"are you ever going to bury that cat?!" Loki screeches, "what? no way! Doctor Erwin is still alive!!" Autumn snaps, "what do you mean its still alive?" Loki sighs exasperated. "look i don't know how or why but... have you heard of Schrodinger's cat?" Autumn asks, "yea what about it?" Loki asks, "well... Doctor Erwin acts the same way. so long as the box is closed hes both alive an dead, hes basically a zombie cat. but if i take him out he will die and since he CAN die that means hes still alive and you don't bury living things!!" Autumn snaps. "but the poor thing is trapped in there for the rest of its life... its got to be starving!" Loki says, "hes also dead. he doesn't need to eat. and you see this box? its a fancy box called a Tardis. ^.^ or its at least a cheap copy. ive named IRIS for interplanetary rifts in space " Autumn explains peeking in through the window. "so? whats a tardis?" Loki asks, "oh god my inner fan girl is gonna kill you.." Autumn mutters. "A TARDIS is time and relative dimension in space. its a space ship that can travel through time." Autumn explains. "and since it basically occupys its on dimension or something fancy... its bigger on the inside. Doctor Erwin has as much room as he could ever want and the IRIS can open small bubbles of space inside a room in there in a way keeping him in the box as well as letting him out on another planet or somewhere else on this one." Autumn explains. Loki frowns.." so what i think i know is that inside this box called Iris there is a Zombie cat, and a bunch of doors that lead anywhere in space and time?" Loki asks. Autumn bounces excitedly. "yes exactly!!" she squeals. "then i just have one question." Loki says, "what?" Autumn asks, "what the fuck are you smoking?!" she snaps.

Dear Diary,

Its been a month since i was saved and trapped in this big Purple box. after over hearing the name of the box, IRIS from Autumn i've painted the entire inside of the main room with the flowers of its namesake. earlier today after my third nap so id guess around lunch time, i over heard Autumn and the crabby one, Loki, talking about me and my Box. Loki wants to bury us but Autumn won't allow it. it seems that my fear of opening the black door near the hallway to the sleeping quarters has been my misfortune for the long past month as opening it would apparently have lead me to a new world. i am going to open the black door today. see these other worlds Autumn says i can, or die trying. its better than what i'm doing now.

~Doctor Erwin, Zombie Cat.

I set my Diary down on the odd centerpiece of the IRIS. it seemed to be an advanced computer center with machinery sticking out of it at odd and dangerous angles. it had a basic hourglass lick figure in the center that reached the ceiling. in the hourglass small balls barely bigger than ball bearings, of all colors whiz around in circles around 12 floating glass orbs full of color changing liquid. they seemed to be lava lamps but they gave off no heat. circling the odd lower computer section is a flat area i'd been using as a desk. in the living area, a large one room loft type area, was a feather bed covered in pillows below a sun roof, a love seat under a lamp next to a sparsely filled bookshelf, a dining room table near a fully stocked kitchen and beside the bed surrounded by mirrors, a wardrobe fully stocked. i stop in front of the mirrors and take a look at myself, stitches from Autumns frantic attempts to save me barely holding slabs for flayed flesh to my body, my entire left arm hold on only by staples. a metal rod from a wire hanger wrapper around and pierced through my neck to keep my head on my shoulders.. i looked like Frankenstein monster.. well if he was a bipedal oddly colored tom. i open the wardrobe and find some suitable clothes, a long hooded trench coat, a pair of loose fitting black pants with tons of pockets, a button up white shirt and a purple and gold striped tie. i get dressed quickly realizing the button up shirt actually has no buttons and the pants hang low. another look in the mirror now shows a war torn scarred up tom cat whose earned his scars rather than the scraggly disease ridden best that needed to be put down for its own health. it was obvious as well that the exercise i'd been doing while bored for the past month had paid off.

"i'm not going to die when i open this door. i'm going to walk into a place more awesome then i could ever have imagined." i say to myself with my hand on the door knob. i feel my heart beating erratically as i twist and push open the door. with my eyes shut tight and holding my breathe i walk through to door, i open my eyes and let you a short laugh. in this circular room were more doors. just doors. all the same brown wood except for another black one on the far side. "i knew i was overreacting." i murmur. i turn to the first door to my right and open it fearlessly this time to step out into a foreign land.
