Chapter 14
"Get out now! Ghost get them out!" Ghost came and so did Noah. I guess
that means he woke up. After a bit Kino and Axel were gone. "It
doesn't matter anymore..." I walked up slowly to my room. I locked the door. It doesn't matter my life doesn't matter everyone I love just ends up hurting me. There's no point in caring anymore. Ghost came in the room. I almost forgot he doesn't need to open doors
he can just go right threw them. "How are you feeling?" "I'm not sure
nor do I care." "Yes, you do Brian. Remember how you were so happy
when he took you to prom. You know he wouldn't hurt you willingly. He
risked his life for you once," Ghost ruffled my hair slightly "He took
on two hunters to keep you safe. Soon after he asked Axel to help him
kill more. He did all those things to keep you safe." Ghosted kissed
my head and left.
I wasn't sure what I should do anymore. I took off my necklace and I
pulled out the gem I got in hell from her. It's only been about an
hour since Kino left. Boom! The house felt as if a bomb exploded near the house. Boom! I
dropped my necklace I was about to grab it as I heard screaming from
Noah and then Stephen and finally I heard it from Ghost screaming. "You
guys!" I was about to reach for the doorknob when it blew open pushing me
back. I saw a hunter, but then he fell to the floor. His body was
dragged back and it was gone. I saw my older brother. I stayed frozen
looking at him. "Get up twat!" "I have to go help them!" I stood up
quickly going past him as he grabbed my by my arm tossing me to the floor. "If you want to help them you have to come with me so these
hunters won't come and get you again." I just stood up and looked
around and held him tightly as he took me away from there. I then
heard a scream, but it wasn't anyone's scream it was Kino's scream
"I'm coming Brian!" "Kino!" Brother held me tighter I suppose I was
going to fall or something. "I'll take you to the place the hunters
won't find." "All right." I held him tighter looking back. Am I really
leaving my future to be with them? "No your coming to keep them safe." I almost forgot he can read minds.
Ed set me down in the middle of a room pointing around. "There's food
and water there and there are a few secret escapes. Your bed is in
there. Got it?" "Yes." He left the room. One fridge, one bed, one tv
set, one broken fan, a lamp, two doors, a closet, and one window. It didn't have
a carpet and there was no color to it. Just a grey place it was dull.
It made me feel depressed just being here. I looked out the window and
I was really high up. About six stories I think. I saw a large group
of people storming inside. So if they kill me when I'm alone they
won't hurt my friends. It's not like I have much to live for. I saw
brother on top of a near by building looking at me, and he was gone.
It's been a few minutes since the people ran inside. I could hear them
near by so I hid. I heard one person's footsteps. Why come inside
alone? "Brian...where are you?" I-It's Kino! "Kino!" I ran out of the
closet and hugged him tightly. Giving him a kiss as he grabbed me
tightly. Soon enough the group of people came in the room pointing
guns and cross bows at us. A man with a grey beard came in looking at
us. "Kill him and take the boy." "I won't let you hurt Brian." Kino
pushed me behind him looking at him. "That's very sweet of you boy,
but..." He shoved Kino to the side as others pointed guns at him. "We
just need this one. Kill him now!" "NO!" I shouted as loud as I could
but it also felt strange I couldn't control my self in this scream my
head it began to hurt. I saw a guy being thrown out the window as a
few others fell to the ground bleeding from their ears. "Pull that gun
away and take him with us!" It all went dark I couldn't move anymore.
Kino... I wanted to reach for him, but I couldn't even tell where he was.
I was so mean to him it shouldn't matter if he doesn't want to say
anything now. He can tell me his secrets when he's ready not because
I'm forcing him to tell me. Kino I'm so sorry. "...K...i...n...o..."
I woke up and looked around I was with Kino. "Kino!" I held him
tightly and kissed him closing my eyes. He held me there our lips
locked in time. I held him tightly and I knew this was real.
He belongs to me. I placed my hands on his shoulders as he placed his
on my hips "Keep it rated PG-13 you two!" I blushed and saw that we
weren't alone. There was a man with chains on his body, and another who looked dead or asleep. "You must be gifted." Kino spoke up "No only he is." Kino held me protectively
looking at the man "No you both must be that's why your both here. If
you weren't then they wouldn't bring you here." I held Kino and looked
at him "No, they just brought me because if they didn't he would have
killed them all. They only brought me to keep themselves safe."
"Kino..." He kissed my head as the old man spoke "Haha if you say so.
I hear that they're going to use a machine to drain the power of two gifted powers, but it can only take one at a time." He laughed and closed his
eyes. I crawled over to him touching his cheek gently as his eyes
opened quickly "Love is the strongest fuel out there!" He closed his eyes. I
cheeked his pulse just in case but it was no good he was dead. I
looked at Kino and he looked back at me. I wonder if he knew what he
was talking about. I wonder if Kino was one like me? I really hope so,
but even so. "Brian do you remember my promise to you?" Just then
three guys came in with that old guy again "Get that boy and plug him
to the machine. We will drain his energy to power our machine to call more and kill those freaks!" They came in and dragged me away from Kino who
was being pushed back by a guy with a spear. "Kino!" I stretched my hand out
to him as he tried to grab it "Brian!" The man pulled me away more as
Kino was shoved back.
The guys looked at me as they strapped me down to a weird machine. One
of them spoke up "Master if we do this he will die." "There must be
sacrifices to get rid of all those monsters." I wasn't sure what to
do, but Kino is here and he loves me. He promised me that when he's
around he will protect me. "I TRUST YOU! KINO!!" I close my eyes hard
wishing he is going to save me I don't want to die.
