Providence: crumbling tower's Chapter 1 part 1

Kochan a large floating city held up by massive pure magic crystals called Dal Atora. The city is massive holding well over 2,000 people. The street is made of marble along with some of the bigger houses. it's a safe haven from the ever growing raids, no one has any idea what the raiders are but the creatures leave no trace of themselves after death seeming to just disappear in a cloud of black being a safe haven there have been routes put in place for if they were ever attacked kochan was once the most heavy defended city tho it's now is a neutral city so its defences are not what it once was. Living in this city is a little dragon of about five years old called Lightair Loka. He is gifted because of the orb that hovers in the finial curve of his horn, changing colour to his emotions. This feature is a rare variant found in the light dragons called light hearts they are very powerful and can learn to use any element they wish to tho the element will not be full power and will drain more for the light hearts energy reserve. It a beautiful sunny day in the floating city of Kochan, class has just finished in the city's massive temple. Lightair is running with his friend to a little field full of flowers, a blue dragon with bright yellow hair yells to Lightair. "Lightair catch" the dragon hits a white and black ball over to him "Go long Mera" Lightair kicking the ball back to her the whole class of dragons and gryphons are happily playing in the field, but then the laughter is broke by a yell from one of the temple guardians. "Children came now the city is under attack when need to get to the fort now." Mera and Lightair both look at each other Mera runs over to Lightair "Lightair come on lets go." Lightair shakes his head. "No Mera, you go I got to find my dad I'll come find you" Lightair turns to run off but Mera runs in front of him eyes sparkling with tears. "Then I am going with you Lightair." Lightair is jumped into a hug by her. "No, Mera, you must go with the guardians my dad told me if this was to happen I must go to him." Lightair backs up tears in his own eyes and runs off turning for a moment to yell back to Mera, "Best friends for ever." Mera wiping the hair from her face replies "Best friends for ever" before she turns to run over and join the group as they leave for the fort[.] Lightair turns to run down the streets to his home on the other side of the city. Fires dances in the distance, burning embers blocking out the sky. Lightair's body is glowing from the low light. he darts in and out of building running his way to the sound of a battle going on near his home he stops dead seeing a massive burst of light energy "oh no that looks like dads last stand power" he says aloud running as fast as he can he jumps into his home courtyard nearly burning his paws. The courtyard is all but a molten hole, the ash hangs heavy here home's around ablaze the glowing of the molten ground leads to the raiders the one's not dead are now fleeing for dear life. Lightair scans the area seeing his mum and dad tied and bloody, running around the whole Lightair over to them crying "Mum dad are you ok" Lightair's dad replaying pain in his voice. "We are but we are not going to last long Lightair it's time" Lightair's mums says "Our bodies are failing but our spirits are strong." Lightair bows his head knowing what is coming. "When will I see you again; will I still be able to talk with you." Lightair's horn orbs diming to a sad blue colour. His dad responding "We will be in your dreams and are powers will guide you." Lightair's mum's holding out her paw as her own horn orbs change to a friendly green. "One day you will be strong and powerful then you may restore us and we will walk with you again." Lightair subs "I don't have the power to bring you back know that" he says looking at his dad his mum responding "yes you do my son" tho what they say are only to try keep him from braking down and there truly is no way to bring them back it works tho Lightair puts paw on his mums. "Mummy." He subs a faint pink glow starts to dance across Lightair's mum as a dark blue of his dad flows from him over his mum and into him. His dad's eyes slowly closing and his glowing body fading until the last of the blue aura flows into the little lightair his mum softly saying. "There's daddy now for me." the dragoness's pink glow start to flow into Lightair the proud green orbs slowly floating from her horns to merge with Lightair's orbs and finally the last of her aura flowing into Lightair her body going limp. Lightair bows his head but hears his dad voice. "Now we must leave, head for our secret cave." Lightair nods turning to run along the street out of the city going three blocks until he meets refinements for the raiders. Lightair darts into a building waiting for the raiders to pass hearing a soft cry as they leave view pecking out the window he see a same pink dragoness barely two years old. she has a golden belly with little lines of gold under her eyes. she is hurt there is a large cut running down her right leg. Lightair walk out lightly on his paws looking left then right and then dashing across the road to the whimpering dragoness. Lightair says gently. "Don't worry ill fix you up." Spotting a bit of ruined clothing nearby. Lightair picks it up ripping it to pieces with his mouth and then wrapping it around the dragoness wound. lightair hears a his mum in his head. "You learned well my darling." lightair smiles hearing his mum encouragement. the little dragoness start to purr under lightairs touch. Suddenly embers stir and rubble move. lightair looks over to see a bright pink dragoness stuck under the rubble she had bloody running from cuts on her head [and] she speaks with a weak voice, thought beautiful. "lightair loka please come here." lightair slowly walk over to her as she holds out her one free paw she speaks again, "Take care of my veronica and take this." lightair puts his paw in hers. she say with the last of her breath "my power is that of true sight. I can see into one's soul I can see what really lays inside no one can deceive me and now the same is of you. give this gift to my little girl when she can use it, but please never let her go." she finishes give lightair her gift gold running out of her paw in to lightair and she closed her eyes[.] lightair slowly walk over to the now sleeping dragoness he pick her up putting her on his back then walk of out of the city into crimson red skies of the koruna gully. walking for minutes, lightair finally come up to a beautiful waterfall. walking inside siting down deep in the cave where same silk pillows have been laid down just as he left it. veronica still asleep on his back purring like a cat. lightair smiles before laying his head down on the silk lined pillows and drifting off to sleep.

