A space station security guard finds more than he bargains for while defending a priceless gem-- but is the gem the real target?

A story sale commission for handofblades (on FA)

I'm always going on about how the Mistress is supposed to be a super-villain, but as of yet have not had her do anything particularly villainous; so I wirote this to fix that!

The next handofblades story will be a direct continuation, though in a different tone and a different situation more in line with earlier Mistress stories.

Oh... and otters!

Anyway, enjoy guys!

"Welcome to Aztec 6, citizen! Delight in the wonders of the new age while basking in the comfortable familiarity of the old. Here, housed in a shell of spinning steel we have crafted a home away from home for those seeking to experience the treasures of ancient times, or simply looking for some fun in any of our six licensed casinos--"

The message spat out its greeting message for the tenth time that morning; Zavis wasn't paying attention. The brown-scaled Ball Python had heard it a thousand times already and as he sipped at the steaming mug of coffee in his hand he made a point of not hearing it again. Sitting before him a bank of monitors blinked between a series of images. The images--fed into the small security office by dozens of cameras set throughout the expansive space station--held his interest as tightly as the robotic message which continued to sell the services of the station to new arrivals.

"For this week only, come to the Fidel Fedori memorial gallery and witness the beauty of the Tangerine Dream--a unique gem that's bound to bind you with its mysterious allure!"

The artificially feminine voice trailed into silence at last and Zavis glanced towards the blue-furred otter who sat beside him.

"Are the security measures in place for the exhibit, Conri?"

"Of course" the otter replied, his own attention focused on a clipboard which sat on the monitor-controls in front of him. "That gem ain't going anywhere. We've got laser-trips, cameras, guards and even pressure-sensitive panels hidden under the tiles. Only way anyone is getting in there is if we let them."

Zavis didn't answer but simply turned his attention to the monitors which continued their flickering rotations silently. Hundreds of people milled about on the arrival decks and somehow he was expected to know who the troublemakers would be before they caused any mischief. The reptile sighed as he leaned back in his chair and downed the remainder of his coffee, grimacing at the sludge which had begun to build up at the bottom of the cup.

"We can build a goddamn station rotating two-thousand miles above the Earth and they can't make coffee that doesn't taste like it'd been scraped off the bathroom floor" the snake hissed out irritably.

"Problem, chief?"

"Just a bad feeling, Conri. I'll be happy once that gem is gone"

"Nobody's gonna steal it, boss" the otter said, trying to placate the moody snake. "We got the modern equivalent of the walls of Troy up here!"

"They sacked Troy, Conri" Zavis answered, grinning despite himself as he saw the look of surprise cross the other male's features.

"They did?"

"Yeah. They did."

"Preparations are set, ma'am!"

"Excellent work, boy. Proceed to arm the first wave and ensure they're aware of our target. If we catch them by surprise we may get exactly what we've come for."

"Yes ma'am!"

She watched as the slender neko scurried out of the room. Her orange eyes followed the svelte curve of his ass in the tight black lycra leotard She had assigned to all of Her boys for this mission. Thigh-high black socks made the boy's legs seem all the longer as they carried him from Her view along with the creamy expanse of his bare thighs, the wisp at the tip of his tail the last bit of him to go. She sighed adoringly but focused Herself immediately, the time had come to strike.

The boys readied themselves at their stations throughout the command bridge and after several seconds She glanced towards a tiger sitting near her.

"Open ship-wide comms" She demanded with a gentleness that had the boy hopping to obey. As She leaned back in Her seat, staring at the space-station growing inexorably closer, She spoke.

"Listen up, boys. We're proceeding on course to Aztec 6. We will be launching boarding-pods momentarily. Remember your mission! Board, neutralize resistance and clear the way for me. I expect the station to be subdued within half-an-hour, and as long as none of you fail me, that is exactly what will happen. Failure is not an option, boys; don't disappoint me."

