David stood on the cliff looking down into the valley below, his packed rucksack sat on the ground beside him. He thought he could see movement in the trees and felt eyes watching him. His head turned as a doe edged cautiously out of the tree line and began to nibble at some grass. His eyes narrowed and his pulse rate quickened, a desire to hunt niggling at the back of his mind.

With a deep sigh, he bent down and hoisted his backpack onto his shoulders, and with a heavy heart turned to follow his friends. The trip back to the car went without incident and soon everything was packed inside. As the car pulled away, David looked back at the forest longingly.

"So how about we do this again next year?" he asked.

"No chance," Mike replied.

"I am never leaving the city again," Paul grumbled.

"Oh come on guys, where is your sense of adventure?" David pleaded.

"NO!" the three snapped in unison.

"So what DID happen out there, Dave?" Alan enquired.

"As I told you and the rangers, I went to sleep that first night and woke up this morning. There is just nothing in between. Sorry, I wish there was more but it is a blank. I am still struggling to believe this isn't just some elaborate pay-back prank," David muttered morosely. Wedging himself into the corner, he closed his eyes to end any more attempts at conversation. Falling into a deep sleep, he didn't wake until the car pulled up outside his house.

"Come on Dave, you're home," Alan said, poking him in the ribs.

David opened his eyes and looked at the house he had grown up in, and for the first time it didn't feel like home. It felt like he didn't belong there.

"You must have had some pretty vivid dreams, dude," Alan continued. "You have been growling and twitching all the way. You looked like Max when he dreams of chasing cats," he laughed.

David and Mike got out of the car and unloaded their kit as the front door opened and their parents spilled out, closely followed by a German Shepherd dog. His mother ran down the steps, crying as she hugged David.

"I was so worried about you. When Mike told us you had disappeared, I thought I had lost you," she sobbed.

"It's okay mom," David said hugging her back. "As you can see, I am fine."

The German Shepherd barrelled across the lawn and jumped up at Mike.

"Hey Max, it's good to see you too, boy!" He chuckled as the dog licked at him. The excited dog jumped down and ran over to David. A few feet away, he stopped dead and his tail tucked between his legs. Slowly, he edged towards David sniffing cautiously.

David crouched down and called Max to him, the dog crawled on his belly whining before rolling on his back submissively, wetting himself as the man reached to pet him.

"Come on puppy dog, it's only me," David crooned softly as he nuzzled the hound, being rewarded by a wet lick across the cheek.

"I don't know what's up with that mutt," David's father grumbled.

"Let's get inside, you boys must be hungry," their mother chimed in.

Later that night David laid in bed, his belly still distended from the earlier meal. He had eaten ravenously, his mother shocked as he demolished every scrap. The meat had been dry and tasteless and he yearned for a succulent steak, pink and juicy. He growled softly, imagining the fat and blood flooding his mouth with flavour and trickling down his throat. Fidgeting he struggled to find a comfortable position on the soft mattress, the duvet stiflingly hot.

Getting out of bed, he walked to the window throwing it wide open, letting cool air swirl around him. Sticking his head outside he took a deep breath, almost choking on the stench of the city that he had never noticed before. How he longed for the clean mountain air, the scent of nature in his nostrils. Returning to his bed he pulled the duvet onto the floor and curled up on it, his head resting on his knees as sleep eventually came.

In his dreams, David drifted ghostlike through the forest sights, sounds and smells stimulated his senses. His heart raced as he hunted, his prone body twitched and spasmed while his mind sprinted after his prey. As his mind buried his muzzle into the hot bloody flesh to feast, so his body calmed and finally he rested.

The morning came all too soon. David yawned and stretched before pulling the duvet round himself, cold in the morning air wafting in through the open window. He whined softly as his stomach rumbled; curling into a ball under the duvet, he tried to ignore it and go back to sleep. His belly just growled more insistently forcing him out from under the cover to seek nourishment. Pulling on a pair of sweat pants he padded silently downstairs to raid the kitchen.

Max looked up from his basket; tail thumping loudly, the dog whined nervously. David leant down and scratched between the splayed ears, Max panting happily at the attention.

"There's a good boy Max, you love me again then?" David chuckled. Max wagged his tail harder and nosed the boy's hand for more attention. "Shhh, keep the noise down lad," David whispered.

