From dragon to not-a-dragon in one quick thought. How will Alma's presence alter the present course of history? And why is Sybeele being so nice? Guilty conscience?

Jon-Tom

couldn't help from staring. His eyes did a little sideways glance to his friend

collapsed on the ground. He was breathing, so he was still alive. Alma was apparently

back to her normal self. No one alive today had seen her as she was meant to

be. All they had to go on were the tales told to them by their grandfathers.

The tales did her no justice. She was so beautiful that even Sybeele drew in a

breath. Alma

did a little courtesy, dropping to one front hoof, and dipping her head. Her

pearly white horn caught the light and sent it cascading through the air as a

rainbow of colors. When Jon-Tom found his voice, he whispered, "Fairy!" Alma

heard him and tittered. "I ain't, er, I'm not a fairy ape-man. Fairies are

small and humanoid. You seem awfully stupid for a time traveler." He

cleared his head and blinked his eyes. "No, not you. I mean, no you're not a

fairy. I was remembering one of my former mates. She belonged to another

really, but we had a foal together. She went by the name Fairy Hooves. You two

look remarkably alike." He was fighting down an erection. As it was, his

present wife was giving him some dirty looks. "You

have a child that's a unicorn? We really need to sit down and go through your

life detail by detail. I like surprises, but it seems to me there's a lot I

need to know. So what happened to this child of yours?" He

shrugged. "There are many aspects of my life that I have never seen to

completion. In this case, I can't really say." Alma

came forward. "I don't mean to be indelicate, and trust me, I've spent a good

portion of my life being just that. Might I connect with you and see the truth

for myself?" Sybeele

looked from one to the other. "Hey now! I've kept myself from being intrusive,

and I'm his wife. What gives you the right to ask such a thing? The

blazingly white unicorn shook her head, allowing her mane to flash through the

air. "No right whatsoever. But it will help me to decide just what is happening

here. He claims to be a time traveler, which any wizard will tell you is

impossible. You are something out of place as well. No one in my time had the

power to do magic with merely a thought. It's only been a hundred years or so

since I changed. So there is something significant I need to be aware of." Then

she looked down at Huntchy. "And what's wrong with your friend? Has he never

seen a unicorn before?" Jon-Tom

chuckled. "He's fine. I think perhaps you were sort of idolized by him. The

shock of seeing you as yourself coupled with the knowledge of what you've done

might have been too much. I'm certain he'll be fine when he comes to." "Idolized?

There is much indeed I need to catch up on. But back to you. I see your wife

has some misgivings about this. I wish not to pry, but it is dangerous to go

forth without the proper knowledge. I'm sure you see the sense in what I say." Jon-Tom

did, but his wife was less understanding. "I'm not happy about this, but your

assessment is correct. I tried to keep something important from him and it was

nearly the end of his life. I would ask that you refrain from being nosy as to

our present life together." Alma

shook her head. "I have no interest in knowing those things that are none of my

business. But I do need to know if you're telling the truth, and if so, the

implications of that. Your present life seems to have little bearing on

matters, though I may be wrong about that. Hence why I need the information." Jon-Tom

did a little bow. "I've shared before and I'm sure I'll be doing it again.

Would you like a horn to horn exchange?" Alma

stepped back. "You seem to know a lot about my kind. But what you ask is foolish

since you have no horn..." She was

watching as a small horn grew from his head. It was miniscule, but it was a

horn. She whinnied loudly. "You're not normal ape-man. No one other than a

unicorn can sport a horn such as you have made appear. We must exchange."

Sybeele grunted something unintelligible. Then, with a flick of her fingers,

her husband was standing there larger than life as a huge black unicorn. It was

Alma's turn to swoon. "Oh my!

I know that the female ape has done this, but what a fine specimen you are.

