#41 of Iron Dragon

Stacy woke up in his own apartment today. He glanced out the bedroom window at the gloomy and cold looking morning. He pulled off his night shirt and panties before hopping in the shower. He wasn't one to really sleep in on Saturdays, or any day for that matter, after getting out of the hospital from nearly being beaten to death. He wanted to enjoy every moment he had now.

The warm water felt good and helped wake him up. He ran a couple fingers across a bleached patch of fur. It marked where his father stabbed him with a rather large knife. It was also a point of interest to Jenny during the short time he was with her during the orgy. He thought she was going to ask, but only ran her fingers or thumb gently across it. She had her other hand on the same spot of her own abdomen.

After drying off he stood in front of the mirror to pull his shoulder length hair out of his face with a couple of plain berets. Standing naked he turned sideways trying to see if the hormones were beginning to have any effect. Either his eyes were playing tricks or maybe, just maybe the pills were starting to give a visual cue...

He pulled on a bathrobe and tied it closed as he walked to the door as someone knocked loudly for the second time. "Hello?"

Samantha was standing out in the hall. "Sorry, I figured you would have all ready been up."

"Just getting dressed. Please come in." Stacy said and opened the door the rest of the way.

"Maybe I should have you and Jenny help me pick out furniture." Samantha said as she glanced around his small but cute little apartment.

"Thanks. I would offer you something to drink, but the fridge is still empty." Stacy said.

"That's okay. I just came to see if you wanted to join Sherman and I for breakfast." Samantha said.

"Sure. Let me finish getting ready." Stacy said as he headed back to the bathroom. Today he was just going to wear blue jeans and a t-shirt. A pair of high top sneakers and he was ready to go.

"You know, it is annoying that you and Alice look cute no matter what." Samantha teased as Stacy came out. With a padded bra, he had a similar build to Alice.

"Sorry, I blame it on my size." Stacy said with a smile.

"It's all right. Lets go." Samantha said and Stacy locked the door behind them.

Sherman was surprised to see them both in the elevator on their way down. "Good morning ladies."

"Sleep all right?" Samantha asked.

"Morning." Stacy said.

"I slept pretty good." Sherman said.

"How about you Stacy? Since you probably had your first quiet night here." Samantha said as they got of the elevator.

"Not to bad. I need my desktop computer so I have my music to sleep with. It was a little too quiet." Stacy said.

"I thought you had a laptop." Sherman said.

"I do, but it doesn't have all of my music on it." Stacy said. They walked past the small little stores on their way to the cafeteria.

"How much do you have?" Samantha asked.

"I don't really know... lots." Stacy said.

"What kind of music do you like?" Nodrog asked as they came around the corner.

Stacy's heart skipped a beat. Even Sherman and Samantha were a little surprised by him waiting for them. "I like all kinds of music."

"You don't have a favorite?" Samantha asked as they got in line.

"Not really. Just depends on what kind of mood I am in, what kind of music I want to hear. I think Winston and them are fantastic. I have every song they have wrote... Too bad I won't get to hear them play live." Stacy said as he picked up a tray and silverware.

Nodrog chuckled. "Says who?"

"Did you forget what they said the other day?" Samantha asked.

Nodrog smiled wickedly. "I took care of that yesterday morning. Stacy will be coming with us today for the concert and that's final."

"So I am guessing you smoothed things over with them." Sherman said as he picked up a couple of biscuits.

"It didn't take much. One or two of them might not be happy about it, but they don't have to be." Nodrog said.

"That's good to hear." Sherman said.

"Your brother was understanding." Nodrog said.

"Well they did go to school together, he will be able to keep the peace." Sherman said. They went over and sat at a table near the windows.

Nodrog sipped at the coffee he got. A light breakfast as usual for visual appearance. "I can't wait for snow."

"Winter would not be the season I would have expected to be your favorite." Samantha said. Fall seemed to be rather short this year, the last real warm day was when they went out to the race track with Amber.

"Wonder how the boarding is out here." Stacy said as he looked out the window.

