The helicopter landed close by and Medics piled out and ran over to the Stricken Lizard. Jess, Tanya, Lisa and one of the guys from the other group and stemmed his bleeding. Tanya worked hard to keep him awake and help him with shock. But he was shaking, and starting to get cold. She wiped tears from his face and he sniffed trying not to cry heavily.

"Dear God" Captain Kendo said getting out of the aircraft with four military Police officers "You are all Restricted to your Barracks. Tanya you are his leader you'll come with us, The rest of you return to your Barracks, NOW" they all nodded and left escorted by the MP's, the girls not wanting to at first but finally did quietly. The medical officers quickly put in two IV's of whole blood and laid Izer on a stretcher while putting fresh compression bandages on his wound's, then they recovered his arms.

"Quickly into the Chopper!" one of them said and the lifted him carefully and carried him into the craft.

"Stay awake Cadet, that's an order" Kendo said sitting close by and Izer nodded

"Y...Yes Sir" he wheezed. The medics got in next to Izer, and Tanya closed the door sitting next to the Captain.

"What Happened?" Kendo asked Tanya as the craft took off

"Cadet Wallson had a Blade launcher" she said softly yet informatively "His platoon ordered us to hand over the Hostage units threatening us with it. When Jess went to walk off, he fired at her and Izer pushed her and the units out of the way... if he hadn't, Jess would..."

"I see" he responded slowly "he did what he was trained to do"

"It was STUPID" she suddenly blurted starting to cry "Neither of them should have been at risk in the First place!"

"Calm down Cadet" Kendo said

"Please..." she sobbed looking at the medics "Please save him... what ever it takes save him!"

"well do what we can" one said "His belly wound isn't too bad, it looks mainly superficial, but his arms... I'm not sure what we will do" Izer looked over to Tanya a soft smile on his face, his belly was an array of colour, mainly red from blood and blue.

"I...I'm Invincible" he said with a grin "th...The black Knight A...Always Triumphs" he coughed and groaned a laugh and she laughed as well placing he hand on his head.

"Tis but a scratch" she said

"were going to give you some pain killers" one medic said "We've got you mostly stabilized, try to relax"

When they landed the transferred him directly onto a stretcher; General Smith was waiting for them at the landing pad.

"Get him Fixed up good Doctor" he said angrily to one of the doctors who ran out "we have NEVER lost a Cadet on this Base, I don't intend to break that record!"

"Yes SIR" they said saluting "Quick Another unit of Blood and Get him into OR!" they ran off with Izer leaving General Smith, Captain Kendo and Tanya standing on the now empty pad.

"I want a FULL report!" Smith said to Kendo "Whatever it takes! I want this Dealt with!"

"SIR yes SIR!" Kendo saluted

"Sir" Tanya piped up "I know I need to return to the barracks, but can I return when he is out of OR?"

"Cadet Tanya" Smith looked to her "Return to the Barracks With Captain Kendo and give a statement, I want one from all of you, then get cleaned up. I will inform you Personally when he is ready to see people" Tanya nodded and then saluted

"permission to be dismissed Sir" she said

"Dismissed" General Smith responded Saluting in return. She turned and walked back to the barracks with Kendo following a little while later.

Six Hours Izer was in the operations theater the array of doctors trying whatever they could to save his life and limbs. Izer awoke nearly twelve hours later groaning softly, the sun was up, and it was warm in the bed he was laying in. the hospital room was a depressing white which brought back old unpleasant memories. He turned his head to see Tanya sitting in a chair close by asleep having maintained a diligent watch over him. He groaned, the medications still flooding his system making him groggy and slightly dazed. He also found that he couldn't move when he went to get up.

"T...Tanya" he groaned softly, she stirred softly and he gave a disgruntled groan "Tanya" he called louder.

"H..Hu?" she stirred and then groaned stretching "Oh god never sleep in a chair" he chuckled softly and that got her attention.

"No one said you had to wait here with me" he said groggily and she shot to his bedside

"Izer your awake!" she exclaimed and pushed the nurse call button

"I... I cant move" he mumbled, she nodded but stopped him from trying to move

"I...I need to tell you something" she said and seemed to look a little uncomfortable

"The doctors... they tried to... to save your arms... but.." he blinked looking at her

"sh... show me" he whimpered and she nodded pulling the blanket down to his hips exposing the stitches across his belly and kissing scales where they had to pull scales out to make the stitches. This didn't bother him as much as the bloody red bandages on his arms altho to be more accurate, stumps. He started to shudder, his belly going bright blue as he started to cry.