Please allow me to do the exchange before I lose track of what I'm doing." She

stepped closer and knocked her horn against his. Both unicorns froze. Sybeele

was less than happy, but willing to do her part. But after about fifteen

minutes she sat down on the street. She could have gone one step further and

magicked them to a private place, but they hadn't asked for it. She would wait

it out here with the crowd that was gathering to witness two legendary

creatures locked horn to horn in the middle of their town. They hardly noticed

Huntchy. He had often been seen drunk in the streets. That was hardly special. In

their heads, the two unicorns met in a clash. She was unprepared for the power

of his mind, which on the outside seemed rather dull. Inside his head it was

all light and fire and blackest cosmos. She saw visions of things that made no

sense to her. Here and there were snippets of turtles and tigers and foxes and

whores and kings and queens and... She was nearly catatonic within the first ten

seconds of their connection. Jon-Tom

couldn't stop the rush of information flowing into her head. He recognized

right away the danger this much data might pose for her brain. He mentally

wrapped himself around her kernel personality core and shielded her until she

could get up to speed. She immediately

responded. "Oh my stars above! This is like falling forever into a bottomless

pit. How can you live with a mind like this? Any longer adrift and I would have

lost my own!" She

could feel his gentle humor. "I've done a lot, seen a lot, and expanded myself

well beyond what nature intended. You were correct in understanding that my

wife changed me to this form, but what you don't know is that it was once mine

to inhabit." He showed her Dhoov Capell, Lorissa and Fairy Hooves, his son

Rundain and how his help had salvaged a mare's life and had restored the

family's place in their community. She also saw how he nearly lost his life

bringing two unicorns back into the world of the living. But what she got stuck

on were the tender and the not so tender sexual trysts he had had. She latched

onto them like they were her own, and added them to her memories. Maarteel was

great, but they had both been dragons. Her life before the war was one of study

and magical practice. She had had no time to look for a suitable mate at that

time. This human may be an inferior species, but he was superior to anyone she

had ever met. She

began absorbing some of his other memories, including his dalliance with the

planet's life force, someone he referred to as Eve. It was through her that he

was here. And again, more sexual exploits passed to her. The more his life

passed before her, the more she was impressed with him. In real time, he was

nearly as old as she was. There were very few who lived than long naturally.

His was by necessity artificially extended, as was hers. The two of them had a

lot in common! The

memories continued to flow. By the time it was over, she felt as though she had

lived her entire life with him. He halted when it came to his present life, but

it was such a brief burp in time that it hardly mattered. He was presently the

most powerful being on the planet. The fact that his wife held much of his

power meant nothing. He could still perform more magic than the entire combined

wizards of the time. And all he was doing was sitting in a seat of mock

authority, overseeing daily problems from unappreciative folk. True, magic had

come into play, but even that, while minor, had produced impressive results. A flash

