A Successful Breach

Dante, Erebosian Wolf

Ashes filled the sky, as 19 sprinted down the airplane runway. Sirens blared their high pitched cries of displeasure, smoke filled the sky, and flames rose high above into the sky from the government facility, that just moments before had been intact. 19 was running for his life, with governmental weapons in his backpack, his black hood bobbed on his back with each powerful stride as he desperately tried to reach his jeep, which was parked just about a mile away from the facility. Area 51's security had been hard to breach, but he'd managed it. Now it was only a matter of getting the hell out of their before he got captured.

Shouts of other furs could be heard, the opening and slamming of military vehicles reverberated in the air, as engines revved and the military drove off in pursuit of the thief. Meanwhile 19 was fumbling desperately with one of the contraptions he'd nicked from the military base. A large, oddly shaped gun that attached to his forearm. He desperately fiddled around with the controls, trying to activate it as the vehicles gained distance on him. Just as he turned on the machine, the military furs open fired. Guns spewed metal out of their holsters at 19, as several caught 19 in the back, black blood gushed out of the wounds while he cried out in pain.

He stumbled, then tripped and fell hard on the pavement, the vehicles screeched to a halt around him. Doors slammed as marines leapt out and advanced on 19. 19 lay on the ground, panting heavily, the contraption on his arm emitting a low hum as several oddly shaped blue lights darted across it. One of the marines, a large tiger anthropomorph, stepped forward and viciously kicked him in the side. With a growl, 19 turned and glared at him with his yellow, glowing eyes. 19 rolled over and pointed the machine attached to his forearm strait at the feline. A look of fear crossed the muzzle of the marine, as a pure black orb of crackling electricity shot out of the nozzle. It struck the tiger in the chest and flung him back as he yowled in pain, his fur singed, and multiple burnt bald marks which revealed his skin, he yelled in fear as he stumbled back to his jeep.

While the other marines were distracted by their panicking companion, 19 to this as an opportunity, he hauled himself to his feet, his various injuries on his back still throbbing with blood. And pointed the machine again at another soldier, this time a ferret anthropomorph, and firing. With a yelp of pain, the marine met with the same fate as the tiger in a matter of seconds. 19 lurched forward, pushing past the smoking ferret and leaping strait into one of the military jeep's open windows. He crawled from shotgun to the drivers seat, he set the vehicle into reverse and slammed his foot-paw on the gas pedal. As he ran over several of the marines along the way, he set the car back into normal and speed off towards where he had been previously running to, putting his arm out the window and firing several more shots at the marines, who were now scrambling to get into their jeeps.

19 winced as another throb of pain hit him, his ebony blood flowing over and staining the seat black. He growled angrily to himself, this wasn't the way that the plan was suppose to go! He shouldn't have been so careless with his escape. As he pressed firmly on the gas pedal, the tinkling of bullets striking metal could be heard as the marines drew closer on him, firing at his vehicle. He look up, and ahead he could just see the perimeter of the encampment. "But what about after that?" thought 19 to himself,"They sure as hell won't stop pursuing me after that!" An idea suddenly strike him, a risky, dangerous idea that if it worked, he'd be saved. Turning quickly, he rummaged inside his bag with he had thrown in the passenger's seat. Using one arm to control the steering wheel, he desperately searched for some other weapon the he could use against his pursuers.

Just as he crossed the border of Area 51, one of the marine's jeeps swerved and stopped right in front of him, forcing 19 to slam on the breaks. He cursed, then quickly grabbed something spherical out of the bag and opened the door to the jeep, running out of it. Turning, he hurled the orb that he had clutched in his paws and threw himself behind a nearby rock. Shouts of the anthropomorphs could be heard, until a few moments later when a gigantic explosion broke through the air. Peeking from behind the rock, 19 saw that the grenade had blasted open a gigantic black fire, which quickly spread to all the marines, devouring even their jeeps in their malignant power. As the anthropomorphs screamed and ran around in a panic, 19 stayed motionless, not wanting them to reveal his location, and possibly harm him further.

A few minutes later, all that was left were a few piles of ashes. Sighing with relief, 19 stood up, wincing again at the pains his back gave him, and turned round to walk the 50 meters to his escape vehicle. As he did so, he shouldered his backpack, and put a pair of aviator sunglasses from his pocket. Taking something out of his great jacket pocket, he revealed to clutch a large red button. With his thumb, he pressed it. As he settled himself in the jeep, a large mushroom cloud suddenly erupted in the distance accompanied mere moments later with a deafening explosion sound, right where 19 had just come from. With a sly grin on his face, 19 drove away into the sunset, leaving the remnants of what just an hour before had been a perfectly functioning secret government facility. His mission was successful, he'd stolen what he wanted, and left the rest to burn to ruin. And he could already feel his back slowly healing, a rejuvenating drug he'd taken before the mission as a precaution. Today had been a good day, and he knew it.
