A story that just came to mind when talking to my bf. owo

A rich kid at a rich party who gets taken in by some pirates, at first he doesn't want anything to do with them... well at least until something changes within him.

I hope you all enjoy, I would love to hear what you all think! ^_^

Shooting his practiced smile at important dignitaries, Douglas couldn't help but want to throw up right there. He attempted to hold up talks about the selling price of tea and silk, but each conversation ended with him excusing himself to go to the bathroom. Douglas knew that he was just a young boy playing at being some sort of important dignitary, he slumped over to a table with drinks and hor dourves.

Still attempting to looking fancy, Douglas took some of the richest looking food and took a glass of wine, even though he knew that he hated the stuff. Taking a sip of the rich drink, Douglas had to conceal his distaste for the drink as he walked over to another dignitary. The party was taking place on a villa next to the sea, a stupendous view for the rich, a view of envy for those note.

Douglas had found an invitation shoved in his face by a young man, Douglas himself wasn't that impressive in stature on his own, but being the son of a famous commandant gave him a certain elevated status. Douglas struggled to keep up any sort of salary though, he was working his way up the military chain, but he was far too low to be of any notice on his own. Laughing at a joke of a duke, Douglas took a bite of a slimy fish on his plate and nearly gagged, the food was very sweet and not to the young man's taste whatsoever.

Working his way around the floor, Douglas attempted to converse with everyone of important stature in a hope to become a part of the higher ups' inner circle in some way, but oftentimes he was ignored by the men and the women of the party.

Pushing his way towards a famous duke, Douglas put on his best smile. "Duke Grant, it's great to see you again. It's been a while since we saw one another at Bastile's party."

The duke's gray eyes settled on the young man, vaguely glancing over the face. "Ah, Duckless." A blush passed over Douglas' face, "Yes, I remember you. You were that incompetent fool who spilled wine on my best coat." The duke's hand whipped out and slapped Douglas across the face, knocking the young man back careening right into a table covered in wine glasses.

Douglas smashed into the table, knocking glasses into the air and smashing against the floor. The other party goers glared at Douglas as if he intended in smashing the glasses, the man moaned as he climbed to his feet. The duke sniffed, a shrewd smile on his face. "Do not approach me again Duckless, unless you want to be run through by my personal guard." He sniffed once more before walking away, a harem of women following in his wake.

After staggering to his feet, Douglas wandered over to a window, wiping off glass shards and a blossoming red stain from a spill of wine from his jacket. Looking out the window, Douglas clenched his fist in anger. He couldn't stand the rich class, he tried his hardest to fit in at least a little, but his every attempt had gotten him rebuked.

Looking out the window, Douglas sighed, he just wanted to get out of this stupid party and go somewhere... As he thought that, he realized that a gray shape was plummeting towards his window as a gray foot slammed against his face, knocking him unconscious.

The world spun around him, the ground rocking underneath him, Douglas was green in the face as soon as he awoke. "Ohhh..." He groaned, and to make matters worse it felt as if someone had smacked him in the face with a brick. Slowly sitting up, the first thing he realized was that he had been liberated from that godawful jacket, next up was the fact that he was now wearing the ensemble of what he could only assume could come from... "Pirates." Douglas hissed, even with his head ringing, he could think well enough to know that the rocking of the ground beneath his feet was no after effect of the knock to the head.

Stumbling towards a door, Douglas felt his heart fluttering, he was praying that he was wrong... Before he touched the door, it flew open to reveal a handsome man in similar wear to himself, "Ah, the new boy is awake. Come now."

His hand whipped out and grabbed Douglas' arm in a vice grip, the younger man had no choice but to follow behind. As he was dragged through the ship, he started to realize an extremely odd thing about the ship, all of the inhabitants were remarkably handsome, more so than any pirate usually would be. But it was plain from their personalities that they were indeed pirates, they all had a cruel glint of steel in their eyes as they all wore dangerous weapons on their person, Douglas knew he was in a heap of trouble.

"Welcome to the crew." One of the men flashed a smile at him, his face reminding Douglas of someone who might of attended the party he had been at before passing out.

Being dragged around the ship like some sort of pet that you might show off to a friend was annoying Douglas, he just wanted the man to let go of him, but it was obvious that the man had no intention of doing so just yet. The pirate ship was well taken care of, Douglas couldn't deny that. The floorboards glowed with an illustrious polish to them, gleaming a vibrant brown. The walls were covered in what Douglas assumed were trophies from previous victories, "Here we are." The man said, drawing up to an extravagant door.

