Mommy where are you?

Rion the Riolu had fallen asleep after about 9:30 at night. Rion couldn't stop thinking about where her mother is and why isn't she here with him. She is supposed to be here with him and love him and care for him. The thought of his mother not wanting him sent chills down his spine.

Rion and DJ had been sleeping in DJ's bed for about 30 minutes. DJ was on the far right to give Rion some space, while he was generously given the rest of the bed for himself.

"Poor Riolu." DJ thought, "He must be so devastated having been abandoned by his mother when he was in an egg."

Riolu had been havving a bad time trying to fall asleep, but eventually he had suceeded. DJ couldn't fall asleep after the big day he had. After his egg had hatched he had given the Riolu a name and learned a little about what his family tree Pokemon do.DJ was going to try again to go to sleep when Rion started to thrash about in his sleep.

"Riolu wake up!" DJ exclaimed as he really started to thrash around. DJ continued to try to wake him by shaking him slightly and yelling to him.

"Noooooooo" Rion screamed at the top of his lungs.

Out of nowhere, Rion grabbed DJ's arm and, with inner strength, threw DJ on the other side of the bed. The loud thud must have been enough because as soon as DJ had hit the floor,Rion woke up.

"Ugh.what's going on?"Rion questioned as he awoken from a deep sleep. "DJ, why are you on the floor?"

"Rion, you just tossed me like I was a piece of paper on the floor." DJ said trying to get up, obviously hurt his back falling.

"Oh no are you hurt DJ?" Rion said as he jumped off of the bed to assist his friend up. "I'm so sorry, I had a nightmare and you scared me when you shook me. Please don't hate me."

"I'm fine just a little sore, what were you dreaming about that made you freak out anyway?" DJ asked as he sat on the bed and brought Rion next to him.

"Nothing it was just a bad dream." Rion didn't want to tell DJ the dream yet.

(This portion is the dream that Rion had)

It was a very dark and somewhat foggy night in a thick forest. Rion awoke in a soft bush wondering where he was. One minute he had fallen asleep in DJ's bed, and the next he was in a forest? This didn't add up to Rion.

"...... ..... ...."Riolu said

"I can't talk, what is going on?"Rion thought

"Aaaaaaaah!"Rion heard somebody yell a short distance away and stood to investigate. After hearing the yell 2 more times, getting closer to the source of the yells, he knew exactly who was yelling.

"DJ!"Rion thought and started to sprint towards his friend. It took a while considering he was a small Pokemon in a thick forest but after a minute he finally came to a small clearing and saw a dark figure standing over DJ on the ground.

"No please let me go!" DJ yelled out to the figure. Rion tried to yell out to DJ but realized again he couldn't talk. Rion thought about what was going on. All he knew was that his friend was on the ground and he needed his help.

Without a second thought Rion rushed into the clearing to try and tackle the figure away from DJ. Rion ran as fast as he could but to his horror he saw that as he moved, he was even further away from the two. To make matters worse, the figure had taken a bright blue sword made of what looked like light and aimed it at DJ. He watched as the figure raised the sword above his head and before Rion saw anymore somebody had grabbed his shoulder and by instinct, grabbed them and threw them.

" I don't want DJ worrying about a stupid dream like that" Rion thought. "Don't worry about it DJ, let's just try to get some more sleep."

DJ somewhat shrugged it off but inside he knew that something was wrong and he wanted to help Rion.

"Alright I guess."DJ said as he laid back down on his side of the bed, hoping to get some sleep.

"Don't worry Rion, it was only a dream" he thought to himself, "but why do I have a bad feeling that it is way much more than that."

(The next morning)

The night was very calm after that night's "expierience". Rion didn't have anymore nightmares and slept happily. DJ slept a bit uncomfortably being on the far end of the bed, but managed to fall asleep and not fall off.

"Wake up Rion, we have a big day ahead of us, and there is no time for sleeping in." DJ said as he pulled the covers off the bed and started to fold it after. "Why not?" Rion asked, "What are we going to do anyway?" "We are going to start training you. Since we are going to try and find your parents, we are probably going to have to leave town." DJ said as he stood up and started to head to the bathroom to take a shower.

"Do you really think we will find them?" Rion asked as he hopped off the bed, "I think we should head out right away."

"Sorry Rion but we can't." DJ said as he entered the doorway. "Aw, but why not?" Rion asked as he followed DJ out of the room. "Two reasons." DJ replied as he stopped in the hallway, "One: we need to let my parents know where I am going if it means going to who knows where. Two: if we are going far away, we need to train you in fighting."

"I guess you're right, besides it wouldn't be polite for me to leave without meeting your parents." Rion said as his tail started wagging from excitement.

"Alright then it's settled. I'm going to take a shower now alright. After that we'll eat breakfast, run a quick errand, and then we will head to the forest." DJ said and faced to the door.

Rion shuddered at the mention of a forest. "Alright DJ, I guess I'll wait here." Rion said as he formed the best smile he could after the mention of forest.

After taking a shower, DJ grabbed Rion off of his bed and went downstairs to make breakfast for the two.

Dj discovered a slight problem when he got to the kitchen, he had no Pokefood. Well would it be okay for him to have regular food? he thought. After pondering this for about a minute he decided that it couldn't hurt to have a little taste.

"Here Rion, try this." DJ said as he handed Rion a piece of cereal. Rion curiously sniffed the piece, licked it, then finally put the piece in his mouth.

"This tastes good DJ." Rion said. "Can I have some more please?"

DJ was very happy, Rion liked the food. "Of course you can Rion." He handed Rion a nearly full bowl of cereal and they sat down at the table.

After eating breakfast and gathering some supplies, the two headed out towards the forest to train Rion.
