It all changed with a bite on a Halloween night, but Marco Iona has just started to unravel one of the greatest mysteries of his entire life. Who can he trust? Is there a way to escape the man that hunts him?

Lykos Chapter 2 (Tooth and Claw) Halloween had come and gone, leaving the campus quiet on the early Saturday morning. The ever present fog had burned off, leaving overcast skies and a very gray day. The view of the empty campus was quite magnificent, especially from the large floor to ceiling windows lining the side of the library, overlooking the creek and the quad. The morning light spilled in through the glass, falling across the towering shelves of books, the comfortable wide backed burgundy chairs and the two sleeping teenagers passed out amid piles of papers.

Fletcher's legs dangled over the side of his chair, the rest of his body curled up in the seat, his back spread out on the cushion. His beanie hat had slid off, revealing his short buzzed hair more. Despite his nose piercing and his semi-punk attire, Fletcher seemed rather innocent as he slept, harkening back to the gamer boy he had grown up as. He seemed at peace and content, resting peacefully - a complete contrast to Marco.

In the next seat over, Marco was passed out, his legs wide, his arms hanging over both sides of the chair. His head was resting on the back of the chair as he slumbered. It had been almost twenty four hours since either of them had gotten any sleep and in that day they had been through a lot. A bite from a werewolf, a fight between wolves and breaking into the hospital.

The boys had poured through the files they stole from the hospital, going over every word on every page. They had cross-referenced with web MD and Google and found absolutely nothing. Artyom's files were completely unremarkable in every way. It was sometime after that discovery that the two had fallen asleep, feeling oddly safe in such a public place. Marco shifted a bit in his sleep, turning his head one way and then the other before his nostrils slowly flared. He inhaled, then he inhaled again. The air had changed.

Two hazel eyes slowly opened and Marco lifted his head slowly, glancing across the library. All hints of his exhaustion faded away as Marco spotted the Russian that had bitten him, the man that had started everything. Marco slipped down from his chair, getting near the floor, moving to peek between the chairs.

Artyom had changed out of his old clothes and wore a full length leather duster jacket, the shirt beneath showing the Univeristy crest on a burgundy background. He looked so... normal, so average. No one could have guessed that he was a werewolf, that he was a monster. Artyom and the librarian exchanged a few words before the nineteen year old began moving further into the library, his eyes scanning back and forth.

Artyom had combed the campus looking for his new recruit after their fight. He knew that his savior's first change would have come and gone. The wolf was at his weakest and far more vulnerable than before. It was time to make his impression, to put the new pup in his place and to keep his promise to Doctor Woods... But something had caught Artyom off guard. Marco's scent had gone cold.

There were traces here and there, faint whiffs, but since their fight in the bathroom it was like he had gone off the grid. Artyom advanced toward the back corner, sniffing the air curiously. He saw legs up ahead hanging off the side of a chair, someone passed out all by themselves. A soft grin crossed the Russian's lips as he moved ever and ever closer toward the chairs.

With a slight flick of his hand, his claws emerged. He reached out slowly toward the legs, ready to grab them if necessary. Yom took another step, then another, coming up to the back of the chair... and seeing an unfamiliar face. Artyom grimaced at that and pulled his claws back in, his yellow eyes scanning around quickly. The table in front of the sleeping kid was empty. No books, no homework. Yom bore his fangs and turned, heading back the way he had come, huffily leaving the library.

It wasn't until he heard the library door shut again that Marco exhaled, standing mere feet away in the shadow of the large bookshelves, clutching the hastily gathered files to his chest. Marco didn't believe how lucky he was. He had smelled Yom's after shave, his leather coat, even the corned beef he'd eaten for breakfast. He found it hard to believe that the predator had missed his own scent. Marco turned to move back for the couch and wake up Fletcher before he paused, feeling the tight jeans cup his ass most uncomfortably. It was only then he realized what had happened.

Fletcher had found Marco naked in their room after a shower, and lacking any clothes, Marco had put on those of his roommate. He was shrouded in Fletcher's scent. Marco had never felt happier to be such a procrastinator with his laundry. He grabbed onto the plaid hoodie he wore and brought it up to his nose, inhaling deeply. He wanted to sear Fletch's scent into his memory for all time.

As Marco closed his eyes, he got an aroma of jerky and batteries, of musk and sweat and plastic. It was Fletcher's scent, the scent of the one person he could trust. Marco let go of the shirt and moved back, kicking Fletch's dangling legs. Fletcher murmured and shifted, swatting at the air before one eye opened, then the other.

