#2 of Iron Dragon

The next two chapters of the Iron Dragon. Part of the reason behind this story was to practice writing different things and working on explanations. It will pick up with more action and sex later on.

Alice had a headache, she couldn't believe her luck. What did she do, to now live with the man every girl wanted, and the girl every man wanted? Her last boyfriend was abusive, if not for Kenny and Jim stepping in, it could have gotten really bad. Jenny and her had been roommates for several years. They had been friends since childhood, they even had some classes in college together. In all the time she had know her, Jenny rarely dated. Which was odd since someone asked her out weekly, in school all the guys wanted her. She had come home late one evening from a blind date, Jenny was sitting on the couch crying. Not knowing what was wrong she quickly dropped her things and had rushed to her friend's side.

That was the day she realized how selfish she had been. After a few minutes of silence Jenny shoved her down on the couch; pinned her arms above her head and kissed her. And not some cute little peck on the lips either. The past couple months flashed before Alice's eyes and she finally saw what she should have almost from day one. The reason Jenny never dated anyone was because she loved her. Alice looked up at the teary eyed and red faced girl who sat up a little and released her. Before Jenny could run away she quickly grabbed Jenny; pulled her back down and did the first thing that came to mind which was kiss her friend back.

Alice took two aspirin as the three made a fair amount of noise as she remembered the day that really changed her life. So again, she asked how a short, small bust, unremarkable mouse could end up living with the two most sought after people? Which made life a little harder, because she loved Jenny who was strictly girls only. Despite the love, something inside her really wanted... Okay she really wanted to get pounded by the hunky dragon. She rubbed her temples as she argued with herself.

"You feeling all right Alice?" Jenny put her things down to check on the little mouse.

"Got a little headache, nothing serious. I guess you have heard the news." Alice swatted a hand away from her forehead.

"That we got mister hunky as a roommate yeah. The best part, we don't have to cook extra for him." Jenny put some things away after mocking hurt from Alice swatting her hand away.

"Speaking of cooking, I will go talk to some of the catering staff and the butcher. I can't make any promises. Have a good evening and I will see you three bright and early in your lab." Kathrin headed back out to the hall and down to her own apartment. Why did the two little carpet munchers get the guy? That's so not fucking fair. A bottle of wine now sounded a little better then the shower.

"Jenny could you show him around, I think I am going to take a shower and take a little nap." Alice said.

"Sure but you might want to wait until you are in our room before you start stripping." Jenny said.

Alice looked down, she almost had her shirt off. "Damn it." She quickly covered herself back up.

"I don't...." Jenny quickly interrupted his sentence by sticking one of the aluminum rods in his mouth.

"Be a good boy and don't finish that. Now follow me, to your room." Jenny led him away with the part of the rod she still held.

Nodrog managed a muffled 'yes ma'am' a did as he was told. The apartment was rather open. Two bedrooms and each had its own bathroom. His room was sparsely furnished, which was all right. An empty dresser and closet were all he needed, he doubted any chairs or bed would hold his weight. After getting his few belongings settled, they went out to the living room.

"How much do you weigh?" Jenny asked as she cleared a few things off of a solid marble cube that was an end table.

"Might have lost a little weight, 408 kilograms comes to mind." Nodrog scratched his head, he couldn't really remember an exact weight.

Jenny stood and made little signs in the air as she did the conversion in her head. "That's like nine hundred pounds, guess you are only allowed to sit on this marble cube or the floor. We will have to see about getting some more industrial grade seating and furniture." Jenny was going to take the things into the kitchen.

"Leave that stuff alone. The floor will be fine. So what's with the big black rectangle on the wall?" Nodrog sat down on the floor, only leaning against the couch.

"That is the pinnacle of entertainment, a 152 inch L.E.D high definition television. Hooked up to a panty wetting seven point three surround sound that can push five hundred watts per channel with dual eight hundred watt subwoofers." Jenny boasted.

"You do realize I have no idea what any of that means." Nodrog said. Whatever that meant, she really, really liked it. He quickly realized his mistake in speaking, when she looked a little hurt and rejected.

"Sorry, I get a little carried away when it comes to toys like this. Ignore the technical stuff, you know trying to explain it is not that easy either. Screw it." Jenny picked up the remote control and turned the TV on. Apparently Alice was the last to use it since it was on a news channel. Nodrog's reaction was a cute mix of total shock and child like wonderment.