"What is not to like about it? Tracking prey in the fresh snow, not having to worry about an army of invaders. It allows for quiet reflection." Nodrog said. He clasp his hands in front of him and bowed his head in a very oriental fashion.

"I would imagine Alice hates winter since she can't play with her little toys." Samantha said. Stacy and her giggled.

"Something would tell me that is not the case." Sherman said.

"Why do you say that?" Stacy asked.

"There are a number of engine driven snow toys, and I would bet she can drive them all." Sherman said.

"You don't know how right you are." Kenny said as he came over to them, a tray in his hand.

"Morning." They replied.

"Pull up a chair." Nodrog said.

"So the comment the other day that Alice can drive anything with wheels or tracks is true." Samantha said and sipped at her hot coco.

"Yes. You must have missed her getting yelled at last year for power sliding a snow plow... They wouldn't let her plow snow again until she promised not to play with the truck that way. Jim and Alice usually drive the big quad track snow cats we have. Alice has raced snow machines a few times, and won." Kenny said with a smile.

"That shouldn't surprise me." Samantha said.

"Not really, even Jenny loves the snow. Alice pulls her behind a sled on her snow board all over the compound. Usually they jump piles of snow and drifts for hours." Kenny said.

"That sounds cool. So is there anything they can't do?" Stacy asked.

"They can't kill bugs." Samantha said with a chuckle.

"That's pretty much it. Granted Alice is not much of a cook, Jenny more than makes up for it." Kenny said.

"There are many of us who cannot cook." Sherman grumbled.

"Have you ever caught anything on fire cooking?" Kenny asked.

Sherman had to think about it. "Guess not."

"Alice burnt a birthday cake so bad it caught on fire... Following the directions." Nodrog said.

"I guess that does make Jenny the more feminine of them. She helped me pick out all the stuff in my apartment and is helping design their wedding dresses." Stacy said.

"How do you know that?" Sherman asked. There was a very light precept falling from the gloomy sky.

"We stopped and talked to Amber the other day. She is actually making them. I was hoping the next time they went I could tag along so I could try some things on." Stacy said and turned to Samantha. "You should come too."

Sherman chuckled at Samantha's embarrassment. "That is a good idea."

"Hey you are supposed to be on my side, not hers." Samantha said.

"Actually I think he is on his own side. After all you did look stunning at the gala." Nodrog said with an honest smile.

"See, I'm not the only one." Sherman said and put his arm around her, pulling her closer.

This time it was Kenny's phone that interrupted them. "Yeah, I will be down in a little bit, just finishing breakfast."

"Jim?" Nodrog asked.

"Yeah. Seems one of your ground pounder buddies buried a troop transport to the frame rails in mud. Jim and I need to go rescue him." Kenny said with a smile.

"Sounds exciting." Nodrog said.

"Since neither of us will have to get muddy, it won't be too bad." Kenny said and glanced out the window. "Speaking of work, what does the boss man have you two doing?"

"Actually helping with security both for this site and for when the books we bought go on display. Its boring and tedious." Sherman said.

"You only say that because he won't let us try and break into anything." Nodrog chuckled. It was half true, but the other half of what they were doing was still not to be talked about.

"You both have it so rough." Samantha teased.

"I am supposed to get some dive training next week. Well, at least get told this companies rules pertaining to it. I think Katie said there would be two other people with me." Stacy said.

"Not all of us can have excitement all the time. I suppose after I finish this cup of coffee I should go." Kenny said.

"What brings you down here? I usually only see you eating lunch." Sherman said.

"Rose and the kids left early for a trip to visit family. I am on call this weekend. I could have fixed something at home, but why dirty plates that I would have to wash?" Kenny said.

"Cooking is not much fun unless you have company." Stacy said.

Nodrog finished off his coffee. "That's because company makes the best spice."

"I can't see you as the chef type..." Samantha said.

"I'm not, I read it in a book. But as with most things, having friends or family with you makes it more enjoyable." Nodrog said and glanced at Kenny's coffee cup. "Mind if I tag along?"

