Leroy stretched and yawned as he took a look at his bed room his whole memory of last night had ended with him challenging a guy at the local pub to a drink off. He noticed the unfamiliar face of the rabbit in his bed. It began to stir and the rabbit awoke.

"Hey Leroy." The rabbit said hugging him from behind. Leroy's face must have betrayed some of his inner confusion, because the rabbit looked at him eyes full of hurt.

"You don't remember me?" he asked. Leroy shook his head.

"No, I'm sorry but I don't." he said.

"Alaster." Said the rabbit.

"We met at the pub after you beat James Mc Millan in the drink off. I brought you home, and I was about to go home when you asked me to stay the night. We didn't do anything, I promise." said Alaster. Leroy got out of bed still wearing his kilt from the night before and decided to change. He thought to himself how cute Alaster was. Leroy looked at himself in the mirror. He was a 6'2" fox average build with some slight muscle tone. His fur was a reddish brown all in all not bad looking for 25.

"You want come coffee?" Leroy called to Alaster.

"Yes please." said Alaster. Leroy walked out into the kitchen and started brewing the coffee. Alaster got out of bed and stretched. He put his shirt back on and looked around the room. He noticed a few pictures on the dresser. He got up and walked over to look at them. He grabbed one of Leroy and a younger Vixen. Just then Leroy walked up behind him with two mugs of black coffee.

"My kid sister." Leroy said.

"She's very beautiful." said Alaster.

"Yea, she is. She went to America a few months after that was taken. I haven't heard from her since." said Leroy. Alaster set the picture down gently.

"I'm sure she's ok." said Alaster.

Leroy took a sip of coffee and handed the other mug to Alaster.

"probably." he said with a sigh taking a sip. They sat down on the couch watching T.V.

"So you said I beat James?" asked Leroy. Alaster swallowed before answering.

"Yea you were ahead 7to 5 but I could tell you couldn't handle much more. Then he threw up on his 6th."

"I could have gone to 10 if I wanted to you know." said Leroy.

"Judging by the fact you blacked out, I don't quite believe that." Alaster said sticking his tongue out at Leroy. Leroy would have responded but he was caught off guard by Alaster's adorable little tongue piercing, the way it shined in the light so beautifully. Leroy leaned in kissing Alaster. Alaster blushed bright red returning the kiss with equal force, parting his lips slightly letting Leroy's tongue find his. Leroy pulled him closer so he was partially in his lap. Alaster had no idea how long they had been there but it felt like mere seconds had passed. He checked his phone.

"36 texts!" cried Alaster. He began texting rapidly, his blush fading to a light pink.

"Who from?" Leroy asked.

"My roommate." Replied Alaster.

"She's worried sick."

"I'll drive you." Offered Leroy. Alaster agreed and soon they were in Leroy's custom green ford mustang. It the standard 2 black racing stripes down the middle of the car, and the artist's signature painted in the car. They got in and Leroy started the engine. The car roared to life and purred like a kitten. He revved the engine before leaving the driveway.

"Where to?" asked Leroy.

"314th street and 159th avenue." said Alaster.

Leroy sped down the street shifting gears like a pro racer. Alaster couldn't help but admire Leroy's muscular build. The way the power seemed to ripple from his body into the car like they were not 2 separate objects but 1 living entity. The speed of the car combined with the expert finesse of the driver made him shiver. Within minutes they were at Alaster's house."

"It'll be about 15 minutes; do you want to come inside?"

"No ill be ok out here." replied Leroy. He watched Alaster disappear inside the house. He turned on the car stereo and popped in his favorite cd. The music came flowing out of the speakers sad and slow. He began to sing along.

"When the days are cold, and the cards all fold, and the saints we see are all made of gold." he sang. The music picked up slightly.

"When your dreams all fail, and the ones we hail are the worst of all, and the blood's run stale." the song continued.

"I want to hide the truth, I want to shelter you, but with the beast inside there's nowhere we can hide." Meanwhile, inside Alaster had already calmed down his roommate Midnight, and was taking a shower. She was a tall thin black feline and was prone to worry. She peeked out the curtain at the mustang in the driveway and the fox singing to himself in the driver's seat. She didn't like people getting close to Alaster, especially after the last time. She felt a growl rise in her thought but suppressed it just in time to turn and see Alaster walk into the kitchen and grab his wallet.

"I'm going out again." He called.

"I don't know when I'll be back.

"Be safe." she called to him as he walked out of the house. She slumped onto the couch, looking around for something to do. She could hear the over whelming silence. Its high pitched ring was over powering. She turned on the T.V and lost herself in the crap known as entertainment. Leroy and Alaster drove down the road for a little while listening to Leroy's music.

"Hey do you want to get some lunch?" asked Leroy.

"Sure, I'm starving." said Alaster. They pulled into the parking lot of bon appetite. When they were seated they looked over the menu.

"I'll have the roast lamb." Said Leroy

"And for you Sir?" the waitress asked.

"I'll have the garden salad with a side of mashed potatoes." Replied Alaster

"can I get something for you two to drink?"

"I'll take a beer." said Leroy.

"Me too." said Alaster. After a few minutes of light conversation the waitress returned with their food and drinks. After they both had their fill the waitress brought them the check. Alaster moved to get his wallet.

"oh please, let me." said Leroy.

"you really don't have to." protested Alaster.

"I insist." said Leroy. Alaster put his wallet away. When they had finished paying and got back in Leroy's mustang Alaster turned to Leroy.

"you know I'm going to make that up to you." he teased.

"go for it." said Leroy.

"ok, your place or mine" said Alaster with a dirty smile.