Opening the fridge he grabbed a chicken leg and gnawed at it while he poured a bowl of his favourite cereal and soaked it in milk. Chucking the now-bare chicken bone in the trash, he shovelled a heaped spoonful of cereal into his mouth and chewed while he cut some bread and put the slices in the toaster. He crunched and swallowed his way through the bowlful as he waited for his toast, vaguely aware that it just didn't taste the same. Now it was sickeningly sweet, nauseously overpowering the taste of anything else and what was worse the sugar rush he used to enjoy didn't happen. He wasn't sure that he could face eating that again. Putting the hot toast on a plate, he smeared butter over it and reached for the marmalade. The thought of more sugar turned his stomach, though, and he left the pot unopened.

Fearing his mother's wrath, he put the dirty dishes into the dishwasher before heading back upstairs to shower and dress, Max's claws scrabbling on the tiled floor as he followed his master. Reaching the sanctuary of his room, David closed the door and stripped off before heading into his en-suite bathroom. It only contained a shower cubicle and a small basin and was hardly big enough to dry off in but at least it gave him a degree of privacy. Standing under the hot spray, David quickly washed himself, his fingers wistfully stroking the tufts of fur that dotted his torso. Rinsing off the suds he just stood and let the hot water relax him, the heat soaking deep into his muscles. His mind wandered aimlessly through the events of the last few weeks and the changes he was experiencing.

With a sigh, David turned off the shower and dried himself before heading back to the bedroom, remembering to open the window to let out the steam. He just didn't want another lecture on mould from his mother. Feeling relaxed from his shower, he decided to go back to bed for a while. Climbing onto the bed he had to push Max over to get enough space to lie in, the dog reluctantly shifted a little bit before curling back up. The feel of fur against his skin was strangely comforting and David wrapped himself round the dog, nuzzling into his thick fur.

Several hours later his mother found them still in the same position, sleeping peacefully. Her first reaction was to shoo the dog back downstairs, both her boys knew the rules about having Max upstairs. But after a few seconds she relented and, quietly closing the door, she let them be.

The days passed slowly and the nights even slower unless David was curled up round the dog; only the feel and smell of his fur bought him any peace. Back at school for his final semester before graduation, David's concentration slipped and his grades began to fall alarmingly. Slowly he began to drift away from the friends he used to spend all his time with. Sure they still hung out together, spent nights gaming like they used to - but movie nights never happened now. They tried hard to include him, but more and more he begged off and the calls became less frequent. Mike tried to drag his brother along, not willing to let David shut himself away, and David often overheard Mike voicing his concern to their parents and to the others.

With his college future seeming to be at risk, David's mother took matters into her own hands.

David closed the front door behind him and sighed heavily, just glad to have another school day behind him.

"David?" His mother called from the kitchen.

"Yeah mom, it's me," he called back.

"Could you come in here please?" she asked.

David trudged wearily into the kitchen and leant against the counter.

"What's up, mom?"

"I do wish you wouldn't speak to me like one of your friends, David," she complained.

"Sorry mom. It's just been a long day," he replied jadedly.

She walked across the room and hugged him.

"I know you are having a hard time of things since your camping trip, and I am worried about you." She said, "The school has been on the phone again. Your grades are falling still further; you are moody and irritable all the time. This is your future we are talking about, David, and you cannot afford to risk your college scholarship place."

"I know mom. I am trying, really I am," David whined.

"I don't know what happened to you out there but obviously something did, and it has had a detrimental effect on you. You need to talk it through with someone, and as you won't talk to me or your father I have booked you some appointments with a therapist the school recommended. Whatever you discuss with him will be between the two of you," she continued.

"Awww mooom. I will be alright, I will try harder I promise," David whinged.

"This is not up for discussion young man, the appointments are booked and you will attend them even if I have to drag you there myself. Is that understood?" she snapped.

"Yes mom," David capitulated.

"Good, the first one is tomorrow afternoon, I will run you down after lunch."

"But it's Saturday mom, me and the guys had planned a gaming day."

"Then you will have to postpone it, or the three of them will have to play without you for a couple of hours. End of discussion, David!"

"Yes mom," David sighed and slunk off to his room and collapsed on the bed.

The following day, David found himself sitting on a couch in some office. As he waited he looked round the room, it was furnished minimally with just a desk off to one side and a bookcase against a wall. A comfortable armchair sat across from the couch where David waited, other than a few plants dotted round the room that was it. The most striking thing he noticed was the silence. No noise penetrated from outside the room giving a feeling of isolation. He jumped slightly as the door opened and a man walked in, closing and locking the door behind him.