It was not a speech that would inspire most, but it was more than enough for Her boys. Even the bridge crew had turned to watch Her as She spoke and as Her tangerine eyes trailed across them they practically melted one by one; Her boys were good boys and She had no doubt that they would do their utmost to please Her today.

"Launch"

The single word drew a peal of chatter from several of the bridge stations as they finalized the approach vector and passed along the order only when those on the other end of the conversation were in a position to follow it. She watched on the main screen as thin lights trailed from behind the dozen cylindrical craft that had just launched from the main ship; each of the craft were loaded with a payload of eager henchboys ready to lay themselves on the line for the sake of Her pleasure.

The attack had begun.

"Hey Zav?" Conri looked up from his work, frowning at a single red blinking light on the console of their security station.

"Yeah?" Zavis' head turned slightly away from the coffee machine as he tried to--unsuccessfully--coax another cup out of the coffee-pot.

"Proximity sensor is acting up."

The python hissed under his breath as his inattention allowed luke-warm coffee to splash on his hand--it didn't burn but it was just one more thing he didn't want to deal with right now.

"Boot up the external cameras, lets take a look." Turning to make the short walk back to his seat the snake was left defenceless as the floor lurched beneath his feet. Stumbling forward and grabbing the chair with his coffee-stained hand, the python couldn't stop himself from cursing loudly in surprise. Immediately klaxons began to sound and the monitors burst to life with people panicking as only those who know something is wrong, but don't know what, can. Bodies crashed into one another as their mouths opened in silent screams at some unseen horror. The scene played out before the stunned eyes of the two security guards for nearly a full minute before the cause of this sudden break in routine presented itself.

"What the fuck is that..." Conri breathed out unabashedly. Zavis was in no mood to correct his colleague's on-duty language. On one of the monitors--one located near the main gravity control--a small squad of males who had no business being there appeared. They wore what seemed to be black leotards beneath a simple hooded top and they moved like shadows along the white-walled corridor; whoever the strangers were, they had been trained. Each of them held a pistol-sized blaster that they used to cover each other's movements. They were on screen for only a moment but that was all the time it took for Zavis to feel a knot growing in his belly--his bad feeling had just been vindicated.

"Grab some blasters and headsets, get in touch with the others." Zavis didn't look away from the monitors as he began issuing his orders to Conri. More of the strangely dressed invaders were appearing throughout the station; they were everywhere, and they were clearly organized. "It looks like we're under attack." Despite the calmness he heard in his own voice the python's mind was a whirlpool of fitful thoughts; who were they? Why were they here? Why now!? Letting his tail slap against the floor behind him--a bad habit which reared its ugly head whenever he grew nervous--the python grabbed for a blaster as Conri held it out to him.

"Sir--?" Conri began.

"Get the others. Angel and Ket are stationed a few sectors away--they'll be our best bet. Try and raise them, I'm going to secure the area as best I can." Zavis said.

Slipping on a simple navy blue PVC jacket the python hoisted his blaster and headed for the door. The blasters were standard issue, non-lethal, stun guns, made from a single polymer mould and designed to fit comfortably in a clenched fist with a knuckle-guard that hung over the trigger. The weapons discharged a powerful bolt of photonic force that would not only incapacitate anything it hit, but refract the energy away from the body at the precise second of impact and prevent any lasting damage from occurring--they had been dubbed Flashguns by the security forces on the station and for the first time in his eight months on Aztec 6, Zavis found himself readying to use it on a living target.

As soon as he stepped out into the hall the situation suddenly seemed more real to the brown scaled python. The white walls were awash with red spinning lights and the sounds of muffled screams reached him as they reverberated down the long empty corridors. Beneath the screams, however, the snake could pick out the sound of laser fire, the short steady pulsing beat telling him that the invaders had no qualms about using their weapons. Frowning, the python turned and began to hurry in the general direction of the gravity controls. The group he had seen moving in that direction on the monitors were a niggling distraction in the back of his mind; what did they want there?

