you start to get Brasa's pokeball out but quickly decide against it, after all if you want to do this again it'd be best to get him out right? anyway with that out of the way you start again making your way towards viridian city, along the way you fight a variety of pokemon and even manege to catch a pidgey along the way*. eventually you make it to viridian city, you've made it! but you can't get off track you needed to get a certain 'package' for the professor, so heading to the nearest pokemart you walk inside and make a b-line straight for the clerk working there, Brasa following closely behind and ask said clerk for the said 'package' for the good prof. "sure, let me just get that for you" the clerk then reaches below, under the counter and when he comes back up he's holding a box that couldn't be any bigger than a book or two "here you go, and give ol' oak my regards, hehehe" the clerk tells you as you leave giving him the common "thank you" and "i will". you start walking back, but at the back of your mind you still wonder, what's in this box. but, you can always ask oak when you get back.
the trip back is uneventful, only having to deal with the same pokemon that you dealt with on the way up, but you did train ali and the pidgey which you decided to call 'Dare'. you make it back to prof. oaks lab in time for dinner, literally, prof. oak was just about to eat when you came in his house, package in hand and Brasa by your side. "ah, thank you for delivering this for me, you would not believe the price they were asking to deliver straight to my door!" oak thanks you "now then i believe a thank you is in order and i know just the way to thank you!" oak then says, opening the packaging and then the box revealing 6 shiny new pokedexes.
"here, this is for you! a little thank you for getting me these, this pokedexes is a new version and it will help you along your journey by recording and documenting any and all pokemon you come across i would ask you to give one to Gary but he already had one surprisingly enough." professor oak explains. "now i know how badly you want to get back to pewter to face the gym leader there but how about some dinner? you can tell me all about your trek while we eat?" oak then asks, which you except out of generosity.
after a good dinner and about half an hour of talking it begins to get dark, you decide that you should rest up:
A. home, one last sleep in your own bed would be nice
B.head back to viridian, it would be a good idea to be as close to blue as possible, seeming as he's a whole day ahead of you
C. screw sleep! let's get straight to pewter first, then rest!
