#11 of Started with a Rock: Arc 2 - The Reunion

A bit more violence, but nothing too graphic.

All at once, they released their attacks, Fire, Fighting, Electric, and they converged. Kyn remained silent during the whole exchange, fearing that he would soon have to mourn the loss of both Zekrom and Kyurem.

She tried to keep her head, while the others remained guarded, she stepped forward, daring the ice to take her, as where she stepped, the ice melted once more. One by one, green orbs appeared around her like floating lanterns, anchored by her wings. When the smoke cleared, the tainted Kyurem was still standing, if barely. "Submit." She growled, the orbs of green beginning to converge, Tenshi might recognize these as being small, weak Draco meteors--but at that multitude...well, they'd still be fatal.

Her keen eyes could still see the pin that had caused all this.....in her world they hadn't been able to remove it, what would happen if she managed here? She had to try, at least. "N...I know you're still in shock, but you have the best chance of getting through to him, Zekrom was yours, as much as you were his." Even in it's weakened state, the want to fight was still in his eyes...and too late did she realize that it wasn't just for show. The mixed energy of electricity of Ice hit her, she only had time to lessen the blow with a wing, and even then, it still burned like hell as the electricity coursed through her, and into the charge stone. "Ugh, and this boys, is why you don't stand around TALKING!" She let the energy gather in her fangs, and bit at the Kyurem's neck, the orbs had disappeared when she lost her focus on them, rather than exploding. Locked in her jaws, he tried to scratch at her hide, but dragon scale vs dragon scale. /WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE COME TRY TO TAKE THE PIN OUT?!/

She sounded indignant for sure now, even though N had stepped forward to try to calm the dragon, talking of the travels they had shared, trying to spark memories, or anything really, which left Kyn to be the brave human.

"Well N, since you're occupied, that leaves me...!" Kyn figured his path in his mind and then, using Serena to get to that said path, he jump onto his neck and attempted to locate the wedge and do his best to try and remove it.

Of course Kyurem struggled, Serena didn't even seem to notice the fact that she was used as a set of stairs, at least until he stepped on her head, to which he earned a growl, but other than that, she worked on keeping the beast still as Kyn pulled the pin free, at which point it went still and stopped fighting. Serena wasn't to be fooled a second time, however, and if anything, tightened her grip on it's neck, much to the displeasure of her fangs, since even his body was still cold.

"Dammit, this piece of excrement is not_worth all this trouble! Ghetsis must have done some... really horrible things to him. Not to mention what happened all those thousands of years ago. Unless... he was only _using Ghetsis... ugh. Thinking out loud here, feel free to stop me anytime Serena." Kyn said, holding the troublesome object in his hands.

/Yes, do stop and get down from there, I don't really care how you do it, but get back to safety, if you don't mind...My world failed to pull that thing out...so I don't know what exactly will happen./ The moment Kyurem began to glow in a form akin to a self destruct, Serena removed her mouth, and regardless of where Kyn was, attempted to pull him off, tail by wrapping around his waist. She also grabbed N with her mouth on the back of his shirt, then she scrambled away from the dragon. When the glow faded, Kyurem was lying down beside the black stone that was the sleeping Zekrom. She had shielded them both rather instinctively, and only after checking to make sure that the dragon hadn't gone off the deep end any more than she already knew he had...she released them. "Well...that was uneventful..." she muttered.

/Why the hell didn't they remove that thing in your world? I'd... hate to think there was another ... incident/ "Well... at least... what I was thinking... didn't happen." Kyn said, giving a huge sigh.

/It was...killed before we learned of the fact that it could be removed.../ She was curious; of course, and walked over to nose the sleeping Kyurem. "Out cold..." She muttered, and grabbed the stone, returning it to N. "I suppose that it's a bit awkward to say it now...but It is nice to meet you N...I do hope, that you'll prove to be another human that I can stand to be around, without wanting to kill you every five minutes. I am Serena Mence...I suppose you could call me the Tao ambassador...as I'm the only one from Tao to ever come here."

N took the stone from Serena, hoping to simply be chosen again, but either he was too tired to emerge, or he wasn't going to. "You...have problems around other humans? I would hope that I'm one that you wouldn't want to kill." He gestured to the corpses on the ground in spite of himself, then listened to the rest of what she was saying.

"Tao...I don't think I've heard of that place before, where is it, on the map?"

