As the midday sun shone on the airfield and created a shimmering heat haze, two German Shepherd pilots exiting a sleek Learjet looked at a rusted B-29 bomber and chuckled. "Jesus! somebody must be desperate to have bought this piece of shit" One of them said "Yeah, I wouldn't trust a feral to fly that thing" the other chuckled.

All the engine hatches were opened. I was just about finished repairing the inner starboard engine myself. Before you ask, yes, I am an aircraft mechanic. Well I use to fix big rigs before I bought the plane at a cheap price. I turned it from a bomber into a massive fighter aircraft. The original engines were modified. Each massive cylinder had enough Nitrous to jump start a truck. I piped up the last of the nitro lines and pressed a secret button, closing all the engine access panels. My red and silver fur clickened with oil and sweat.

I made my way up to the cockpit, sat in the pilots seat and switched on the diagnostic computers. The tarps over the wings concealed a surprise. THIS aircraft is fitted with 10 .50 calibre machine guns, six 20 mm M-197 Gatling guns salvaged from three American AH-1 Huey Cobra helicopters and two 8 inch rapid fire Kesseler cannons from my own design. Each cannon fires a 10 pound explosive metal slug and both are fitted to the inner most port and starboard wing spars. As I sat in the cockpit checking the digital and analogue displays my crew arrived.

The first person to enter the plane was my wolf co-pilot Vincent, "Hey man, whats up?" "Hi Vincent im doing good, the inboard port engine is acting up again. Thats the second time in 6 months that I had to fix it" I grumbled. "Dont worry about it buddy, I know you can fix it" Just as I checked the engine diagnostic dials. The gunner arrived. "How are you doing Tony" Vincent asked "I don't want to fucking talk about it" Tony the German shepherd gunner said angrily. Sensing the anger in the air we both let it slide. Tony made his way to his station, he controls the fire computers and reloads the Kesseler cannons, the machine guns and the rotary cannons as well as looking after them. The way that Tony has the armament set up really is poetry in motion, even though it is a deadly kind of poetry it has saved our asses more than once.

Breaking the oppressive atmosphere was the radar officer, Naraki wolf appeared, looking smug as usual. Nobody wanted to say it out loud but the wolf brought a positive atmosphere to the crew and every mission he that he is involved in always ends with victory for us, and a safe landing to the country that has hired us in the first place.

Marcus the red fox electronics officer was the final crew member of Chaos 32, he literally bounced up the ladder into the plane with his usual good natured humour "Hey my fellow fighters whats happening with you all?" He said he smiled his way into the cockpit where Vincent, Sean said in his good natured way. The first time he said that, everyone but me were confused. Being a native Irishman, it was the normal greeting, Ginsenshi was still confused about the greeting but hid it well.

Pressing the intercom button I called Tony from the weapons station to talk about the mission we were hired for. The talk in the cockpit was for our new mission, flying halfway around the world to take out a hidden military base, judging from the satellite photographs, this was not going to be an easy mission. There were at least 14 anti-aircraft installations that we would have to destroy before we actually made it to the base itself. The base had more AA guns surrounding it, but these were hidden and would be a pain in the ass to try and find them before they found us. "Right, so its just like the last mission then, hard and heavy. Got it." Tony said as he went back to the weapons bay. The rest of us looked at each other and remembered the last mission, it was 4 months ago and it was hell. The plane was shot to shit, lost two engines, half the tail and stabilisers and 3 machine guns. The rotaty cannons were damaged by lucky shots. We just about landed on two engines well one if you take into consideration that as soon as we hit the runway, the other starboard engine quit causing the aircraft to veer off the runway onto the grass, almost flipping us.

This is our first mission since then, nobody wanted to say it either, but we were all nervous. I climbed down the ladder with Naraki to remove to tarpaulins covering the wings. "I have to say, I didnt think you would have fixed everything by yourself" Naraki said as he removed the thin tarp that covered the portside Kesseler cannon "Yeah, well I had a load of free time and thought I would fix her up again" I said as I inspected one of the gatling guns, spinning it easily. In no time at all the two of us removed all the coverings and entered the plane again. Naraki went to his station as I made my way to the cockpit, sitting in the pilots seat.

I fastened my harness and flipped the starter switches, hearing all four engines splutter for a few seconds before roaring into life. I gave the throttles a jiggle to make sure that everything was working before activating the intercom "All right guys, strap in. We're on our way. Heres to a good mission" I turned to Vincent as he flicked through the preflight checklist. "Flaps, slats, everything's good on the dials. RPM is good, fuel pressure normal, oil and hydraulic pressures are fine. You're good to go" "Thanks" I said as I released the brakes and taxied down the runway hearing the four modified engines reaching their full take off power. Pushing the roof mounted throttles forward, the engine noise increased as we gathered speed. When I pulled back slightly on the stick and the plane took off. Feathering the props it was a smooth ascent into the blue cloudless sky. So began our mission into the unknown.
