Sorry if these aren't coming as thick & fast as you guys would like but I had some chapters ready for upload & I had a computer change since then so I had to re-write the next chapters
Chapter 2: Student Shenanigans
Grey rolls the Capri into his usual parking space in the college parking lot, near the building. Grey & Jackie were on the same floor in the same building. Grey did Visual Communication & Jackie did film & broadcasting, two artistic industries. Jackie steps out but Grey remains
"Yer not comin' in droogie?", she asked
"Naw, just wantin' this roll up before ah go in"
"Ah okay, seeya later man", she waves & heads into the building. Grey returns the wave & gets back to having his smoke.
About fifteen minutes pass & Grey steps out before suddenly being tapped on the shoulder. He turns round to see a black dragoness, a couple of inches shorter than Grey. It was Janine
"Howdy Grey"
"Feckin' nora Janine, nearly gave me 'eart attack"
"I have a tendancy to do that", she chuckles. "I just wanna say thanks for that date"
"Went well ah gather?"
"Oh totally. Jackie's great. We spent the night talking about films & music. She's a great person. Love her accent too. I think we have chemistry", she smiles & her tail sways as the sergal grabs his bag & starts walking with Janine to the building.
"Well t'at's crackin'", he smiles as they walk in. Their floor was on the third floor so they decided to wait for the lift. "How's life other than t'at?"
"Oh good though my flatmate has gone mad"
"Mad wi' what?", he lifts an ear & quirks a brow in curiousity
"Well, he was complaining that because I was over at your's past one AM I don't respect him& that I don't help out with anything. He wants to move to a new flat without me but I can't afford to live on my own", she explains
"Well bugger me, well y' need t' find someone t' take thee in". The lift doors finally open & the sergal lets Janine in first
"Thanks", she presses the button with their floor & the lift doors close. "Well actually Grey, I was hoping to move in with you & Jackie". Grey is silent for a moment & then sighs.
"Ah'm not sure. Look, ah'll see what can be done but ah'm not promisin' owt..."
"Oh thanks Grey!", she hugs Grey tightly, making him go erk a bit. "If you were female I'd french you"
"Ah don't let t'at technicality stop thee", they laugh a bit then the doors open again on their floor. Janine walks out first, followed by Grey. "Remember, ah said ah can't promise owt, it depends if we 'ave space or not"
"Well I can sleep with Jackie", she smirks & Grey's brow quirks
"But, t'at room is right next t' mine, thee'll keep me up", he chuckles
"haha, don't worry. I wont be any trouble. I'll pay my way, contribute to chores & groceries. C'mon man"
"Ah'll 'ave words wi' Jackie & work out house rules wi' her. We'll see y' have a roof over yer head"
"Thanks Grey", she looks down the corridor & sees Jackie waving at her, Janine waves back at her before Jackie goes into class. "She's hot isn't she? You're lucky to have her as a friend"
"Aye, though ah'm lucky t' 'ave friends at all", the sergal walks off into class before Janine knew what just happened. She gulps a little & walks down the corridor.
Grey heads into his class, towards a table with a Neko, a Vixen, a Paradise Bird & an Otter. He takes his place by the Neko, a female with dark brown hair, slim bodied & a smart pair of glasses. She wore a pair of blue jeans with black trainers, white top & black unmarked hoodie. She looked at Grey sitting down.
"Hello Grey", she said without changing her neutral expression
"Eyup Tamara", he looks over at the camp, male paradise bird, "Eyup Tyson". He reacted slowly, looking quite groggy.
"Oh hey Grey. Sorry if I'm a bit snappy today but I got drunk last night & am having a hangover"
"But thee 'asn't snapped at me..."
"IT WAS JUST A PREWARNING!!!"
"A'RIGHT simmer down. So you got drunk last night?"
"Yes... again". The others chuckled & then the vixen added in
"So, you're getting drunk every night?"
"Why change a good habit Charis?", Tyson responded
"Yeah but all that Alcohol can't be good for you". Grey rests his head on his hand like a facepalm.
"Ergh, don't give me this 'ealthy lifestyle crap this early in t' mornin'. Y'know ah think it's a farce. Ooh, ah daren't eat this mars bar, it 'as more than one calory, ah'd die. Gimme feckin' strength"
"Well you don't need to worry, you're in good shape anyway" Tamara added
"Ah don't care. Thee doesn't need special dietin' t' slim down. It's a con & a farce & you lot are thick enough t' go along wi' it. Honestly, a long walk every week does wonders y' know. T'at's last ah'll say on t' matter now gi' me peace".