David watched him as he crossed the room, probably in his mid-forties and around David's height with a slight paunch; he wouldn't have stood out from a crowd except for the way he carried himself. Very erect and confident, he had an aura about him that David couldn't ignore.

"Hello David," he said as he sat in the armchair. "I am Terry James, but please just call me Terry - there are no formalities here. Please don't be concerned about me locking the door, it is not to keep you in but to keep others from interrupting us."

"Hi," David grunted.

"Your mother has filled me in with some of the background as she sees it. If there is anything you want to talk about, then please feel free to do so. Whatever you say will be just between us, just try and relax and unburden yourself of what is bothering you. Okay?"

"And if I don't want to talk?" David asked.

"Then we will sit in silence for the time you are here, but why wouldn't you want to talk about it, David? I am not here to judge you in any way, I am just an ear to talk to: it doesn't really matter how I think or feel, this is about you dealing with whatever happened."

"And if it sounds ridiculous, too far-fetched to be real and that I am losing touch with reality? What then?"

"David, I am not a doctor, in the sense that I cannot prescribe medication, I cannot commit you for psychological examination. I can only repeat what I said before: I am not here to judge you, David: whatever you say will not go outside of this room. Nothing of what you say is recorded, no-one will know but you and me, not even your mother should she ask."

David sat silently for a while as he pondered what to tell the man, he didn't really trust him but there was something there under the surface that told him he could.

"Well," he started cautiously. "It was late, we had all gone to bed and I had to go and take a pee so I walked into the forest. When I finished, I got lost in the dark and ended up in this box canyon kinda thing. Suddenly there was this bright light and I was lifted into the air. Before I knew it, I was strapped to a table and these weird creatures started to experiment on me. They... they probed me and everything. Then I woke up in my tent and it was a week later," he blurted out.

"So David. Are you telling me that you were abducted by aliens?" Terry asked.

"Yeah, I guess," David gulped nervously.

"Really??"

"No," David sighed. "But what did happen is no more believable."

Terry stood up and sat on the couch next to the young man.

"David, let me try and help you a little." He spoke quietly, looking up at the boy. "I know roughly what happened to you, David."

"How can you? Even I am not sure," David said.

"Because I can smell him on you, David," Terry growled, his eyes blazing red for a few moments. "You are safe here; I can help you understand if you will let me."

"You are like him," David gasped scrabbling backwards on the couch, heart pounding in his chest.

"Please relax David, you are in no danger," Terry spoke calmly, trying to reassure the panicking teenager.

Slowly David's breathing eased and he began to relax again.

"So tell me what happened, David."

"Well, I was messing about, howling into a ravine at twilight, just to listen to the echoes you know? Then there was this howl in reply from across the gorge, kinda freaked us all out for a bit. But we went to sleep and I woke up needing to pee and walked out into the woods to do it. He was waiting for me there and I panicked and ran and he chased me," David started tentatively before pausing.

"Come to think of it he didn't so much chase me but rather just followed until I ran into a dead-end too exhausted to go on, cut and bleeding from all the undergrowth I blundered through. He fucked me there and I changed into a wolf like him. He said it would only be temporary and that I would return to my normal life afterwards."

"I see," Terry mused. "Did he bite you?"

"No, he didn't."

"So did he tell you anything more? Anything about himself?" Terry asked.

"Yeah. He said that he had been cursed to live alone until his life mate called to him. He said that I had called to him and if I was to be his mate I would have to return in a year to break the curse. He said that he had lived for centuries under this curse. Also that there were few Weres left in the world."

"Anything else?" Terry prompted.

"He told me to call him Jasper, that his birth name would be unpronounceable for me. We slept together, bred each other and then suddenly I woke up back in my tent as if nothing had happened. Other than a trail of fur across my body and a dream of him shedding tears over me before leaving."

"Damn!" Terry exclaimed. "My parents often told us a story of a time when the land was still young and wilderness was everywhere. That humans lived in small clans that were always at war with each other and struggling for dominance. They told of a tribe whose shaman tried to turn its warriors to Weres, and who was put to death for it. With his dying breath he cursed the youth that betrayed him to wander the world as a Were, alone for all eternity as he searched for his soul mate. That the curse would only be broken when he found true love, when that person willingly gave themselves to him and life as a Were. I thought he was just a myth that parents told their pups. Hell, I even tell it to my pups. Just one of those legends that gets passed from generation to generation and is embellished over the years. To find that he is real after all is just - staggering..."