It took a while but she did manage to explain the how it worked in a way she thought he would understand. He did pick up how to use it rather quickly. They turned it back to news, at least that would get him caught up on current events. Plus now the news was truthful and no longer biased as it had once been. Thankfully he also caught on that not everything on it was real.

"I am going to check on Alice and see if she is feeling up for dinner. There is soda and beer in the fridge. I know it's not the other stuff, but Jim said you had a couple drinks with him on the plane." Jenny said and hopped over the back of the sofa.

"Sounds good, what's football?" Nodrog asked as he searched the listings.

"It's a sport, and guys like it." Jenny slowly opened the bedroom door. Alice was laying on her side, with nothing on. The bathroom light was still on, her towel was on the floor. It had been a little over an hour since she had went to shower, so she should have had a lengthy nap. Jenny climbed on the bed and slowly crept over to her. "You shouldn't tempt me like this, that cute little ass, I just can't stop myself."

Alice slowly woke up as a hand cupped her butt, Jenny whispered in her ear. "The boy is watching football, and it's almost dinner time. Plenty of time for a little fun with my sexy little mouse." Alice new that tone of voice all too well, she wasn't going anywhere for a while. Alice let out a little squeak as Jenny pounced on her.

Jenny was right it was an interesting sport, while most of the rules were lost on him he got the main point. He had heard a little moaning when he went to the fridge and smiled. While the name that went with what they were doing was new, the concept wasn't. Thinking about the two girl's rolling around on the bed naked caused him a small problem of his own. He had all ready changed into a loose fitting pair of shorts for the evening, good thing too.

Jenny didn't think he had moved until she saw he wasn't wearing a shirt. Baggy shorts with a can of dew in one hand and part of an aluminum rod sticking out of his mouth like some strange chunk of chrome jerky was a bit comical.

"I take it she is feeling better?" Nodrog leaned his head backwards to look over the sofa at her. Her hair was a little messier.

From the wicked little grin she knew he had over heard them. She turned red which only lead to a bigger smile. "Yes, she is feeling much better."

"I am sure. The funny little black thing on the end table played music and buzzed. Then it beeped." Nodrog chuckled at her embarrassment, and turned back to the game. Thankful his problem had become unnoticeable.

"It is called a cell phone, you use it to talk to people who are not with you. Alice must have left it out here." Jenny picked up the phone to see who had called. She never listened to the messages, just looked at the caller ID.

"Did I miss a call?" Alice asked as she walked over to them.

"Just one, why would Jim call you?" Jenny asked as she handed Alice her phone.

Alice looked up at the TV, then tossed the phone across the room. "God damn it, Chicago goes the whole season without winning. Damn it the one time Jim gets me to bet him they freaking win." Alice grumbled as she went looking for her phone.

"Big deal, so you how him a 24 pack of beer." Jenny and Nodrog got an eye full as she bent over to pick up the phone.

"I only owe him a six pack." Alice turned to look at them. "I just flashed you both didn't I?" She pulled her night shirt hem down further. They just stared and nodded.

"Wait how do you only owe him a six pack? He only wages a case." Jenny said as Alice carefully sat down in a chair so she wouldn't flash them again.

"It's your fault, remember when we first got together and you made me dress up as a French maid for his Halloween party?" Alice blushed an even darker shade of red.

"You mean, you owe him a six pack and a little peep show?" Jenny asked and quickly broke out into laughter.

Nodrog sat quietly as Alice yelled at Jenny. It quickly escalated when Jenny held her phone in front of him with a picture of the little mouse in the costume. It only just covered what needed to be covered. Alice's clothing usually hid her figure, but this showed she had a hot little body. From his view from the floor, they both had lovely rear ends. He cleared his throat, loudly and the two girls paused. Alice had pinned Jenny to the sofa under the TV. Alice was not the only one short underwear. "I think you both are forgetting something, again."

His kind reminder was met by both girls throwing pillows at his face. He knew he was going to need a very cold shower this evening. While disappointing, he stayed put as they both went into their room and put on something to cover their lower half.

Chapter

"I guess we both need to work on remembering to cover up. That was more than a little embarrassing." Alice pulled her tail through the waist band of her shorts.

"Its only embarrassing because we just played out most boys fantasy." Jenny pulled her skirt off to put on a pair of shorts.

"What fantasy?" Alice asked.

"The whole partly naked girl pillow fight one... I think he might have liked it." Jenny turned a bit red.

"Unless he is gay, I am sure he enjoyed every second of it." Alice now pulled her hair back into a ponytail as they went back out to the kitchen to eat dinner.

