#29 of In My Wildest Dreams

Adam and Gordon get a surprise at the 10K race, but maybe they have a surprise in store for that cute freshman Husky Logan...

A couple of days after we introduced Angelo to Cody, Joey approached Gordon and I after practice. "Hey you pups wanna come visit Cody with me? He's able to have visitors now." Joey asked.

"What do you mean he's allowed to have visitors now? Was he being punished? Gordon asked. "We were able to visit him the other day."

"Didn't I tell you he's in the hospital." Joey replied.

"No you didn't. What happened to him?" I asked.

"He went back in to get his ass fixed." Joey responded.

"Sure. We've got some time to kill." I intoned as we hopped into Joey's car and headed to the hospital.

We asked where Cody's room was and then went up to room 235. We walked up and knocked on the door. "Come in Cody called out weakly.

We walked in and much to our surprise Angelo was sitting by the bed. He was dressed in a tailored suit like he had been every time I saw him. Ange stood up and said, "Nice to see you pups again." As he shook our paws. "Thanks for coming to see Cody." Then he turned to Cody and said, I'm gonna go grab something to eat while you hang out with your friends. I'll be back in an hour or two." And with that he walked out the door.

"What was he doing here Cody?" Joey asked.

"He's why I'm here, he's been a godsend. Ange paid for the reconstructive surgery so I won't have to have a colostomy bag anymore."

"He paid for it?" I asked incredulously.

"Yeah! He even paid extra for the private room. And he said I could come live with him!" Cody was getting more animated as he went on. "He lives in your school district, and he's gonna get me enrolled back in school!" He kept rambling on and on about how great Ange had been to him. I really hoped things worked out for him. I mean he didn't know Ange from the dog on the moon, I hoped he wasn't making a mistake. But then nothing could be much worse than his life had been so far. "Ange and I both think that it's better that I start at a new school where nobody knows me. What's your school like?"

"United Furs is pretty cool. And your wrong about not knowing anyone there. You know Gordon and I. We'll introduce you to everyone." I promised.

"That means you'll be part of the 'in crowd' there." Joey cut in. "Adam is the Big Dog on Campus there."

"That's a bit of an exaggeration Joey." I argued.

"I'd say it's a bit of an understatement." Gordon chimed in with a chuckle.

"Regardless, I'll do what I can to introduce you to all the pups." I concluded.

We continued to talk about the upcoming school year. Even though Cody dropped out half way through his Sophomore year he claimed that Ange was gonna pull some strings so he could start as a Junior this fall. It seemed as though not only did Ange have friends in low places, he also had them in high places. Or maybe they were one in the same...

"Have you been to Angelo's house yet?" I asked.

"No. As soon as he found out I needed surgery he got me in the next morning and I've been here ever since. He said he doesn't own the house. His boss owns it. His boss has several houses around the country and he doesn't stay in this one very often. Ange takes care of the house in return for being able to live there. It sounds like a pretty sweet deal."

"I'll say it does!" I added enthusiastically, but in my mind I thought it sounded kinda shady.

At that point there was a knock at the door and Angelo came back in. "Well did Cody give you all the news?" Ange asked.

"Yeah. It's cool that he's gonna be coming to United Furs this year. I told him I'd introduce him to everybody." I replied. We talked for about 10 minutes then I said. "Well I need to get some sleep before work tonight."

We all said our goodbyes to Cody and as we left Ange followed us out. "I just wanted to thank you pups for coming to visit Cody. I think he's gonna be able to come home tomorrow. I did find out that he turns 16 on Sunday and I was going to throw him a small surprise birthday party at the house. He doesn't have a lot of friends at his old school since his dad outed him. I was wondering if you could show up for the party. I think it would mean a lot to him. You don't need to bring a present or anything, I know money's tight for pups your age..."

"Of course we'll be there Ange. Where's your house and what time is the party." I asked. It was beginning to seem like Ange really did care about Cody, but I still wanted to see where he was staying.

"The address and phone number is on the card." He said as he handed me a business card. "Can you show up at about 4 pm so we can arrange to surprise him?"

"No problem." Joey said as we all shook paws with Ange.