"Izer, calm down" she said gently rubbing his head "shh its alright, your still alive"

"b...but why..." he asked between sniffs and sobs "i... I cant work in the army anymore... and without arms... I'm a useless slave... they should just... just..."

"Don't You DARE say the next line" a Male doctor said from the doorway "After all the effort we went to to save your life" Izer seemed to just snap, and started to cry loudly. He didn't thrash, didn't struggle, he just cried.

"Oh Izer" Tanya said grabbing him and pulled him into a hug, holding him and letting him cry into her shoulder. She rubbed his back gently holding him close to comfort him. It took a few minutes, and the doctor didn't leave the whole time, but soon Izer was laying back on the bed.

"I need to do a checkup" he said softly and both Izer and Tanya nodded. He walked over and inspected the stitches on his belly, then carefully each arm while Izer and Tanya watched.

"We need to replace these bandages, ill have a nurse come in soon to do it"

"Thank you doc" Izer said softly "i...Id like to have a shower would that be ok?"

"Well normally wed give you a sponge bath, but it looks like your healing quickly, so ill allow it, ill have a nurse help you" he responded while taking the IV out.

"C...Can I have Tanya help me?" he asked looking up at him, the Doc looked at Tanya who nodded and he nodded as well.

"Very well then, but there's a few things you will need to remember" he said turning to Tanya "take his bandages off before you get into the shower and check for any bleeding or broken stitches. The showers all have a temperature setting system on them, for this time, no hotter than Forty degrees Celsius or it could impede the healing process. Use the soap provided and GENTLY wash the injured areas, and be gentle with the rest of him, most of his nerves are in a state of hyper activeness due to the injury's, so scrubbing hard will only cause him pain" Tanya nodded listening intently

"Thanks for the info doc" she said Saluting

"Towels are in the Wardrobe, Ill take my leave now and let you two get on with it" the doctor walked out, closing the door behind him leaving them on their own.

Tanya god the bathroom ready before she came back and started to remove Izer's bandages. They were bloody, but didn't stick to the wound or surrounding area when she peeled them off. The doctors had pulled the skin down and over the wound, closing it off to not expose the bone or muscles. It was stitched tightly shut and she checked the stitches carefully before moving onto the next arm. Confident that it was all in good condition, she carefully helped him to his feet then to the bathroom. He was nude already, his belly a bright blue with some gray marbled in to show his state of depression, so he didn't care that he was naked. Tanya stripped to join him in the shower giving a cheeky grin as he looked up to see her strip, then guided him into the running water.

"Oww ow oww" he hissed as the water his his belly wound

"Calm down, Calm down"she said stepping in with him "Think of it this way, the pain means its killing germs" she chuckled and then pulled the shower head down, it being on a hose meant that she could be more accurate with helping him wash. She dowsed him down, squirting him with water all over before she placed the hose back and placed some soap in her hands.

"Ok, ready?" She asked with a smile and he nodded slowly

"As ill ever be i guess" he answered still looking glum. She lathered the soap up in her hands and then started rubbing it against his chest.

"So this" he started "is how ill live for the rest of my life... being cared for by others"

"Oh Hush" she said massaging soap around his belly wound "Take this chance to relax hun, how often are you going to get a massage from someone as pretty as Me?" They both laughed and he coughed a bit, pain coming from his stomach. She turned him around and started rubbing his back, then shoulders.

"This may sting a little" she said with a warning "But don't hate me for it" he was about to ask what she was going to do but he hissed out loudly as she rubbed the soap down over his stumps. She didn't wash them for long before she stopped, adding more soap to her hands, she started on his neck then scalp. Slowly working down to his tail and bellow. Turning him around one more time, now to face her, she washed his crotch and the front of his legs, looking up to see his head back, water spraying against the top of his head and down over his body. He had his eyes closed, but she could tell he had been crying again while she couldn't see.

"Rinse time" she declared almost gleefully. Standing back up she grabbed the hose again and started spraying him down. He meeped when she stopped at his crotch, pointing the warm water against his sex.