"Where am... oh." Fletch muttered as his memories came flooded back. He shot bolt upright and looked around, relaxing when he saw Marco standing there.

"He was here..." Marco said softly. Fletcher's eyes went wide.

"What?! Here?" Fletch asked, looking around quickly.

"I think he didn't find me because I was wearing your clothes, but I don't know how long your scent is going to cover me. We have to figure something out." Marco said.

"We just need to change strategies then. Our defenses are weak, our stealth isn't going to hold out. We need to do something the enemy doesn't expect." Fletcher shrugged. Marco looked hesitant.

"And what is that?" Marco asked.

"We have to go on the offensive." Fletcher replied.

**** The University center was almost as deserted as the library on an early Saturday morning, something that Fletcher was feeling more and more uneasy about... but he wasn't the one that was tracking a local predator. He sat on the front steps of the University Center with his phone in hand, waiting for the text from Marco. He turned his shoe one way and then the other, looking down at the plaid hoodie he wore now. It felt really strange to have swapped clothes with Marco yet again, to feel the fabric warm from the body heat of his roommate, but Marco had insisted. If Fletcher's scent had masked him, it was the only camouflage he'd be able to afford. Now it was Artyom's turn to be hunted.

The silence of the morning was broken by the echoing growl of hard skateboard wheels on cement, clacking every time they rolled over a seam in the very large squares that ran from the dining hall to the library. Fletch continued to poke and prod his phone's touch screen, paying no mind to the early morning skaters... until the sound started to slow down to a stop. Fletch looked up slowly, caught a little off guard.

Standing at the top of the steps were two freshmen, two identical freshman. The twins had shaggy strawberry blond hair that covered their ears and nearly obscured their eyes, leaving little more than a view of nose and mouth and each boy had a generous patch of hair on their chins. One of the twins slowly ran his tongue across his lips. Fletch gave a bit of a tense smile up at them.

"Hey boys... The café's not open yet. Don't Saturdays suck sometimes?" he asked. The twins glanced at each other before looking back.

"I'm sure we'll find something else to occupy our time." One of them replied.

"You smell funny..." The other commented.

"And you look funny. See, it isn't nice to throw insults, is it?" Fletch replied. At that the twins got off their boards and moved down the steps, moving to sit down on either side of Fletcher. Fletcher moved to spring to his feet, but one clawed hand grabbed each of his legs and pushed him back down. Fletch's eyes went wide as he looked at the paws and then at them. One twin reached up, pushing his bangs back, revealing gleaming yellow eyes. Fletch had little doubt their wild skater hair hid the sideburns and pointed ears that Marco had revealed.

"You aren't a wolf, but you've been around two of them..." One of the twins said.

"Yeah, well there are apparently werewolves at this school. I'm around two of them right now... I've spent my entire life playing video games and watching horror movies, wondering if they are real... And here you are." Fletch replied. The other twin laughed, moving his hand from Fletch's knee to his groin, starting to palm at it a bit.

"But you weren't supposed to notice... The keepers are going to be very mad that this has gotten so far out of hand." The first twin said.

"Liam, behave." The other shot back.

"Yeah, Liam." Fletch muttered, though he was starting to blush as his cock hardened. Liam licked his lips again, moving in close, nuzzling at Fletch's ear.

"Tell us everything and I'll give you a night you'll never forget." Liam whispered before his tongue plunged into Fletch's ear. Fletch twitched his head away, falling onto the lap of the other twin.

"That is wet and gross and do you know where my ear has been? Come on!" Fletch shouted.

"I told you not to make a scene Liam, we're going to have to do this the hard way." The other twin grunted. Fletcher's eyes went wide.

"No, no hard way, we can-" But Fletch's words were reduced to a squeak as a clawed thumb was pressed to his throat. Fletch struggled a bit, trying to move the hand before he slowly passed out. The twins got back up to their feet and lifted Fletcher up between them, trying to figure out how to get him back to their destination.

**** Cedar bark dust, Juniper leaves, cheap inkjet dye and water logged paper. Marco had never realized how busy the campus was with scents, not until he'd woken up as a werewolf... It still felt like a dream, some strange shock. Maybe he'd gotten bad candy on Halloween? Maybe he'd lost it between having a full ride of classes and so many extra-curricular activities... but there was no denying it. The change in the bathroom, the change in his dorm room. He had become something else, and now he was following scents, tracing back the path that Artyom had used.

