#7 of Journey after 100

I know that this chapter is a bit shorter than the lengths that I normally post, but I've got a lot to cover over the next few chapters and those ones are going to be reallyyyyyyyyyyy big chapters.

Journey to Another World 6

Ch. 107

Needless to say that it was good to finally get in touch with that of my younger sister, and to that, a bit of a relief that I still was in touch with the...outside world. I mean, it'd be one thing to be cut off completely with the...outside world and to that suffering with whatever it was that was making me ill; but with this line open between us so that I could keep tabs on how things were going with my physical body, then that gave me a timeline to work with. 'I was wondering when you'd be speaking up again.' I said to nobody, though one look over at Jenavee and to that our son let me know that he too was picking up on the psychic speech.

'Listen big brother, we've got a serious problem here,' she said to which I sat up a bit straighter in my seat and to that was going to heed every word that my sister said. Though before I could ask further she quickly cut in, 'Somehow...someway they've found out a few things about your condition and their currently looking into similar cases.'

I thought about that for a minute and to that the pros and cons of such a looking into would mean for me. The pro of the situation was that they'd have a similar case in/on file of something that'd happened to someone else and to that knew how to stabilize my condition. The big con side to it would be that they'd never seen or even thought what'd happened to me was even remotely possible; in which case I'd be the first person to experience this and to that a new lab rat to play around with. Knowing that things of an unusual nature; once presented to that of any scientist worth his salt, would pretty much leap at the opportunity to try or pull apart something to find out how it works and what makes it work. 'How much time do I have?' I asked, almost dreading the answer.

'Not long,' there came a long drawn out pause as I waited for that of my little sister to add on something else to those two words but none came.

'Then I guess we've got to do something about their interest,' I stated simply to which I heard a long drawn out breath from what seemed like nowhere.

'What are you getting at?' She asked in what could only be described as a bit of interest.

I smiled at that and leaned back slightly in the chair I was sitting in. 'The problem is that their interest in me isn't going to be in my best interest of health and to that it's probably going to result in me getting worse,' I rubbed at the stubble at my chin and tried to sort my thoughts.

'I take it that you have an idea as to how to get out from under their interest?' She asked in a matter of fact tone, to which I couldn't help but laugh at.

'How well you know me Twinkle-Toes,' I laughed again as my thought finally settled on the most simple/easy way out of this that I could come up with. 'Alright, here's what you're going to need and do...' It took me the better part of an hour to go about and explain all the details of what I needed her to do, but eventually she said that she'd do it and that it shouldn't take that long.

'Just be thankful that I work at a Gaming store,' she stated to which I couldn't help but chuckle at; seeing as who wouldn't be thankful for such a great/dream job. 'But what about you...are you alright in there?'

I couldn't help but slowly open my eyes and look about me at all the faces around the table. In each face I saw a memory of something within, but most of all I saw/felt a sense of warmth from each; especially when I looked over to Jenavee and saw what could only be described as a twinkle in her eye as she held up our son and gave him a gentle hug. 'More than you know twinkle-toes, more than you know.'

After a few brief more moments I was caught up on current events in the real world and to that my despair began to grow even further; for the time difference between the real world and the one I was currently in was on a very different scale, to which the effect of which was having a field day with my biology. Mostly, the Pokémon world was based on what could only be that double or triple time to that of the real world and to that my body progressed at that rate rather than the ordinary one of the real world. 'I'm aging faster than I should. Who knows how old my body is now due to the time change,' but as I looked about me once more and Jenavee placed her hand in mine (to which she gave my hand a reassuring squeeze) I couldn't help that that was time was well spent. 'Just make sure that you hurry Twinkle-Toes. I don't want to end up some scientists pin cushion.'

She said that she'd do the best she could but in that there came a long drawn out pause before I heard her breathing again. 'I hope you're right about this big brother. I mean, there's really no way to know if this will work or not.'

'But at the moment, that's all I've got,' I said back to her to which she sighed and said that the whole thing would probably take a few days to do and in that just about that much time to work properly. After all, what we were planning was probably going to break a few rules and pretty much everyone knows that if this were to go wrong at some point that I'd be in even more trouble. Finally we said our goodbyes and to that I felt something move away, almost like the feeling of a room after the fires gone out.

Interlacing my fingers together and resting my elbows on the table, I couldn't help but think over the marching orders I'd given to my little sister. 'I just wish I remembered which one of the games you can catch a Ho-oh, but for the life of me I just can't recall.' (Author: Yes, I know which one of the games but this way is more fun to write about) But as I thought over the matter a little more I came to a realization, 'If she's able to get a Ho-oh, then what level would it be?' I recalled that a friend of mine was showing off his new cheat system and to that caught a Pokémon (Not available in that game due to whatever reason) and it was caught at a beginner's/infant level. The thought of something like that happening, a legendary at an infant level, I began to worry even more about my plan. 'There are things here in this world that you would never find in that of the game, so it would only stand to reason that if she catches the legendary at an infant level...' a shudder ran though me at the thought of an infant with legendary powers and to that everything that goes with it.

I'd once seen a show where such a thing had happened, an infant/child was given god like powers and didn't know how to control them; to which would have been a really short show as I was fairly sure that the kid would accidently sneeze and blow everyone off the face of the planet, an epic fart that would turn the worlds oxygen into laughing gas, or literally cry a river, but thanks to a few intervening characters in the show the kid was able to slowly gain control of his gifts and didn't split the world in two. "Though not for a lack of trying," I said aloud to which all the other members around the table turned and raised an eyebrow at my general direction. After letting out a guilty/forced laugh I said that I just had a weird memory pop up and that everyone should just ignore it, thankfully they did.

