Taken by the Black Night.
This is the first story I've ever really written so please excuse my horrid writing ability.
Warning this story contains mild violence, a make out scene between M/M, some bad language. If you don't like any of the previous mentioned things, don't read this story. Otherwise, enjoy.
It was still really early when my alarm clock sounded off. The sun had just barely come up and everyone else was still asleep, aside from my mum, who I could hear typing away on the computer in the next room. I slowly got up and turned the alarm off, grabbed a towel from the closet and headed over to the bathroom.
"Good morning Taylor" My mum said peeking her head around the corner, her floppy ears swinging as she did.
"Good morning mum..."
I walked into the bathroom, turned the tub on, got undressed and got in. It felt good to soak my fur in the warm water. Nothing was clouding my mind, it was peaceful. Than a, -bang bang bang-, came from the bathroom door.
"Hey T-man, hurry up I gotta take a shower."
My oldest sister was banging at the door. I got up, dried myself off and opened the door.
"Ok ok, it's all yours. No need to yell."
I said as I walked back into my room. I lay down on my bed, thinking of what to do today. I figured I'd call my best friend and find out if he wanted to hang out today.
"Hey what's up? I got nothing to do today, wanna hang out?.......Sure I can come over right now.....Yea I can ask my mum if I can sleep over, I mean not like you live that far away, were in the same complex after all. Ok I'll be right over."
I hung up the phone. I put my black Dickie's on and put a red Volcom T-Shirt on then walked out of my room.
"Hey mum, is it alright if I sleep over at Valleyman's? His parents are going out and he wants me to keep him company."
"Why doesn't he come over here?"
"He likes it better over at his house, besides I don't want everyone buggin' us."
I went downstairs and grabbed a bowl of cereal. I ate it quickly because I wanted to get over there as soon as possible. As soon as I finished I grabbed a few things and went over to my friend's house. As I was coming up to the back of his house I saw him on his balcony. He was a beautiful black and gray wolf, and his eyes were a bright blue. He waved down at me, putting out his cigarette.
"Hey Todo, come on up bro. Doors unlocked."
"Be right there!"
I rushed to the front door, took my shoes off and hurried upstairs where Valleyman greeted me.
"Sup bro, so your moms ok with you sleeping over?"
"Yea she's cool with it, I didn't bring much over since if I do need anything I can just walk over to my house and get it. Anyway, what do ya wanna do today?"
"Hmmm, not sure, wanna come upstairs? We can play D2, I finally got my other computer up and running."
Valleyman lead me upstairs to his room, he had a lot of posters of wolves and some of anime shows and games. We sat down at his desk, where he had the two computers running, loaded up D2, and started playing online together. After a few hours of playing we decided to head down to the town center and hang out with other friends.
We got to the town center, we headed over to the pizza shop. The only thing that stood out was Puddin. He was a rather large bear, very sweet hearted and laughed at pretty much everything, He was there along with a few other friends of ours. They were all hanging out and having fun, Puddin looked over and saw me and Valleyman coming over, he smiled and giggled a little as we walked over.
"Hey Puddin, what's up?" I asked.
"Nothing much Todo, just chilling like a villain."
"Cool. Hey Valley, wanna get some pizza? I'm starving'."
"Sure why not."
We stepped into the shop and ordered some pizza then went back out. We chatted with our friends and goofed around for about an hour or two.
"Hey Todo, let's get back to my place. I'm beat."
"Sure Valley. I go where you go heheh."
We walked back up to his house, it was rather late and it was pretty dark, I forgot to call my mum, she was gonna be pissed at me. We got back to the house, went upstairs and turned the TV on and watched whatever was on cartoon network. I didn't wanna do anything at first but it was killing me inside not to.
"H-Hey...uhm...Valleyman?"
"Yea? What is it? Why you acting so shy all of a sudden?"
"Well uhm....there's....there's something..uhm...I need to tell you...uhm...I.....I..."