It had been a bit complicated at first. While he could find the specific smell, Artyom had been all over the campus looking for him. It was hard to figure out where the smell was stronger, especially when he was bathed in Fletcher's scent. Marco liked clothes that had room to breathe and move, but Fletch's wardrobe was tight to begin with, let alone for someone with more shoulder width. He'd left behind the over shirt but put on the green long sleeve shirt and the black pants, feeling how tight they were cupping his ass and groin. Marco tried not to let himself get distracted by his wardrobe again though, narrowing in on the scent.

He'd crossed the quad past the English building and the science building, closing in on the ironically named J.C. Hall hall. The double H building was one of the oldest on campus. It lacked any affiliation to the Greek system and typically was the go to destination of junior and senior students. Marco looked up at the building and how it rose four and a half stories from the ground, but it also held another two stories below. The scent appeared to be leading to those lower levels.

Marco sniffed some more, heading down the wheelchair accessible ramp to the door settled below ground level. It was there that he froze for a minute, seeing a reflection he didn't recognize. His clothes were wrong, his hair was messed up and his cheeks were black with stubble. He looked like a completely different kind of guy. It felt strange, exhilarating and terrifying at the same time - but this wasn't the time to focus on any of that.

The door was swung open with great ease as Marco strode in, moving down the hallway. The scent was growing stronger and stronger. There was no wind to blow traces away, no moisture to break the scent down. Marco could tell this was where Artyom called home. He move down the hall, room by room before the smell was so strong he couldn't focus on anything else. Marco turned his head one way and then the other before he faced the door and let his emotions fill him.

The fear, the anger, the confusion, the exhilaration all spilled into his mind. His blood tingled, his muscles throbbed and soon his nose was crunching up and widening, his brow thickening as his jaw clicked and widened slowly. His teeth stretched out into fangs and the black stubble on his cheeks bristled out and thickened as if months of growth had been compressed into seconds.

Marco flexed his hands as his claws emerged and he tilted his head as his ears raised into points. It all felt amazing... but the sound of tearing cloth made it all too apparent that he couldn't rely on Fletcher's clothes much longer. The fabric split down his back, revealing that his black hair was growing down further down his neck and a bit onto his spine as his arm and leg hair turned dark and thickened up, but Marco didn't care. This was his time to act.

The enraged new wolf grabbed the door knob and turned it until the lock broke and the knob fell apart. He kicked the door in and lunged into the room, not sure what he'd find. Artyom spun around where he was standing, bearing his own fangs as his beard pushed out thicker, his ears came to points and his eyes glimmered brightly at the sudden threat.

"I want to make one thing clear!" Marco said, his voice gravely and loud, "You aren't going to hunt me anymore. Not for sex, not for anything. You come after me, or anyone I care about and I will end you." Marco snarled. Artyom roared even louder at that and lunged forward, but came to a dead stop as an arm stuck out and hit his chest. At that, Artyom backed up quickly, almost shrinking away.

Marco had been so focused on his pursuer that he hadn't noticed the other occupant in the room, a mistake that he now regretted. The arm belonged to a twenty two year old man... though bear might also have been an apt description. He was six feet and four inches tall, taller than even Artyom... but his height was the least of his size. Everything about him was big. The man had to weigh several hundred pounds of fat and muscle. His huge belly was barely concealed by the dark blue shirt he had on. His skin was pale and his black hair was long, down past his shoulders. The hair balanced out the incredibly thick, incredibly full beard the man had. It was so thick it almost completely obscured his lips, hanging down almost all of the way to his nipples.

"So you're Marco..." The man said softly, looking the intruder over.

"Who are you?" Marco murmured.

"My name is Seamus, though most people call me Seam." The bearded man said, offering a clawed hand to Marco. Marco didn't reach to shake it. Seamus nodded at that, "I'm sorry for what happened to you, for everything that's been happening. I just recently found out, and believe me, Yom is going to be punished... severely."

"That's it? Punished? He turned me into a werewolf... He tried to rape me in the shower and he's hunted me all over campus!" Marco exclaimed.

"The punishment won't be a simple one. Yom's one of our wilder pups to be sure, but we'll do whatever we can to make amends... But there is no cure to lycanthropy. We can't give you your old life back, but we can try to make things easier for you." Seam explained.

"We... We who? Until just a minute ago I thought he was the only wolf here." Marco replied. Seamus nodded a bit.

"I'll tell you everything, but we need to go somewhere a bit more private. These walls are a bit too thin for my liking." Seamus said, moving toward the door before pausing, "And so is the door knob..." he muttered. Marco hesitated a bit at that before he turned and followed the large man into the hall. Things had taken a decidedly different turn.

