#1 of Crossover #1

Welp, another late night submission for me... Anyway, although I still plan on continuing Jason's Nightmare, my mind just likes skipping to the actiony parts so I decided to postpone Jason's Nightmare for a while.

This is a new series I plan on making, a crossover between my two characters: Jason of the pokemon world and Brandon, my skyrim/assassin's creed character. The details are still at the thinking stage but I've already planned the events of the Prologue, Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. This series would most likely be the longest series I'll be making so far (especially since my previous works which are about 50 plus chapters long have been deleted now) so stay tuned and pray that my school doesn't give me too much work to do.

"Dad!" Jason exclaimed as the sudden thought jolted him from his slumber. The sudden movement caused a sharp wave of pain to coarse through Jason's body, forcing him to lie down in agony. Now that Jason was lying on a bed of straws, he slowly took in his surroundings. From his findings, he's confirmed that he is inside a cave. He heard the sound of running water from a distance so the cave was probably next to a river. Jason searched his mind for any known cave near a river, several came to mind but none could help narrow it down further. A single campfire next to Jason lit the cave, and clearly there were several more of the unknown further down the cave that is yet to be seen.

"If I were you, I'd just lay there and rest." A male voice called out from deep within the cave, echoing throughout the stone walls. "You're too heavily injured to even move. I was afraid your heart would explode when you sat back up."

"Who's there?" Jason called out as he tried to move, but his entire body just ached too much to even try.

"What part of 'lay there and rest' did you not understand?" the voice asked once more as the creature approached. A dark, winged silhouette slowly approached, each step seemed to make the earth shake. Jason's heart began to race in fear of the unknown creature. "Dude, relax, don't make your heart beat too fast. It might just give out like that."

Now that he mentioned it, Jason did feel sharp pains in his chest whenever his heart beat faster than it should. "You didn't answer my question..." Jason replied as he forced himself to relax.

"Well, seeing that you're constantly knocking on death's door and too weak to even put up a decent fight, you're in no position to threaten me." The creature's tone sounded harsh and threatening. "Still, I don't think it would hurt if I shared with you, especially considering that you and I are allies."

"I don't even know you." Jason answered in confusion, his tone sounded much more casual now, as if speaking to a friend.

The creature let out a chuckle and slowly approached the light of the fire. "Well, if you must know, I AM your ally. You can trust me." The light of the fire revealed that he was in fact a dragon... but not pokemon in specie...

"What... are you?" Jason stared in amazement at the new creature that stood before him.

The dragon was a towering eight feet tall with a muscular build. The dragon wore robe of sorts, a plain white robe with a red sash tied to his waist and a hood to top it. Above his robes, the dragon also wore some armor. The dragon wore armor made of some sort of steel, and so were his bracers. The steel seemed to pulsate with energy as if it were alive but Jason had trouble to get all of these impossibilities into his head. The dragon had a sword strapped to his belt and a war hammer to his back. His large black wings were folded behind his back but Jason could tell he would've been too big to fit the cave if they weren't. "Well, I guess the most obvious fact is that I'm not from this world. I'm a dragon, as you can see, but not like the dragons you have here."

"What did you mean by my heart might give out?" Jason asked.

"Would you like the straightforward answer or the one that won't make you shit your pants?" The dragon asked teasingly as he took a seat next to Jason.

"Um..." Jason felt really awkward now. What could possibly be wrong with him that would make him shit his pants? "Just give it to me straight, don't hold back."

"You're supposed to be dead."

The dragon's answered shocked Jason and left him wide-eyed and desperate for answers... but he didn't shit his pants. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, I found you a hideous, bleeding carcass fit to rot." The dragon answered with little care of how he described the Lucario. "Your insides, your guts, heart, lungs, all of your organs were much and your entire midsection was crushed far beyond your medical repair capabilities."

"This does not make me feel any better." Jason interrupted feeling the vomit beginning to rise.

"Hey, you said don't hold back so I described you with the exact words that popped up in my mind when I found your creepy carcass." The dragon answered with a small laugh.

"Then why am I alive?" Jason asked.

"You're lucky I took a hundred years' worth of study in restoration school of magic or you wouldn't even be here today." The dragon answered. "But of course you still need some getting-used-to to your new organs so it's best if you just relax."