Something about the door sent shivers down Douglas' back, an ominous presence seeming to emanate from the other side of the door. "Who is in there...?" He asked, his eyes nearly as wide as saucers.

"The captain." The pirate said simply as he knocked upon the door, for a moment there was no answer, and then the door creaked open to reveal yet another handsome face, but this one by far seemed to shine with an unearthly beauty.

The captain had an almost marble like quality to his skin, and a smile that could melt anyone in their place. "Ah, the new boy." He said, his voice lilting with a slight irish accent skittering at the tip of his tongue. He opened the door wide to reveal a lavish room behind him, "Please come in Douglas."

As Douglas was pushed from behind into the room, he felt a shiver travel down his skin, how did the captain know his name? But he didn't ask as he was too frightened of the captain's weapons that were hung dangerously around the room, after giving the pirate his leave, the captain walked over to a large desk and settled into a red chair. For a moment the captain just sat and looked at Douglas, his eyes gleaming like green emeralds, they seemed to pierce Douglas to his core.

After what felt like an eternity, the captain spoke. "I apologize my dear young man that I had to drag you in like this, but you see we were desperate for some new blood. And you turned out to be the best choice from that meeting of the rich." The captain's smile seemed sincere, though Douglas felt a menace even so.

"Did you come to that party just to get me?" He whispered, black dots prickling at the edges of his vision as he felt himself near passing out in confusion.

"Indeed." The captain said as he pulled a small glass of wine and poured it into a glass before taking a sip, the drink was so red that Douglas was sure for a moment that it was blood. "Before we recruit anyone, we must scout out their lives." The captains' teeth for a moment were blood red before his tongue traveled over them to wipe off the red liquor.

"So that's how you knew my name." Douglas said dumbly, his mind felt numb, and for some reason his skin ached...

The captain nodded, "Indeed, now I know that you're very confused right now. So to get you into the spirit of being a pirate, we are already on course for a navy ship to show you the splendor of a good pillaging." The captain said, his smile never leaving his face as he took another drink of the repugnant looking alcohol.

Douglas wanted to argue with the captain, but the pirate from earlier walked into the room with a smile on his face. "Captain, we're here."

Nodding, the captain looked at Douglas once more. "Well then, let us be on our way. Oh, but before I forget." He turned around, "My name is Captain Abri Harsk, and by tonight you will be proudly standing by me as a new pirate." Douglas highly doubted this, but something in the man's voice ignited an oddly excited feeling, and as the captain looked in the young man's eyes, he saw a green glimmer stir under the blue.

The pirate crew was standing on the ship's upper deck, as Douglas and Captain Harsk stepped onto the deck, the pirates nodded to the captain in respect. Douglas couldn't help but be disturbed, the looks of the pirates were a stark difference with their clothing, he couldn't help but wonder what had made all of these obviously well pampered men into hard pirates. "Prepare to board the ship." Harsk said as he walked up to the ship's wheel motioning the pirate piloting the ship to step away, he took the wheel in hand and firmly grasped it.

All of the pirates took their weapons of choice in hand, some wielding flintlock pistol, some with knives, and a majority holding swords. As the captain brought the ship near the navy ship, Douglas could see the ominous glint of the black cannons pointing at their ship. "Oh my god... we're going to die..." He whispered, the blood leaking from his face. Even so, something was igniting in his heart, a savage voice that was whispering to him to join the others.

The ship got closer and closer to the navy's ship, the pirates tensing up as their muscles tensed up into tight knots. Douglas saw the navy captain raising his sword to signal firing when the first pirate sprinted to the edge of the ship and jumped, Douglas screamed in shock. There was no possible way the pirate could make it, they were much too far from the other ship for him to make it. The pirate suddenly changed in midair, Douglas blanched as the human pirate shifted into a savage looking sharklike human with flintlock pistol still in hand.

The navy men also blanched, not knowing what to do they missed their captain's order to fire as the shark man landed on deck. "Hello there maties, this is where you all get off." The shark pirate said as he grabbed two of the ship men and threw them overboard.

It was the pirates' signal to follow behind their comrade, one after another they jumped from ship to ship changing in midair. Douglas fell back onto his butt, his mouth wide and his brain trying to catch up to what he had seen. Each of the men had become beefy sharks, their mouths full of ominous sharp teeth and their muscles bulging beneath their oddly still intact clothing. "It looks as if you've seen a ghost Douglas." Douglas looked behind him to see the captain disrobing himself of his fancy captain garments in favor of ones much like his own, "Come on, let me show you first hand what a pirate battle is like." The captain said as he picked up Douglas easily with one arm and sprinted towards the edge of the ship, his feet heavily colliding against the wooden floor of his ship.