"T...Tanya" he whimpered softly and she giggles

"Hey you cant fight back this time" she said with more giggles before she changed target to spray him in the face.

"Ok, All done" she declared turning the water off, she wrapped herself in a towel before wrapping him in one. Drying him off quickly and gently, the white towel had some blood on it after she wiped his belly and arms. She lead him back to the bedroom, and dressed him in his shorts quickly before dressing herself and pressing the 'call nurse' button.

"How can i help?" The nurse asked when she walked in

"He needs some new bandages" Tanya stated as she sat down on the chair again

"A...Am i allowed some painkillers?" Izer asked

"Lets check your chart" she stated grabbing the clipboard at the end of the bed for a quick look "Hmm lets see, Ok ill get your dosage of Ketamine and be right back" they both nodded as she walked off and they were left sitting in the room on their own.

"What going to happen to me now" Izer mumbled aloud "I'm only a slave... i cant work without my arms... i cant serve a master..."

"Don't worry, Things will work out" Tanya said gently placing her hand on his leg. Izer sniffed heavily again obviously on the verge of tears once more.

"Am i Cursed?" He whimpered and sniffed heavily "My first master abused me, my second abandoned me, my third one Died, and now I've lost my arms... am i destined to never be happy?" Tanya sighed rubbing his leg more

"Ok I'm back" the nurse said returning with a trolly, there was food on it as well as a syringe, a small bottle, and bandages. A doctor was following behind her with a clipboard of his own and an almost unbreakable smile.

"Ah Cadet Izer"he said walking over to the bed with the Nurse, standing between him and Tanya.

"Yes sir?" He responded giving watching the nurse fill the syringe with fluid from the bottle, he only guessed it was his painkillers.

"I'm Surprised to see you up and about after such an injury, but ill get to my point" he seemed arrogant to Izer, and on a mission. For the first time in a while he had encountered someone who treated him like the slave he was "Due to the nature of your injury's, Normally you would be put down after an injury like that, but after the general insisted you be saved, we decided that you would be the perfect candidate for the experimental prosthetic limbs we have been working on. The trial is in four days, and you will be expected to testify then, but afterwords we will beginning the procedure. It will be painful, and there is a one in four chance that they wont take"

"I Understand sir" Izer said covering a cringe from the nurse giving him the injection of painkillers then pushed the food in front of him.

"Want me to feed you?" Tanya called from behind the doctor and Izer's belly went pink with a splashing of blue

"Y...Yes please" he responded embarrassed and the nurse chuckled

"I was actually going to ask you too, i need to put new bandages on his arms" the doctor walked out and Tanya shifted closer grabbing a forkful of food.

"Here comes the Airplane" she said laughing and pushing it towards Izer's mouth.

"Wh.." Izer nearly choked on the food as he tried to talk around it in his maw "When can i see the Girls?"

"Well Ill have a word with the Captain" Tanya said "were supposed to be restricted to quarters at the moment due to the incident, but I'm sure he will let us come see you"

"That i will, As long as there is guards outside the room, as per regulations" they both Jumped and looked to the door where captain Kendo was standing.

"C...Captain" Tanya jumped to her feet and saluted. Izer just wiggled his stumps in the captains direction and laughed softly.

"I would if i could Sir" Izer said with a chuckle

"Its fine Cadet your wounded" Kendo Saluted to Tanya who then returned to what she was doing feeding Izer.

"I will allow you girls to come visit him tomorrow after Lunch. For now we need to go over the details of the proceedings that will be in a few days"

"I don't know why i did what i did sir" Izer said halting his chewing "I just did it like it was instinct"

"That much i understand" He responded pulling out a pad and pen "what we want is your recount of the day" Izer nodded looking to Tanya who just nodded and cut off another chunk of meat for him to eat

"Don't worry Izer, Just Tell him everything you can" she smiled and pushed the fork to his mouth.

"Just need to know about the scenario, from the start if you could" he got out a tape recorder and hit record "Now recording Izer's Statement, Please note he is eating dinner at this point" he placed the recorder down next to Izer "In your own time"

Izer sat in the witness box Listening to the recording of his statement. He looked up to the Nurse who was standing next to him with a pleading look. She smiled understanding and picked the glass of water up and placed the straw to his lips to drink. The recording finished as the Nurse placed the glass down and the defense officer started.