**** The walk had been shorter than Marco expected, heading to a stairwell and retreating to the lowest level of the building. The temperature dropped and the lighting was dimmer. Marco saw the pipes pumping water, he could hear the boiler room down the way and he saw the friendly but direct RA posters talking about storage room permission and hours. He never would have known anything was out of the ordinary if he wasn't sandwiched between the two wolves.

Seamus came to a stop and reached into his pockets, fishing out a set of keys. He slid it into the lock and turned before easing the door open. As the door widened, so too did Marco's eyes. What had once been a storage room had been fully converted into some sort of den. There were couches and lamps, big screen televisions. It was a lounge like Keller Hall had, but under lock and key... and the reason why became apparent. The guys playing foosball, the guys watching television, the guys gnawing jerky - all of them were wolves.

"Yom, shut the door behind you." Seamus said. Marco all but staggered in, looking around before he gasped. In the far corner there was a high backed chair and nestled in the middle of it was Fletcher, though he had one twin sitting on each arm of the chair, keeping him in place. Marco rushed over, pushing past one of the foosball players who growled as he passed.

"Rayne?" Marco asked. The twins immediately turned, looking at their guest.

"You told us your name was Fletcher..." Liam complained.

"It's what everyone calls me, it just happens to be my last name..." Fletch muttered.

"What's going on here?" Marco asked, turning around.

"Relax, Marco. This isn't a dungeon. It's a break room, a den. We needed you both here so we didn't have to explain everything twice." Seamus said.

"There's no way of telling how many people know about this." Marco replied.

"Oh... yes there is." Seamus said, "But we'll get to that. There's a lot to tell, which really sucks. I have an outline due for my thesis on Monday. I was hoping to work on that." The bearded man said, shaking his head as he moved for a chair of his own.

"You still do homework? As... a werewolf?" Marco asked. Seamus stopped where he was and let out a short laugh, then a lingering chuckle.

"We may be werewolves, but we're still college students. We have to get the grades, get the education, get ahead in life. Trust me, fast food and fur do not go together." Seamus replied before he finally selected his seat and sat down. Marco moved over, taking an awkward position standing near Fletcher, giving the twins a suspicious look. He couldn't tell what sort of expression they were giving him back through their bangs.

"I don't care about a history lesson or the society of the wolves. I just want to make sure that Fletcher and I are going to be left alone. Can you help me do that or not?" Marco asked. The room grew very quiet, the other wolves stopping what they were doing, turning to watch. Seamus gave a grin at that, leaning back.

"Most of our packs are built by hierarchy. The new wolves are subservient to those that turned them, and in turn those that turned them. By all rights, by all wolf instincts, when Yom bit you your drive would have been to bend over and give him tail, but that isn't what happened."

"He's been chasing be all over campus and he came after me in the shower. It sounds like that's what he wants still." Marco said.

"This is so gay..." Fletcher murmured. Both twins looked at him. Fletch chuckled nervously, "Not that there's anything wrong with that. I mean, I'd have to lie if I said I wasn't curious, but dude... He's sex stalking my roommate." Fletch murmured.

"He is obsessed with an anomaly. You aren't an omega, you aren't even a beta." Seamus said.

"So what am I, an alpha?" Marco asked, having seen enough werewolf shows on television. Seamus shook his head.

"Not yet... and not quite. You are you, for the moment."

"So I'm me and Artyom is a wolf trying to hump my leg... When do we get to the part about a peace treaty or something?" Marco asked.

"Is that what you want? Peaceful co-existance?" Seamus asked.

"Yes... Yes, that is what I want. I know you can't take away me being a werewolf but once I know what that means, I can live an almost normal life. You guys do. Homework, board games, dreams of a future. Hell, there's this many werewolves on one campus and no one has noticed." Marco said, gesturing around.

"We work very hard to keep the status quo, to keep this place as our sanctuary and to make sure it remains safe for those that will come after us. We don't wish you any harm, and we want to help anyway we can. If it was just us, you wouldn't have anything to worry about... But it isn't just us." Seamus said.

"Who else is it? What is worse?" Fletcher asked.

"The Fang clan is worse... Worse than your nightmares." Artyom said from where he stood. Just mentioning the name seemed to make the other wolves uneasy.

"What is the fang clan?" Marco asked. Seamus bit his lip, considering for a moment.

"Marco, when you change, how does it feel? Physically?" Seamus asked. Marco considered for a moment.

"It's like... I can feel my emotions pumping through my veins, moving out through my body. I feel like I'm growing bigger and stronger, and then when I calm down the pressure drops and I'm myself again." Marco said. Seamus smiled.

"I couldn't have described it better myself. That pressure, that heat... it can get very strong in us, especially during the full moon. We get closer to being animals then, but we're still us. We are the claw clan, we are in control of our change. It is not in control of us." Seamus said.