"Uh... well here it comes. Serena... would you like to explain it to him, or should I?" Kyn said, thinking about how N would react. He of course told Serena about N once before and now they were actually meeting for the first time, but he might need time to get over the initial shock of Serena being literally out of this world.

She chuckled, answering his question, and Kyn's at the same time, though not directly. "Well...not on any map that you have, I'm sure...I suppose that you'll have to...well, wait and see...Tao....is...a different world." She waited for the words to sink in. "No, not a foreign country....Ugh...I think we're just going to have to show him Kyn." She turned her head towards him with a sigh.

"That depends... do you mean by memory or by actually showing him physically?" Kyn wondered if N would even be allowed to glimpse their world, since she designated herself the 'Ambassador of Tao'.

"Uh....I don't think I've been given that permission yet, to relay memories...and I don't know if he has a psychic Pokémon on him...or would tolerate leaving the black one, in his sleeping state, here."

N wasn't sure exactly what they were going on about, but he shook his head. "I'm not leaving Zekrom here alone and undefended..."

"Yeah. Well... probably we'll just have to wait until Zekrom awakens again... or... we'll have to do a really good job explaining." Kyn suggested. He knew why N wouldn't be able to take the Dark Stone form of Zekrom with him.

"Mmmph...N, do I have permission to enter your mind and give you some memories of my home?" She licked her nose, the room was still cold, but she was kind of...against leaving Kyurem here to his own devices. "In the mean time...lets make sure that Kyurem isn't going to attack us when he first wakes up?"

N blinked at her. "Uh, I guess so? Having Zekrom in my head wasn't too bad, so...go ahead?" He wasn't sure exactly what she was going to show him, and so all he could do was wait.

"It's more than likely going to be a bit overwhelming for you at first though." Kyn decided to drop the spike since he was tired of holding it. It finally went back into it's original form in the form of an open triangle. "Much better."

Serena took the time to establish the connection, and gave him the first memory, except unlike Clair, she didn't pull it when the portal was hit, and instead showed the other world. She pulled back after that.

"I.......see...," came the reply after a moment. "So...an alternate reality?"

"You could... say that. Yes. How much did you show him Serena...?" Kyn sat down on the ground after bringing the object with him.

"First meeting." She answered, and then nudged him. "Probably would be a good idea to secure Kyurem so that he doesn't immediately start attacking us when he wakes up?"

"I....need to sit down..." He did so, taking off his hat and rubbing his temples. "Another world...are there humans there? What sort of currency do you use? Are there wars? Terrorism?" He rambled off questions, sounding very much like Kyn.

<Heh. He reminds me a bit of Me when I was younger, and yes that sounds slightly superficial cuz it is. But you get my point. I have, learned to slow down.> "Told you it'd be a bit overwhelming. Let us take a while to answer your questions step by step." Kyn said, understanding N's reaction.

Serena chuckled, more to herself than at N. "No, no humans, ever have been to the Pokémon kind that live there to date, at least, we have come across Poké Balls that have been smashed, however, and some Pokémon claim to have been trained by humans, but essentially mentioning humans in anything other than a context of legend is considered crazy. We use Poké, a coin of solid gold...which I don't have on me at the moment, they're back home, in my den. In Johto, I mean." She paused. "Yes and no? We have fights, but we don't have the concept of all out wars...and No, no true terrorism."

His mouth twitched. "So we really_are_ the source of all the wars in the world......what do you eat? Are there Pokémon that don't understand, or....?"

"Ah, I have some Poké with me actually Serena. I usually keep them for reference. Though most people don't see them." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a 20 Poké coin, preparing to show it to N after the rest of his questions were answered.

"I....huh...well, that's off guard, but yes, there's a common place 'Mon...There are non sentient Pokémon, yes, and most of the carnivores don't eat meat, actually, even though their bodies are created to do so, they don't find it socially acceptable." She paused. "I do...however, eat meat, and hunt other Pokémon for my sustenance...only those who are non-sentient...I'm probably going to change that statement since I'm going to live in this world and raise a family here."

N looked up at the coin then nodded. "Thank you...so you have a mate then...or are you going to do that on your own?"

Kyn was expecting the question about eating, since he'd wondered the exact same thing. It fell under the same category as his last question about having a mate as; what do you eat, do you have a mate, general lifestyle question.