Grey finished with a sigh & just then, their tutor Peter comes round with cameras. He was a human, Scottish in his late forties with black & grey hair. He also had quite a slim build.
"Mornin' Folks!" he began "Hope you all enjoyed the weekend..."
"Tyson 'ere enjoyed it too much", Grey muttered almost silently but Peter heard
"Ooh is that so? Hope he's fit enough for our exercise today. I'm sure Grey will be happy with this one. It is solo work which takes advantage of this cauld, bright morning. You will all take these cameras & go out, capturing images of the effects of the frost in the area. Anything from grass to frozen puddles, just take some good images that could be used in our winter-theme film posters. That is all ladies & gents, I expect you to start coming back in about thirty minutes. Have fun!", Peter finished as he got back to his desk in front of the laptop, putting on some Led Zeppelin shortly afterwards.
Tyson had decided to group up with Carris & Shannon, a short river otter with a rather stinghy attitude towards Grey. Grey & Tamara however decided to work alone, it was a solo exercise after all & they both knew what they were doing. On the way outside, Grey met up with Ollie, an anthro Olive Python dressed in similar punk rocker attire to Grey however he serves the American Punk Rock, something Grey isn't particularly fond of but the two are pretty good friends, especially after an incident between the rather harmless python & a trio of armed, hooded high-schoolers where the sergal saved his scales.
"Oh hey Grey man, what's up?" he greeted as they did a fist bump
"Not much fella, doin' a little photography. Are y' doin' owt at all?"
"Nah not really, haven't got class for a while yet. Mind if I hang with you?"
"Naw not at all man, feel free, could do wi' some intelligent company for once apart from Tamara"
"Is your class still giving you issues?"
"Aye, totally. They're so feckin' thick, drawn in by all these feckin' diet things & anti-drug stuff that they know nowt about" he sighs as he light a roll up outside & came up to the pond behind the college building. Grey was comfy but Ollie was feeling the cold & starting to slow his movements
"Yeah man, the system is pulling them in... aren't you cold?"
"Naw, this is cosy for me, even if ah had nowt on"
"Oh yeah, your fur & your warm blood right?"
"Aye, go get a coffee t' warm yersel' up", the sergal said, kneeling by the reeds, trying to capture a shot of the frost glistening from the early morning sun.
"Nah I'll be fine", the serpent replied, zipping up his hoodie beneath his denin jacket & swaying his tail, brushing the frosty grass lightly while the sergal worked.
Meanwhile in the film & Broadcasting class, Jackie was talking to her friends about the night she had with Janine, several of her human classmates weren't too keen on the subject but her closest pals Alex, a female raven, Jacob, a penguin & Dale, a bengal tiger, were used to this so listened, particularly Jacob & Dale
"Jackie", Jacob started, "you're such a freakin' faggot man"
"aye well has someone told you you're such a virgin?" Jackie fired back, Dale kept quiet, not very unusual
"Good thing you had fun last night man", Alex stated, "I was too tired to go out on blind dates. So, Gary put you on to her?"
Jackie laughed, "Gary?! I'll have to tell Grey that, he'll have a fit. But aye, he did. He's a good pal like that"
"Do you think he could do the same for me man?" Dale added suddenly
"Dunno, you'll have to have a word with him. He's hardly a dating agency"
"Grey is single isn't he?" Jacob asked "When you talk about him, you never mention his relionships"
"That's because he's only had the one", Jackie sighed "He must be so desperate for loving y'know?". They all agreed & then their tutor came in to give them their assignments.
Two hours later, Grey came out of his class feeling pleased with his efforts though couldn't help but notice he was being followed by Dale, the pair briefly met during a special Halloween zombie photoshoot with the rest of their floor a few weeks ago. Dale was readying himself to ask Grey to find him a date but shook his head & went to the canteen in the other building. Something was bothering Grey though, suddenly most of his class started giving him dirty looks like he just committed murder or something. He shrugged this feeling off & headed out of the building, it was there when Grey clocked his eyes on Steve, a black stallion similar to Grey's height. Grey knew a while that he was bi & had been plucking up the courage to ask him out. He headed over to him with a smile & just when he was about to say a friendly 'Eyup', shock, horror, running up & clinging to his toned arm was Shannon. His eyebrows lifted & his heart sank, he sighed & carried on off into town to get something to eat