of light penetrated her brain. She fought against it momentarily before coming

to the realization that it was daylight entering her eyes. He had broken the

connection. She looked around at the crowd that had gathered while they were

linked. There was a lot of whispering going on. She felt like she needed to go

to the bathroom. Worse, she might have done it while she was under, for she

could feel the wetness running down her backside. Then she noticed the

trembling in her legs. She must have had an orgasm while she was viewing his

memories. With a tinge on embarrassment, she noticed too that she was winking

still. It was hardly the behavior of a lady. Jon-Tom

nudged his wife. "You could have moved us to another location you know. I had

no idea she was going to react this way. Seems to me she has a lot of pent up

need fighting to find its way out. She really needs it bad." His

wife didn't once look up at him. "What does she need bad?" Her eyes were

watching Alma. He

cleared his throat. She wasn't getting his meaning. He leaned into her right

ear. "I mean she needs to get laid something terrible. You know; a big cock

rammed up her..." She whipped around to glare at him. "And I

suppose you know just the fellow?" He was

looking at Huntchy, who suddenly looked very much afraid. "Don't look at me! I

think she's the most wonderful thing in the world, but the thought of mating

with her terrifies me. Besides, I'm already in love with someone else." That

was a bit of news. Even Alma found it touching. "Oh

goody! I adore love stories. Who's the lucky mare? Huntchy

looked like he had eaten sour hay. "It's not that simple. Some of you already

know part of my story, and I have no intention of discussing it out in the open

so everyone can hear it. If you must know, I'll tell it in private. My place or

yours?" Jon-Tom

figured the horse's house was better suited for equines, since there were now

three. But even as he thought this, his wife turned into the prettiest little

unicorn mare, not quite as beautiful as Alma, but nearly equal in her own

right. She spoke up first. "Since we're all now on four legs, I think Huntchy's

house will accommodate us better. Alma may have tapped into my husband's brain,

but I feel there is still a lot that needs to be out in the open. I'm sure

Huntchy won't mind." She looked at him and batted her eyes. He

gulped, eyeing the two beauties standing before him. One was the wife of his

new friend, and the other was unattached, but obviously taken in with his

friend. Right now he wanted to run away and hide. He was fighting down an

erection as it was, and the two females weren't the only cause of it. It was

frightfully embarrassing. But what choice did he have? "Please follow me," he

managed to sputter out. They

walked on in silence, leaving behind a crowd of bemused bystanders. Some shook

their heads, others muttered, but all knew that life in town was not going to

be dull for a long time. There was more going on in the mayor's hall than there

was in the wizard's guild. Heck, every wizard charged for their services, but

these folks threw magic around like it was commonplace. The wiser ones in the

group were nervous, for anyone who treated magic like it was nothing were folks

to be fearful of. On the other hand, their present efforts seemed on the side

of good. As long as it remained there, they would be content. The

quartet reached their destination and made their way into the spacious room

Jon-Tom had recently vacated. It was sparsely furnished still, but more than

adequate for the present need of privacy. Alma turned on him, and without any

reservation, asked point blank, "Well my unadorned cousin; tell me about your

love. Was she as cute and sexy as me?" Huntchy

choked a little before answering. "Kako was the sweetest little thing in the

world to me. She may not have been a unicorn, but she was still lovely to my

eyes. However, she was only half my problem." Sybeele

spoke up. "Kako? I never met her. The girls at school talked about her a lot. I

guess she was very nice, pretty and super smart. Are you saying you were the

reason she left the school and went back home?" "Me? It

depends on how you approach the subject. She was the reason I quit teaching at the

school. You know the rule. Students aren't to be exposed to sexual conduct with

anyone while they're learning. It's compounded when the one you're caught

having sex with is your teacher. Of course, her sire and dam didn't mind. They

happened to like me. But the rules are the rules, and rather than cause trouble

for her, I left the school and she left town. And there is where the matter

stands." Alma

shook her head. "Rules are good. It was that very rule that kept me from having

a relationship while I learned magic. It was only after I transformed that I

found the rule didn't really matter. As a dragon, what kind of punishment are

they going to give you?" She then looked to Huntchy. "You said Kako was only

half your problem. Might I ask what the other half was?" He

looked a bit sheepish. "Kako had a nearly identical twin. The two of them were

so much alike it was incredible. I had the bad fortune of falling for both of

them. Falling for one student is bad enough, much less two. The family

understood, as both siblings felt the same way towards me. But I felt the

guilds would never forgive such dalliance, and I broke all contact with the

twins." Sybeele

was standing there with a thoughtful look on her face. "Kako did have a twin.

Kalos." Her eyes widened a little. "Are you telling me you loved them both?" He

nodded. She

shook her head in wonder. "You picked two taboos to broach you lascivious scoundrel.

No wonder everyone had a fit." Alma and Jon-Tom were left to wonder what was

going on. She filled them in. "You see Kako and Kalos were twins from Othralo,

a place not all that far from here. Both were very intelligent, both were very attractive

and both left after this "scandal" broke. I never met them, but the word around

the school was they were both eye turners. Kako turned even the most jaded

master's head, and the girls all fawned over the other. Kalos, you see, was a

young stallion." Hutchy

closed his eyes in shame. Jon-Tom thought about it a moment. He had never

really felt much in the way of any homosexual stirrings, but he never judged

those who did. He had even engaged in behavior probably considered worse in

this day and age; he had sex with most of his kids, including one male cub. The

more he thought about it, the more he recalled how much anal sex he had engaged

in. True, they were mostly female, but one tight hole was about the same as

another, male or female. "So, you fell in love with two sides of one coin;

twins of opposing sexes. If they didn't mind, and their parents didn't mind,

what stopped you from forming a permanent relationship?" Huntchy

stood up tall, his eyes blazing. "Those damn guild masters threatened to have a

gelding spell placed on me if I went through with it. It was bad enough that I

quit my teaching post, much less that I would lose whatever masculinity I had.