Morning breaks little scatters of light reflecting in from the cave enter as more flows from Lightair's bioluminescent body flows out to meet it. Somehow overnight veronica's leg has healed she is awake looking round the cave admiring the cave. with a gentle voice she jumps on Lightair saying. "Daddy wake up." Lightair groans opening his eyes. "I'm up, I'm up." he yawns before his face changes to a confused face. he looks back to the little pink dragoness. "Did you just say daddy?" she s nods with a sad face. "Yes, mummy and daddy said that they had to go to the heavenly lands and won't be back for a long time but until then they says you going to be my daddy. Don't you remember?" Lightair tilts his head only to hear the voices of a dragon not his dad in his head. "Just say yes. my little veronica will be in good hands, I can tell." Lightair opens his mouth in surprise but then nods to veronica. "Yes, yes, I must have forgotten." he says with an uneasy smile. "OK, daddy what we going to do today?" lightair looks at veronica then at to the water fall covering the caves enters then looks down to veronica. " we need to get same stuff before we check the fort I hope Meras alright I'm going to need you to stay close to me and under my wing there may be same things you should not see." Veronica nods ducking under lightair's right wing and rubbing herself against his side. Lightair smiles a bit surprised but hug's her with his right wing. "OK daddy, let's go" she says smiling up at him. Walk out of the cave lightair's body slowly dims its glow unti it stop. Standing in the light of a new sun rise cutting down into the gully, Lightair sighs deeply knowing he now has to face a kochan freshly fallen. Turn to the city he says. "Come veronica we should get this stuff quick so I can find out if your friends are ok" Back in the city after a short walk Lightair make sure to avoid the spot where veronica mum and dad lay. Lightair takes a route that takes them over same fallen buildings the marble of their walls is scattered all over the road. walking over one pile Lightair spots a tail. Quickly moving his wing so that she does not seeing it; finally, they reach the ruins of Lightair house high in the cliffs of kochan. Lightair leads veronica through the ruins looking for all he can find: food, tools weapons and armour. Lucky he stubbles in to his room. He spotting his back pack putting it on then looking around he see his art tools: jewellery things like a chisel, hammer, magnifying lens , handling tools a small granite stone and a clamp. Placing all these in his jewellery belt of his pack. looking around he finds his drawing tools and paper under the rubble of his desk. Placing it in its own part of his pack. under the rubble he also finds his jewels box which hold his necklace made for him by his mum along with the matching horn assessors He gently dusted these off then put them on. Veronica was getting bored so Lightair presses on, this time to the armoury. Lightair finds his armour made by his dad lucky for him his jewellery and armour where made with a enactment that made them grow with him so though the armour was a year old, it still fit well. Now, with all what out the way, they pick up some food and start on their way out following the rout Mera's group would have gone. Hoping not to find her dead along the way. walking down what used to be the main street, now reduced to rubble, Lightair spot something moving in the shadows of a building. He tells veronica to stay where she is. lightair slowly goes movement he is almost on the area he hears a rush of claws then feels something tackle him to the ground.