"The fang clan are monsters. They are lost in the rage, the lust, the power. They aren't even in harmony with their own selves. When the wolf inside tries to come out, they don't change... The wolf tears out through their own bodies, leaving the human flesh like snake skin on the ground... And when they are done being wolves, the animal withers away and reveals the human inside. It is unnatural." Artyom said in disgust.

"The fang clan doesn't care about anything other than their self serving interests. Each pack member gives them more power. They would tear apart civilization as we know it if they had the chance. The stories you hear, the ones that make werewolves monsters, the fang clan doesn't care about who knows of our existence." Seamus explained.

"When someone gets the bite they live in harmony with their change, they let the animal take charge... or they die." The twin on Fletcher's right side said.

"Of course Liam and Kieran didn't have to make the choice themselves, they were born as wolves." Seamus said, "But the Fang Clan isn't the only thing you need to worry about. When wolves get noticed, the hunters come. I can't blame them after what the fang clan has done over the years, but the hunters don't differentiate. All werewolves are threats to them. That is why keeping this secret is the most important thing we can do here." Seamus explained.

"Well... We don't have a problem then, do we? I mean you want to keep the secret, I want to keep the secret. As much as I want to just turn my back on all this, I'm going to assume the full moon won't be easy... and I guess I have to figure out things like garlic and silver."

"Garlic is vampires." Fletcher supplied. Marco shot him a look.

"So I guess I will need your help, but I'm not going to join any pack or anything..." Marco said.

"You already have your pack, even if it is a bit small..." Seamus said, glancing over at Fletcher, "We'll tell you what you need to know, but the keepers will lay down the rules."

"The keepers? Like in Harry Potter?" Fletch asked with a grin. Liam and Kieran looked at him.

"Can you shut up and let the alpha talk?" Kieran asked.

"I know a way to get him to shut up." Liam said, leaning in to lick at Fletcher's lips. Fletch tried to avoid the tongue but got it across his nose instead, letting out a ticklish giggle.

"Stop, stop!" he smirked. Liam growled and began lapping at his face even more. Kieran groaned, extending his claws before he swatted the back of Liam's head.

"The keepers are humans that keep our secret. Some have ancient knowledge and abilities. Others have resources to keep us a secret... but we're everywhere Marco. Teachers, police men, doctors. This town and others like it are full of our kind, working to keep our society functioning and hidden."

"But why here? Why at an all boys school? You guys have some serious heat problems."

"Well... Part of the reason is because we can't have a bunch of girls running around getting knocked up by wolves, having litters of pups. Its safer to be surrounded by men. But the presence of wolves in this valley goes back before the settlers arrived. There is history here, an anchor to our past." Seamus said.

Marco stood there in silence, trying to take it all in. He felt exhausted just trying to contemplate it all. Secret societies, other clans, hunters and keepers. He wanted his life to go back to being normal, to being the way it had been, and he wanted those damn twins off of Fletcher's lap. The soft sound of lips smacking reached Marco's ears. He let out a sudden growl, snarling that way. Liam and Kieran leapt off of Fletcher's lap, cowering behind the chair. Fletcher sprung up to his feet and jogged over to Marco, moving to stand behind him, giving a sheepish grin to those around.

"So, uh, what next?" Fletch asked, trying to break the awkward silence.

"It's going to take several days, maybe even weeks for you to adjust to the change... But the hardest day will be the sixth. That's the next full moon." Seamus replied.

"Thursday? Next Thursday..." Fletch said.

"Until then you'll be hungry for a lot of meat, you'll get more easily aroused, you'll notice your senses getting stronger. There are a lot of safe places on campus to explore all this, but if you get out of line the keepers will warn you." Seamus explained.

"So does this make me a keeper? I mean, I'm keeping the secret." Fletch asked.

"Do you have ancient knowledge, magical powers or a bank account with vast sums of money?" Seamus asked.

"No, but I'm really good at keeping a secret... I mean, I haven't told anyone that Rebecca Stalward had an operation on her-" Fletcher stopped, "See, I didn't even tell you what part." He grinned. Seamus blinked a few times before looking back at Marco.

"We'll keep in touch. You're in Keller Hall, right?" Seamus asked.

"Yeah, same building that Artyom found me in the shower of." Marco said.

"Room 325, Lysander. He's a wolf like us. He can give you advice if you need it." Seamus said. Marco nodded at that before he moved toward the door. Fletch gave everyone a bit of a smile and a wave, following after. As they approached the door, Artyom moved over. Seamus shot him a look and Artyom lowered his head.