The silence in the room grew palpable as both men lost themselves in thought.

"And how do you feel about all this, David?" Terry continued eventually.

"I really don't know. I have always had this feeling that I was incomplete, that there was an empty space in me. When I changed and was with him that space was full, I felt fulfilled at last. Now I am home I feel empty again, I yearn to have that back again. I need it but am frightened by what it may mean."

"David, life as a Were is not as bad as you might think: don't let your mind be clouded by silly horror films. There was a time when Weres were persecuted, bedevilled by a paranoid Church. Our numbers shrank very low at one time, but that has changed, people don't believe our existence any more. Our population has grown; now there are packs all over the world living normal lives as ordinary members of society. One of my pack works at the school, they recognised the signs in you, could smell the wolf in you. They are the reason you are here David, the reason I was recommended to help you. It is my function in the pack to help new Weres adjust to their new life. That he didn't bite you means the change isn't permanent yet, it will fade soon unless you return to him. If you do, we can help both of you assimilate into society, whether in this town or somewhere new. He has cut himself off for so long it will be hard for him, but the pack bonds are strong: they will support him through it."

"And if he doesn't wish to? He said he stays in his wolf form all the time."

"No-one can force him David, but the wilderness is shrinking, he will not be able to stay hidden forever. Eventually he will have to adapt or suffer the consequences and that risks us all."

The two sat in silence for a while as they pondered what had been said.

"I think that will do for today, David. Think about things, only you can decide what action to take but if there is anything you need to ask then don't hesitate to contact me, at any time of night or day," Terry said handing David a card. "Try not to cut yourself off from your family and friends, so you don't attract attention to yourself. And pick up your schoolwork; even if you do go back to him you will still need it when you return from the wilderness, as one day you must."

"Thank you, Terry. Just talking about it has helped, I don't feel like I am going crazy anymore, that it actually was real."

"I mean it David, don't bottle it up. If it is getting on top of you, then call me," Terry said, gripping David's shoulder.

"I will, and thanks again," David said, smiling for the first time in weeks.

**********

Over the weekend David's mood began to lift, and on the Monday morning he picked up his studies with a new vigour. Steadily his grades began to rise again and his friends welcomed the old David back into the fold. Soon life was pretty much back to normal with two exceptions: he still could only sleep soundly curled round Max and he would watch werewolf movies. Not that he forgot about Jasper, if anything knowing that he was real and waiting out there for David to return just made his heart ache more, his soul yearned for the completion it felt before. He just learned to cope with it, and if ever his moods started to darken he was on the phone to Terry and they managed to work it out between them.

Graduation came and went, and David managed to persuade his parents and his college to let him take a gap year before attending. Terry managed to find him a labouring job, it was hard but kept him from thinking too long and hard, life settled into a new pattern. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year passed by and before he knew it spring was on the horizon. He would have to make his decision soon and he began to become more introspective, spending more and more time on the phone to Terry. During one such call, David made up his mind.

"Terry, I need to ask a big favour," he said quietly.

"What do you need, David?"

"I have to go back to him this weekend, would you take me there? There is no-one else I can ask that wouldn't try to stop me."

"Are you sure, David? There will be no changing your mind after the next change, you will be a Were until the day you die," Terry asked.

"I am positive, I still feel empty without it, without him. I know it is a lot to ask of you and I will understand if you say no."

"Hold on a minute, David," Terry replied and David could hear muffled voices at the other end of the line before Terry returned. "Alright David I'll take you, the wife says I will be sleeping in the spare room for the foreseeable future if I don't!" he chuckled.

"Thanks Terry, I couldn't have got through this without you."

And so, early on Saturday morning, David kissed Max goodbye and crept silently out of the house carrying a bag with a few essentials should Jasper and he ever return. Walking round the block, he climbed into Terry's waiting car. In silence they set off, David gazing pensively into the distance as he left his old life behind. He came to with a start as the car pulled to a stop, looking around he saw familiar forest surrounding them, he could feel it calling to him.

"We are here David," Terry said. "Last chance to change your mind."

"Nah, I am even more certain now, Terry," David replied.

"Well good luck, and bring him back to us, the pack will be waiting."