Joey dropped Gordon and I off at Gordon's house. Being typical 16 year old horndog pups we headed up to Gordon's room and quickly shucked our clothes. We laid down next to each other on Gordon's bed and soon we were grinding up against each other. It didn't take long until we were both out of our sheaths and rubbing our boners together. It was a nice change of pace to just grind against each other, especially when we both got our knot and ground them together before both cumming explosively.

When we finally stopped cumming we were a gooey mess. But it was fun licking our combined spooge off of each other. When we were done I spooned Gordon and we rested in the afterglow.

"It's a shame that Cody's all fucked up now. He's so cute. It would've been fun to fool around with him." Gordon said out of the blue.

"Yeah it would. But even after he heals up physically it's gonna be rough. Can you imagine the emotional scars the poor pup is gonna have." I replied.

"I can't even begin to imagine what he's going through. I'll tell you who else is cute as a button..." Gordon said, his voice tailing off.

"Who?" I asked with curiosity.

"That little freshman Husky Logan. If I wasn't with you I'd seriously be trying to play bury the bone with him." Gordon said sheepishly, but when I reached down I could tell he was starting to stiffen.

"Yeah he's a sexy little thing. It could be a lot of fun breaking him in." I said with a chuckle.

"I'm sure it wouldn't be hard for you to seduce him. The poor pup worships the ground you walk on." Gordon continued.

"Which is exactly why I shouldn't take advantage of him." I argued.

"I don't know if fulfilling someone's fantasies is taking advantage of them." Gordon countered.

"I don't think he even knows what sex is yet..." I said rolling my eyes.

"I know if you ever showed him what it was he would go more than willingly." Gordon continued then added, "It's obvious he's a tailraiser, he just doesn't realize it yet. He bones up every time he's around you."

"You noticed that too?" I asked shaking my head with a chuckle. "Do you think the other pups notice it?"

"Nah. If they aren't tailraisers they don't focus in on that kind of stuff. Plus they don't want to get caught looking at another pup's junk." Gordon intoned. "And if they are tailraisers they may notice it but they aren't gonna risk exposing themselves by bringing it up.

"I never thought about it that way." I replied.

"Why don't we invite him over to my house after practice one of these days?" Gordon asked. He was rock hard so I started sliding his sheath up and down over his boner. But then who was I to talk, my erection was back with a vengeance, nestled between Gordon's buns. I started sliding it up and down his crack.

"OK maybe Monday. We've got a race tomorrow and Cody's party on Sunday after practice, but I think that Monday would be the perfect time." I answered as I continued sliding my cock between his buns. On one of my thrusts Gordon tilted his pelvis so the tip of my cock slipped into his pucker.

"No sense wasting a perfectly good boner." He quipped as I slid the rest of the way into my best friend.

But best friend or not I couldn't help but fantasize that I was plucking the cherry of that hot little Husky. But this time I didn't feel so bad about it because I was sure Gordon was also in the middle of some such fantasy. I imagined Logan squirming with a little discomfort as my big dick slid in and out of his tight little virgin asshole the first couple of times.

Gordon must have read my mind because he said in a bad imitation of Logan, "It hurts Sir, err... I mean Adam." Gordon did everything he could to keep from laughing.

I couldn't help chuckling myself, then I replied. "Just relax pup, as soon as you get used to it it will feel great. I thought you wanted to run with the big dogs." I replied. Getting into the spirit of the role play, I slowed down my thrusting.

"I doo... It's not hurting as much now." Gordon said in his puppy voice. "It's so big though..."

"It's not that big." I replied as I slowly long dicked him. It wasn't long before I shortened my stroke and my dick was plowing into his prostate with a staccato rhythm. In my mind I was jabbing deep into that sexy little Husky's tight virgin asshole, well on the way to making him mine. He was making little grunting noises with each thrust. He was emitting submissive pheromones which were driving me to jab even harder and quicker into his tight little anus. The Alpha Dog in me was getting desperate to tie with him and claim him as mine so I hammered away with short sharp deep thrusts to lock myself in as deep as I could when I bred him.

I grunted as my knot locked in him. "Aaarrghhh!!!! You're mine Pup!!!" I cried out as I claimed the pup as mine. My balls jumped up and I shot rope after heavy rope of Setter cum deep in him marking him as mine. I held him close to me, locked deep inside him as Morpheus dragged me into the land of dreams.