Then they were airborne, Douglas screamed in shock as the powerful waves of the ocean flew underneath them. The arm wrapped around him changed, from Harsk's muscular arm into the rubbery muscle of a shark, the skin shifted from the pale white skin into a gray rubbery skin. Then they touched down on the other ship, the captain immediately releasing him and pulling out a large smile from his belt.

Douglas looked at the pirates in shock, their faces looked just like shark's, the human aspects completely lost under the animal ones. They attacked with the furiosity with sharks, but with the wits of humans, each of the navy men that fought against the pirates fell under a barrage of powerful attacks. The captain was by far the most powerful, a single swipe of his sword severing the blade of a navy men in half.

As the human watched, he felt the thumping of his heart against his chest, at first he reasonably thought that it was fear, but that changed as he realized that he wanted to join in the fight. His heart wasn't beating out of fear, it was out of anticipation, Douglas' muscles started to tense up underneath his clothes.

The pirates could smell the change from their new comrade, he was watching their fights with an anticipatory gaze, and they wouldn't let him down. Each of the sharks started to showboat, using powerful lunges and fierce swipes to defeat their opponents with extravagant flare, the captain picked up one of the men and threw him from the ship's deck into the ocean.

His breath shortening, Douglas felt his vision starting to sharpen and the smell of salt in the air growing stronger. He hesitantly stepped forward, the battle was so enticing, he felt like he wanted to join in. His skin started to shift, from the normal human skin into the gray shark skin, his muscles grew causing his clothes to expand as he grew taller. His hand tensed as if he were holding a sword, "S... sword..." He hissed, his now emerald eyes looking for a cutlass to fight with.

Each of the pirates grinned at one another, they were all familiar with their first pillaging. Their younger brother needed to prove himself, and he was quickly bulking up to be one of their biggest members. Douglas quickly surpassed six feet, growing to an impressive seven feet as he found a sword. His body sculpted itself into a shark man, his face shoved out into a shark's with a solid pop, his eyes glowed an iridescent green, a fin pierced the back of his shirt with a satisfying rip.

A navy man saw Douglas changing and rushed towards him in the hopes that he might be able to kill the man before he finished changing, he was wrong. Douglas growled as his changes finished, he caught the smell of the man rushing towards him and turned on his heel and brought his sword right in front of him as the man hurtled towards him. There was an gasping sound as the man ran right into the sword, before Douglas may of screamed in horror, but the smell of blood in the air excited him. Grinning, Douglas grabbed the man from the end of his sword and tossed him overboard with a laugh.

Captain Harsk grinned, their newest member had joined them well enough. It wasn't hard, to change a human into one of them, only three things needed to happen, first they needed to be marked with the star of the sharks. He had left the mark upon Douglas after he had been knocked unconscious. The second step had been to have an alpha make contact with the new recruit, his touch had been enough to activate the union between him and Douglas. The third was very easy, all he had to do was let the new shark smell blood, and the battle had been more than bloody enough.

Douglas joined in the fight, nearly as able as every other shark, though it was obvious from the way that he swung his sword that he was a novice compared to his fellow pirates. But that could be easily fixed with training, and as the sharks never aged... well, they had more than enough time.

Sitting on the deck of the navy ship, Douglas chuckled as his bretheren pulled pieces of gold and loot from the innards of the ship. He remembered his old life, that hadn't been stolen from him, he even remembered how weak he had been, but now it didn't matter. The mark of the shark had been imprinted upon him, and he had taken wholeheartedly to the idea of being a pirate.

Captain Harsk sat next to him, their combined weight causing the table that they sat upon to groan ominously. "How do you feel Douglas?" He asked, his voice as clear in shark form as it was as a human.

Looking at his captain with a new respect, Douglas responded. "I feel spectacular captain, though, I do believe I need to change one thing. I hate the name Douglas, it doesn't fit a pirate in the least. So call me Dast."

The captain nodded, all of the other sharks had taken on new names as well, their weak human names didn't compare to the magnificence of being a shark. "Well then Dast, I think your first pillaging has gone wonderfully." He patted his brother on the shoulder, the new pirate shivering in content as his alpha patted him on his shoulder, he could tell that he would never leave the pirates, he was a part of the shark's crew for life.