"Out with it already you know I hate waiting, and quit being so shy, you know you can tell me anything bro."
"I......I Love You!"
I reached out and grabbed him in my arms and kissed him, praying he wouldn't reject me. He sat there shocked by the moment then slowly eased up and took the kiss in. The next thing I know I'm waking up under the blankets to Valleyman talkin on the phone, I assumed we didn't do much since I wasn't sore. I stared out into the hall at Valley, I had a big smile on my face, he looked into the room and smiled back then ended the conversation he was having.
"Mmmmm......Hey Valley, what's up?"
"Hey, we're gonna go meet someone down in the town center at around 5:20, ok?"
"Yea sure but why this early? I was enjoying sleeping on your fur...it felt nice...."
"Heheh...maybe later we'll come back and we can uhm...continue where we left off?"
He gave me a wink then headed to his dresser and picked out a few clothes and put them on. I searched around the bed for mine. We left the house without exchanging words on what had happened in the room. We got down to the town center and proceeded behind the movie theater.
"So uhm..Valley...Where's the guy we meeting?
"He's down at the end over there. Come on."
I followed ValleyMan to the end of the alley in the back of the movie theatre. A tall black haired canine appeared from around a corner.
"Yo, sup' Valley? I got the goods if you got the money."
"Yea I got the money. Hey Todo, stay right there I gotta talk with him a bit, k?"
"uh...Alright."
I stood there waiting for Valley to finish, they were talking about something but I couldn't hear them very well, my mind was still cloudy. They shook hands when they were done talking and exchanged parcels.
"Ok, come on Todo, let's go back to my place and uhm.. Finish up heheh."
I blushed slightly and started walking with him. After we took about 10 maybe 15 steps I heard a loud bang that echoed throughout the alley. A few seconds later I see Valley fall down, and I kneel down next to him.
"Valley?! Valley?! Are-are you alright?! What happened?!" I shouted, checking his body, when a pool of blood began taking shape on his back and his stomach.
"I..l-l....lo...love...yo-...you..."
He said before taking his last breathe, his body became lifeless, his fur soaked in blood.
I started crying uncontrollably, my tears dripping on his face. Then I remembered there was that canine, I looked over and he was walking up to me, he had a gun and was pointing at me. He slowly came up to pointing the gun to my face.
"You ain't part of the problem. Valley fucked up with the wrong people, so now he pays the price. You're lucky I only here for him. You say anything about me, I WILL come find you."
He slowly walked backwards keeping the gun on me then quickly ran off. I sat there, tears flowing down my cheeks, I didn't know what to do....I pulled out my cell phone and called one of my friends, I could barely talk but managed to get a few words out.
"P-P-P-Pudd-d-d-in, g-get th-the ot-others an-and g-g-get t-t-to the b-b-ack of-of-of the mo-movie theaters."
I dropped the phone and cried on Valleys body, his fur soaked in blood and tears. About 10 minutes later my friends came around the corner in their car, they parked right next to us and got out.
"What the fuck happened?!"
One of them asked, they were all crowded around, I couldn't speak anymore, and I just sat there crying into Valley's fur. After about 5 minutes they picked me up, and put me in the car. They put Valley's body in the trunk.
Somewhere along the ride I passed out. Next thing I know I'm waking up in the back seat of the car, it was sometime in the afternoon. I slowly got up and looked to see where we were; it was one of the off-road trails we would go out to every now and then.
Everyone was all huddled around what looked like a grave. Valley's parents were here, I guess Puddin' had called them. I got out of the car and walked over slowly. Everyone turned and looked at me; their faces all had the same sad look. All I remember is agreeing not to talk about this to any police or media. His parents didn't want any attention drawn to the incident.
This story is as true as I remember. My good friend, who shall be known as ValleyMan, Died august 1st, 2005, approximately 5:30am. I chose to write this story simply because it helps me to tell others about it. No I will not answer any questions some of you may have about my friend or any other characters in the story.