"By all accounts, i don't see why we are having this trial" he announced walking up "Cadet Izer here is a Slave! Severe injury is to be expected! He is Expendable!"

"While that may be the case" Captain Kendo spoke up acting as the Prosecution in the case "While Izer's Injury's may be expected, He was saving the Life of Cadet Jessie. If he hadn't acted Jessie would not be here today, and THAT is what this case is about!"

"But Izer is a slave! He cannot be used as a witness as he could have been ordered to say what he did" the defense accused "This evidence is Inadmissible!"

"I would agree with the Defense" General Smith said "But on this occasion, i cannot, the corroborating evidence is strong and all agrees with Cadet Izer's Statement. Even his own Squad leader testified against him"

"Then what about these convenient Blanks in the Cadets Memories?" The defense called loudly "i find it Laughable that such a Young Slave could Do the things he is claiming he did"

"Major Mix" Kendo said turning to the Major sitting in the audience "Please elaborate on this"

"Yes Sir" he said standing up "Seahorse Lizards are heavily driven by instinct. When we are with people as much as the Cadet has been with his squad, we make an instinctual attachment which makes us do actions without thinking. Izer's actions are a prime example, I myself have even experienced these" the arguing continued for a while.

Izer was allowed to step down from the witness seat and he sat down with his nurse in quick pursuit. They soon recessed the proceedings coming back a short while later after heading off to get some food. By this time, the high generals had made up their minds about the proceedings.

"Thank you all be seated" Smith said "Cadets Wallson, Thompson, Domanic and Sampson Please stand for our Decision" Wilson, the Man who had fired the gun, stood to his feet, not looking woried as did the others. The only member of their squad that didn't stand was their Leader, Sebastian. At this point the General to the left of Smith, being in the center seat stood.

"It is the Judgment of this hearing, that you are all found Guilty" he announced loudly "Cadets Thompson, Domanic and Sampson are here by dishonorably discharged from all active services, and will be imprisoned within Green Apple Maximum security for ten years, for the crimes of assisting and covering the attempt of manslaughter and for hiding evidence in a criminal trial" the three looked depressed but relived that they had just gotten off with that.

"Cadet Wilson" Smith now stood "For the serious crime of attempted murder, and the crimes of concealing evidence in a criminal hearing, possession and smuggling of illegal weapons, and the severe damage of government Property, Namely the Slave Cadet Izer, You are sentenced to Execution by Lethal injection, to be carried out a week from Today, and may the lord have mercy on your soul" Wilson looked utterly enraged, glaring at Izer the whole time.

"You pathetic Fucking Slave its All YOUR FAULT!" He quickly vaulted over the tables making for Izer's throat. Izer's Nurse surprised him and quickly had Wilson face down in a hold position.

"I may be a nurse" she said with a smile as he was taken away a minute later by the Military police "But I'm still a solider in this army"

"Thanks" Izer said looking up to her with a smile

"Hes just lucky we didn't get there first" Lisa said walking up "Would have killed him and saved the executioner the Job"

They all gave Izer a hug before he was escorted back to the military hospital where the doctor was waiting for him.

"Ah There you are About time" He said pointing to the bed "Sit i have stuff to inform you about and things to do and id like to do it quickly."

"I need to change his bandages and give him his medication, you will need to stay out of my way" the nurse said calmly and firmly

"Why don't you come back in twenty minutes?" He responded sharply and rudely

"I don't Care WHO you are Doctor, but I am responsible for his care and well being. I will have you removed if you attempt to get in my way!" She looked angry, and sounded it too. They seemed to stare daggers at each other for a moment before he grunted.

"Fine, but be Quick" he grunted then turned back to Izer "Now, we have had to push the operation back a little bit. We have had orders from the top that you are to witness the Execution. The upside is that we will have time to get to work on the artificial limbs early. I will need a sample of your skin and scales, the measurements i got off of your old limbs" Izer nodded as he listened and the nurse grabbed a small scalpel

"This will hurt a little, try to remain still" He nodded and she used the scalpel to cut and cut a small section of skin from his arm stump. She placed it quickly to one side then placed pressure on the fresh wound.
