Club Shuriken - Part 1

After getting into the club, Naruto and Hinata were immediately assaulted by intense heat and body shaking thrum, as the music vibrated throughout the building. The entire place was dimly lit, colourful lights flashed from the far end of the building, where the stage was. The area near the door was packed with people, either sitting at tables or standing around mingling with others, brightly coloured drinks or bottles in hand as they chatted amongst themselves. Hinata suddenly felt extremely nervous, she knew that there was nothing to be nervous about, but there was something about walking into large crowds like this that she hated. Se felt a reassuring squeeze on her hand and saw Naruto smiling at her.

"This is some place huh?" Naruto asked with a beaming smile, Hinata nodded and blushed. "Come on lets go see if we can find a seat."

Sasuke sat on the uncomfortable wooden stood leaning on his elbows against the tall wooden bar, a glass filled with whisky sitting on the bar in front of him. Lost in a world of self pity, even the deafening music that reverberated around him was lost to him. He had come here a few hours ago and began to drink, after flashing a fake ID to the barman. He had first tried whisky from his fathers collection of alcohols and found it made him pleasantly numb. After a while he even managed to develop a taste for it, enjoying the refreshing burn of the liquid as run down his throat and into his stomach. He wanted to be numb, numb was good, it meant he didn't want to feel anything. His feelings for Naruto had reached an all time high and it was getting too much for him, so he resorted to the one thing he thought would help.

He picked up the glass and threw the contents down his neck in one go, the burn of the liquid felt good, warming him from the inside out, but it wasn't making him numb. He had drank a lot tonight and he still wasn't numb enough, the burning pain in his chest over whelmed the numbness he so desired, he wanted Naruto, needed him. He didn't know what he'd do if Naruto abandoned him for Kiba, it would be like trying to live without breathing.

Disappointed with the drinks effectiveness Sasuke placed the glass back down and signalled the barman for a refill. He was vaguely aware of a filled glass being placed in front of him, but was so lost in his self pity that he was completely unaware of Sakura walking towards him. Sakura grabbed Sasuke's arm and spun him round to face her.

"What the hell do you think you're doing Sasuke!?" Sakura yelled, her face displaying her annoyance. "Why the hell are you drinking!?"

"Leave me alone Sakura!" Sasuke said dejectedly turning back to the bar only to be grabbed by Sakura.

"Like hell I will! You're under-age! You shouldn't be drinking at all!" Sasuke tried to ignore her by focusing on the couples dancing on the dance floor. His vision locked onto a particular couple who were dancing suggestively, their hands roaming over each others bodies, their hips grinding, not caring who saw them. He wanted to dance like that with Naruto. "SASUKE! Are you listening to me?!" Sakura yelled.

"I said leave me alone!" Sasuke snarled breaking Sakura's grip on his shirt and shoving her away. "I don't care what you have to say!" He snarled, his words badly slurred. "I only want Naruto but I've already lost him!" He yelled, not caring who might over hear him.

"You haven't lost him yet!" Sakura snapped, annoyed at her team-mates behaviour.

"I may as well have! You know what Kiba's like, once he gets his claws into you..." Sasuke fell back onto his stool his body slumped in defeat trying to hold back his tears. He reached for the glass on the bar and downed it's contents tossing the glass back on the bar before staggering off. Sakura stood shocked as she watched Sasuke walk away wondering if she should follow him.

'He's drunk, I'll get no sense out of him tonight... I'll talk to him tomorrow.'

Sasuke had staggered through the large double doors into the back, a long brightly lit corridor lay before him, the bright light hurt his eyes. The constant thrum of the music could still be heard here, but it had been drowned out considerably. He kept one hand against the wall to help keep his balance, he had no idea where he was going, he had just wanted to get away from Sakura. He slumped against the wall the cold stone felt good through his thin shirt, his blue shirt had been torn when Sakura had grabbed it and he shoved her away, but he didn't care, he just wanted the pain to end; he just wanted Naruto.

Naruto and Hinata began to navigate their way round the crowds of people, once they had gotten further in they could see that they were actually elevated above a lower area, the level below was filled with even more people, it was like a sea of bodies, most of them dancing to the music played by the DJ, whose booth was next to a large stage on the furthest wall. Smoke and lights flooded the lower level making it even more difficult to make out any specific person below. Naruto was impressed, he hadn't seen anything like this even on his travel with Jiraiya, the music was relentless, the beat addictive, he hadn't heard music like it before. There was no words, it was just music, it was primal and resonated with some part deep inside him. He turned to speak to Hinata when he spotted some familiar faces behind her.

"BUSY BROWS! NEJI! TEN-TEN!" Naruto yelled over the loud music. The three in question looking in his direction and the look of surprise on their faces made Naruto chuckle. Lee was the first one to react striding forward and giving Naruto a firm handshake.