"How about I just tell you about my life...Yes, I have a mate, Heji, actually. I developed an interest in him when I was still just a Bagon, but it wasn't until a....dire misunderstanding between Kyn and myself that I actually took him to be my mate...To be honest I wouldn't have made it through that month without him...and no, I'm not going to answer what the misunderstanding was, or why I couldn't do without him that month. I have a heat cycle, that lasts for a month every ten to twenty-five years, and most of our jobs there mimic yours here. We do have some semblance technology, computers and mechanical things are handled by Porygon, and Steel type Pokémon respectively...Stop me if you've had enough."

N let the information flow over him, then nodded. "Thank you, that is indeed enough...Ah, actually...Heji is a Luxray....you're not compatible with him...correct? How would you..." As he saw her flinch, he added. "Never mind, none of my business."

"N... there is one thing I never did ask you. Once we were rivals... you sort of... battled me using different Pokémon each time. After our final battle... what did you do with them? It's something I've always wondered." Kyn said, putting N back in the spotlight.

"Ah, I suppose you could say that I behaved much as a Pokémon ranger would...I recruited Pokémon from the wilds, or from people who heard Team Plasma's words and wanted to give them up, but couldn't bare to release them into the wild themselves; and after a period of time to explain things to them, I would release them with the understanding that their old trainers wanted them to be happy. Zekrom was the first Pokémon that was actually mine..."

"Hm, that's understandable. Although Zekrom is strong... situations like this can still happen... do you have that feeling... where you'd want to guard Zekrom with your life, and he'd do the same...?" Kyn asked.

"Of course." He answered. "I always have guarded him with my life, and he has protected me as well, from wild Pokémon." The stone in his lap, it was kind of hard for Serena not to relate it to her and her egg. "I didn't think....that something like this could happen, actually, did you?"

"After finding out about Kyurem... I sort of did... but I never expected it to actually happen since I figured not even Ghetsis would be that insane, but it turns out that he was just that insane," Kyn said, with a downtrodden sigh, "and... I also figured that it might happen to Tenshi as well..."

Serena's mouth twitched, and she moved to essentially wrap her tail around Kyn's legs, and her wings around his shoulders to comfort him, echoing the feeling across her link with him, blowing soft, warm air into his hair, and a single word echoed with the feeling. 'Brave'. She did keep an eye on Kyurem, she still couldn't access his mind, and that unnerved her, though she wouldn't say it aloud.

"Ah...heh...I...well, I was going to be in good company anyway, I suppose if I did lose Zekrom permanently, then I would just go back to doing what I did before, except only from the wilds, of course."

"What exactly do you call yourself N? Would you really call yourself a Pokémon Trainer? Seems more like you're like me... a Pokémon recruiter and... potential unlocker." Kyn folded his arms into a thinking pose. '/I mean... I do call myself a Pokémon Trainer but... do I really train Pokémon? I let them work with their instincts and give them advice.../'

She nosed the back of his neck. /There is a difference between training someone and breaking them to your will, remember Royce? We broke him to our will...but training is about giving suggestions...not about breaking them, but...putting them in a position where if they want to do something for you, they will do it. That is what the word train depicts in my head./

N thought about the idea. "Well...helping one better ones self...could be a type of training...so yes, I suppose that I would."

/Eh, Serena, that thought really wasn't supposed to bleed out. But yes, I'm not talking about... the sense we broke Royce. Speaking of which... is Royce at least still alive?/ "I don't think you realize it N but... the Pokémon you recruited... you_did_ increase their strength, and their level of experience. In fact, I'm actually quite proud of you for that. Despite how much it pisses me off, and we've actually met people like this, Serena and I, there are some people who would take a Pokémon, train it, and the second it loses in battle, release it, and then attempt to catch a so called 'stronger' version of the same Pokémon. They of course don't know that a Pokémon that has a human companion... or in Serena's case, is forced to survive a harsh environment, end up stronger than those that live comfortably in the wild."

"Comfortably...in the wild...ha." She chuckled; /I'm sitting right here...it's kind of hard for me not to hear most everything that you think of. Yes, the Slowking have a lifespan comparable to yours./ She snorted at the idea of the trainer. "Yes...I encountered one who's Idea of 'releasing' a Pokémon, meant from it's mortal coil, and in a pit of lava...and I could see that they wanted...more than anything...to please him. The only one....that he showed any compassion towards at all, was his Cherrim."

N went quiet, both at Serena sharing, and the praise from Kyn. "It's not like I forced them to leave, either, if they wanted to stay with me, they were more than welcome to do so, but they just wanted to be stronger than they were before."

