Chapter 16

My eyes opened as I saw Kino. I was about to scream his name when I

realized we were under water. He looked lifeless. Did he give me his

last breath? I held him tightly as I heard banging. It was Noah, Axel,

Stephen, and some dude. I gave Kino some of the air I had left.

The glass shattered and we came out. Kino coughed water out as I just

tried to get air in my lungs. "Brian! Kino!" They all held me and

Kino. I didn't let go of him. He is my hero. He saved me. I was too

hard on him before. I tugged his arm and saw he didn't move "Kino

please wake up." no words. Everyone grew silent as I kept tugging his

arm. "Kino wake up!" I placed my head on his wet shirt and began to

cry. I hit his chest "Open your eyes...please." Someone was about to

touch my shoulder "Brian..." Their tone made me think I lost him

"Don't touch me! Stay away!" I held Kino's body tighter pressing my

face agents his chest "Don't scare our kids Brian." I felt a light

touch on my back. I looked over and saw Kino grinning at me. "Kino!" I

squeezed him tightly "Gently babe. It still hurts." I loosened my grip

and nuzzled him. "Kino." I smiled more and I felt Noah's, Stephen's

and Ghost's hand on me. I looked up at them "Sorry for screaming at

you." "It's fine we know how you much you love him." The girl walked

out. I would have said something, but she's just one person what can

she do? I held Kino as he rubbed my back. Ghost picked me up as Axel

picked Kino up.

We got back home, Axel suggested that Noah and Stephen go to his place

for a while. Miss Cortez went back with that one guy. Ghost stayed

with us just in case. Ghost helped us go around and brought us food. Kino

and I stayed in bed together. We stayed naked and as you

can guess it we had tons of fun. "I love you Brian." "I love you more

Kino." He began to play with my hair "You made an army you know?"

"Huh?" "With all of our friends Axel, Ghost, Noah, Stephen, Miss

Cortez, and Richard. Though you don't really know Miss Cortez and

Axel, and Richard. You made an army that took on an army of hunters.

And, they beat them all." "But one." "What?" "There was a girl with

red hair, round glasses, and wearing black clothes. She walked out when

I thought you died." He sighed and rubbed my back "I hope that letting

her go doesn't come back and bite us in the ass." "Me too." He kissed

my head and put my necklace around my neck. "Thank you Kino." "I have

to go and get something I'll be back later ok?" I nodded my head

closing my eyes. "I'll be here waiting for you." We made an army, but

I wonder.

I looked around and saw they've placed me in some machine. I was

alone, but that's when I saw the girl. "You're going to die freak

lover." "Their not freaks." "Yeah, sure they deserve to die this is a

human world." "No, it's a world for all of us to live in." "Say what

you want." The man who I can only guess is the leader came in. "Master

he's ready." That answered my thought "Good, start the machine up on

low and send out a blast that will draw in the gifted." "Yes, sir." She

walked over to the machine. I could tell she was about to hit a button

when the speaker went off. "Master, please pick up." "Hold it." He

walked over to the mike and spoke into it. "I'll be back I have to get

rid of some unwanted trash." He walked out and I was left alone with

the girl. "So boy mind telling me what your power is?" "I'm not sure."

"Do you want to know what this machine does?" "Sure." "It steals both

the life force of a person and their abilities." "And, what if

they don't have any?" "Their life will end in seconds." "Will it still

work?" "Not as powerful, but it can still call about two. We don't

think it's kind to use innocent human lives. That's why it's fine if

you die. That and it only works once the person dies." "And have you

tried with people living?" "Yes, it doesn't work the person has to

die." "You can die no one loves you, and that's also why you aren't so

innocent." "Someone loves me. Doesn't that make me an innocent if

someone loves me and is doing this all to protect me?" She took a pause

and walked over to me "No." She started hitting buttons probably

warming it up or something. "You don't need to do this." "Of course I

do." "You don't get what love is then." "Master saved me from a

vampire." "So...your willing to do what it takes so he can reach his

goal huh?" "Yes, I'll give him my life." "There's not a thing I can

say to stop you huh?" "No, nothing at all." I didn't know what to say

now. The building shook and she slipped on the floor in front of me. I

was about to ask if she was ok, but that's when I heard a howl. It

must be Noah. The girl began to stand up. I kicked her in the head and

screamed. I wasn't sure if they could hear me or not, and I wasn't

sure why, but I began to cry "Kino! Noah! Stephen! Ghost! Save me!"

"Fucking brat!" The girl stood up and slapped me across my face. It

stung so much. "Now apologize you bitch!" I looked at her with cold

eyes. James was coming. "Shut the fuck up you fucking cunt and go suck

a dick or better yet go get laid!" I tugged at the straps as they slowly began to

rip I'm glad when James gives me more strength "Tisk Tisk Tisk." She flipped a

switch as I turned back to my original self "What happened!" "I made

you go back to your original self of course. I know about your

"shifting" and let's just say I planed for it." So I don't even have

James to save me. All of a sudden the master ran in shutting the door.

"Master what's wrong?" "Is the machine warmed up?" "Yes." "Then start

it!" She began hitting buttons. She turned it on and I began to scream

it felt like my life was ending. I pictured Kino holding me. I was dying

and no one was coming. "Let go of my boy friend!" Kino! I'm so happy you came.

I opened my eyes to see it's dark outside all ready. "Ghost is Kino

back home yet?" "Yes, he will be opening the house door this instant."

Kino came up and got into bed with me smiling. "Hey babe I got

something really special to show you tomorrow." "Show me now." He

smiled and kissed my forehead. "Nope." "Fine I'll wait, but so will

you." He grinned and pinned me down. I could feel his hands stripping

me naked. "I don't think I'll wait for this." He smiled and kissed me

repeatedly. "I love you Kino." He smiled and touched me. "I'll show it

to you tomorrow at Le Café I promise."
