"Daggers of Darkness" - Cast of Major Characters
#7 of Daggers of Darkness, Book 1, Into the Black
Here's the (revised) Cast of Major Characters for the first book of my sci-fi adventure series, "Daggers of Darkness, Book 1, Into the Black". This story is set 500 years into the future with some of the descendants of the characters in my novel, "Family Tails". Chapter 1 is up next after this part.
The posting of this story on here may not be a fully polished product -- that will come later when I have the story fully edited and published. However, I will try to keep the typos, etc., to a minimum. The main things I would like from those reading this are comments, questions, and suggestions. I only ask that you please keep criticisms constructive and polite.

Cast of Major Characters
James Daugherty, Captain -- James is the Commanding Officer and pilot of Nightwing. He is the great, great, great grandson of Ron and Lupina Daugherty via their son, Cormac. James is a "near human" with several wolfish traits.
Tanya Dvoretsky, Lieutenant Commander --Tanya is the Executive Officer and navigator on Nightwing. She is a wolf G.E.L.F., and the second mate of James.
Zach McCloud, Lieutenant -- Zach is the Science Officer on Nightwing. He is the great, great, great grandson of Rob and Helga Cloud via their son Arthur, and distantly related to James and Lilly via intermarriage between their families over four hundred years ago. Also a "near human" like James, though with certain cat-like traits.
Shauna Eriksson, Lieutenant (junior grade) -- Shauna is the Engineer on Nightwing. A Clydesdale G.E.L.F. with the hots of James.
Sylvia Stewert, Chief Warrant Officer-3 (CWO-3) -- Slyvia--or Syl to her friends--is the Communications Officer on Nightwing. She is a very sensuous bat G.E.L.F., who is more than she seems.
Sonya Redhill, Chief Warrant Officer-2 (CWO-2) -- Sonya is the Weapons Officer on Nightwing. She is an overly sexed puma G.E.L.F., who tends to fancy the ladies as much as the guys do.
Mindy Sorrel, Hospital Corpsman, Chief Petty Officer (HMC) -- Mindy is the medic on Nightwing. A mouse G.E.L.F., with combat experience and totally dedicated to the healing arts--she just wants to feel attractive and sexy.
Lilly Donnelson, Cryptologic Technician, Petty Officer First Class (CT-1) -- Lilly is a skunk G.E.L.F., whose job is to analyze energy signatures and data transmissions. Lilly is the second cousin (once removed) to James, and his long-time lover and primary mate. She is the great, great, great granddaughter of Ron and Rosie Daugherty, via Rosie's daughter Chrys Ann, and the favorite niece of Vice Admiral Kenneth Donnelson.
Ivor McElroy, Gunner's Mate-Missile, Petty Officer First Class (GMM-1) -- Ivor is a fox G.E.L.F., who serves as a Weapons Systems Specialist.
Cara Bronski, Electronic Warfare Technician, Petty Officer Second Class (EW-2) -- Cara is a human, who works on the detection equipment and the stealth systems of the ship.
Felix Canberra, Yeoman, Petty Officer Second Class (YM-2) -- Felix is a tuxedo cat G.E.L.F., who is the ship's clerk and has a knack of "acquiring" things needed outside the usual supply channels.
Moira Nightwing -- Moira is the ship's A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) system, essentially she is the ship. She has a knack of digging up information on miscreants and covering her computer tracks so completely that her activities can't be traced. Moira was designed to be James' "perfect mate", however, her designers created her avatar as a human lookalike, failing to take into account that James already has two mates, and both of them are G.E.L.F.s!
SRB-0266 -- One of the three Ship's Repair Bots, and the senior among them. He and the other two SRBs perform much of the routine maintenance and repairs on Nightwing.
SRB-5836 -- The middle of the three Ship's Repair Bots, he is the quietest and hardest working of them.
SRB-5917 -- The most junior of the three Ship's Repair Bots, he has made it his mission in life to please the ship's Engineer--sometimes hilariously. 5917 tries very hard, even though he gets yelled at a lot, and even kicked by the large mare G.E.L.F.
Kenneth Donnelson, Admiral -- Kenneth is the head of JSOC, the Joint Special Operations Command, and a skunk G.E.L.F. with a little wolf in him. He is the uncle of Lilly Donnelson, and is a former leader of a Special Warfare team--"Uncle Kenny" is one tough skunk, and currently is the "boss" of the scout ships.
Moira's Sisters -- The ship A.I.'s of the other four Spirit class long-range scout ships and Moira are considered to be "sisters" in the literal sense, despite having different avatars.
o Lilith Night Spirit is the A.I. of SLG-74, and the head of her class of ships. Her avatar is that of a black-furred bat G.E.L.F. who has both arms and wings, and can actually fly due to having been built with a null-gravity generator. Lilith has an interest in James.
o Leila Shadowstorm is the A.I. of SLG-75, and seems to be closest to Moira. Her avatar is that of a black-furred wolf G.E.L.F.
o Fey Darkfire is the A.I. of SLG-76, and has an avatar in the form of a red fox.
o Cyrilla Blackfrost is the A.I. of SLG-77, and has an avatar in the form of a black and white Siberian husky.