"Interesting... that's actually rather similar to how I happened to attract some of my Pokémon. Heji, and Nero being prime examples. Hm, actually I think I need to change a few things. Serena, remember how I've always been saying Heji is my second strongest...? Well I should have been more specific. I suppose I was excluding Tenshi... but I mean, I didn't really 'train' Tenshi. He was already strong. So eh. It depends on how you look at it really." Kyn almost started on a rambling streak.

Serena knew it was coming, and wrapped a clawed limb around his lips lightly to get him to stop talking. "Legendaries don't count, they're expected to be stronger than normal."

N thought about what Kyn was saying, and even chuckled at Serena. "Well, she does have a point."

"Well. Then I guess of my own non-legendary party, in that case, Heji is the second strongest. Serena, you're on par with Heji now. ...And considering that you come from you world... I'd say... that there's a possibility that your abilities, since they are scaled down here, might actually be stronger than his. You might just have kicked Heji out of the second strongest spot." Kyn thought long hand hard about it, stroking his facial hair as he did so.

"His are scaled up in my world as well...just call us even. That's how it should be anyway." She uncoiled herself from Kyn, realizing that she hadn't even said Hello to the others yet, and went to nose them in greeting. Twenty five years...it was a long time to go without seeing your friends.

"Negative one and positive one making a zero. So, N, I believe you and Serena might have some more Q&A incoming?" Kyn said, trying to shift back to Serena and N.

Serena perked her earfin a bit at the sound of her name, and ended her licks with Heji, and the others for that matter, verifying that they hadn't been hurt before she moved back to where Kyn was standing, and laid down. "Yes, I think it's my turn, wouldn't you say, N?" <Just exactly how much does he know about you now?>

"Ah, well...yes, that would be only fair...what would you like to know?"

<Not very much... he happens to know that Tensa is my mate, and that I can understand Pokémon like him.> Kyn answered. He was also interested in what Serena asked N, since she was told a bit about him, but not very much.

She flicked out her tongue over her lips, tasting the cooler air...yes, this was about where it was supposed to be, when there was no madness within him. "How did you grow up? You know, via Kyn, that I grew up in the wilds, and fought to survive...So what shaped you?" Unlike him, she asked only one question at a time, and waited for him to answer.

"I....well, Ghetsis is....was my father; he had me in a room with two Pokémon for friends...they were my only friends growing up...and they were...ah...less fortunate than most Pokémon. They had been abused, and so I thought...well...I was in the opinion that Pokémon were...unhappy with their human companions."

Kyn... began remembering the castle... and about how he had actually been in N's room. It hadn't changed since N was a child. In fact, it was almost a bit creepy if one thought about it.

Serena of course, being so close to Kyn, got the bleed over, and she wrinkled her nose, both to his words and Kyn's memory, and gave him a little push away from the location. "I see...so you spent so much time with them that you learned to understand what they were saying..."

"Yes. It wasn't until I got out of there and learned that not all of them were unhappy, that I began to...rethink things. Of course I had the social skills of a five year old at that time, but we all did at one point I'm sure..."

"You rather surprised me N with your open revelation about being able to understand Pokémon. Which is why Cheren reacted the way he did." Kyn remembered.

"I was taught to speak, read and write by a ghost. I'm amazed that I turned out the way I did." She conceded.

N raised an eyebrow. "A ghost you say? Well, yes, I'm sure the thought I was a nutcase, most people did, I learned though, what to reveal, and what not to reveal....eventually, of course." He mused.

"But you from revealing to me that you were a member of Team Plasma was another surprise. Why did you... just like, randomly do that?" Kyn chuckled. "Anyway, I think I should give you a bit of a sample of their written language. It's actually very interesting to look at in my opinion."

Serena let her earfins fall. "Ah....I left your pad of paper at Clair's den...sorry...we were in such a hurry to get out of there I just....I hope you didn't have anything important in there."

"Their own language? That definitely would be something to see..." He trailed off. "I suppose I told you I was a member of Team Plasma for the same reason that you told me that Tensa was your mate. I counted you as a close enough friend to be trusted with the information."

Kyn chuckled a whole lot, before he finally took out his Xtransciever. "Oh Serena, I'm still human, remember?" He then shifted his eyes around where he saw all the damage that had been done, as well as scorch marks and said, "That does... erm... remind me. Ghetsis and Zinzolin are dead. The members will have to be informed about that. The last time a big organization was unchecked, they reformed... much like this version, however, they were looking for a leader who in essence was a good as dead."