"Not at all." Kenny said. Nodrog got up with him and they dumped their trays before heading off to the shop.

Sherman got another cup and the three of them sat near the window just passing the time.

"Hello." Jenny and Alice said as the pair sat down in the two chairs Nodrog and Kenny vacated.

"Have any of you seen Nodrog?" Jenny asked.

"You just missed Kenny and him by seven minutes." Samantha said as she glanced at her watch.

"So where did they go?" Alice asked.

"Kenny and Jim have to go pull a truck out of the mud. Nodrog went to just tag along." Sherman said.

"Jenny and I were thinking about going to town. Any of you want to come along?" Alice asked.

"I would." Stacy said.

Sherman and Samantha declined and remained sitting at the table. Eventually they did get up and leave. For a little more private setting.

Alice, Jenny and Stacy had a grand time, even if the weather was cold and damp. It was late afternoon when the shuttle passed through the gates to bring them back.

"Hey, I recognize that truck. Pam would you drop us off at the maintenance shop?" Alice asked.

"You are starting to sound like Joe." Jenny teased as the older woman piloted the shuttle over to the shop.

"How so?" Stacy asked.

"She knows all her friends by what they drive." Jenny said as the three got out of the shuttle.

Alice walked in first and spotted him right away and teasingly yelled. "Hey cowboy, you want me to show you how to park that truck of yours?"

Jenny knew who Alice was teasing as soon as she said 'cowboy'. Stacy was stunned silent as the butterscotch pony anthro turned around when Alice yelled at him.

"Well long time no see speedy." The pony replied with a cowboy drawl. Alice and him exchanged a hug. He stood six foot even, and the little of his sandy blond hair that could be seen under his cowboy hat was a curly mess.

"How have you been?" Alice asked and motioned for Jenny and Stacy to come closer.

"Do'in good. Have to get Jim to service my truck. Looks like you're stuck wit' me for a couple days. Hi'a Jenny, Aunt Lucy said you two is finally getting hitched." The pony said. He and Stacy both blushed a little when their eyes finally made contact.

"This is Stacy, she is a friend of mine. Stacy this is my cousin, Randy." Alice said. Her and Jenny both giggled at the two's sudden shyness.

"Ain't you just the cutest thing. Pleased to meet you." Randy said and took off his hat.

"Nice to meet you." Stacy managed to get out. He was cowboy, no two ways about it. Tight blue jeans, a belt buckle the size of a plate, plain button shirt under a tan vest. Just missing the cowboy boots... but he was wearing steel toed work boots. However those blue eyes of his, Stacy could get lost in.

"Do you want to grab your bag. We can head up and I will show you where you are staying." Jim said as walked over from the office.

"Sure. What are you' alls plans for the night?" Randy asked.

"All of us were going out to see Nodrog play with a band. You are more than welcome to come along. Mom and Dad will meet us there." Alice said.

"That sounds like a good ol time. Let me get my bag out of the truck." Randy said and lightly jogged over to the small door to head outside.

"You know its rude to stare?" Jenny whispered in Stacy's ear teasingly.

"Kinda hard not to." Stacy said very quietly.

Randy came back in with a duffel bag slung over one shoulder. "You did say it was alright to leave it where it's sittin'?"

"Yeah. I'll unhook it and pull it in Monday morning." Jim said.

"Was nice of you to offer me your spare room." Randy said as they followed Jim out of the shop. Kenny killed the lights and locked the door.

"Not a problem." Jim said.

"I am guessing you got the stuck truck out?" Jenny asked as they followed.

"Yup, and we didn't even get muddy. Nodrog headed up to get ready for the concert." Kenny said.

"I always knew you had a knack for knowing interestin' people. But I gota say an ancient metal dragon... That's gota take the cake." Randy said as they followed Jim.

"Life is too short to always hang around boring people. I don't know any boring people. I never heard, how are your ribs healing?" Alice asked as they got on an elevator.

"Last x-rays said I am all healed up. Doc said I will be good to compete next year." Randy said.