"I... I'm sorry for giving you such a hard time, and for biting you." Yom said softly. Marco crossed his arms at that.

"Why did you? I mean seriously... You nearly died, then you did this to me. Can werewolves even get that drunk?" Marco asked.

"He wasn't drunk, he was high... A mixture of flavored tobacco and just a hint of wolfsbane. It's a problem I've been trying to address." Seamus said.

"You smoked poison?" Marco asked.

"I hear hookah parties are pretty popular on campus right now, but leading medical science indicates that they are just as dangerous as conventional forms of smoking." Fletcher supplied.

"I'm sorry, okay?" Yom shot back.

"Well it is still no excuse. Keep that puppy prick in your pants. When you find someone that wants to walk the dog, then you can do whatever you want... But until then, I'm still Campus Safety. I can have you expelled from this sanctuary for sexual assault." Marco said, and with that he let himself out of the room. Fletcher followed after, tugging the door shut behind him. Seamus turned and looked at the others.

"All of you will behave around those two, is that understood?" Seamus asked.

"But Seam, the little one tastes so good!" Liam groaned.

"No tasting without permission!" Kieran shouted at his brother.

"I've never seen an independent wolf before. They always join the pack... And the human knows everything now too." Yom said uncomfortably.

"They know what is at stake. They don't want anything bad to happen to themselves or each other. They will keep the secret and we'll be close by in case they need our help, but as far as I'm concerned we are keeping the status quo." Seamus said.

"It might not be easy. Doctor Woods said that the fake files on me went missing. Apparently the little one claimed to be my brother." Yom said. Seamus turned and looked over at that.

"He did? Interesting... But that's an issue for another day. I have an outline to work on." Seamus replied. Before long the sound of the foosball table being used and the television being turned up filled the room, the den seeming like just another place for free time.

**** The dining hall was usually quiet on Saturday nights. Students were splurging for a night on the town, watching movies or partying. It turned the normally jam packed building into something relaxing, almost like a lodge. The angled wood beams rose up high above the muted blue carpet and floor to ceiling windows ran around three sides of the hall. In the very middle there was a fire pit crackling away with the first fire of the season and the back end of the building held all the kitchens and the serving area.

Fletcher sat across from Marco, watching his roommate move on from his pork chops to his meat loaf, clearing his plate of those before he began gnawing on the chicken bones he'd finished earlier. Marco grazed his teeth over the bone, scraping off every succulent bit, the juices from the meat smearing over his lips. He had murmured and moaned through dinner, finding the food so much richer in taste. It was amazing, it was heavenly.

"So, uh... food's good?" Fletcher asked. Marco looked up with the bone sticking out of his mouth. He pulled it out and licked his lips a bit.

"Sorry, was I making a scene?" Marco asked.

"I would say yes, but then again the football team would make a feeding trough look civilized so it isn't that bad." Fletch smirked, "But you're okay?" Fletcher asked. Marco considered before nodding, leaning back. It was the first time anyone had asked him that since he was checked out at the hospital... and so much had changed since then.

"So far... it isn't overwhelming. I mean, I feel like I should be screaming or running around or going nuts, but it just feels like I have this new ability but its always been there. It just feels like part of me is able to come out, a part that never could before. I don't know if that sounds strange." Marco said. Fletch grinned.

"You leveled up." He replied. Marco looked confused.

"What?" Marco muttered.

"Well, it is like in video games. You get enough experiences, you meet the quest criteria, you get new abilities. You level up. It lets you tackle bigger and bigger challenges." Fletch said.

"Like the Fangs, and the hunters." Marco murmured. Fletch cringed a bit at that.

"Well, maybe not so big right away, but... More than before. This is really cool. I've always loved the ideas of werewolves." Fletcher grinned.

"So you aren't going to move out?" Marco asked. Fletch dropped his fork.

"You want me to move out?!" He asked.

"Well, I mean what if I'm dangerous?" Marco asked. Fletcher rolled his eyes.

"Of course you're dangerous, you're a frigging werewolf... But hey, maybe I like to live dangerously. You're the coolest roommate I could get on campus, and you're the only one that puts up with my English dubs of Miyazaki." Fletcher said.

"It lets you focus on the art..." Marco said. Fletcher clapped his hands down on the table.

"Exactly! Why does no one else see that?" Fletch said before he reached up to adjust his glasses, "But trust me. I want to be by your side. It's like the alpha said, I'm in your pack man..." Fletch said. Marco grinned gently at that, looking reassured.

"Thanks man, it means a lot." Marco said softly. Fletch nodded at that.

