this is another story that i will be writing on top of musket

one night. one night is all it takes. nowhere to go. he is now breathing down your neck as he reaches out with his grimy, mangled hand to grab you so he can drag your screaming body back to his cell and the last thing you will ever see is a padded room door close to darkness. the last thing you will ever hear is his ragged breathing.

but that is not the beginning. but where is the beginning? you could look at it literally by starting at the big bang theory, or the formation of the earth, or the birth of mankind. another place you can find the beginning is with the opening of the Trenton Psychiatric Hospital in 1848. however, i think that the beginning is with men seeing as this story is not one about the earth or the big bang theory and although this story has something to do with Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, it is only a place, an arena you may call it. yet another theory of where this story can start is with Dr. henry cotton who mutilated patients but- Ah! i now know here we start, we start...in another person's view, a wolf by the name of Skyler Cannel...

i was driving to my new job at the Trenton Psychiatric Hospital. i would have stayed at my old job but unfortunately i couldn't as the pay was not enough to sustain me so i quit and looked for work somewhere that payed more in the jobs section of the weekly newspaper. along with finding this job, i found out a little bit about the hospital i was to applying for. however, there is one thing i was a little bit confused about was the amount they were paying the person to work their for. it was at least twice if not more the amount you would get paid for a job in that particular line of work which was convinced me to try to land this job. i was almost there, being able to see the building from where i currently was. i was about to get a drink from the coffee mug i had brought, my hand on the lip of it, when SMASH! i slammed on the brakes and jumped, spilling the liquid, almost burning myself as i looked at the corpse on my windshield.

it was a bird. a raven from the looks of it by the shape of the beak. skyler could tell this as his uncle was a bird watcher and would take his nephew with him many times. but something was off. the coloring was different. whereas a normal raven would be black, this one was white. i would've thought nothing of it, thinking that it was maybe an albino, but what deterred me from thinking this was it's eyes. the eyes of an albino are more often than not red, this raven's eyes were not red, not even a dark brown like the color the a raven's eyes usually are. this raven's eyes were hazel with flecks of green near the pupil, a lot like my own eyes. i got out of my car to see if i could take the bird off of the windshield. i was about to touch the bird when a honk from the other car startled me. "move it!" the driver said, face turning a shade of red. "one moment!" i shouted back as i turned back to throw the dead bird off my car, but when i turned, i saw that the bird was gone, leaving no trace of it ever having an accident. i tried not to think about it too much as i got back into my car and drove off, unaware of that same same bird watching me on a nearby street lamp.

i parked my car in the parking lot and looked up at the front of the building looked a little old for this current time period and if you looked at one of the buildings you would see a decaying structure. when i walked in, i noticed two things. one, being that the building may look a little bit old on the outside, the inside looked state-of-the-art. two, besides my self and the elder lady at the front desk, the big room was devoid of life. i walked up to the front desk and was practically peering over the edge at the old lady. "how may i help you?" she asked with a voice that seemed to be stronger than possible coming from something so small. "yes, i'm here for the job interview?" i replied politely. "what a shame..." she muttered underneath her breath, thinking i couldn't hear whilst slouching a bit in her chair. "excuse me?" i inquired, making sure i heard correctly. she sat right back up to being proper and said almost cheerfully "hmm? oh! the door at the end of the hallway" while pointing a bony finger to my left. "thank you" i replied, but it seemed she didn't hear but instead, just muttered again, "what a shame,". i walked down the tiled floor to the almost perfectly symmetrical hallway if not for the doorknob at the end of it, which you could see the remaining sunlight coming from the crack on the floor. as i walked on further, i noticed another thing; the doors on each side were giving off the impression that the room behind was empty. when i reached the end, i was about to knock at the door when a man opened the door swiftly and i had to sidestep quickly i order to dodge the swinging door and to get out of the path of the man that looked like he was on a rampage, hands balled up into tight fists. "i CAN'T believe it, i am perfectly qualified..." he ranted as he barreled past me. him saying that got me thinking. if he is as qualified as he says, 'then what chance do i have?' "come in," a disembodied voice called from inside