"I have not met anyone from Alice's family that does not compete in something." Kenny said to Stacy.

"I get the feeling they also constantly egg the others on." Stacy said.

"Course we do." Randy said and put his arm around Alice. "I'm just lucky Alice can't ride a horse as well as she can drive a car."

"Did you get bucked off?" Stacy asked.

"No, I think he cheated and told the horse I was riding it had to lose." Alice said with a smile.

"Let me feed the boy's fish and I will come with you. Seems silly to stay here by myself." Kenny said.

"Sure, just come down. Stacy and I will head to Jim's after we put these away." Jenny said. Jenny helped Stacy carry the few things he had bought to his apartment. Their last stop was an actual grocery store so he could get some basic food items and drinks.

"I don't think I have seen you that shy before. Do you have a thing for cowboys?" Jenny asked after they were inside his apartment.

"Not generally, but he certainly is good looking." Stacy said his cheeks still a bit red.

"He is really nice, and just happens to only be a year older than you. Alice and her parents took me out to the ranch his parents own. He is not as buff as Sherman or Nodrog, but tossing hay bales certainly has given him a good looking build." Jenny said. She had to stiffel a laugh when Stacy nearly dropped a bottle of juice.

Stacy sighed. "Now if only I was a girl and not an 'it'."

Chapter.

Some how Kenny beat Jenny and Stacy back to Jim and Carrel's apartment. Not that it really mattered. They had to split into two groups for the van ride down to the club. Ever the matchmaker, Jenny managed to not only get Stacy in the same van as Randy, but stuck the little lion between them.

"For only your second show you have quite the entourage." Lucy chuckled.

"There is a first time for everything." Nodrog said.

"Howdy." Randy said as they walked over to Alice's parents.

"Hey there stranger." Ron said and shook his hand.

Nodrog stood next to Cid as they made their way inside. Stacy was between Jenny and Randy. It was clear a few people where upset about the lion, Nodrog didn't care. They had to push two tables together for them all to fit. However promptly ten till Mr. October showed up with Kitty and Catlin in tow.

"I'm glad you could make it." Nodrog said as he greeted them

"Judging from the crowd, I am glad we could come down." Mr. October said.

Jenny and Jim were a little relieved the boss took a smaller table on the far side of the club.

"So how long are you in town?" Lucy asked.

"Couple days at least. Depends on how long it takes Jim an' Kenny to go over my truck. Plus somethin's wrong with the trailer hydraulics." Randy said.

"It can wait till Monday. I noticed you are empty, what are you picking up?" Kenny asked.

"The first part of that special trailer. Me an' Chuck are going to start moving the special equipment out west to stage it for the spring haul." Randy said.

"Are you taking the counter weights out?" Jim asked and thanked the waitress that brought him a drink.

Randy scratched his chin. "Think so."

"So we might see you a couple of times before the year is up." Ron said.

"I hope so." Randy said.

While they all caught up, Alice introduced Stacy to her parents. Jenny and Alice both managed to steer part of the conversation to pointing out Randy and Stacy were not seeing anyone at the moment. Alice was a little more subtle about it than Jenny was.

Nodrog followed Winston to the back. "I got most of them to drop the thing with Stacy. After all, I have know him longer than they have." Winston said.

"I figured as much." Nodrog said and they both entered the dressing room.

"I got to ask, why is he dressed as a she?" Winston asked.

"Alice said it was due to a hormone deficiency. At this point Stacy has no gender or is both..." Nodrog shrugged. "She forgets I don't have a college degree in biology."

"Guess I will have to ask Jennifer when she gets home." Winston said.

"She working another double?" Freddy asked.

"Yeah, they have been rather busy." Winston said.

"Did your boss come this time?" Steven asked.

Nodrog glanced at his watch, almost time to start. "He did come this evening."

"Well lets go put on a good show." Brian said.

The main lights dimmed as they took the stage. While everyone got their instruments ready, Winston thanked the crowd for coming out. It was not an original idea to talk to the crowd like he did every show. He got the idea from a blues man when he was little. It helped him get over the little nervousness he always got before they started playing. The last of Winston's pre performance jitters went away as Ox started a quick tap on a cymbal and Nodrog shortly joined him.