"Why don't you go grab some more meat because somehow you still look starving. I'll head back and try to set things up for a relaxing evening." Fletcher said.

"Movie night?" Marco asked. Fletch stood up and lifted his tray.

"Something like that." Fletch replied before heading to the tray return.

"It's about time that we got around to 'The Wind Rises'!" Marco called after him. Fletch disappeared around the corner and Marco looked down at his plate. He'd eaten all his meat as well as the dairy products, but the mashed potatoes sat there untouched. Marco could tell his tastes were changing, but he didn't know how much. Still, the idea of more meat sounded fantastic.

****

Marco moved down the hallway, feeling a little slowed down by his full stomach. He'd never eaten so much meat, let alone so many kinds of meat in one sitting before. He felt good, content, like he'd done a good day's work. Marco reached out and turned his door knob, easing it open before he stepped into the dorm room. He glanced up to see if their beds had been pushed around to the theater configuration before he paused.

Fletcher stood in the middle of the room, wearing just a pair of tight green underwear, his beanie cap and his glasses. The foil square packaging of a condom was hanging from his mouth and he looked up at Marco hopefully. Marco closed the door behind him and backed up, looking at his roommate as if he was crazy. Fletcher dropped the condom from his mouth into his hands, looking worried.

"I'm sorry, I..." Fletch trailed off. Marco looked into Fletcher's eyes.

"What is this? What is going on?" Marco whispered. Fletch looked a bit sheepish at that for a moment before he shrugged.

"I'm sorry, I guess I got too excited. It's just... Well, the thing is I've always kind of been into this niche of artwork online... Tigers, sharks, wolves... except visualized as men." Fletcher muddled along.

"You're a furry?" Marco asked. Fletcher shrugged a bit.

"Part of that was that I always loved the idea of werewolves. I never thought I'd be telling you that, but then you get bit by a werewolf and turned into one and you're living right here with me in my dorm room." Fletch replied.

"Everyone's been trying to jump my bones since I changed. No one's even asked me if I'm gay." Marco replied.

"You're at an all boy's school... in the middle of nowhere." Fletch replied.

"That doesn't matter, the tuition is good." Marco said.

"Are you gay?" Fletch asked.

"Well, I-" Marco hesitated, " It's like I have a blood born disease. One wrong move and you get infected. It isn't safe." Marco said.

"That's what the condom is for." Fletch replied. Marco groaned.

"You're such a fucking smart ass! What if I bite you?" Marco asked.

"Then I might become a werewolf." Fletch said softly.

"Or you turn into a monster or you die. Those were options too, you remember? The monster that tears its way out of you every time? Rayne, I don't want anything bad to happen to you. I made sure those guys were going to leave you alone, I have to protect you from me too." Marco said. Fletch's eyes narrowed, his playful attitude dropping.

"You're not going to go lone warrior on this. I'm not going to be some princess you put in a castle. I know your secret, I know these wolves now, I can help you and I can be with you in whatever way you need. I may have jumped the gun a bit with the whole strip tease, but... I'm here for you." Fletch said. Marco looked at Fletch for a long moment, saying nothing for quite some time before he slowly gave half a smile.

"So you... like werewolves?" Marco asked.

"Do you have any idea how hard it was not to give into those twins? My god, the possibilities." Fletch moaned, "But as sexy as they are, I want a good guy."

"And you think I'm that guy?" Marco asked.

"Aren't Hawaiians known for their good hospitality? You could lay me anytime you want." Fletch joked.

"That's a terrible pun." Marco groaned. Fletch smirked at that. Marco looked him over again slowly before he took a long breath, "If I indulge you, will you promise not to push it any further until I'm ready?" Marco asked. Fletch looked surprised at that.

"Ye-yeah, I promise." He replied. Marco nodded a bit at that.

"Okay... Let's start with kissing then. Uh, put on a shirt though so it isn't weird." Marco said. Fletch tilted his head.

"Put on a shirt but not pants?" Fletch asked.

"Okay, this is getting too weird." Marco muttered. Fletch held up his hands quickly.

"No, no, shirt is fine." He said, running over to his closet, sliding it open. He pulled out a shirt with a transformers maximal emblem on it and pulled it over his head before turning to Marco, "How do I look?" he asked.

"Like a hot boyfriend..." Marco whispered, moving to lean against the edge of his bed. Fletch grinned wider at that and moved over, putting his right leg to Marco's side, then his left on the other. Ever so slowly he pressed their groins together. Marco leaned forward, tilting his head, bringing his lips nervously toward Fletcher's. The truth was Marco had never kissed another boy before unless he counted the experience with Artyom.

