hug Adam. Something was wrong with him.

"Is it just me," Rosa started "or does Adam's hand look different?"

"What?" Adam asked. He looked at his right hand and looked terrified. His hand looked just like Buizel's Hand! "What's happening to me?" Adam was overreacting and Belle saw that happening and went to calm him.

"Calm down! I think you might be turning into one of us..."

"Calm down," Adam started, agitated "Calm down?! CALM DOWN!!? How can I calm down? I'm turning into a Pokémon!"

"I'm so sorry about this..." Belle Held her hand out and shot a water ball at Adam. Adam stopped as the water surrounded him. The water came off him and he fainted, his eyes were like cold, empty corridors. Rosa and May gasped.

"What did you do to him?" Rosa asked.

"Adam was overreacting. I had to calm him down. He's not harmed in any way, but he's in a state of sleep. It should wear off after a while." May sighed, as did Rosa.

"What do we do with Adam?" Rosa asked.

"We found that Adam's changes are irreversible. Adam is staying with us. I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me." Annabelle lowered her head. Rosa put her hand on her shoulder. Belle raised he head slightly.

"I forgive you." Rosa said. Annabelle looked at May. She nodded her head, as if saying "I forgive you too." Belle stood up straight, as they said their goodbyes. "What about Adam." Rosa asked.

"You heard Belle," May started to reply. "...the changes that were applied to Adam are irreversible..." Rosa slightly tilted her head. "... It means they can't change him back. The changes that are applied to Adam are permanent. They don't go; they stay on his body forever." Rosa looked away from May. May sighed "Look Rosa, I know this is hard, but we have to look forward and move on. Let me guess... You've never had a friend that's gone or moved away." Rosa nodded slowly. May looked at her as a tear escaped her eye. May wiped her tear. "Come on, let's go home." Rosa nodded and walked with May back to the gate.

"We finally back!" May and Rosa were in front of the gate, May was ready to come back, Rosa was unsure of coming back. May saw this, and went to her. "Hey, what's up?" Rosa whispered.

"What if there's missing posters and calls towards us."

"We haven't been away that long." May replied "...Don't be afraid." Rosa nodded as they went towards the gate. They opened the gate and saw everyone frozen. Rosa and May gasped. "Can I be afraid now?" May looked around in disbelief.

"How did this happen? How can it snow in the middle of July?"

"May? Is that what I think it is?" Rosa saw a blizzard coming towards them.

Chapter 6: Rosa and May's return to Earth.

May looked around and tried to see where to hide

"Let's go in there!" May pointed. They both nodded and ran towards a brick shelter. The blizzard was closer than before. May and Rosa banged on the door.

"Help!"

"Let us in!"

"A blizzard is coming!"

"Please let us in!"

"Please!"

"Save us!" The door swinged open, a thing literally pulled May and Rosa into the mansion and closed the door with its tail. It's tail? What kind of person has a tail? May and Rosa looked behind them and saw a Dragonite. The blizzard reached the house as they heard the wind blowing form outside. Rosa and May felt warm as Dragonite held them in its arms. They looked at each other and fainted.

Rosa groaned as she got up. She looked around and noticed she was in Floatzel's home. What was she doing back through the gate? Rosa peeked through the door and saw Adam, Nick and Annabelle eating Dinner.

"I wonder how May and Rosa are doing?"

"Will you check on them Adam?"

"Sure!" Rosa gasped and ran towards the bed, pretending to be asleep. Adam walked in, looking at May and Rosa in their beds. He went back through the door. Rosa sighed a breath of relief as May woke up.

"What happened to us?" May groaned. She was only half awake.

"We're back through the gate." Rosa replied. "Don't you recognise this place?" May rubbed her eyes and looked around. She gasped,

"We were here! We are back through the gate!"

"That's what I've been trying to tell you!"

"The thing is though...I want to know...Why we are back here." Rosa nodded in agreement and looked at Adam looked more like Nick now.

"How are they?" Belle asked.

"They are still asleep." Adam replied. "I don't understand why they can't go back to the human world. Is there more than one dimension past that gate/Barrier?"

"It would seem that's the case." Belle replied. "Go on and wake them. We need to tell them."

"There's no need." Rosa replied as she opened the door. "We heard everything." Something was wrong about Rosa, and Adam knew it. Her head was tilted to one side and her eyes seemed dark and empty. It's as if Rosa's soul left her body!

"Rosa?" Adam asked. Rosa shook her head as she returned to her original state.

"Sorry about that! I felt lifeless there for a second."

"So you heard everything, huh?" May and Rosa nodded in agreement. "Well..." Belle started again. Adam interrupted her.

"Mum! We can't do that! It's too dangerous! What if it doesn't work?"

"Adam," Belle started "...I wasn't suggesting that."

"Oh..." Adam started, a little embarrassed. "Well...Carry on..."

"There one way to bring you two back to the human world."

"Will you really?" May asked hopeful.

"Yes." Belle replied. "We will bring you back. But promise me one thing."

"Anything." Rosa said. May glared at her then rolled her eyes.

"Next time you visit the gate, promise you will visit us."

"We promise." Rosa and May promised. Adam, Nick and Belle clicked their paws and they returned to the human worlld.