After enduring a long night at work punctuated by another abusive visit by Max and Bubba I was finally able to leave and head over to Gordons. His mom had washed my race stuff and we ran up to the fieldhouse where we waited for Coach to show up with the bus to take us to the race.

When he showed up we all piled onto the bus and headed for the race. The Pack of course commandeered the seats in the back. We soon started a rousing chorus of "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall", mainly just to annoy Coach Bart. But we realized it wasn't working when he joined in. It was about a 40 minute drive to the race. It was another small race but this time it was 10K instead of a 5K. I was sure I was going to have to start from the back again. We walked over to the registration table. While we were waiting in line Coach walked over to the dog in charge, a German Shepherd about his age, and started talking to him. After a few seconds of talking he yelled to us.

"Adam, Gordon, Jimmy, Chuck and Ron come over here." We all walked over to where Coach was standing beside the German Shepherd. "I talked to Fritz earlier in the week about trying to get you guys a better seeding. He told me that because you all placed at the state meet he could let you start in the second row as "Celebrity" runners."

"Yeah that won't be a problem, it's a very discretionary decision. Besides Adam is the closest thing we've ever had to a "Celebrity" in the three years we've been running this race." Fritz explained before he was called away to solve some other pre-race crisis.

"That should help you guys get better seeding times." Coach said to us.

"Yeah it should save us about a half minute of fighting through the slower runners." I concurred as we got back in the registration line to get our numbers and pay our entry fees.

I was given 101 so I had the inside of the second row and the rest of the pups had numbers 102 through 105. Only those of us that placed at state were given celebrity runner status so the rest of the team had to start at the back. I went over to Logan, put my arm around his shoulder and gave him some advice. "This race is a long way for a pup your age. Make sure you don't go out too fast. Pace yourself for the first half then if you are still feeling strong pick off one runner at a time."

"Yes Sir... err... I mean Adam." He replied. It still made me chuckle how much he held me in awe.

We warmed up a little then headed over to the starting line. At the pole position was a familiar face. Sean was there and when he saw us he just shook his head.

"You again?" He said in good natured exasperation. "How am I ever supposed to win one of these things if you keep showing up?"

"Easy... Just run faster cuz." I told him as I shook his paw.

"Well at least I'll have a head start again." He said with an evil grin.

"Yes you will but only by one yard..." I grinned back just as evilly as I showed him my number.

"FUCK! How'd you get that!" He asked in shock.

"We're 'Celebrity' runners." I replied with a smirk.

What the fuck is a 'Celebrity' runner?" He asked.

I explained what it was and he just shook his head. "You've gotta be fucking kidding me!" He said getting more animated by the minute. You need to tell me what races you're going to so I can find other small races. I wanna win one of these things!" He concluded his rant then said sheepishly, "By the way it's good to see you again."

"It's good to see you too!" I replied as I looked toward the back rows. Joey had just arrived and was there with the rest of our team looking very confused as to why we where up front. I guess Coach didn't think to get him "Celebrity" runner status. It appeared that Coach Bart saw him at the same time and he walked over to him to explain things.

We did a little more stretching and it was time for the race to start. I was lined up right behind Sean and when the starting gun went off he took off like he was shot from the gun to keep from getting boxed in. I made sure I followed him and soon we were out in the lead and out of the crowd. That took some of the strategy out of the race. My only strategy for now was to stay on my cousin's shoulder and see how I felt at the halfway point. I had never raced more than a 5K before and since this was twice as long I didn't want to burn myself out before the finish line.

A couple of runners from the local small college were in a group a little back from us and right behind them were Gordon and Jimmy. I wasn't really worried about the college dogs, they were seeded behind Sean so I figured he was the one I had to beat. Sean and I continued to slowly eased away from the other runners and by the halfway point we were over an eighth of a mile ahead of the rest of the runners.

I took stock of how my body was feeling. I felt strong so I slowly picked up the pace and Sean was smart enough to let me go and run his own race instead of burning himself out trying to keep up. I knew that I was going to have to run a lot of time with no one pushing me in races this fall so I needed to get in the habit of pushing myself. I concentrated on my form as I picked up the pace.

The rest of the race was pretty uneventful. I gradually pulled away from Sean and with a half mile to go I started a prolonged kick just to get in the habit of finishing strong. I crossed the line at 31:28. It was a pretty decent time, I did the calculation in my head and came up with a 5:05 minute per mile pace. That would get me a pretty decent seeding when we entered some of the bigger races.