"Naruto! It is good to see you again my friend!" Lee grinned. He looked exactly like Naruto remembered him, the same green jump suit, the same hair style that looked like he sat a bowl on his head and trimmed round the edges, the only thing that Naruto would have said had changed about him was the the two large hairy caterpillars, he called eyebrows, had gotten even bushier. "Sakura told me you were back in town."

"Oh yeah that's right! I heard you were dating her now."

"YES!" Lee exclaimed striking a dramatic pose. "After all those years of asking, she finally succumbed to the fires of my youth!" Lee's comment made Hinata blush and Naruto sweat dropped.

"Lee... that's kinda gross man..."

"What do you mean Naruto?" Lee asked looking confused.

"Don't mind Lee Naruto, he always says stupid things like that!" Ten-ten laughed. Ten-ten was dressed in a stunningly pink dress, her hair tied back in two buns on her head. The dress surprised Naruto as she had always struck him as a tom-boy, the fact she actually looked like a girl was almost confusing to him. "Oh Hinata! I didn't see you there!"

"Good evening..." Hinata stammered with a slight bow, speaking so quietly that no one could hear her over the music. Lee noticed that Naruto and Hinata were holding hands.

"Wait! Naruto are you and Hinata..."

"It's obvious that they are on a date Lee, don't ask pointless questions." Neji interrupted.

Neji like Lee hadn't changed much to how Naruto remembered him. His milky white eyes, the trademark of the Hyuga clan, were hard to miss even in the dim light of the club. He wore a simple white shirt and black pants, his black hair cascading gracefully over his shoulders. He raised a tall glass to his mouth and drank the bright pink liquid that it held.

"You're drinking Neji!?! But you're under-age!" Hinata exclaimed, shocked at her cousins behaviour.

"Oh don't be such a worry wart Hinata!" Neji scolded his cousin. "Their non-alcoholic. Just as well because Lee can be quite unpredictable if he has any alcohol."

"What are saying Neji! That I'm a light weight? That I can not hold my liquor? I'll show you!" Lee growled waving his fist at the Hyuga.

"LEE NO!" Naruto turned and saw Sakura holding a large pitcher of the same pink cocktail that they were all drinking.

"But Sakura..." Lee whined but immediately stopped when she glared at him.

Seeing Sakura Naruto couldn't help but whistle, she was wearing a tight red dress which showed off her figure, her long legs on display. "Sakura... looking good!" He praised.

"Yes, isn't she the most..."

"Naruto? I didn't know you'd be out tonight..." Sakura cut off Lee, Lee frowned as the conversation continued as if he wasn't there. Sakura noticed the pair were holding hands. "And you're with Hinata?"

"Yup! We're on a date. We had some dinner and we decided to come hear the band that's supposed to be playing here tonight. I've heard that their pretty good!" Naruto explained.

"OH YES! They are my favourite band!" Lee exclaimed with a fist pump. "Their youthful passion is so clearly conveyed through their music... it resonates within my soul... it... it..."

'I thought he was gay? Sasuke said he saw him with Kiba.... does this mean he's not gay? I hope Sasuke doesn't see them together... I don't know how he'd react.' Sakura thought to herself. "Lee means to say that they are really good." Sakura cut off her green spandex clad boyfriend once again. Defeated, Lee went back to his seat and slumped into the large leather chair..

"Do you want to join us Naruto?" Ten-ten offered.

"Do you want to join them Hinata?" Naruto asked, it was 'their' date after all. Hinata wanted nothing more than to keep Naruto to herself, she had waited so long for this... but she also knew that Naruto had not seen his friends in so long, she was not the kind of person to deny him that.

"I-I don't mind." She replied.

The group spent the next hour drinking non-alcoholic cocktails and catching up. Hinata had become quite fond of the pink cocktail that Neji had been drinking. After downing several glasses she asked what it was called, only for everyone to laugh at her reaction when she was told it was called an atomic orgasm.

Many other laughs were shared most of them at Lee's expense, Lee was surprisingly the life of any party. While he was deadly serious about his training and many other aspects of his life, it turned out he was the joker on a night out. Naruto had a stitch in his side from laughing so much, he could actually see why Sakura had grown to like him. Inevitably the drinks began to affect Naruto's bladder.

"Hey guys I'm going to go the toilet, why don't we go dancing when I get back?" He suggest to the group, turning to Hinata and giving her a wink. "What do ya say Hinata? Wanna dance?" Hinata blushed but nodded eagerly.

"Great idea Naruto! We will show our youthful passion on the dance floor!" Lee cheered and Sakura giggled.

"Right! I won't be long!" Naruto headed off quickly making his way through the crowds.

"Come on Hinata! You can come join us till Naruto gets back." Sakura grinned taking her arm and leading the pale eyed girl to the swarming mass of bodies below.
