#1 of A New Lifestyle

I woke up this morning, as a teen named Johnnathan Kaltamiener in the beautiful state of Washington, looked in the mirror, saw my, 16 year old, 5'10" frame staring back at me, with my light brown medium length hair sitting atop my head, although I'm not that muscular, I AM quite strong for sitting on the computer, or hanging out all day. This was the day that my life would be changed forever.

This is my first story that I have made, there is more done, and my friend has edited a bit already, I would love any feedback on how to make my writing better, although a bit shorter than what I would have liked, so the next parts will most likely be longer. Enjoy!

A New Lifestyle

Chapter 1

Part 1

I woke up this morning, as a teen named Johnnathan Kaltamiener in the beautiful state of Washington, looked in the mirror, saw my, 16 year old, 5'10" frame staring back at me, with my light brown medium length hair sitting atop my head, although I'm not that muscular, I AM quite strong for sitting on the computer, or hanging out all day. This was the day that my life would be changed forever.

I was eating my regular breakfast of Bacon and eggs, although the bacon tasted kinda weird. Although I thought nothing of it.

I walked to the bus stop at 7:20AM sharp, the day started out regular, until about sixth period. I was just hanging out, doing some group work with our US history books, when I felt this dull pain starting to spread from the top of my head, down my spine, and throughout the rest of my body. I went down to the nurses' office and got sent home because they thought that it was some sort of "Contagious illness."

As I was waiting for my mother, the pain was replaced with a feeling that my skin was burning and was itching all over like crazy! Shortly thereafter, I started to sprout fur, that's right, FUR. everywhere on my body! Before my mom could get there, I ran off, luckily the school is right next to a forest on the outskirts of town.

Before I could even get into the forest, I was already started to gain more paw-like hands, covered in fur and gaining pads on the palms. Although I didn't notice at the time, my shoes had fallen off, showing my feet that were quickly growing fur and paw pads on the bottoms. My chest was the next part to start growing fur, then to my tummy, even further to my genitals, and finally down my legs.

Some time later, I was able to find a spot of slow moving water in a river. That's where I was able to finally get a good look at myself. I noticed that I had mainly light brown fur, with a grey tummy, arms, and legs. My old hair atop of my head seemed to be gone.

It was starting to get late, luckily my fur was able to keep me warm in the wild, although I wasn't able to get comfy on the forest floor, I was able to get some sleep.

I woke up the next morning, feeling the most refreshed I had been in a while. I was quite hungry after the changes that had happened to me. I was against it at first, but I knew that I had to get something to eat, so I walked around looking for a small animal of some sort to eat. While I was doing so, I started to notice how I could find the scent of an animal and track it. I was starting to get used to my new senses, and getting closer to accepting my new form.

I ended up finding a rabbit, and there is where I found out how to use my newly formed claws. It was needless to say, the claws helped vastly when it came to catching the rabbit. The only problem was actually trying to eat it... raw.

I decided to just try it and eat it how it was. To say the least, it wasn't as bad as I would have expected, it turns out, that my taste buds had been altered slightly through the process. And was I grateful for that!

Later on, approaching midday I was getting used to this new body, and I also had time to think about why, or how, I was turned into an anthro-morphic animal, resembling a husky. It was then that I noticed how my breakfast had been oddly strange tasting the day before, when I changed. But the only problem was... that I couldn't, for the life of me, figure out how to change back.

My thoughts were soon cut short by the sounds of sirens off in the distance. Then I could smell it! My mother, and some policemen, I presumed, had come to look for me! I went toward the sounds of the sirens, and their combined shouts of my name, and my mother's scent although stopped half way, debating weather I should or shouldn't go, since my mother might not know it was me, or maybe she wouldn't even accept me as her son.