For the better part of the rest of breakfast I spent it in silent thought, trying to piece together what I was going to do, but simply just came up with the thought that I'd just have to wing it after the bird got here. 'There's no telling what level it's going to be but thinking about the worse-case scenario first is best,' to which my thoughts instantly swerved onto that of the Articuno that'd been enjoying the dominatrix role a little too much. 'I can't have that dirty bird influencing the upbringing of another legendary, which happens to be an infant. I've seen it way to many times that an infant that is abused by its parents will more often than not become that which has been done to them.' With a confirming nod I had just given myself my own marching orders and to that was to deal with the Articuno before my sister would transfer Ho-oh into this world.

(A little later)

"I think we've been training for quite a bit over the last few days...," to which was met with a round of nods from each of the members of my team/family. "So I suggest that we have a nice relaxing day for once and do what we each want to do for once." This was met with another set of nods and to that also a few grins from some of the others.

"I do not really care about the rest of you, but I spotted this lovely pool a few houses back, and it looks just right for a nice long swim," Undine said to which I couldn't really blame her for wanting to swim in something larger than the typical healing pool of the Pokémon center or the tub in one of the rooms. "And if any of you little...," she stopped in mid-sentence as both Rena and Jenavee glared at her in warning to not use any foul language around the kids, "Little people, come near it; you will get the full force of my water attack!" To which she turned and slinked/slithered out the centers doors and off to her much anticipated pool for what would be a nice long swim/soak.

After a few minutes I slowly brought my gaze back from Undine's moving form and to that of Jenavee and Rena; who still had a look of 'Don't go there' still on their faces. "I have to admit that that caught me off guard." I said to no-one but everyone still turned to look at me. "Who would have thought that Undine would have been cowed by just a mere gaze from the two of you?" This was met with a few nods but mostly to that mix results from both Rena and Jenavee; as both had turned that gaze on me and almost had me flinching that the implications of that look turned on me.

The next to voice/express their wishes was that of Kit and the Glaceon, to which Kit let out a few/light yip/barks to which the Glaceon nodded and Jenavee translated so I, could understand. "Kit says that she and Glaceon want to wonder around and see what the town has to offer. She goes on to say that they would prefer to do this alone and probably will not be back until after dark." I didn't understand their need to be alone for such an extended period of time, but seeing as how the two had hit it off so nicely before, maybe Kit and Glaceon would grow even closer. I gave the two a nod to which Kit gave me a gracious nod and the two left side by side.

The last were that of Jenavee and Rena, to which they said that the kids needed a nap from all their running around; and to that they too needed the same after chasing them around for the better part of the sparing sessions earlier. I could only nod to this as, not only had they been chasing the kids around as they were living up to the old saying of 'Rambunctious as a child', to which I wished them and the kids a pleasant sleep and that I'd check-up on them in a few hours. With a brief kiss to both Rena and Jenavee, to which I also gave one to each of the droopy eyed kids, did I watch as they retreated up the stairs. 'I wish you luck with Articuno,' Jenavee sent; betraying the idea that I'd have to get rid of the team myself so that I could deal the abusive bird.

The only problem that I had at the moment was to that of where do I do the deed? I mean, after all, I was still in Hearthome city and to that was probably the most foot traffic place in Sinnoh. To which if I tried to deal with Articuno in any way, people could be pulled into a situation that really had no right butting in. So I needed to find a place/someplace that nobody would get caught up in the crossfire and to that leave me alone to implement my plan with that of Articuno.

I eventually found that my feet had carried myself on over to that of what could only be that of some kind of park. 'Pal...Park, what a strange name' I thought as I noticed a sign near the entrance to that of some kind of gateway which was made up of what could only be some kind of strange bush that someone had painstakingly pruned into that of a rounded gateway of sorts. 'I think I saw something like this once at the Home Department Store. They take chicken wire fencing, mold that wire into a shape of something, let a plant of one kind or another grow within it, and prune as needed so that it fills out the shape desired.' To which this one rose up from one side of the path, arched over, and then replanted itself into the opposite side of the path. The only thing that was unusual about it was the sign that hung down from the arch, proclaiming from that point onward was that of a 'Pal Park'.

Looking through that of the gateway I was able to see many a trainer walking about the place, more of than not with that of some cute looking Pokémon following closely at their heels. Other times the Pokémon in question would wonder off to pick up something that must have been left there on the ground, and then return or give it to their trainer in thanks. Though as I looked on to see all this heartwarming acts of love and the like, I couldn't help but want to join in the fun; only I couldn't as I was stopped by a man who suddenly stepped out from the other side of the gateway to bar my way. "I am sorry sir, but unless you have a cute Pokémon then you cannot enter the Pal Park."

At first I wasn't really getting what he was saying, but when I looked past him I noticed that the majority of Pokémon following after different Trainers were considered cute Pokémon. Pikachu, Clefairy, Psyduck, Pachirisu, Happiny, Buneary, and Drifloon were just a few of the ones that he mentioned that would allow me entry to the park. Seeing as I didn't have any of those types of Pokémon with me; much less in that of my team/family, I just simply stated that I just wanted to go for a walk through the park. At first the man didn't seem like he really believed me; and for a moment I debated with myself if I should just frighten the man with my blood red eyes to let me pass, but eventually my 'in his face request' let me pass.

'Now to find a secluded spot where I can work with Articuno,' to which I saw a bunch of abandoned/stone buildings off to the far northern section of the park, and decided to try looking there first.