Reaching an intersection the python slowed and peered around. Only twenty feet away a squad of four invaders had created a small barricade. Two crouched behind an overturned table that must have been drug out from one of the adjoining guest rooms, and the other two lay flat on their bellies. All of them were aiming their weapons down the hallway in Zav's direction. This was it, there was no getting around them and if the python tried to find an alternate route he may be too late to stop whatever they had planned at the gravity controls.

The python moved swiftly; the snake darted from one side of the intersection to the other even as he fired haphazardly down the hallway. Blue pulses of light shot from the muzzle of his pistol and though a few yelps of surprise escaped the gathered cluster of henchboys, their own shots rang out in response. Peering back around the corner and ignoring as poorly aimed shots zipped past his head, Zavis lifted his gun and continued to fire. One of the crouching boys grunted out as a blast vanished into his upper-chest. As the shot refracted away from him, however, it appeared as though sparks were flying from the point of impact. The boy who had been struck cried out and fell back on his ass, the hood of his shirt falling back with the force of the hit and exposing a cheetah who couldn't have been more than 18. The boy's muzzle cracked in a heady howl even as he collapsed onto his back and out of Zavis' sight; the other three didn't let up.

They exchanged shots for several minutes before a familiar voice called out from the other end of the hall.

"Hey boys, over here!"

The three remaining invaders turned in surprise--the two who had been laying on their bellies rising to their knees--only for two of them to let out loud shrieks. Zavis couldn't see the impact of the lasers, but he knew someone down there had just opened fire. The two struck boys shuddered helplessly as the powerful impacts of the Flashgun sent their bodies into mild shock. One of the boys--a rather handsome tiger--twisted as he fell from behind the cover which had protected him only moments earlier. The boy's cock was noticeably hard in the confines of the leotard he wore beneath his hoodie and as he tumbled to lay across the boy Zavis had zapped, thick cum erupted from his rigid dick; Zavis made no attempt to understand why, perhaps it was a side-effect of the gun, or perhaps there was something wrong with these boys. Regardless, the result was the same for the second boy as he stumbled before collapsing into a heap. The remaining boy rose to his feet and lifted his gun towards the unseen assailant at the far end of the hall only to get blasted from behind by the Ball Python. Like the others the boy howled as he fell to his knees, collapsing forward to lay face-down amongst his fallen comrades even as sticky cream oozed into his unorthodox uniform.

Zavis moved immediately. With his Flashgun still raised he bolted down the hallway towards the mess of sticky, tangled bodies. Ahead of him he could see the owner of the voice from earlier doing the same.

"Nice to see you, Angel"

"Fuckin' lucky to see me you mean, runt" answered the woman. At 6'7" the large grey scaled snake-morph stood taller than even Zavis. "These kids giving you trouble?" she added as she toed at one of the limp bodies which lay at the two guards' feet--all of them still breathing but out cold.

"No more than you do"

The woman snorted and slid her own jacket off, wearing only a simple black tanktop beneath it. A series of red triangular markings ran down the woman's back and as she turned to face the direction she'd come from, Zavis couldn't help but stare.

"Where's Ket?" Zavis asked, stepping around the girl even as he stepped over the body of the cheetah he'd blown away, trying to ignore the still-stiff cocks that remained barely trapped in their outfits.

"Sent him to the gravity controls. Seemed to be where they were heading. Any idea what's going on?"

"No, but that's where I was heading too. Lets get a move on. I have a feeling this has something to do with the Tangerine Dream and I'm sure it'll be our asses if something happens to it." There was no time to go back and get Conri; the blue otter was on his own for now.

The two snakes moved with a purpose, the sound of their feet drowned out by the alarms still screeching from the station's P.A system. The sound of distant gunfire told them the other guards stationed around Aztec 6 were still in the fight, but the sounds were growing fainter and getting farther away.