"I will do my best Terry, it may take a while but we will meet again."

With that David hefted his backpack onto his shoulders and headed up the trail never looking back. The slope pulled at his calves as he trudged onwards towards his destiny. Eventually he came to their old campsite and he shucked off his pack, and sitting on a rock he took a long draught from his canteen and waited. As the sun began to set he walked to the ledge and looked down over the wooded ravine, the sky burning as the sun sank below the horizon. Taking a deep breath he howled into the void, his call echoing off the bluffs.

Silence.

Breathing deeply he howled again, louder than before.

Still silence.

With a sinking heart he sucked in another deep breath, but then a deep voice growled in his ear.

"You came little one; I feared that you would not."

Strong furred arms wrapped round his waist pulling David back into a hard, furry chest.

"I have counted down the days, Jasper, nothing could have kept me away," David replied as a wet nose nuzzled into his neck and snuffled, suddenly the wolf stiffened and growled.

"I smell another on you little one, tell me of them," Jasper snarled.

"There are more Weres than you think, Jasper, they sought me out to help me understand what happened before and what was to come. They are no threat to us, we will talk more about them another day," David said, turning to face the wolf. "I am yours and yours alone, Jasper," he continued, leaning forward to kiss the wolf on the muzzle.

"Very well, now come we must leave here little one."

"Alright, but first I must do one thing." David said, pulling his mobile phone from his pocket, knowing there was a signal here from last time when his friends had called out. A sure sign that 'civilization' was closing in on Jasper's sanctuary. Clicking a few keys he sent a pre-written text before opening the phone and removing the battery and the sim card.

The wolf took David's hand in his paw and led him away in the forest. Hundreds of miles away three phones lit up as they received the text and three friends read the same message:

"Hey guys, Ive had to leave n deal with things, pls dont try to find me or report me missing. Just kno that I am safe n happy and I will return one day. Mike, there is a letter in my room for mom n dad cld u give it to them. Sorry for ne upset this causes. If u cant accept then come to the campsite in a yr and call me. Love u guys."

Jasper led David through the forest to the cave, the man stumbling over things in the dark. As they entered the cave the luminescence gave enough light for David to see shapes but he had to get very close to make out any detail.

"It is time little one." Jasper rumbled as they stepped onto the pile of skins. David slowly stripped off his clothes dropping them where he stood, the wolf growling softly as he watched. Stepping up to the wolf, he pressed up against him, fur soft against the man's skin. The wolf embraced the man tightly as he slowly lowered him to the floor.

David lay on top of the wolf running his fingers through the thick fur, Jasper gasping as nails brushed over his hidden nipples before fingers returned to tease the nubs erect. David nuzzled into the wolf's chest fur to replace his fingers with teeth and tongue, sending sparks through the wolf, his thick sheath beginning to swell in response. David felt the hot slick flesh expanding against his thigh as his mouth teased the wolf still further, Jasper's paw pressing on the back of the man's head pulling him firmly onto the hard nipple.

The wolf's other paw ran down David's spine, the pads rough against the hairless flesh, until it rested on one of the man's buttocks. Squeezing and massaging the mound of flesh, Jasper slipped a claw between the cheeks and began to gently brush it over the hidden rosebud. His soft caresses caused the clenched pucker to twitch and unfurl allowing the claw to slip inside.

Jasper pressed home his advantage and pushed his digit further into the man's passage, the tip of his claw just brushing against the prostate, causing David to arch his back and gasp loudly as he pulled away from the wolf's chest. David moaned as he pressed back against the invader, the increased pressure on his love nut pushing pre from the tip of his already aching shaft. Jasper caught the trickle of fluid on his paw and raising it to his muzzle he licked it off, smacking his lips appreciatively.

"Turn round little one," he ordered as his digit slipped from David's hole.

David manoeuvred himself round and came face to tip with the wolf's cock as it began to emerge from its furry cave. Sticking out his tongue he tentatively licked at the spongy pink flesh as he felt the wolf's hot breath huff at the base of his balls. David lapped firmly at the wolf's growing cock and got rewarded by a spurt of pre-cum spattering across his face. He inhaled sharply as the wolf's hot wet tongue began long, languorous licks from his sack along his perineum to his fluttering pucker. The wet tip softly probed his hole before returning to his balls.