Fletch felt his heart racing before his lips pressed Marco's. He suppressed a smile a bit as he felt how nervous Marco was, but he opened his mouth and used his lips to massage and manipulate Marco's. A hand slid up, caressing Marco's cheek. Fletch traced his fingers into the stubble, loving how rough it felt. He began to stroke the stubble, kissing Marco harder and harder.

Marco's heart picked up its pace, but it wasn't pumping the blood to every inch of his body. It was focusing on one part in particular. Marco's groin began throbbing and swelling, tenting the pants more and more by the moment. Marco's kisses became more forceful and confident and his tongue explored the edge of Fletcher's mouth before it plunged inside.

While he had been nervous to start with, it felt almost liberating to have someone want to be with him, to be with him in that way... and the wolf felt liberated too. The stubble began pushing out beneath Fletch's fingers, growing bristly and thick like mutton chops. Fletch felt the teeth sharpening around his tongue, Marco's mouth elongating slightly into a proto-muzzle.

Fletch stroked Marco's ears as they grew into points and he felt his roommate's body grow hotter and hotter, pumping out the heat as his body hair thickened. Marco was growing more and more intense about it all, panting and grunting. He wanted Fletch, he needed Fletch. He just had to be careful. Marco reached out with his hands, grabbing a hold of Fletch's shirt before he lifted. Fletch let out a yelp of shock as he was hoisted off his feet and thrown onto the bed, the mattress lurching.

Marco lunged up onto the bed, moving to straddle his captive roommate in place before he brought his hips down. The pressure of his captive, hard cock grinding through the layers of fabric felt amazing. Marco gave Fletch another hump, then another, starting to grind tightly as they made out. His hands throbbed before the claws extended, turning brown and sharp.

Fletch murmured in surprise at how fast things were escalating. He knew he'd brought it on himself, but he didn't dare stop now. He reached down slowly to slide his hand under Marco's shirt, running his fingers over thick abdominal fur, loving the feel of it. Fletch's own erection was growing quite insistent, his green underwear strained around it like an unripe banana.

Marco felt the heat, the burn, the passion. He felt it all, but he didn't want it to be in charge of him. He tried to redirect the feeling, the flow of his instincts. He focused on other parts of his pleasure. As Marco dry humped Fletcher deep into the mattress, he grunted sharply as his rib cage popped and expanded slowly. His arms burned as his biceps and triceps grew. His fangs became sharper and fur grew up over his pointed ears, blending them entirely into the fuzz of his mutton chops and hair.

Fletch could feel Marco bending around, hiking his ass up into the air, but Fletch was too horny to stop himself. He loved the feeling of being pinned by his bestial roommate. He humped upwards in desperation, never wanting the moment to end. Marco continued to kiss and slurp and hump, but he could feel that something was different. There was a pain in his backside, his pants getting too tight. Inch by inch they started riding down, making room for the lump above the cleft cheeks of his ass. The ass was slowly parting, the cheeks sliding apart, but the lump was turning into a mound - and the mound was expanding.

The skin stretched and shifted before it took on an almost tubular shape. His tailbone had grown outward, gaining new segments and separating from his spine. As the flesh was stretched around its new host, it grew darker with a fuzz of hair, then slowly graduated into fur. The nub grew out to six inches, then ten, then a foot long. For every inch it grew long, though, it was growing wider as well. The black fur was spilling out at a rapid pace, gaining significant volume.

Marco grunted as he felt something weighing down against his legs. He broke the kiss and looked over his shoulders, gasping as he saw a three foot wide, four foot long black tail extending behind him. It was huge and heavy and wagged when he moved his hips. Marco tipped his head back and let out a deep resounding howl as he felt his cock spasm and unleash thick yellow wolf spunk into his pants.

Feeling the wolf howl and cum above him, Fletch panted desperately before he arched his back and flailed like a fish. Soon a wet spot formed in his green underwear before he went limp on the bed. The gamer's eyes rolled into the back of his head at that, basking in the afterglow. Marco smelled the change and his orgasm amped up a little before fading again.

Marco straddled Fletcher, feeling the strength of his wolf body and for the first time his tail. He slowly relaxed his muscles and laid down on top of Fletcher, keeping him pinned against the bed. Marco closed his eyes and brought his head down to rest in the crook of his roommate's neck. After a moment the werewolf parted his lips and he began to gently lick at Fletcher's neck, slurping softly. Fletch let out a soft coo, cumming every last drop he had. Whatever happened from that point on, Fletcher knew his life was very good.