As Zavis and Angel broke out into an open plaza, more boys appeared. Bodies lay strewn about the ground, some hanging limply over the backs of the benches which had been set up to provide a clear view of the large paneled windows that opened out into the star-studded void. Even as red sparking lasers filled the air around the two, Angel dropped to a knee behind one of the benches and pressed her fingers against the neck of a motionless male mouse.

"Still alive. They're stunning them, not killing them."

"Good. Lets return the favour, shall we?" Zavis answered as he slid in beside her.

The two snakes rose from behind the row of seating and opened fire. Immediately one of the gathered boys threw his paws up and cried out as sparks flew from just above his belly. The svelte puma sprawled atop the planter he had been hiding behind. His hips writhed as he shot pulse after pulse of thick, musky cum before finally falling still, paws still splayed and his face turned up sightlessly into the hood of his uniform. Boys slid from cover to cover as they tried to find some angle that would help them dispose of the two pesky serpents, but the combined experience of Zavis and Angel were more than enough to hold them at bay.

"They don't have very good aim, do they?" hissed Angel between clenched jaws as she ducked briefly behind the cover of the bench before rising again. Training a shot on a scurrying feline, the girl blasted the young cat right off of his feet before he could find new cover. The boy spun as he fell, landing on his back and thrusting his hips up into a powerful arch that only highlighted the cum spilling from the legholes of his leotard. The boy fell into a heap but Angel's attention had already slipped to a pair of boys who were taking turns popping from cover to fire, only to duck back behind the information desk they had claimed as theirs.

"There's too many, we need to get out of here before they corner us." Zavis ordered bluntly, as though he had any say over what his fellow serpent did! Angel--to her credit--nodded and gestured towards a second bank of benches that would provide cover right up close to the information desk, and the exit that lay beyond. A shot nearly skimmed the woman's head; she crouched lower before growling at the smaller male.

"Go!"

Zavis didn't need to be told twice. As shots pumped into the multi-layered plastic that formed the windows behind him, Zavis ran. He expected to be thrown off his feet any second, but the blast never came. The python was vaguely aware of Angel shouting at no-one in particular behind him as her Flashgun hopped with a bevy of shots. A cry from somewhere else in the room told Zavis her cover-fire wasn't nearly as random as the pace at which she fired implied.

Falling flat onto his belly behind the second bank of benches, the python began to slither--dimly aware of the appropriateness of such a movement as he did--towards the far end. If the pair of boys realized what he was doing they could easily hold their position and wait for him to expose himself to their guns, but it was a risk he had to take. There was no immediate sign that they were any the wiser, however, and when the snake finally reached the far end of the benches he pushed himself a little further and grinned as he found himself staring at the exposed sides of both boys. They were too busy staring at Angel as she shouted threats and obscenities at any boy who'd listen to notice the python line up his shots.

When Zavis opened fire it was too late for either of the boys to do anything but turn to meet their fate head-on. The first boy fell awkwardly onto his ass as his whole body jerked with the impact of the snake's shot. His mouth fell open in a soundless cry as his eyes widened in surprise. Toppling backwards the young-looking snow leopard's legs kicked up before falling back to the ground, spread wide with his soft thigh-fur bristling between the long black stockings he wore and the lewdly tented crotch of his leotard. He was still cumming when the second boy turned and took a pair of shots to the smooth expanse of his belly. The black panther clenched his jaws, eyes squeezing shut and teeth grinding. Zavis was afforded a front-row seat to the impressive orgasm that rocked the boy's lean body, pungent cum spraying into his leotard as he sat on his knees above the squirming body of the leopard. Like the leopard, however, the panther had no chance. Falling forward, he lay belly-to-belly with his former partner as they writhed helplessly; their bodies clung desperately to consciousness but they inevitably fell limp as the python looked on in mild amusement.