Without warning Jasper pressed harder and the thick rubbery muscle forced its way past his ring and writhed over his prostate. Within minutes David was gasping for breath as the wolf's tongue drove him wild, his need to be filled increasing by the second.

Diving down, David hungrily sucked Jasper's cock into his mouth, sinking as far down as he could. He felt watery pre coating his tongue, the musky coppery taste of the wolf's flesh filling his senses. Feverishly, Jasper worked his tongue round the man's innards stretching him further open and filling the space with slobber. Driven by lust, Jasper grabbed the man by the hips and pulled him off his chest; pushing him facedown into the skins, the wolf towered over the prone man.

"Give yourself to me little one," Jasper growled.

David struggled up onto all fours, his butt facing Jasper. Looking over his shoulder at the wolf, he swallowed nervously, the pulsating cock that bounced between the wolf's thighs looked huge and for the first time doubt momentarily entered David's mind - but then was gone.

"I am yours, now and forever Jasper, I give myself to you willingly."

With a snarl the wolf threw himself on the man's back, his arms gripping David's flanks as his thrusting hips stabbed his wolfhood at the proffered rump, seeking out the hot velvet passage that was awaiting it. Jasper felt his tip hit its target and sink an inch into the man's tight ring. He paused for a moment or two as the heat of the man's passage seeped into his cock, confirming that he had indeed entered. Then with quick, short pushes, he drove the rest of his shaft into his mate, inch by glorious inch.

David gasped and panted as he was stretched wider and wider by the wolf until finally he felt the bulbs of his forming knot pressing against his ring, his buttocks forced wide apart to accommodate it. David felt the full weight of the wolf on his back as arms wrapped underneath him, stretching across his chest as paws gripped his shoulders and pulled him back onto the impaling monster. David could feel the wolf's drool dripping onto his shoulder as Jasper growled in his ear.

Jasper began to rock his hips, slowly and gently at first but quickly the inner beast took over and he was soon pounding his mate hard and remorselessly, his breath coming in sharp huffs as he drove in deep. David braced himself against the onslaught, the pounding his prostate was being subjected to overwhelmed any desire to resist and he grunted and moaned in time with the wolf's thrusts.

The wolf's thrusting became ragged and more desperate, his knot pressing harder and harder against the man's ring. Jasper gripped the man's shoulder in his jaws and bit down hard, the sharp teeth easily puncturing the skin and warm blood began to seep into his muzzle. The pain in his shoulder distracted David and his pucker gave in to the insistent pressure and Jasper's knot forced its way inside. The abused ring clamped tight behind it, sealing the knot inside and completing the union. The wolf grunted and writhed as his orgasm hit hard, his furry balls twitched against David's taint as they emptied their seed into the man's innards.

Finally spent, the exhausted wolf toppled sideways, keeping the man in his grip and they lay spooned together, the wolf's cock still firmly buried in his mate. For a little while they just lay still, panting heavily. Slowly David could feel heat radiate from the bite on his shoulder and from his rear end, gradually it spread through his body joining together as one. No more than a warm comforting tingle at first quickly the heat built until it felt like molten lava flowed in his veins. As the man writhed in pain, Jasper held him tight to his chest, whispering encouragement in his ear. With his throbbing cock still buried deep in the man, the wolf could feel muscles start to twitch and spasm, David's ring and passage convulsing round the sensitive flesh.

David gulped in short shallow breaths, the searing pain too intense for anything more. Pops and cracks echoed round the cave as his joints loosened and his skeleton began to reform. Bones lengthened and grew stronger, feet and hands reformed into paw shapes. Thick black nails began to shoot from the tips of his fingers and toes pushing out the old clear human ones. As they grew the points sharpened and the nails began to curve into claws.

David's skull began to reform. As the jaw began to extend forwards, it pulled his nose with it, the cartilage melting away as it flattened against the growing muzzle. His ears grew pointed tips and as his skull lengthened and flattened, they moved up his head where they stood erect. His skin began to boil as muscles expanded, any spare fat melting away as they grew rapidly. Cords of steel-hard muscle stretched across his chest, abdominals grew hard and deep troughs threw them into definition. His arms bulged outwards, biceps and triceps strained against his skin as a thin dusting of jet black fur began to sprout. His reformed legs grew thick and powerful, easily able to support his new body to run all day if needed, and the speed and strength to hunt and feed.

