Day 1: Different start
Here we follow a husky named Dennis through his diary about his school, family, interests and feelings
Dear Diary,
Today was a fine day. The school just started and the ceremony of welcome went great and I did meet some nice and friendly people even though I can't remember their names yet. I guess there's so much information to register when you meet completely new peoples. My expectations for the school haven't been confirmed yet but it's also too early to make a conclusion so I'll wait patiently. What I do know about the school though it's that it had been recommended by my older friends, both those who's still in the school and those who finished it and all they keep saying is the teachers are amazing. I can't wait to confirm this piece of information for I had only one teacher or staff member from the school today and he wasn't going to teach us at all. He was just there to welcome us and inform the scheme of the day. Oh, the scheme. It was... different. At first it was doll and nearly boring; we were just sitting in the class hearing what the staff teacher had to say about the rules, the lessons and subjects and so on. Then after some speech the staff teacher said we had to prepare ourselves for a surprise. My god, I guess no one expected that to happen, not even me. The door suddenly opened wide and transverse flute music filled the air and amazing looking lady huskies came in dancing synchronized, they even moved their tails at the same time, can you believe that?! So the placing of the tables wasn't random after all, I suppose we all came to that thought. Some spins were made then they placed themselves so they made a tunnel. What I reckon the other first year classes also received this kind of welcome. Anyway, a smart looking Labrador went through the tunnel and made it to the front table. I don't remember exactly what he said but it's something like this: "Welcome, first year babies, welcome to Stanley High School, the school of fun times and shared experiences" By the appearance he didn't look like a teacher so I guess he's either a student himself or an earlier student of the school. Never mind, here's what he also said: "Today is your first day at our school and we are very thankful for your choice of going on this school. Now no more talk, let us begin the fun parts! Now rise from your tables and follow me and my performers" He made a sign to the performers and as he walked past the first encountered human made tunnel they both broke the setup and followed him. That happened to the others too so they made some sort of parade. When they all went out we followed and as I guessed the other classes were in the middle of the same experience. We all where lead to the front yard of the school, on the warm and soft plain. Apparently we were meant to duel against each other with different kinds of activities. I'm not usually up for this but I was kind of heated up so I did it without questioning. We were doing different ball sports, unfortunately football was among them. A whole tug of war tournament was held where the new classes were against each other, the second year against each other and the final year students against each other. The each winners of the each year had to fight each other and if it wasn't for the ground beneath us which had been made soft by all the competitions we would have won the first place. Anyway it was overall a fine day.
