#1 of Land of the Elves

A very long time ago in a place to the east was a kingdom full of creatures called elves. Elves are just like humans, but their agility and senses are much keener than ours and their ears are pointed at the tip. In this land was a royal family that kept the realm in check. If something went wrong, they would fix it. In this family was a mother, a father and two children. The two children were twins; a boy named Kage, and a girl named Hikarume. To celebrate their birth, the kingdom had a celebration at the castle.

At the celebration, a group of bandits snuck their way into the celebration and waited for the king, queen and the infants to parade by them where they would attack and steal the children. Of course the king and queen did not expect an attack and were not prepared to defend. When the parade marched by the bandits, they attacked and managed to steal Kage. The family was heartbroken and almost never left their palace to keep Hikarume safe.

15 Years After the Incident...

It was a crisp autumn day in Fier Woods, just outside the castle. The birds were singing and the trees were the colours of a raging fire. Suddenly, a quick movement stirs up the leaves, throwing them around in the air. Squirrels scamper up nearby trees and hide in their dens and the birds fall silent. The wind calms and a single figure stands alone on the tangle of roots, her ebony hair flowing with the final whispers of the wind.

"Heh, another day, another hunt." she whispered to herself. A curious squirrel comes out of it's den, down the tree and places it'self in front of the girl. Bad idea.

Slash! The squirrel falls to the ground and a small chatter comes from the trees, they other squirrels angry.

"Hey, a girl's got to eat to live ya know." she said whilst picking up the dead carcass. As if they understood, the chatters stop and the birds begin to sing their tunes again.

A voice from the castle exploded from the castle, causing the girl's face to pale. "THE PRINCESS IS MISSING!!!" they called out. The girl held the squirrel close to her heart and whispered words in an ancient language, "Saido kono mi ni inochi o modosu." Suddenly the squirrel came back to life. the girl smiled and placed the squirrel down and ran towards the castle.

"Hikarume! Hikarume!" The servants yelled out. It was chaos inside the castle.

"Lady Sakura, there is no need to worry about Hikarume. You know how she is sometimes." A young female servant said to a woman with a very intricate dress on. It seemed to wrap around her torso and spiral down to her ankles, the edges trimmed with lace that seemed to be cherry blossoms. The dress was an off whitish pink, and her ivory hair was adorned with a diadem crown, with a large garnet gem set in a flower-like design.

"I cant help but worry about her. She could be anywhere, they could have gotten her too!" Anxiety began to build up in her voice, "Ever since left, it's been hard to keep the balance in check. And with Hikarume growing up, she's going to want to go to explore the world outside the castle gates."

"Yes Lady Sakura, and I will do everything I can to help you." The girl concluded.

"Arigato, Kiseki." Lady Sakura said gratefully.

"Lady Sakura! Princess Hikarume had been found. She was out in the garden and now she is in her room." A man clad in what seemed to be golden armor reported.

Lady Sakura breathed out a sigh of relief, "I shall be up in her room. If anything is wrong, send me a Mirror Message."

"Yes, Lady Sakura!" The guard saluted and ran off.

'I have a feeling she wasn't in the garden this whole time. There is something else to this that Hikarume is keeping from me.'