The last half mile of the race had been a medium uphill grade. From the finish line you could see the last half mile after the runners made a left turn onto that last grade. Sean had just turned the corner and was picking up the pace in a long kick. He was well ahead of everyone else, he was half way up the hill before the next runners turned the corner onto the last straightaway. He crossed the finish line in a very respectable 34:06.

Two of the small college runners were a quarter mile behind Sean and they were running side by side pushing each other toward the finish line. And just turning the corner onto that final straightaway was the familiar black and tan shape of my pup. He was moving at a nice pace picking it up for a nice driving finish. About 50 yards behind him Jimmy and Joey both came around the corner. I was worried that they were gonna be able to catch him. It's a lot easier to run with someone pushing you than by yourself. At first it was hard to tell if they were gaining on him but after a few moments it became obvious that Gordon was slowly pulling away from them. If he could hold them off he would get a trophy for finishing 5th overall and another for finishing 3rd in the age group.

Sean had crossed the finish line and I gave him a high five when he walked over to me. I had already jogged for a couple of minutes to cool down, so he jogged to cool down while I watched the rest of the finishers. Gordon was too far away for me to bother yelling encouragement, but it didn't seem necessary since he was still pulling away.

The two college dogs finished side by side. At that point Gordon was close enough that I could yell encouragement at him. When he heard me he seemed to pick up the pace even more until he crossed the finish line at 36:08. I ran up to him and gave him a quick congratulatory hug and and told him to jog for a moment to cool down.

Joey and Jimmy were neck and neck until the last hundred yards when Joey pulled a couple of yards ahead to take sixth place. Jimmy had to settle for seventh. I congratulated both of them and the three of us jogged over to Gordon who was doing his cool down jog, so we could all cool down together.

Ron was the next of The Pack to finish, crossing the line in 16th place and Chuck finished in 32nd place. But the big surprise was Logan finishing in 48th place. As Logan crossed the finish line he lay down in exhaustion in the grass which is exactly the worst thing to do. You want to keep moving so you don't cramp up and to help work the lactic acid out of your system. I ran over to him and picked him up, hugging him as I did.

"Great run Pup!" I said as I pulled him to his feet. But you need to get up and keep moving." A I held him up I could feel him stiffen in his shorts. I let him go and he started to jog beside us around the finish area as we continued to keep an eye on the finish line.

Keith finished in 55th place and to my surprise Coach Bart was only 50 yards behind in 58th place. Damn did he look sexy as he drove for the finish line. All those sexy muscles straining under that short sleek Dobie coat that didn't hide anything. It was my turn to bone up as I watched him sprint the last 100 yards toward the finish line.

"Great job Coach!" I yelled as I ran over toward him. He as still out of breath from kicking it in.

"Did you win?" He managed to say between gasps for breath.

"Yeah I won." I said not overly enthusiastically since I had expected to win against this level of competition. "I ran a 31:28."

"Damn that's smokin'! That should get you a good seeding at the big race two weeks from now!" There should be some real smokers there for you to test yourself against." He added now that he had started to catch his breath. Being that it was a 10K instead of a 5K the runners were more strung out so there was quite a while to wait while all the runners finished.

The awards ceremony was very similar to the one the week before except that this week Gordon walked away with two trophies, one for finishing third and a bigger one for finishing fifth overall. They were the first trophies he had ever won. He had won medals in track before but never a trophy.

Logan also won a trophy for winning his age group. He was doing really well but I hoped this early success wouldn't make him take it for granted and not work hard enough to reach his potential. He was so excited when he got it that he had to run over to show it to me. His tail was moving so fast it looked like a propeller.

"Great job!" I said as I took the trophy in my paws to check it out. I handed it back to him, gave him a quick hug and said, "I'll get a better look at it later. I've got to go up and get my trophy in a minute."

"Gordon was called up to get his trophy followed by Sean and then me. You could see Gordon beaming at the trophy in his hands. Without a doubt his mom would put it on display in their house as soon as he got it home. I'm sure she was going to be proud of him, as she should be. I wished that my folks felt the same way. If anyone walked into our house they would have no idea that I was even an athlete, let alone a State Champion. I won two trophies today and I was going to have to ask Coach Bart to take them to his house so my stepfather wouldn't trash them.