"This is almost fun" Zavis muttered under his breath before realizing Angel's taunts and threats had fallen silent. The python was breathing heavily as he rose to his feet, the remainder of the boys in the room breaking off the attack and falling back; they had clearly lost the advantage in more ways than one. Angel, however, was no-where to be seen. It wasn't the first time the girl had taken off without telling him where she was going, and if the speed with which the boys were piling out by the far exit was any indication, he knew exactly where she'd gone.

Ducking out of the opposite exit the python continued on his path towards the gravity controls. As he moved, more bodies began to appear throughout the corridors; some of them guards, some civilians, and a good number of them the black-clad invaders. Occasionally one of the mysterious boys would appear, a straggler or perhaps sent simply to patrol the areas they believed to have been cleared already. Whatever reason they had for being there, Zavis dispatched them with a growing amount of pleasure.

It was as the python finally reached the entrance to the gravity maintenance chamber that A lithe foxboy with a pair of surprisingly large feathered wings tucked against his back stumbled into the python's field of view, turning only to find the guard's weapon already raised and pointed at him. Panic flashed across the vulpine's thin face as his paws shot up immediately.

"Whoa, 'ey! Don't shoot!"

Zavis simply charged forward, grabbing the boy and slamming him into the wall with enough force to knock the wind right out of the smaller male's lungs.

"What're you doing here?"

"She wants something" the boy practically squeaked out, trying to catch his breath even as the python twisted the fox's arm, pinning his body against the wall face-first. "Somethin' about a dream she 'ad!"

"The Tangerine Dream?"

"S-Somethin' like that, come on, le'go!"

Zavis held onto the boy for several more seconds, trying to decide what to do with the trembling fox. Blasting him would be the safest option, but something about the fox kept the python from doing just that; pity perhaps, or something else... it was like a whisper in the back of his brain coaxing him to let the shivering male go. Whatever it was, Zavis pulled the boy away from the wall and gave him a shove down the corridor that nearly sent the boy sprawling over the body of a fallen civilian.

"Get out of here, if I see you turn around even for a second I'm putting you down. Got it?"

The fox started to agree, but just as he opened his mouth to do so, the gravity disappeared.

Zavis had been on weightless simulators before but he had always been prepared for them. This time it was as though he had just been thrown out a window; his feet left the floor and for a second he was certain he would slam into the roof but instead he found himself tumbling in place several feet from the floor. The fox, however, seemed to have been prepared for this. His wings extended and like a bird's and he used them to buffet himself towards the flailing python; though they were weightless, there was still plenty of air to help the boy's wings carry him swiftly. The shaky uncertainty that had wracked the fox only seconds earlier had vanished, teeth bared in a playful predator's grin.

The fox's grin turned to a grimace of surprise, however, as Zavis righted himself. His feet kicked in the air as though he were swimming in the air, not moving from his position despite those kicking feet. The fox's wings tore at the air as the python lifted his weapon and lined up a shot at the frantic boy; though he could fly, the vulpine couldn't manoeuvre in the tight confines of the ship's interior. When Zavis fired, the boy braced himself for the impact that rocked his young body from head to toe. He squealed out helplessly as his forward momentum kept him moving towards the python even as the fox's body reacted as the others had; warm cum sprayed from his rigid dick, the lack of gravity causing it to pool around his tip before his movements smeared it into his crotchfur.

Zavis was far more concerned with the hundred and fifty pounds or so of foxboy barrelling towards him, now uncontrollably as his body bucked and went still. With the gravity out now, it could only mean they were ready to make their move on the Tangerine Dream. Gritting his teeth the python did the only thing he could. As the fox ploughed into him, the snake simply let the boy's momentum carry him down the corridor and right towards the entrance to the gravity control room! The doors on the station were largely automated and if the sensor could pick him up in time it might just--

The door slid open just as the two bodies reached it. The fox's back clipped the opening door and both were spent spiralling awkwardly into the room. Releasing the limp fox's body, Zavis tried to right himself and was met with the sight of three boys, armed with what appeared to be pulse-rifles, staring at him. Heavy boots covered their feet and calves, though they still wore the same uniform as the others. The boots had some kind of magnetic lock with the floor and much to Zavis' dismay they had every advantage in this situation.