"Why not let N take their place? He is the logical replacement for his father anyway...and that way Team Plasma could be turned into a GOOD thing...an organization not hellbent on stripping everyone of their Pokémon, but covertly looking into situations of which the Pokémon are abused?" She scoffed at the idea of him not needing paper to demonstrate. "Oh, you are? I thought you were just a shaved Infernape without a tail." She poked him with a chuckle.

"What, me? No, I'd be challenged by my sisters, besides, the rest of the sages are still out...there....You're planning on hunting them, aren't you?"

"Serena, N, unbeknownst to you... Team Plasma is actually going through a civil war. One has the goals of the original Team Plasma, the other has the following of Ghetsis and the new Team Plasma... ... there are those who do actually want to try and draw out the strength in Pokémon. Serena, listen! Before you start blasting Colress to bits, I want to give him _one_chance to explain himself. You can interrogate him and I'll translate. I may have jumped to conclusions earlier."

She snarled. "He sent twenty men after us, armed them with Master balls to capture anything that wasn't owned, and had I not been the one who responded, would have tried to take you instead. No, he'll just lie to my face, to _our_faces. Actions speak louder than words." she snorted, and walked towards Kyurem, nosing him and tempting him awake with soft, gentle licks. There was a moment of recognition as she touched his mind with her own and she hoped that his heart had warmed a little since the ordeal. "For the record N, I hadn't let the thought cross my mind, but thank you for the idea, I think that perhaps I shalll."

"Then let him lie. We have a lie detector. If he digs his own grave, then only thing we will have determined is how painfully or how quickly he wants to die. Also, not all of the Sages returned to Ghetsis. I am requesting... that you at least make sure that none of them are doing covert things." Kyn was a little held up trying to hold two conversations at once.

The snarl returned as she turned away from Kyurem. "You have been asking lots of requests this day, Kyn; perhaps it's time you cease. My offer to char you to a crisp still stands on some levels, and I'm not really in the mood right now." Of all the nerve...really, how many times was he going to say something, and the counter it later? Kill or don't kill, lie and let lie...unlike before, however, she could, and did walk away from the situation. She climbed back up the floors, away from them, still running of human feet could be heard, whether away from the dragon or towards her, sometimes the sounds were ended with a chomp and a thud, others with the slamming of a door, until she was at the top level, well away from where Kyn was, and laid her head down on her claws. Her mouth was stained with blood, but she had done her best not to just slaughter those that got in her way, instead she had grabbed an arm, a shoulder, or a leg...if they died from bleeding out, or something of that nature, her conscience was clear.

Kyn sighed. He figured his, Yes-No requests would become a bit annoying but it... was just how he was. It wasn't as simple as kill them all or kill no-one. "Anyway... I'll be able to use the scratchpad feature to give you some examples, which is why I took it out," Kyn said to N.

N nodded, a little surprised at Serena's outburst, but not entirely. He stood to stand beside Kyn, so that they wouldn't have to pass the device back and forth--it just made more sense to him.

He took out the stylus and starting scribbling the symbols for the phrase, 'I believe we'll be having another talk later,' and then told N what it said. "I've been rather... differentiating on the issue of what humans are fair game and, which she can kill if she wants... it's rather difficult to get her to understand why I'm being so strange on the issue."

"From the sounds of it, you've been adding new rules as you've been going; that would get annoying even for a human...A little like springing the whole civil war on both of us there; wouldn't it have been better to make it so that she already knew are the details you did before telling her she could kill them?" He changed topics. "How do you know which footprints to use in which situation? Are higher evolutions considered to be higher respect or...?"

"The answer to your second question... I'd imagine you could equate it to, having a capital letter, and also for those that mean whole words when paired with others, capitalizing the entire word."

"I see...I imagine that that diversifies things greatly in the way things are spelled between Pokémon, you could have two Pokémon named the same thing, yet have almost completely different symbols to make up that name."

"It does make things rather difficult sometimes... you hear one name, and try your best to spell it, but it could be read another way. That's another thing that was difficult to get used to. Most Pokémon just don't mind if you ask them to spell their name. Same thing with humans that have strange sounding last names." Kyn said, clearing the pad.

"Well, for the sake of being accurate, that's understandable. I wonder if Pokémon here weren't so integrated with humans, that they would develop the same way...hmm."