Nodrog smiled as they relaxed a little more now that they were playing. Sherman and Alice would be annoyed that he never got nervous. But with as much practice as he has, there is no reason for him to be.

They all talked quietly. Much to Samantha's embarrassment and Sherman's delight, Jenny dragged Samantha out to the dance floor. Sherman and Randy skipped the alcoholic drinks.

"Not much of a drinker are you?" Carrel asked.

"No ma'am. I never liked the stuff." Randy said.

"Nothing wrong with that." Ron said.

"I just hope two of you don't toss as many back tonight as you did the pool tournament." Sherman said and eyed Alice.

"Alice and Jenny both occasionally drink a little too much." Lucy said and giggled when Alice got embarrassed.

"I guess its my turn to dance with Jenny." Jim laughed as a slightly out of breath Samantha plopped back down next to Sherman. She at least managed three songs.

"That girl has endless amounts of energy." Samantha said.

"Speaking of dancing..." Randy said as he stood up. He held out his hand. "Come on."

Stacy just looked up at him. A little nudge from Alice got him up and Randy pulled him along. Neither of them were much for swing dancing, but Randy was good enough he didn't care. As much fun as he had, Stacy was a little sad because he wasn't the person Randy thought he was.

The night wore on a little long for some. Jim, Carrel, Kenny and Alice's parents called it an earlier night then the rest of them. Still when they got back from the club, Nodrog had to carry Jenny up to their apartment. After they put her to bed Alice went out to the kitchen.

Alice squeaked as he quickly came up from behind and grabbed her. "Can I help you?"

Alice moaned as he nibbled on the back of her neck. "Maybe." Nodrog let one of his hands slid down her belly and she let out another moan as his fingers went under her large night shirt right to her most sensitive spot. "or maybe I can help you with something."

She reached up and locked her fingers together behind his neck as his upper hand cupped one of her breasts. "Well you have my full attention."

"Do I?" Nodrog whispered and kissed the back of her neck.

Alice managed to moan a weak 'yes' as he got her quickly aroused. Jenny and Nodrog both always seemed to know just what to do, to get her going...

Nodrog continued to nibble and kiss on the back of her neck and felt her body tense up as she came. "Feel a little better?"

Alice turned around. "I would feel better with a little more..." Alice smiled coyly and pointed at the tent in his shorts.

Nodrog and Alice kissed as she unfastened his shorts and let them fall to the floor. Alice giggled as he picked her up effortlessly and sat her right on the edge of the counter. Jenny and her, were a little short to do much in the kitchen, but the counter was the perfect height for him. Alice let out a contented sigh as he slid inside of her. They held onto each other tightly.

As Nodrog and Alice were in their lovers embrace, Stacy had his back against his apartment door. He had just closed and locked it in fact. Stacy managed to get his shoes off and make it to the bedroom before he laid on the bed crying. He hated how he lead the pony along like he was a girl. Not that Alice or Jenny tried to stop him, actually they encouraged it.

He got up and walked over to his bedroom window. The clouds had blown back in. He glanced at his reflection in the glass. "I'm such a fool."

Stacy went down to the cafeteria for breakfast after a lousy night's sleep. The sky an overcast gloomy gray. He was just picking at it when Nodrog said 'hello' and sat down across from him.

"Are you alright?" Nodrog asked.

Stacy set his fork down. "Not really." He looked up from his plate at Nodrog. Stacy had a hard time figuring out what the dragon was thinking, usually a calm and neutral expression on his face. He had never seen him blush or show any traces of embarrassment. However with those large metal teeth, it was a fine line between a friendly smile and an evil smile.

"Want to talk about it?" Nodrog asked before popping a hard boiled egg, shell and all into his mouth.

"I don't think you would understand..." Stacy said picking his fork back up and played with the hash browns on his plate.