Jason slowly sat up, placing his hand on his chest to try and supress the pain. Something felt odd though, something he didn't realize until he looked down. "Wh... where's my chest spike?"

The dragon looked at Jason in confusion. "Your what?"

"The spike on my chest." Jason waved his had above his chest. "Lucarios... my specie has a spike protruding out of our chests."

The dragon gave it a moment of thought and he fished inside his pack. "You mean this?" he produced several fragments of what seems to be a shattered spike.

"Looks like it." Jason answered as he cupped the pieces in his hands.

"I didn't realize it was a part of your body, I assumed it was a foreign object." The dragon scratched the back of his head in discomfort. "In any case, it was lodged deep in your chest and was the cause why your heart and lungs were crushed, I had to get it out."

"I understand." Jason massaged his chest to get a feel of the new, spikeless sensation. "Well, at least hugging people won't be awkward anymore."

"Oho... so you like hugging people." The dragon let out a laugh nudged Jason lightly to tease him.

Jason let out a chuckle of embarrassment as his face grew red with the dragon's comment. He didn't know why he felt like that but it just happened. He shook his head and dismissed the thought, he doesn't know anything about this dragon but now he's having a casual conversation with the guy. "Why did you bring me back?" Jason sighed. "Why not leave me dead?"

"Would you want to be left dead?" the dragon asked.

"I dunno..." Jason mumbled as he lied back down. "A part of me wants to stay dead while the other wants to be alive..."

"Clearly you are conflicted." The dragon nodded as if in sympathy. "Does it have anything to do with your friend's death, or perhaps your girlfriend, or maybe the death of your father?"

Each word the dragon uttered seems to stab Jason's heart with a rusty spike. "Wha... how...?"

"How do I know of that?" the dragon continued. "Well, I took the liberty of scanning your memories to see whether I really should bring you back."

"Just... what are you really?" Jason asked, the severity of the pain in his chest began to take its toll leaving Jason semi-traumatized.

"If you mean my background, that's a long story." The dragon sighed. "Well, I'll just start with the most recent details. You see, I'm a master with the use of the magic arts, I'm the founder and mentor of the Assassin Brotherhood in my world, I'm an adept with the use of the blade and play with my enemies using the war hammer and you and I are very similar when it comes to our connections."

"What do you mean?" Jason slowly sat back up and wiped a tears off of his eye.

"Well, as a dragon, I'm immortal." He answered, sadness washing over his face. "Dragons don't age, we may grow up and change in our appearance and maturity but that stops at a certain point in our lives. I've walked this earth... the earth of my world of course... for more than a few thousand years. I've seen the people I love come into my life and make me feel like the happiest dragon ever... and I've watched them go tearing my heart into a million tiny pieces." Tears started to pour down of the dragon's eyes as he started to cry softly.

Jason felt sorry for the big guy and he slowly crawled to the dragon's side and rested his head on the dragon's arm. "My friend likes it when I do this... does it make you feel better?"

The dragon stared at Jason in surprise, he never expected Jason to suddenly be this close to him. He wrapped his arm around Jason and felt his soft fur. Gently, he wrapped both arms around the lucario and cradled him in his arms. "Hm... yeah, this relaxes me a little." The dragon sighed as he eased up a little. "You feel like that teddy bear I used to love as a child."

"This is why losing that chest spike has some benefits..." Jason mumbled as he closed his eyes, enjoying the fact that he was needed, that he comforted someone. "By the way, you mentioned that you scanned my memories for a reason to bring me back, what was your reason?"

"You have some unfinished business here." the dragon answered. "You desire the death of someone, a man who has caused you much pain and torment, the very same man who took everyone you love away."

Jason felt immense heat erupt in his body... a fire-like intensity burning in his insides... "Argh!!!" Jason exclaimed as he held onto his stomach in pain.

"What's wrong!?" the dragon held onto Jason with his strong hands. He started healing Jason, assuming that his new organs began failing him.

Soon, especially with the help of the dragon's healing, the pain subsided and Jason began to calm down. "huff... huff... it's nothing... I just... lost control again."