So I rebelled in the only way I knew how; by becoming a low life drunkard.

Everyone in town knows at least part of the story. But then you came along and

forced my hoof. Now I need to go through life alone and unhappy and sober!" Jon-Tom

was succinct. "Horseshit! I'm in charge in this town, and I have the power to

back up my decree. So for one, I would have thought you would have realized

that the moment those two foals left the school, the rule no longer applied.

And I am well aware of the fact that there is no rule on the town's books that

prohibit either multiple spouses, or spouses of the same sex. And while I'm

here, there will be no such rule! Look me in the eye and tell me I don't mean

it!" Alma

tittered. "Believe him cousin. I've seen his mind, and while it may appear dim

on the outside, that's because he has to reign in an awful lot on the inside. If you take him as he is, a time traveler, then throughout all his years he is

married to over two hundred females of all types. Just looking at those

memories got me off like I've never felt before. If he's giving you permission

to marry, I'd not argue and instead make my way as fast as I could to Orthalo

and get down on your knees and propose. Looking around this house, it looks to

me like you have plenty of room for a few extras. Though I must say, your taste

in decorations needs to be refined. She was

referring to the shark's teeth, which were still in a pile on the floor. "That's

my doing," replied Jon-Tom. "They came from one of my meals. Everyone seemed to

want them, so my best idea was to keep them safe until I could figure out what

to do with them." She

sniffed derisively. "Who would want a bunch of shark teeth? Nasty sharp things

that are only good for killing! They're almost as bad as dragon teeth. Trust me;

I'll not miss that body anytime soon. Now that I got my original back, I intend

to make up for lost time!" Sybeele

frowned a little. This unicorn seemed to have the hots for her husband. She

wasn't angry. Heck, he had that effect on a lot of females. The question was,

would she allow him to dally with this equine hussy or not? She had already gone

far to be accommodating. How far would she have to go before her patience ran

out?" He must

have caught what she was thinking. "Look dearest; I made a promise to be

faithful to only you. I have no intention of breaking it, no matter how

fetching the female may be." What he wasn't saying was that in his present

form, he could smell the hormones flowing off of Alma like a hot wind boiling

down the slopes of a volcano. It was taking his full effort to keep his loins

contained. Sybeele

looked at Alma. "My husband is a fine fellow. What he says is true; he has

promised to be faithful to me. But truth is not fact. So, that being said, I

hereby grant him permission to spend one day with you. One day. After that, you

will need to find you fun somewhere else, with someone else." Both

Alma and her husband looked at her, their jaws hanging and their mouths agape. "Darling

wife, what are you saying? If you think about it, I can just as easily have sex

with you as a unicorn and still not break my vow." "Shut

up, you idiot," she retorted. "If you do as I say, you'll be at least faithful

to my command. Do it. I know you'll enjoy it, and I know full well that she'll

enjoy it. The only thing I ask is that you limit it to one day." Alma

looked thankful, but shocked. "My lady, what you offer is very generous. I will

bow to your husband's judgment. I will not do this if my fun comes at your

expense." Sybeele's

lips curved up into a sad grin. "Consider it an offering of goodwill. You've

been in his mind, so you know more about him than I do. I give one this time to

experience what you never had the chance to do. After that, you must leave him

alone. I trust him to do the same. He might as well have an affair he is aware

of." The only one in the room who didn't seem to get the insinuation was Jon-Tom.

Huntchy had inklings, and Alma picked up on it right away. They wisely kept

their tongues inside their mouth. The

matter was thus settled. Huntchy would trot off to Othralo and propose to his

loves, Sybeele would go back home and wait out her husband while he made this

poor lost soul deliriously happy. And Alma, well, hopefully she would be able

to walk come morning. Sybeele decided not to tell her some of her husband's

propensities for the kinky. No point in spoiling the surprise for her.