"Oh dear, what have we here?" The same voice which had been urging him to release the foxboy, now spoke openly. "I'd suggest you drop your weapon, boy. I'd hate to have to order my boys here to deal with you in a less elegant manner than courtesy dictates."

The boys stood silent, ready to carry out any orders they were given as the voice continued its almost teasing serenade of the helpless python. Its owner stepped out from behind the primary coolant towers of the gravity control systems, their blue light reflecting strangely off of the piercing orange eyes that now drank in the sight of Zavis' tense form. She was tall, that much was obvious, but something about Her prevented the python from seeing much else of her; it was as though the connection between his eyes and his mind had been severed; though he saw Her, he couldn't understand what he was seeing.

"My name is unimportant" She continued, "You may call me The Mistress if you wish to hang onto such formalities, however. My purpose is what intrigues you more anyway, isn't it?" She coo'ed as She stepped towards the python. Her seemingly formless body held some vestige of beauty, at least that much registering in the python's inexplicably clouding mind. His arm lifted, Flashgun lifting with it.

"Oh dear," she continued, "You ARE a stubborn one, aren't you?" Her laugh filled the python's mind, tickling at every neuron at once and eliciting a cry from the male as the strange sensation overtook every thought in his brain for a single hazy second; it was not pain, it was something else, something new.

"T-The Tangerine Dream" Zavis stammered out as his hands lifted to hold his head.

"What's that, dear?"

"You're here for the Tangerine Dream" he answered more forcibly than he'd intended. She only smiled and stepped forward to drag a delicate set of fingers across his cheek.

"Not quite, boy. I'm here to share it. I'm here to set you free from the shackles that you have placed upon yourself; the same shackles that everyone wears when they think they're happy, but don't know what happiness truly is." Sighing out, She stooped to pet at the whiskers of the prone foxboy who lay at her feet. "Oh dear, I suppose we'll just need to train harder, won't we Faa?" She spoke to the unconscious fox as though he could hear her, the disappointment in her voice carrying with it a playfulness that Zavis could only guess at.

When those orange eyes rose to meet Zavis' own yellow serpentine gaze, he shuddered helplessly in their grasp.

"You--You won't get away with this..." Zavis breathed out slowly. Thoughts of Ket flashed through the python's mind; Angel had said Ket had been stationed here, and he hadn't seen the otter laying in the hall--perhaps he was just waiting for a chance to strike.

"Ket, come out here, dear." She said, as though able to pluck the very thought from Zavis' head--and with it his hope of rescue. A brown otter stepped out from the shadows, his guard uniform gone and the boy left nude with his rigid prick oozing pre-cum from its tip as he smiled up at Her adoringly.

"Yes ma'am?"

"Tell our friend how great it feels to be such a good boy" she purr'ed out at the otter, turning to smile affectionately at the squirming otter.

"Oh, Zavis! It's wonderful! She's not lying, at all. You always say yourself how tired you are of other people's bullshit--" the otter began only to be interrupted by a stern look from those orange eyes. "S--Sorry, ma'am" he stammered out before continuing, "Just hear her out!"

Zavis listened but he didn't hear, his thoughts were too fuzzy, too jumbled, as though his brain were a jigsaw puzzle and someone had taken it apart and left it scattered around his skull. Only those eyes made any sense to him as he struggled to piece together what was happening.

"Now come boy, forget that bauble and allow me to show you a true Tangerine Dream." Her voice was almost a song to the groggy python and as he stared into those eyes he found himself sliding into them, swimming in their depths and drowning in them until everything was orange--his thoughts, his body, the room, Ket, his dreams, his hopes, his delight and finally all he was; all of it was orange, and in that sweet colour he found warmth.

"Yes ma'am"