"Darn, I forgot about that..." the dragon mumbled, biting his lip. "I saw of your unstable fire affinity in your memories... would you want me to enhance your body, make it fire resistant a bit?"

Jason let out a chuckle of pride. "I AM resistant to fire... but the organs you gave me aren't at the moment."

"Oh, would you like me to work on that?" the dragon asked, placing his hand on Jason's chest.

"You're not gonna cut me open are you?" Jason asked in discomfort.

"Of course not." The dragon answered with a chuckle as he carried Jason back to his bed. "I'm just gonna infuse your new organs with a little fire resistance... unless you'd want to be immune to fire, I can also do that."

Jason closed his eyes and let out a small chuckle. "Fine... as long as I don't feel awkward about it."

"Hmph, you and I just met, you can't possibly expect me to have any feelings for you." Brandon laughed and layed Jason down on the bed.

"Um... I didn't mean THAT kind of awkward but... sure, don't do that as well." Jason blushed.

A few hours of awkward body touching later and Jason finally felt his new organs feel better, more suiting to his bodily functions. "Okay, that should do it." The dragon sighed and stood up, made a few stretches and proceeded to the opening of the cave.

"Where are you going?" Jason asked.

"Outside." The dragon answered. "I'm not bedridden like you. Don't worry though, I won't wonder off too far. Just lay there and rest, maybe walk a little and exercise your body, get used to your new organs. Being dead for two days is a huge toll on your body you know."

"Very well..." Jason mumbled as he lay back down.

A few hours of sleep have past and the dragon hasn't returned yet. Jason got bored of staying in bed for long and stood back up. As soon as he did, he felt lightheaded and almost lost his balance. Images began to flash in his mind causing his head to burn with pain.

He saw images of Avalon under siege, several explosions happening here and there. He saw several rogues running around town, ransacking the place and slaughtering the innocents. He saw his dad and himself running through mobs of rogues chasing after a Luxray, Lucius, with the intense desire to kill. And at last, he saw Lucius thrust his sword deep into his father's chest and a large stone edge slamming into Jason's causing the father and son duo to die.

Jason's world began to spin as a wave of nausea pulled him down. He felt his head throb in pain as the images subsided... "So that's what happened..." he mumbled, placing a hand on his head.

"You're finally awake..." the dragon's voice echoed through the walls of the cave though the source cannot be seen.

"Where are you...?" Jason moaned in pain as he propped himself up against the wall only to feel the dragon's strong, muscly chest in the air.

The wall in front of Jason began to distort as his dragon friend began to materialize out of nowhere. "Easy now... I gotcha." He said as he held onto Jason's arm to support him.

"Where did you come from?" Jason panted, his body debilitated from the visions.

"My scales can make the light dance around them, making me appear invisible." He answered with a hint of pride in his tone.

"But you're wearing a full body robe." Jason pointed out as he sat down on a rock.

"A robe made out of dragon scales." He answered. "The reason it's white is because it's my shed scales. You won't believe how sturdy dragon scales are and how hard it is to shed off. Believe me, it's torture."

Even though it was really not important now, Jason's curiosity was already overflowing. "What about the red sash, the sword, the hammer?"

"Dude, this really isn't important in any way." The dragon placed his finger on Jason's snout to silence him. "All you need to know is that I can turn invisible."

"Okay then..." Jason's attention was caught by the crackling of the campfire. The flame, its warmth and light, reminded him so much of his father... "What now? You brought me back, for what? To help me get my revenge?"

"Precisely." The dragon patted Jason's shoulder and sat down beside him. "I don't really have a concrete reason as to why I want to help you, it's just in my nature."

"I'm not one to provide concrete reasons to my actions anyway..." Jason forced out a chuckle.

"Well then, your training starts next week once you're fully acquainted to your body." The dragon stood up and made his way for the entrance.

"Wait." Jason called out, stopping the dragon. "I still don't know your name."

The dragon let out a chuckle. "Well, in all fairness, you haven't told me yours yet."

"Oh please," Jason grunted. "you've searched my memories already. Surely you already know what my name is."

"Fine, fine." The dragon shook his head in amusement. "It's Brandon, Brandon Cahill."

"Well then, Brandon, train me well."