He was sitting almost in the same spot they had left him. He had straightened out the few things they messed up in their little fight, and put the pillows back on the other sofa. Jenny reached in the fridge and handed Alice the fruit salad she had picked up today. For herself a tuna sandwich, now back in town they would have to go grocery shopping.

"You didn't toss the can in the trash did you? We have a recycling can." Alice sat on one side of him.

"Actually Alice, he probably ate it." Jenny plopped down on the other side of him. He had sat down pretty much in the middle of the couch on the floor.

"Don't be silly Jenny, people don't eat aluminum cans." Alice giggled.

"What do you think he was chewing on earlier?" Jenny took the remote from him. "Time for the weather big guy."

Alice chewed on a piece of melon and thought about it. She thought it was some kind of candy. "I don't know, some kind of candy."

"Nope, want a hint?" Jenny said, as the dragon chuckled.

"Oh, just tell me." Alice said.

"1 inch by 1 inch aluminum solid stock. Two feet of it if he only had the one piece." Jenny said and now her and Nodrog laughed.

"Really, that's it. Didn't you have anything else?" Alice asked, now she understood why they didn't have to cook anything for him.

"Yes, I had a beer before we landed this morning. And that stuff in the green can. So two drinks, two aluminum cans and the aluminum rod." Nodrog said while Jenny laughed at Alice's confusion.

"Don't you eat anything else?" Alice asked. He turned and look up at her.

"Do you really want to know?" Nodrog didn't think someone who ate mainly plants would take the answer very well.

"Maybe not, but I will have to let them know if it is as strange as metal." Alice said, his look was a bit stern.

"Blood." Nodrog chuckled as predictably she pulled away from him.

"Don't worry he isn't going to eat us. Thought that raises another question, why aluminum?" Jenny patted Alice's leg.

"It can be any metal, or anything containing reasonable amounts of metal. For whatever reason the refining process the cans and those rods go through; they just taste good. Now platinum, that is exquisite delicacy." Nodrog said.

"Do we need to hide our jewelry? Though in an odd way it makes sense. Aluminum is soft, so it would be more pallet pleasing." Jenny gave the idea more thought.

"No, you don't need to hide it. Besides diamonds give me gas." Nodrog said with a straight face. Granted those metals did taste wonderful. He had gotten in trouble before for eating jewelry.

Alice and Jenny didn't know if they should take the comment seriously or not. Jenny's phone rang. It was their department head, she wanted to adjust their schedule slightly. Jenny wrote down a few quick notes and hung up.

"Who was that?" Alice got up to take the plastic bowl to the trash.

"Our director, we have a little schedule change. We are pushing the physical tests back a day. So after we run the quick medical work, we will have the rest of the day free." Jenny got up and took her plate to the sink. "After the tests, we are to take him out and get any other furnishings or items he needs."

"So why are the other tests being pushed back?" Alice asked as she sat back down.

"Because we are not testing only him. The General would like us to check on his pet project as well." Jenny playfully patted Nodrog on the head. "You get to meet a new playmate Thursday."

"I suppose I am the only one who thinks it's a bad idea. Granted getting paid to shop isn't a bad thing." Alice said as the TV claimed tomorrow was going to be a very nice day after noon.

"I hadn't thought about that, it would technically be 'business' so we would be on the clock." Jenny said excitedly.

Their playful if odd behavior, was hard to understand. He was used to following strict orders, and having those around him only have respect for his power. To be petted on the head or be ignored in a partly naked pillow fight was alien to him. This was totally strange, they didn't fear him, they didn't command him, he was not a slave.

It was the first time, anyone had given him special treatment or thought in... centuries He had to sit on the floor only because he weighed too much for the furniture, not because they didn't want him to. If he had someplace to go, he was free to go. They talked away, while he tried to understand his new position. The culture shock between the world he lived in and the one he now lives in was for the lack of a better term unnerving. The idea of flight was laughable, yet earlier today he had flown half way around the world.

Instantaneous communication without magic, also laughable, but now that was possible. The fact that there were people on not only the moon, but Mars as well, unfathomable. Granted, he knew there were other inhabited worlds, but travel between them was by magic only. He understood the old world, his presence used to cause fear, a change in the winds of battle, the outcome one hundred percent certain. Now? He was the one who was scared, there were tools that could harm him with little effort. Sure he healed quickly, but that had never truly been tested, no man or beast could have cut off an arm before. It had taken the better part of a day for them to bond the chain link to his back. Jim undid that in less than a minute, and with considerably less pain. Still hurt like hell, but not near that of when he got it.

