Link was laying down with Leaf sitting at his side, he had his ears perked and senses focused. The Malk patrol should be returning any second now. Stripes the leader was there along with Dark and Moon, which were gray with darker or purple spotting. Flora, Stripes mate and leader was pacing with her 3 tails flowing gently in the slight breeze. Her markings was leafy and darker then her light green pelt. Sunny was sitting at the entrance on the mothers den, where her four pups sleep: Paw; the most lively, Scather and Howl; the twins, and Tonks; the runt who haven't even opened his eyes yet! Sira was sitting down; she was the healer representing Yin and Yang from her dark and bright coloration. Rose and Lily the complete twins were just staring. Tigeris was sitting down calmly near her mother Flora. With her thick brown pelt still her brother; Bearpaw was stomping around making it harder to hear.
_Ignorant Toad!_Link thought as he barked "Stop stomping!" the stomping was distracting his ears from the patrol he was supposed to hear coming, with the best sight, scent, and hearing. But he couldn't anything with his stomping "I can't hear anything with you're stomping!"
Bearpaw stopped and glared at Link "That's no way to talk to the future leader!" Bearpaw was betrothed, to the female malk to be coming home.
Flora looked at her son "Link has a point, we can't hear anything other then your stomping, sit down next to Tigeris."
Bearpaw scowled as he went to go sit down next to his sister.
That's better Link thought.
Leaf asked "Anything my son?" I replied straining my ears "No, noth- wait I hear something!" sounds from 18 miles away were sending alerts to his head. He strained his ears forward, till he heard bracken crunching along way off. "Bracken, they shouldn't be far" the bracken was put down by me for no reason when I still was a young pup. The crunching grew louder and tiny barks sounded. Link sprang up "He has the pups!" I barked loudly as the patrol burst through the entrance. Each carring a gray bundle of fur, all looking the same... Triplets! I thought as they layed the pups down.
"Sunny, nurse them?" just as Stripes said those words Scather, Howl, and Paw burst out of the den "Brothers, Sisters! Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Link trotted over sniffed each one No... and this is the last batch too, I'm all alone :'( Link sighed and walked away "Boy boy girl" Link didn't hear the rest. He just dissappeared into his dark, murky den...
Link was resting when his mother called "Link are you okay?"
Link replied harshly "No! I'm all alone... no one to be friends with... no wolf likes me... I should just..."
Leaf asked "Just what?"
Link sighed "Just.. I don't know... leave... Bearpaw would never let me live it down if I shown my face again..."
Leaf sighed sadly "Come on, see the pups again.. you might like them even if they are all wolves"
Link grumbled "Fine..." They walked out and Link following slowly behind, LInk once again he sniffed each one. Tilted his when the female squirmed when i sniffed her. I sniffed her again she pawed at my nose gently, she was pawing at my nose. Her life was so... new like fresh white clean snow "Can I name her?" I asked.
Stripes replied gently "You may"
"What? It's not his mate! He's a bandit! A worthless piece of scum he is!" Bearpaw exclaimed.
Link growled glaring at Bearpaw.
Flora glared at her son next "Excuse me! He may be a fox, but he has a heart! Please continue Link"
Link sighed and said "Yuki her name will be Yuki, because her life is new like clean white snow."
Stripes looked thoughtful "Good name..." he replied "Yuki the name of snow"
Later the pups were barking and yipping constantly, Oh Great! I should help shouldn't I? Link rised and walked outside. The clearing was glittered by countless stars wand the clearing lit by an ear moon (half moon). The night glittered on his dark thick pelt, stretching and yawning. He looked around the clearing carefully. First was the mothers den; a HUGE tree den with a large burrow inside protected by smaller brambles. Which had about: 10 pups(incuding Link, Bearpaw, and Tigeris) and 3 mothers. Second was the apprentices den, a medium/smallish gorse bush. Which had no one inside. Third was the Adults den; a large den covered by branches/brambles/ and a smallish gorse bush. Which had 4 Adults inside. Forth the elders den; A fallen tree and a bramble wall in the back. Which had 1 Elder inside. Spear; the newest elder which had gray and brown markings. Fifth the healers den; a small rock den that slowly turns into a burrow barely going very deep. Which had Sira inside along with her apprentice Starshine rest and live. Sixth was the leaders den; where normally Flora and Stripes sleep, it was a huge cave inside and a rock from the outside.
Link trotted to the mothers den, he poked his head inside and asked "Everything okay in here?" He asked Sunny replied "Nope, the pups. they won't..."
I said "Let me see" Link trotted over and instantly saw the problem; the pups were squashed up together next to Scather, Paw, Howl and tonks "Seperate them" he told Sunny "It's not good to be squashed up against new pups"
Sunny nodded and seperated the malks and the normal the Malks instantly calmed and quieted "How did you..." Sunny asked.
Link answered "Leaf taught me, she adopted pups before with her own litter"
Sunny told him kindly "Thanks" Link replied "Your Welcome"
Soon Link left, and went to his own den.. he didn't belong in the Mothers den. He had a den of thorns with Leaf, he went inside and curled up beside Leaf raised his head and stared at the moon... please...make me belong...please Link thought sadly as he went to sleep...