After I got my trophy for first place overall and Gordon got his 5th place overall trophy we piled into the bus to head home. Gordon and I commandeered a place in the back seat which went the whole way across the back of the bus.

"Today the back seat's only for pups that won trophies!" I yelled out. The only one that had won a trophy today besides Gordon and I was Logan. You could see the inside of his ears blushing as he carried his trophy back. Gordon and I gave each other a conspiratorial look and we spread apart so Logan could sit between us.

"Can I look at your trophy?" Logan asked as he sat down, the end of his tail still thrashing in excitement even though he was sitting on most of it. He wanted to see my first place overall trophy because my age group trophy was identical to his.

"Sure pup." I said as I handed it to him. He handled it almost with reverence.

"I wanna win one of these some day..." Logan said, not taking his eyes off of the trophy.

"Well if you work hard there's no reason you can't win one when you get a little older." I replied honestly. I usually didn't tell pups they could get good enough to win big races if they tried hard enough. The sad truth of the matter is that no matter how hard most pups train they are never going to be elite runners. They can become better than they are, but hard work can only carry you so far. Some pups just don't have the physical ability and some don't have the mental strength to push through the pain that is essential to being a great distance runner. God given talent combined with hard work is the only way to become a champion. Logan had talent. I'm not sure if he had as much as I did, only time would tell, but he had enough to win one of these road races one of these days it he worked hard enough.

"You really think so?" He asked.

"I see no reason why you can't." I replied then added with a wink. "As long as I'm not in the race."

He playfully punched me in the arm and I quickly got him in a headlock with my right arm, pulling him across my body so I could give him a Dutch rub. His legs were straddling my thigh, and as he struggled to get away I could feel his little boner pressing against my quads. I started to press harder with my knuckles on the Dutch rub.

"Let me go!" He yelled.

"Say Uncle." I ordered.

"No Way!" He said defiantly, so I rubbed even harder. "OK! Uncle!" He finally yelled.

I let him go and watched him to gauge his reaction. I wasn't sure if he'd be resentful or not, but he just sat down next to me and smiled. This time I tousled his headfur affectionately.

"I bet your folks are gonna be proud of you for winning another trophy." I said as I pulled my paw away from his headfur.

"My mom will be..." He said tentatively.

"Why won't your dad?" I asked, father issues being a sore spot for me.

"My dad's dead..." Logan said, his eyes dropping to the floor.

"I'm sorry... I didn't know." I replied awkwardly.

"It's no big deal. I never met him. He died in the war when my mom was pregnant with me." He finished in a melancholy tone.

I put my arm around him and pulled him close. Everyone on the bus went silent for a moment. Gradually pups started to talk uneasily about things and soon the bus was back to it's normal bedlam. When we pulled into the parking lot and started to get off the bus I sat my trophies beside coach and asked, "Hey Coach. Can you store my trophies over at your place with the other ones?"

"Sure. No Problem." Coach replied but it was obvious he was bristling at the fact that because of my stepfather I couldn't keep them at my house and show them off. I left them at the front of the bus when I got off. Coach had to take the bus back to the garage and then transfer them to his car when he got there. He drove off leaving us to our own devices.

Gordon called his mom from the pay phone at the field house. "Mom can you come pick us up?" He asked then listened to her reply. "Yeah I know we normally run home but I can't run and carry all the trophies I won!" He almost yelled in his exuberance. He listened some more then hung up. "She said she'll be here in a few minutes. She was all excited by the trophies."

Logan was standing beside us holding his trophy. I asked Gordon, "Do you think your mom will give Logan a ride home?"

"I'm sure she will. You live at the bottom of Sky Hill, right?" He asked Logan.

"Yeah." Logan replied surprisingly subdued, almost like he had mixed emotions about us giving him a ride home.

Gordon's mom showed up quickly, driving up to Gordon and rolling the window down. Gordon was proudly holding both of his trophies up so she could see them.

"Which one is yours?" She asked.

"Both of them! I got this one for taking 5th place overall and this one for taking 3rd in my age group. Gordon said holding up both trophies.

"That's Great!" She said, the pride obvious in her voice. But where are your trophies Adam?"

"I let Coach keep them at his house so Wilbur doesn't trash them." I replied. It was obvious that she wanted to make a disparaging remark about him but she bit her tongue.