He wished them good night, he turned down the offer for a blanket or a pillow. He insisted he would be fine, again pointing out he had all ready slept a life time. Which was a little off since it would have been a few life times for anyone else.

Alice turned the lights down to low as she followed Jenny to their room. She still was a little confused why he was staying with them. She felt bad for feeling like it was just bringing work home, he wasn't work he was a living person. The dead don't talk or care if you put them in an MRI machine... in his case that would be a really bad idea. As she brushed her teeth it dawned on her most of the tests they ran would be a bad idea, or simply wouldn't work.

They couldn't run any body scans; x-rays wouldn't pass through his skin; depending on his density a cat scan might not get a reading; and the MRI was out because he was metal. Which led to more questions, like how were they going to get a blood or soft tissue sample? Did something made of metal even have soft tissue? Why was Jenny braiding her hair?

"Why are you braiding my hair?" Alice asked.

"It sounded good. I think everyone over looked a small detail when they asked us to give him a check up." Jenny continued to braid Alice's hair.

"The fact he is metal? That does cause a few hiccups with some tests." Alice said.

"I hadn't thought of that, and it is a good point, but not the one I was thinking of." Jenny gave Alice a pinch on her butt, causing her to squeak.

"So what point are you thinking of?" Alice asked as they left the bathroom and crawled into bed.

"The fact the people we work with are dead, and have been for a very long time. It makes more sense to have someone in the living medical field check him out." Jenny reached up and turned the lights off.

"Guess we will have to ask. Love you, night." Alice said.

"Night love." Jenny gave Alice a kiss on the tip of her nose.

Morning came to early as Alice reached out to turn off her alarm clock, which was missing. She cursed under her breath as she sat up, on the wrong side of the bed. Grumbling she crawled across Jenny and shut off the offensive alarm. The bed was a mess, which was always the case since they both toss and turn all night. It wasn't the first time they had switched sides in the middle of the night. She quickly washed her face and put her contact lenses in. She thought they were a pain out in the field, which is why she left them at home. Alice gave Jenny a firm swat on the ass to get out of bed before she left the room.

Nodrog was standing at the little bar they had above the sink. Why it was called that she didn't know, it was just a wide counter top that sat above the sink. It separated the kitchen from the living room, and just enabled the bad habit of standing in the kitchen and watching TV. Sometime he had gotten dressed and she thought he showered he looked a little more polished today. "Isn't it a bit early for soda?" Alice asked as she pulled an apple from the fridge.

"I don't know, is it?" Nodrog asked and looked up at her from the paper he was reading. With or without glasses she was cute. At least today her pants fit a little snugger, her shirt was still a little loose.

Alice paused and gave it a little thought. He wouldn't know, so it was a stupid question. "Never mind." Alice turned on the coffee pot; it was too early to explain silly rules like that. It was the kind of thing her mom always said, she shivered at the thought of sounding like her mom. She was only 27, she shouldn't sound like her mom. While the coffee pot did its thing she turned on the morning news.

"Did you have to spank me so hard?" Jenny asked as she finally came out of their room. The quizzical look on the dragon's face well worth the little embarrassment. She was either stuck with cold cereal or cooking an egg. Egg and toast far better than the granola - ie uber healthy card board Alice called cereal. Still if food was their only disagreement as a couple, they were doing pretty good. They both made good money, and enjoyed working together.

"Next time I will do it harder..." Alice forgot he was standing behind her. Jenny heated her toast while the egg cooked away in the microwave.

He followed them out of the apartment and to the elevators. Kathrin joined them as they just stepped in. He stood quietly as the three talked about some of the problems with a few of the tests they had wanted. She was confident they would be able to still get some answers. They led him to their lab near the medical section of the building since they shared a few facilities.

They poked and prodded, they took measurements and weighted him. He was only off by a few pounds, he weighed nine hundred and sixteen pounds. Height was still six foot and four inches tall. After a little bit of searching they managed to get a blood sample with a cordless drill and a 1/8 inch bit. His blood in the girl's minds a gross looking mix of corroded copper green and rusty orange. With the aid of a hacksaw, they managed to cut off part of a scale.

With the senior radiologist's help they finally got a somewhat understandable body mass density. The reason for his relative light weight to size was they though a combination of hollow bones and a low density organs. With those out of the way they just entered the skin and blood sample for analysis and called it a day at 11:00 am.