David growled deep in his chest as pain lanced up his spine, slowly it began to lengthen, and Jasper could feel it pushing back against his belly. Rapidly the fur spread across David's body covering him in a thick black pelt save the white crescent down his chest. The wound in his shoulder where Jasper had sunk his teeth healed over and a ring of white fur marked where the teeth had pierced. He was forever marked by his mate for all to see. The fire in his blood drew in and centred itself on his groin, his now furry ball sack swelling as his testicles grew full and heavy, the skin covering his cock grew thick fur and separated away into a retractable sheath.

Feeling his mate's cock finally pull out of his rump, David stood and howled loudly, thrashing his new tail from side to side. Turning back to his mate his blue human eyes faded and dark red canine ones blazed in their place.

Instead of seeing Jasper the wolf lying there he saw a human, about his age, long jet-black hair hung over caramel skin. Dark eyes set in a high cheek-boned face gazed back at him. David hungrily ran his eyes over the man taking in the lithe muscular body, the long powerful legs, skin glistening in the soft light. A strand of cum still hung from the half hard cock that nestled between his smooth thighs.

"Jasper?" David growled

"Yes little one," the human replied. "This is my human form. Now you must do to me what I did to you, to seal our bond and finally break the curse." With that the man rolled onto his stomach and raised his rump. "I give myself to you little one."

David dropped to all fours behind the man and stuck his wet nose against the exposed pucker, inhaling deeply he could smell the wolf's deep heady musk. Lapping eagerly at the pulsing ring he worked his tongue inside feeling the muscular passage sucking him in deeper. Working his tongue over the man's love nut, he felt Jasper squirm in pleasure. As he worked the eager hole, filling it with his drool, the need to breed his mate grew stronger turning into a ravenous hunger that burned inside him.

Pulling his tongue out of the man's loose and dripping hole, he climbed onto Jasper's back and gripped his flanks tightly. Humping gently David's dripping spade-headed member sought out the man's hole, quickly sinking deep in the hot, welcoming passage. A feral lust swept over David and he lost himself in the breeding, fucking that hole hard and fast. Hot breath panted into Jasper's ear as he grunted and groaned under the onslaught.

David felt the base of his cock begin to swell. And the blasts of pleasure that erupted from it as he pressed it between the man's buttocks surpassed anything he had ever experienced before. And the need to bury it inside his mate became overwhelming. Thrusting harder against the resistant entrance, he leant forward and sank his fangs into Jasper's shoulder just as the ring gave way. The tightness of the hole as he slipped through it sent an explosion of pleasure to his brain and it had hardly closed behind him when his balls erupted sending spurt after spurt of thick cream into his mate. Releasing his hold on Jasper's shoulder, David collapsed on top of him, pulling both of them down onto the skins.

As Jasper began to change to his wolf form, so sparks of green energy crackled through his fur, steadily the energy formed into a ball that floated above the two prone wolves before dispersing and fading away.

A year later, three men stood high on a ledge looking out over a wooded valley as the sun set behind the opposite ridge. As the light faded and the moon rose they shouted out into the dark.

"David."

"DAVID."

Their cries echoed off the valley walls and faded away. They stood in silence for a while before they called again.

Still silence reigned.

Hanging their heads sadly, they turned to leave but then one spoke.

"Guys, this is my brother we are talking about here. We are doing this all wrong. You remember what he was like here?" with that he gave a quiet howl to remind his friends.

Smiling ruefully at the memory they turned back to the edge and breathing deep they howled out into the darkness. Their cries echoed back and forth as they stood expectantly as the noise faded away.

A few moments later, a single howl sounded on the other side of the valley. A few seconds later it was joined by another. The two howls merged and grew stronger, echoing back and forth as two souls joined together and sung their joy to the moon. Their song became almost tangible; the spring leaves rustling on the trees as a soft breeze sprang up. Mike felt the hair on his neck stand on end as a shiver ran up his spine.

The three men turned and started back to their camp, happy that their friend had found his answers. Mike sniffed and wiped his eyes, his emotions pulling him in different directions. Alan noticed and wrapped an arm round his shoulders comfortingly.

"Be happy for him buddy." He said

"I am." Mike replied "but I miss him so bad. I had hoped to see him again."

"He said he would be back one day, just trust him."

"I do, but I will be back next year and every year after until I see him again." Mike vowed

"I hear you buddy, and we will be with you all the way." Alan replied

"For sure." Paul confirmed

A pact made.

They would never forget.