"Mom can you give Logan a ride home too? He lives down the hill from Adam." Gordon inquired.

"Sure. Hop in." She replied. Gordon jumped into the front seat and Logan and I hopped into the back seat with me. He sat kinda close to me and I tousled his headfur. I didn't really want Gordon's mom to see him sitting so close to me but she was too excited talking to Gordon about the trophies to notice.

"We can clear a place off of the mantle over the fireplace and put them there. That way everybody that comes in can see them." She said then added, "I'm so proud of you." as she put her arm around her son and hugged him.

"Mom..." Gordon protested in a whiny voice, but I could tell inside he was just eating the praise and attention up.

When we got down to the bottom of the hill Gordon's mom asked. "OK Logan, where do you live?"

"You can just drop me off here ma'am." Logan said in a slightly nervous tone.

"Don't be silly we're already in the car. It will only take a few seconds longer.

"It's the third house on the left ma'am." He replied dejectedly.

I had seen that house before and it wasn't even as nice as our house. It was really small and it desperately needed a paint job. Some of the shingles in the roof were loose and one window was boarded up. It was obvious that he was embarrassed by it. But on the plus side the grass was neatly cut, the shrubs were trimmed and there was a pretty little flower bed in the front that looked so incongruous next to the ramshackle little house.

For a moment none of us spoke. It looked like Logan was gonna break down in tears so I said, "Ma'am I'm gonna walk Logan to the door if that's OK."

"Sure Adam, we're in no hurry." She replied.

"Thanks ma'am." I said as I opened the door and got out. Instead of opening his door to get out Logan slid across the seat and got out on my side. He was completely silent, even his tail which usually was wagging nonstop was down between his legs. I finally said, "You're embarrassed about where you live aren't you?"

"Yeah." He said quietly.

I gently grabbed him by the shoulders and turned him around to face me. "You have no reason to be embarrassed. You're a good runner and a member of The Pack, and we like you because of that not because of where you live." I hugged him and said. "I'm still your friend, don't worry about that."

"Thanks." He said sniffling, but there was a weak smile on his muzzle again.

Before we got to the door it opened and a pretty Husky bitch walked out of the door. "You must be Adam. You're all Logan talks about." She said extending a paw to me.

"Mom..." Logan protested in embarrassment.

"Thanks for taking an interest in him." She went on like Logan hadn't interrupted. "Lord knows he needs some good male role models..." That made a lot of sense since I knew he had no father.

"He's a good hard working pup ma'am and we're proud to have him on the team." I said. "Show her your trophy."

He showed her the trophy and told here what it was for. His excitement level was almost back to normal. He was smiling and his tail was almost a blur.

As I turned to leave I said, "I'll see you at practice tomorrow." Then I walked back to the car. We drove up to Gordon's house where dinner was almost ready. As we ate Gordon and I told his mother all about the race. After dinner his mom said she needed to go shopping. I'm sure she did need to go, but I suspected she wanted to leave the house to give us a little privacy. As soon as she left we headed up to Gordon's room.

We quickly got undressed, our boners rising in anticipation. Gordon stood there staring at me for a second then asked, "Logan's never seen you naked before has he?"

"I don't think so. Why?" I replied.

"I think he's gonna be amazed when he sees how huge you are." He replied as he walked up to me and ran a paw up my engorged sheath."

"I wouldn't call it huge..." I said tentatively.

"Eight fat inches IS huge! I haven't seen any of the other pups in this school packing that much." He continued as he cupped my nuts with his other paw.

"I'm not sure we should take advantage of Logan. He doesn't have a dad and he and his mom live in that run down little shack." I said feeling guilty.

"I don't have a father and you took advantage of me..." Gordon said with an evil grin.

"If I remember correctly you just about forced me to take you." I corrected.

"Exactly! And I bet Logan would want to do the same thing, ESPECIALLY since he doesn't have a father. I think not having a father makes you kinda need a big dog in your life..." He said as he dropped to his knees to put his muzzle to a better use than talking. He peeled back my sheath, licked his muzzle and took my dickhead into it. Soon his nose was buried in my pubes, the head of my dick lodged deep in his throat. Soon he was bobbing eagerly up and down my shaft. Maybe he was right. Maybe it wasn't taking advantage of someone it they really wanted it deep down inside.