"It is an interesting thought. They'd probably get the idea of building buildings from us though. Perhaps... the crossing over of worlds is not such a bad thing. However, not everyone can know about it... of course I believe that since Serena showed you a glimpse of it, there's a very slim chance... that she may allow you to possibly set foot there. That is... after Zekrom wakes up and this whole Team Plasma thing is over." Kyn said, wondering what to do once the subject did come up again after Serena returned.

"It would be an honor...but of course most humans would do something stupid while over there...she did say there were legends made of humans? Hmmm, I wonder if that means that we're essentially legendary Pokémon there..." He then turned his attention to the very aware Kyurem, who was regarding the scene a bit...well, warily.

Kyn was reminded of when he first revealed to some'mon what he was. "Not exactly good legends. Serena is more than just the ambassador. One might even consider her the guard of the entrance to the two worlds."

"I'm not sure how she could constantly guard it, lest it was actually around her neck or something...and the only thing I saw there was a rather unique scarf." He hmmm'ed again.

It had been 15 minutes, and while she wasn't the coolest she could have been, she was cool enough to head back down to where she left them, Ironic that to cool down, she had to go back up where it was warmer; but she ducked her head in to check to make sure that...well, she wasn't intruding, knowing Kyn, and slipped back around to the legendary dragon. Of course her claws clicking would give her away; but she virtually ignored everyone else's presence until she was over there and conversing in a quiet voice--so as not to draw too much attention to herself. Seeing Kyurem like this...it reminded her of the one from her world...but they spoke of nonsensical things.

"A better way of saying it is... that an area of Serena's cave will be where it is when it appears. It is not always there. Now, I believe that I'll... take short break. This ship isn't going to crash so, I think I can afford a nap. Well it's not going to crash unless the pilots are shitting their pants in fear of Serena. But even still... eh, never mind I'm rambling. I need a nap..." Kyn said with a sigh.

That caught her attention. "Hey. I can hear you over here you know." She snorted. "Besides, I haven't done anything to the humans...well, the ones that attacked me might have lost a hand or an arm, but they were the ones trying to hurt me..." She turned her head back to continue speaking to Kyurem, apologizing for the interruption, and trying to explain why he shouldn't leave the ship just yet.

"Kyn, the ship is docked, I would think that even if they were having to change their pants, that it wouldn't matter." N answered. "But a nap does sound like a good idea; I'm sure that they wont mind if we use a couple of their rooms, I'm sure they wouldn't dare come near them if there was a Salamence laying in front of them either."

"Serena! I just wanted to apologize to you, and I believe that if I explain the situation fully to you, then this will all make more sense to both of us! But of course that will be after my nap... if you don't mind." He said, covering his mouth for a yawn.

The corners of her mouth turned downwards, and she sighed. At first it seemed like she was totally ignoring Kyn, until Kyurem nodded, and she stood up and walked over to them. "You should have done that in the first place; do you realize the guilt you put me through, with those words of yours? I_told_ you, my mind doesn't let me forget anything that I've done." For perhaps the first time in a long while, there was pain in her voice.

"It...can wait until you two have slept." The emphasis was obvious that N wasn't going to get away without sleeping, the strain of not having Zekrom around was beginning to show even in his features, even with the stone sitting right there. "Leave the black stone with me; I'll see if I can...think of something that might re-energize him."

N hadn't even realized that he was reaching down for the stone, but when she mentioned it, he nodded softly. "If it'll help bring him back...you can have it for as long as you like...but I wouldn't dream of disobeying a dragon; I will see you after my sleep."

"Once again... I apologize Serena and.... night..." He figured that it wouldn't be proper to say 'goodnight' considering what had gone on that day.

Serena let him go, but not before lowering her head to nose his cheek. <Sleep well....Master Kyn.> the thought contained a bit of a joke, since they had recently mentioned Royce, it should have spurred the memory for him as well; but she nudged him off in the direction of the door, which N was already headed through. Her tail wrapped about the stone, and brought it close to her body.

Kyn did think about Royce. Everyone was older than him now... Then his thoughts shifted to memories of Anana, to the point to where his dreams and subconscious mind would be filled with thoughts about her.

She got to work, pulling the stone close to her as she walked back over to Kyurem, ignoring the looks she likely got from the others, if they hadn't followed Kyn back upstairs at least. She pulled the charge stone off of her leg and set it on the ground, starting the sparks again, and let the electricity arc between the two stones.........