Nodrog chuckled. "So it is about that. Alice thought you were a little nervous about Randy walking you to your apartment."

"Are you sure you didn't just read my mind?" Stacy asked. Like Sherman, he couldn't tell if or when the dragon was poking around his head.

"Don't have too. You blushed when I mentioned him." Nodrog said with a smile as the little lion blushed even more.

"Alright, it is about that. I feel bad because he thinks I am something I am not." Stacy said and took a bite of the food he was playing with.

"Oh, and what makes you so sure of that?" Nodrog asked with another chuckle as Stacy blushed again.

"Well I didn't tell him so one of... you..." Stacy said and followed Nodrog's gaze. The dragon had spotted Randy before he did. With a short sleeve shirt on, he could admire those strong arms that had done an admiral job leading when they danced.

Nodrog got the pony's attention and turned back to Stacy. "Not me, Alice. He is her cousin after all."

"Mornin' mind if I join you?" Randy asked.

Nodrog gestured to the empty seat next to Stacy. "Pull up a chair. We were just talking about you."

"Nothin' bad I hope." Randy said. Unlike his cousin Alice, who did not eat meat, Randy did. As evident by the plate of biscuits and bacon smothered in sausage gravy. He also was not one for coffee and had two large glasses of orange juice.

"Only good. I noticed the two of you did a little dancing." Nodrog said.

"I'm not very good, but I know I enjoyed it." Randy said and looked at Stacy.

"You did better than most. It was fun." Stacy said. He still couldn't believe how nervous he felt, or understand why his pulse was quick... Love felt weird if that's what it was.

"Alice asked about your ribs, what happened?" Stacy asked.

"Bull riding, got bucked off into the fence. Broke two and cracked the others on this side." Randy said and gestured to his left side. "Do you know how hard it is to not laugh when Jenny and Alice are around?"

"Some days near impossible." Nodrog said with a smirk.

"They came out I guess two months after I got hurt. Alice is at least a little more comfortable in the great outdoors than Jenny. Rattle snake spooked the horse Jenny was riding and I think that girl beat the horse to the barn by a good ten minutes." Randy said with a laugh.

"Samantha told me she had to save Jenny from a big bug that stumbled out of an artifact. Course Jenny claims it jumped out like it was going to attack." Nodrog said.

"Give her a gun and she is a different person. Never seen someone shoot a pistol that good." Randy said.

"Speaking of them, are they even up?" Stacy asked.

Nodrog leaned back and thought about it. "No, they are still asleep. Probably should wake them up or they might sleep till noon."

The three finished eating and headed up to their apartment. Jenny and Alice were up, but they were not getting around very quickly. Nodrog laughed as the two had to quickly adjust how they were sitting so they did not show off to Randy and Stacy first thing in the morning.

"Do the two of you always get up early?" Jenny asked.

"I always have." Randy said.

"Yeah, because I like getting stuff done early." Stacy said.

"When did we agree to meet my folks? Lunch or dinner?" Alice asked as she rubbed her eyes after pulling off her glasses.

"We agreed on lunch at that noodle place." Nodrog said.

Jenny stretched her arms up and yawned. Randy and Stacy both quickly looked in different directions and turned bright red. "I better go get dressed..."

"Me too." Alice said and the two made a quick retreat to their bedroom.

Nodrog only laughed at the fours embarrassment. The only reason he went to the cafeteria was to check on Stacy. With that partly taken care of and now back in their apartment, he could eat something a little more filling.

Stacy and Randy were both a little lost for words as he sat down with one metal rod in hand and a partly eaten one sticking out of his mouth.

"Didn't believe me did you?" Alice asked as she came out and sat next to him.

"I might believe the other parts now." Randy chuckled.

"Trust me, the other stuff is true. Nearly scared me to death when Sherman opened the door to the hotel room and he was standing there." Stacy shivered as the silhouetted partly decapitated dragon appeared in his mind again.

"As scary as that was, scarier still would have happened if he had not been with us." Jenny said as she came out of the bedroom. The only reason she didn't faint was he had taken away her ability to be that afraid.
